"Legit Philly Pho! Simply delicious! Clean broth and less MSG than NYC options. The parking in the plaza is chaotic but the fo water od was worth it"
"Nam Phuong makes legit Vietnamese food. I've brunched and lunched here with family and friends for years.Nam Phuong is a popular South Philly restaurant. Thankfully there's plenty of seating; room for a crowd. Driving? There's (tight) shopping center parking, and street parking too. They make a mean bowl of pho and there's plenty on the menu if you're not in a soup mood. The lotus root salad is totally killer, the bo luc lac is savory. Who doesn't love beef cubes?Recommended if you need a Vietnamese fix!Dependable, efficient service. Credit accepted.PRO TIP: Want to spice up your meal, and Sriracha won't cut it? Ask for red chili peppers. (I didn't know they offered those until this past week!)"

"Excellent - darn close to 5 star.Had not been here since pre-pandemic but Pho Thai Nam is even better than I remember, albeit higher prices than back in 2019/2018/2017.Service was efficient and ultra quick. We enjoyed Shrimp Spring (Summer) rolls - not fried.Delicious Tom Kha soup (my fave - and they make a good one here!)Chick Pho (my friend) and Pork over Vermicelli (me).So tasty - we devoured nearly every bite! (Took a small bit home, too good to leave it behind).Lunch is still a good value but it is NOT $12 any more! Can't wait to visit again."
"QT was ready ahead of my pickup time and (surprisingly!) even called me to tell me my sandwich was ready. They've stepped up their game since I went there years ago, and I'll be back again soon. Their QT Special Banh mi was delicious - recommendation? Get it with a fried egg on top!"
"Love the decorations at the restaurant!A decent crowd on Friday night, it was about 15 mins wait for the table, but you can always grab a drink at the bar while you are waiting.Thy got a pretty big menu, I am sure you can always find something you like, the menu is also available online.Service was quick and friendly, it was a pretty satisfying portion for the food, the spring rolls were tasty and cut up in proper size. The broth of the noodles soup was flavorful. Also highly recommend their salt and pepper shrimp, simply delicious."
"Got some banh mi delivered. The food kept very well even though it was delivery. I loved the Obama Bowl. I think it was the perfect meal. The bowl contains grilled pork and grilled pork sausage. It was definitely food meant for a former President. The Phở Brisket was very good as well. I think it was really cool that they incorporated pho into their banh mi sandwiches. The grilled beef tasted amazing as well. ***Update- my roommate and I both ended up getting sick after the food. Hopefully this is a one time thing and was just a fluke."
"My friend and I came here on a whim for dinner one night and had a great meal. It wasn't very busy, so service was quick and attentive. We started out by splitting a bao bun with crispy tofu, carrots, scallion, cucumber, and hoisin sauce. The bao was nice and fluffy, but not the best I've ever had.For my main entree, I got the Bun Dau Hu Cha Gio Chay (vermicelli dish) with crispy tofu, a veggie roll, lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts, and peanuts. It was really yummy and refreshing on a warm summer night.Overall we had a solid dinner and I'd return, probably in the fall or winter for a cozy, warm dish!"
"Delicious. Easy takeout. Online order. Lots of options (although I wish they had pad see ew). No in house seating. Not much today besides try it for yourself, i will definitely be back."
"I have been going to Cafe Nhan for years and have always enjoyed my meal here. There's only a few places in Philly that specialize in bún bò Huế and there are some things that make Cafe Nhan stand out. The đặc biệt option contains pork blood (a must) and they also have shrimp paste and chili sauce on the side if you want to add any. I love adding both as a salty and spicy girl, although the bbh is great as is. Service is good, although I find that appetizers usually come out after the main meal which doesn't bother me, but might bother someone else. Currently, this is my go-to bbh restaurant. This is a super casual restaurant with friendly staff."
"I love coming here! We usually climb over at Movement Callowhill and work up a big appetite to nosh at Pho 20. The owners are so sweet and friendly, they know we come in and order shrimp summer rolls (the cold rice paper rolls with lettuce and noodles) along with my FAVE: the BBQ tofu banh mi. There has only been one time I came for the banh mi and it was not available - thank goodness! The food is always consistent, quick, yummy, and made fresh! My little one requests Pho 20 regularly, and while she is not currently employed to help with the tab, she does finish her food with a big smile on her face! It's a cute little place on the corner of Vine and 10th street, as you enter Chinatown from Callowhill. There's plenty of space for a table or booth, so we haven't ever had a wait."
"The banh mi was pretty good. Bread was soft. The jalapeños were extremely spicy. I felt there could've been more pickled veggies added onto the sandwich. The grilled lemongrass pork spring rolls were to die for. Not many places add the crispy fried egg roll skin into the spring rolls but these had it included and makes it 10x more enjoyable. Fair priced and quick. Plenty of different food and drink items to purchase made to order or set out in the heat lamp areas or fridges to grab and go. There is nowhere to sit and eat so you'll want to plan to take this to go at the park or home. They do take card but will add a fee for electronic transactions so bring cash if you can. This will remain my go to stop for quick take out viet snacks. And parking is always a plus."
"A nice pho place in Center City, Philadelphia; one of the few that opens early (11 am) for lunch. As expected, no-frills service but dishes came quickly. Simple decor, but hey there's a power outlet by the table! That comes in handy to charge phones. Their pho is pretty standard; authentic and delicious."

