Puyero Venezuelan Flavor

My daughter and I loved everything about this restaurant. The service was terrific. The tables had beautiful, colorful coverings. The food was amazing and almost everything is gluten free! I had an arepa with chicken salad, it comes topped with creamy shredded gouda. She had the chicken empanadas, which were crispy and delicious. I can't wait to return and try more dishes.

30 mins wait time for a chicken arepa. The arepa wasn't even that great to justify the wait. They should have some paper napkins on each table and maybe some sauces? Atleast offer a glass of water to the patrons while they wait. There's a much better arepa place in Italian market with significantly less wait times and they have a few delicious sauces on the side.

I wanted to try something new for takeout that was also comforting and this was great! The clasica chachapas was so delicious and sweet and the parilla (grilled beef) arepa was amazing. The tequeños were very good and approachable but I didn't need them because of how generous the other portions were. The takeout experience was great and it was well packaged. Herb mayo is a must here!!!!

Stopped in for a late lunch - deeply tasty, fresh and satisfying without leaving us stuffed. Sadly they were out of the cilantro lemonade - but it was 85 in April which means it must be good. Got the Papelon con Limon instead. Which, while sweet on its own makes perfect sense with the food & has plenty of lemon.The Arepa Reina Pepiada Especial was tasty and satisfying but the Patacon Pinton was the winning selection (there were no losers though)Definitely worth a stop in. The shredded meats smelled amazing, for another day.

Went here for a quick lunch break and it was rlly good. Service was quick and fast, definitely a more casual place to get something to eat on South St. i got the sweet plantains w/ cheese on top and the pabellon arepa. Portion sizes were BIG, definitely able to share between two individuals. For the appetizer + arepa, it was $19, which is pretty decent given the size.

10/10 food. Would come back. Friendly server. Cute dining area. So yummy. Done. Send.

Pedi cachapa y estaba bastante buena. Para mi 8 de 10. Lo que no me gusto, es que no venden café y pedí mantequilla para la cachapa y tampoco tienen mantequilla y eso es increíble porque para mí cachapa sin mantequilla, no es lo mismo. El patacón si estaba delicioso.

Walking in everyone in the building is speaking very fast Spanish. Guaranteed authenticity. I loved the food. I got what the man at the counter recommended and it was amazing. Very nice vibe in the building. Always love great food at good prices.

Bright and cheerful this fun little restaurant is a great opportunity to try some delicious Venezuelan street food. Both easy in and carry out available.
