Pompei’s State Street Sandwiches

Wow. Wow. Wow.Stopped in here to grab lunch and oh my god. We will be back here.We both got specials. I got the roast beef panini special with cherry peppers, prov, horseradish, hand carved roast beef. Probably the best roast beef I've ever had?????My husband got "the Rachel" special- turkey, spicy slaw, Swiss cheese, homemade thousand island.Both came with fries that were coated with some amazing seasoning.Both were seriously so freaking amazing?! Where has this place been all our lives. We can't wait to come back. And the staff was so sweet and friendly!!!

Service is quick and food is yummy. Portions are also good. I never end up eating it all in one sitting.

OMG I have died and gone to heaven. I am so stoked to have this place in walking distance from my house in the Media Borough. Growing up, the Riddle Ale House was our family gathering place for special occasions or just a Friday night Roast Beef. When Pompei's sold the place years ago, we were so disappointed. Now that they are back in the borough, I am a happy girl.Now, they've been there a while but they never seemed to be open when I walked by. Today was my lucky day. The hot roast beef (thinly sliced sky high beef) with sharp provalone, horseradish and fries did not disappoint. It was just as good if not better than the Ale House (except the pickle was missing). I now have my "Go To" sandwich shop. I guess I'll be staying in the borough!!! Please extend your hours!

The Hand Carved Roast Beef Sandwich was outstanding. Was the best around when I used to go to the Riddle Ale House for it and am happy to report it's just as good now in its new home in Media.

Yum! I got the chicken pesto panini and it was delicious, as well as a good size. Don't forget about those crispy, golden fries. I took my order to-go and both the panini and fries stayed in perfect form. Although, the inside of the shop is very cute and somewhere I would enjoy dining-in at. I will definitely be back to try that roast beef sandwich everyone is raving about. Thanks!

State Street is such a great spot for lunch/a quick bite to eat. I only just recently came across this sandwich shop and have already been there too many times to count! I highly recommend their sausage sandwich and goat cheese wrap!

Great service ... thanks Gary! Fair price for a good sandwhich on the go... however it's so large I'd suggest taking a seat to eat or!! Clean and good vibe inside and out... give it a go if you're near.

Had one of the best cheesesteaks of my life from here today!! Perfect quantity and quality meat and cheese mixed on a seeded rolll with the coveted grill juice!!!! Great fries too. Thanks very much to the staff!

Great sandwiches loaded with everything ! My husband and I stopped in and had a Reuben and a Rachel both were delicious . Sandwiches came with tasty fries. You order then sandwiches or salads are brought to the table . This was a very friendly place with employees going above and beyond.
