Mike and Emma's Sandwich Shop

This was a cute little cheesesteak spot in PA that was close to the area I was in and had good reviews so I wanted to try! You ordered from a little window and the staff was friendly and patient. I shared a sandwich with my mom and it was good and satisfying!!

I really enjoyed the Italian Special. The meat and provolone tasted so fresh, and I appreciate there was no lettuce. Big slices of tomato that didn't make the roll soggy. 10/10 hoagie!

I grew up eating these hoagies absolutely delicious still go out of my way to get them now living in lam Lancaster I take the hour and 20 min ride just to get them so so good

Best Italian special hoagie in DELCO (and there is a lot of good competition). The long hots boost the heat pretty high. Cash only. Sandwich handed to you through a glass screen door.

I had them on my radar for a while after a friend had recommended to me. I ordered takeout on Saturday, Told me 15 minutes which was perfect. I asked if the accepted debit or credit and they replied CASH ONLY. I am not sure if they have an ATM inside, because you couldn't go in to the store. I had cash on me thank god, but they should fix that in the covid world. Walked up to the window a woman asked me if I ordered, so I gave her my name. She returned with my sandwich. I handed over my cash and she returned back again with my change. I ordered a cheesesteak w/ fried onions, salt, pepper and ketchup. It was meaty and full of flavor. The roll was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The onions could have been fried a little more, and I prefer the ketchup even distributed but it was just on the top. I would definitely give them another try if in the area again, but there are other spots that I need to try to see which one will be my go to for cheesesteaks.

What I learned today...1) They don't make hoagies with lettuce... 2) The nice young lady who does the cooking is in her mid-80s and has been cooking for 60+ years3) Their homemade meatballs was worth stopping in for... 4) I forgot what it was like to burn the roof of my mouth and upper lip until I took my first bite of this piping hot sandwich!! (I'm used to being served lukewarm food apparently!)I was given a tip that there was a great meatball sandwich made here.... This sandwich was so good that I almost shed a tear. It was nice to see this family run business making sandwiches the same way that was done for decades.. I ordered one sandwich for eat in, and an Italian to take home for later.. The gentleman cooking the cheesesteak told me that they didn't serve lettuce, but make.their hot peppers in-house. I got there when they opened and the place filled up pretty quickly. I had been passing this place for years. Now I know why it was always crowded inside.

The good: Sandwich was delicious. I got the tuna hoagie with tomato and onion with mayo. It was simple .... Italian style :). The roll was fresh. The tuna was Cento like. The not so nice: Cash only. No prices on the paper menu they still pass thru the small window in the door.... Meaning you still can't go in. From what I read the cook is like 80 years old so .... Can you blame them? Meatball sandwich is next

Best in Delco for 90+ years, I've been eating them for 60+ years.Hoagies & steaks great. Want something really special, try the Hot sausage w/ provolone, fried onions, fried long hots & tomato.They use the best tuna, Italian packed in an olive oil...Cento brand.

Been getting sandwiches here for over 50 years love how fresh everything is . Mike & Emma where always so pleasant now they have handed the reins to their daughter and her husband

Been coming to Mike and Emma's since i was 12 yrs. old . I've lived in Bucks Count y for 30 yrs. and still visit there . Delicious !!!
