Cluck and Gills

Soooo there is a line for them for sure but I wish the chicken was crispier with better flavor. It was just ok. Nothing special or popping about flavor. Just OK. It's in an interactive section of germantown so keep your head on a swivel as you talk through plexiglass and yup-- communication confusion will happen. No need for us to return.

I was on my way home to make a salad coming from the produce store, lol. However, this little gem was on my route home. I've been wanting to try Cluck & Gills for a while now I was starving so I stopped in. I know, I know lol!! What about my salad. Anywho!! lol I ordered the buffalo shrimps with fries. The gentleman at the window was really nice he took my order asked for my name and number and texted me when the food was ready. It didn't take long at all.The shrimps were pretty good the sauce was yummy. He gave me two blue cheese & their specialty cluck sauce to dip my fries in. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. I'll make sure that I take plenty of pics upon my return.Oh!! They have lots of yummy sauces to choose from...I recommend this spot, go and check them out!!! Peeeaaaaccce!!

I ordered the shrimp and crab fries withoutCheese. The fries were dry and the shrimp were small for jumbo shrimp. I think that there should be some sort of sauce for the fries if you do not want cheese. No excuse for the shrimp. Will not go there again. I do not recommend.

I miss living in crab-obsessed-Maryland quite often. These crabby fries from Cluck & Gills satisfied my craving... for now. The type of dish that you gotta eat immediately, the cheese gets funny the more it sits.

I don't get here often but when I do I enjoy it. The food taste great. Always fresh. The fries come out perfect. The service is always top notch. The staff is always pleasant. For a take out the ambiance is cool. It's always clean and kept on the outside and on the inside as far as the eyes can see. Will return.

This black-owned establishment usually has the line down the street, and with the quality of food and service, that is expected. The food was fried well and made fresh to order. Let me explain...I ordered the chicken sandwich and the crab fries (true crab fries with crab on top w/ a cheese fondue). It and the chicken sandwich were made to perfection; though I am not a fan of crab, I am sure many who are would enjoy the bed of fresh and crispy fries that it sits atop. Moreover, the chicken sandwich was my favorite as it was juicy, and the pickles added the fresh acidity needed to round the flavor out. The soft bun of the brioche also complimented the sandwich well as it held together the thick chicken breast that lay between it. The shrimp and fries were fresh, fried, and crispy, and with their house sauce ( bang bang sauce)- sweet and spicy and the (cluck sauce), they were perfect for dipping the whole pieces of shrimp in. My only wish is that the breading of the shrimp was seasoned so well that it would go well even without the sauce. This place is solid.

Saw a tik tok about this place and had to check them out. Came on a rainy night and there was still a crowd outside! Order ahead wasn't available, so we had to order at the window. The food is made to order so it does take a while for food to be done. The crab fries are delicious and the crab was fresh. The shrimp were missing something, I'm not quite sure what it is.

I love this small business. Efficient and friendly service and tasty affordable food. Cluck + Gills is the only "fast food" I eat. The crab fries are the best. Thank you for being a high quality Black Owned option in the neighborhood!

Saw this place on tik tok from one of my fav Philly food influencers and I'm so glad I can trust her reviews because this place was right up my alley! I wanted to try all the seafood options so I went for the crab fries, fried shrimp and the fish sandwich and tore it up! The staff was kind and worked diligently. The place is a takeout only restaurant so be prepared to stand outside and wait for your food, but the wait shouldn't be longer than 10-15 minutes. Definitely going to give this place a try again! Yum yum yum

Baby!!! When I tell you....this is good!First, didn't know this place was so close to my house. I'm working remotely, in meetings all day, and can't prepare anything for myself. So I hop on Doordash.I order the Crab fries, and the chicken tenders. These ain't to pre-breaded and frozen tenders! They taste fresh. Like they took actual chicken breast and cut them to size. Seasoned well, not over done with the seasoning. Can still taste that it's chicken. I got the cluck sauce and bang sauce. Both sauces we so good. Couldn't choose which one was better.The fries by themselves were MEH. Shaky.HOWEVER...those same "meh" fries are used for their crab fries. This crab topping....WHAT!! They were not stingy with the crab! And the basic fries allows you to appreciate just how good the crab is. The crab topping was well season, and not overcooked. Definitely appreciate what I paid for this meal. And most def trying something new next time.
