A nice Cafe with a European feel. The temperature and furnishings were comfortable. The food and service were excellent. I'd never had a pistachio croissant with orange glaze. It was different. I liked it!

Disclaimer: This is more like a 3.5 star rating. Very nice ambiance, maybe one of the best in the city to have a cup of coffee. However, I have not been impressed by their drinks. Their Iced Lavender Latte (couldn't taste the lavender) as well as their hot Mocha (hardly any chocolate) were below average and quite disappointing considering the great reviews. On the contrary, I have had a good experience with their baked goods like the Bomboloni Choco Hazelnut and Maritozzi. Both are super soft on the outside and stuffed generously with the filling. I did find the hazelnut a tad too sweet for my liking. I'll definitely try their breakfast and lunch options next because those seem to be their USP.

A friend of ours (who loves great pastry), recommended this and I have to say her recommendation was spot on! To accompany our light roast coffee, we each ordered Bombolini: one Bavarian cream, the other chocolate hazelnut. As expected, the La Colombe coffee was excellent. Bombolini were fresh, tender and not too sweet, which is the way it should be. Service was friendly and efficient and the ambiance is also excellent; quiet with ample places to sit, chat or even work. We're both really looking forward to visiting it again!

I didn't eat here but I love the vibe, La Colombe coffee, and super friendly staff. My cold brew was perfection on a gorgeous day exploring Old City and I love the splash they've made in the neighborhood in a fairly short amount of time. The pastry and dessert case looked out of this world. I can't wait to return and try much of their menu - patry included! It's hard to find true cafes that still feel homey and inviting, which is always my preference to the more stark and modern trends that have seemed to permeate cafe culture here in the states. Cafe Toila is a great spot to sit and read, chat with a date, get some work done, or just hang out in a nice environment. Exposed bricks, lovely art on the walls, and clean bathrooms. What more can you ask for?

Food: Got the Tolia Classic without prosciutto and it was a very well balanced sandwich with burrata in every bite, roasted tomato, and arugula. You get hints of fresh garlic as well. The bread was a bit crunchier than I would've liked but overall solid sandwich for a cafe. Also got the strawberry tart, which was not very impressive. While the strawberry compote on top was nice, the crust of the tart fell short. I really wanted to try their donuts but they ran out by 1pm on a Friday. Service: Great service, food is delivered to your table and you can pick up drinks at the counter. Ambiance: So very cute coffee shop vibes. Lots of seating inside with free Wi-FiWould I go back? Definitely! I want to try their pastries next time and would definitely be a great place to sit and work for a few hours or grab a quick bite.

I'm not surprised why this place has 5 solid stars. I think this is the cutest local cafe I've ever been in the city. So clean, well decorated, warm, and homey. With jazz music on the background, you can relax or have a nice time hanging out with friends. The owner was super sweet with lots of smiles. Soft spoken and has pride on her baked goods. She explained well all of my questions. I'm glad to see that there were returning customers, whom she recognized immediately. I ordered my decaf cappuccino and I enjoyed very much because it was made with la Colombe coffee. If you happen to be in Old City area, don't forget to stop by.

Such a delightful addition to the neighborhood. When I saw that a new cafe was coming, I was unsure. Did we need another cafe with at least five decent cafes in the area? Once I visited, I can say yes, we do need this. The proprietors are charming and sweet. The decor is stylish but comfortable. There is plenty of room to linger over coffee or a meal or to meet up with friends. The food and coffee are good, with baked goods made fresh on site. I tried a multi-grain croissant. It was a really interesting take on croissant, and I enjoyed it. My house guest loved her chocolate croissant that I brought home to her. The coffees, made with La Colombe, are good. They keep Milk Bones behind the counter in case you stop in quickly for a to-go coffee with your pooch. Check their IG, where you can find out what pastries they are making that day. That's how I saw that they had a savory cake (aka quick bread) that I NEEDED to swing by and try. With fresh herbs, feta cheese, and olives, it was a moist, savory morning treat.

Worth a stop if you're in Philadelphia. Lovely shop with exposed brick and paneled interior. Nice and light/bright. They accept Apple Pay which was really nice. Staff were friendly and everything was delicious.

Stopped by Cafe Tolia in Philadelphia and had a pleasant experience overall. We ordered a latte, a cappuccino, and a bomboloni a la crema. The coffee was decent, though we found the flavor a bit on the mild side. If you're someone who prefers a bolder coffee taste, you might find it lacking. That said, the presentation was excellent--everything looked inviting and well-prepared.What really stood out was the atmosphere. The café has a warm, cozy vibe, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the music in the background added to the great ambience. While the coffee could have been a bit stronger, the overall experience makes this spot worth visiting.
