Let me start with that LaSpada's is my go-to hoagie spot. There are so many of them around and many, MANY of them are good. But none of them are LaSpada's. None of them deliver the same way they do, with perfect seeded bread, great quality meat, high quality cheeses, and everything perfectly stacked and squeezed so nothing falls apart. They also aren't the cheapest, but considering the menu prices I've seen lately for cheesesteaks and hoagies elsewhere, they are still on the softer side of the pocket, providing SO MUCH sandwich for the moderate price tag. Steering away from the Old Fashioned Italian is very hard for me because it is just so dang good. However, I have had many different things on their menu, essentially running all the way through the hoagie list, trying their cheesesteak the way I like it prepared, boneless wings, salads, etc. and nothing I have had has ever been disappointing. Never cold, but I have never had delivery. I am someone who generally will prefer to pick up their own food, simply because I'm usually out and about anyway, and you can never account for who is delivering your food, or what happens between the time it leaves and when it gets to you. Although, I have heard their delivery is legendary for being quite quick. In my many travels here, I have had the opportunity to sit down and eat, and the space is pretty typical for a sandwich spot in Delco. No frills, but why should you need them when all you're looking for is a delicious sandwich that will fill you up and make you smile and want to take a nap afterward. The rotating cast of characters behind the counter are generally the same four or five people I usually see, and they're all generally nice; I have never had a bad experience or bad encounter, but it is the kind of classic place where you are expected to get your order over with and keep it moving, whether that be in person or over the phone. Some people may be bothered by that, but that's a general feature of living in the Philadelphia area, and if you're not used to it yet, you're likely not from here, or simply not adjusted to it yet.....you will eventually. Besides, everything here is worth it, and this should definitely be your next stop when a sandwich is on the bill.

So good. Brings me right back to childhood! Very quick service. Friendly staff. I had the cheese steak with provolone. Hubby got the large cheese stake with wiz. Had our 5 year old try both. Tried to get her to tell us which one was better but she said both were tens!

In the area, so decided on a cheesesteak. Place is very clean, particularly the dining area tables, which were remarkably clean. My cheesesteak with sweet peppers was tasty, and the roll was fresh. 4-star because of Pepsi products only, but that's a personal preference - would like to have seen Coke. Nevertheless, I would like to try a hoagie from LaSpada's in the future.

Sadly with the pandemic you cannot go inside the building. So I ordered over the phone and picked up in their store front parking. They were nice, very busy at lunch and my sandwich was out to me in ten minutes.Menu wise they have a lot of good choices. They highlight an Italian hoagie that states it "made them famous" so I'll have to try that sometime, but I was all in when I noticed their Chicken Cutlet sandwich offering mentioned they make their cutlets daily. They have several Chicken Cutlet varieties, I chose the Old-Fashioned which comes with Prosciutto, sharp provolone and roasted red peppers. A large was 12" and according to the employee they use Liscios rolls. My first impression of the sandwich was that I should have went with a 7" mini because it was a big sandwich. The bread was fresh and very good. They really packed the chicken in there, but flavor wise it was pretty dry, salty and bland. The roasted red's were very tasty, the sharp provolone needed to be sharper and the prosciutto was just fine. The sandwich was $10 and wasn't bad, I would try some of their other creations. I like the option of having their Cheesesteak meat sliced or chopped and they have a roast pork or a po boy offering as well. I'll try them again and order a bit earlier next time.

Stopped by recently for 8 assorted hoagies and 8 assorted cheese steaks to take on a long trip back to the Washington DC area. All made right after opening time in the morning. The ladies were all wonderful to chat with while waiting. They packaged the meats and the fixings individually in plastic wrap separate from the 'to die for' bread that's the key to a good Philly hoagy or cheese steak. I didn't think of that nor ask for it. All on their initiative once they knew this was a take out to DC. Of course I tipped them big time! Look, I don't know if they are the BEST steaks and hoagies in Philly. But they are the BEST me and my guests - all Philly natives - have had in years.

For a small establishment, this store is really clean. The food came out really quick and everything was amazing. Service good too. I've already recommended this place.

I've been on a quest for a good cheesesteak for a long time, and I've hit many of the Delco spots by now. When I happened upon La Spada on MacDade, I really thought I'd found the perfect spot...finally! Unfortunately, I don't think the search is over yet! I've been there four different times now, and ordered four different varieties. The place itself is great- - very clean, friendly staff, good selection, comparable pricing etc. But, sad to say, the steaks themselves just aren't all that tasty. Of the four I've had (all on different days, so very probably cooked by different employees) all were dry. The cheese was virtually impossible to find, in any of them! I suppose ordering extra cheese is an option, but I don't think that should be necessary. Yes, they were stuffed with meat, but they were just plain boring. I'm bummed, because I really thought I'd finally found the right spot. Sigh....