This was so good...broth is clean and deep at the same time. The meat and noodles could use some help though...

Absolutely one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in south Philly. The fact that they have large space to have a party amazes me in such a small strip mall. It is situated near an Asian grocery store next to several other Vietnamese restaurants. Parking is generally available and free, however you'll be lucky enough to score a spot. The services are excellent; they will do everything they can to make your meal pleasant. One of my favorite dishes that they have there that I couldn't find anywhere else is the large sized appetizer 124.Pho is on the larger portion end, plenty of bean sprouts to come with. Really great on your wallet.

It is difficult to get me to admit there might be better pho than those bowls served up on Washington Ave in the city. That being said, Pho Thai Nam is at least as good as any I've found in the city.We often just come for a big bowl of Pho. It will fill you up and is created with care. On a few (extra hungry) type occasions, we'll add an app - our usual go-to is Summer Rolls, which are also solid additions to your meal. We've checked out a few other dishes, which have also been good but seriously why go with a non-Pho dish when their Pho dish is so good? The restaurant is kept clean and a decent size. I'm not saying you'll never need to wait, but I've never had to wait long for a 2-top. Service is also friendly and welcoming. Honestly, hard to even think of a potential recommendation for improvement in this review - go give them a go!

I was searching on Yelp for Vietnamese sandwiches and this place showed up on the lists which recalled me having been to this place many years ago so I decided to go back when I was on the way to Washington DC. It's in the heart of Chinatown in Philly, just right off of the main road. They are friendly and welcoming. There were seatings before but after the pandemic, they changed to takeout only. The store is not that big, but you can feel the authenticity inside. I ordered the No-toasted spicy Banh Mi because I sometimes find the toasted one too hard to bite down and it ends up hurting my mouth's ceiling lol (funny but true). Banh Mi here is very special and delicious, I really like the flavor and texture of the fillings. I specifically love the one with pork pate. If you are going to Chinatown in Philly and love Vietnamese sandwiches, you should try and (maybe) let me know how you like it. :)

The lot right next door was great for parking. All and all the food was great and would say the one fish curry stole the show. The tempora shrimp was good too!

I stumbled on this spot while bar hopping in South Philly. This is a great place to go with a group because of all the shareable plates you can order, and there's a nice cocktail list with Asian flavors. I had the Jasmine Tease ($15), which was good but didn't really have any of the jasmine tea flavor. We also ordered:Papaya salad ($11) - I don't remember this dish that well but I've never met a papaya salad I didn't like.Tamarind wings ($11) - loved how crispy and sticky these wings were, the sauce was really well seasoned. Obama bowl ($20] - this was a showstopper dish with all the herbs and noodles. Everything tasted really fresh and I was impressed by all the fixing that came with the meal. Overall, there are a lot of dishes to try here portion sizes are pretty good. A good place to end or start the night!

Whenever we come to visit we almost always come here. I love that they are open late because sometimes we're coming from the airport tired and hungry and just wanting to pick up something good without it being overly greasy. All the options are good. My faves have been anything Vermicelli... got the lemongrass one last time and it was good.

"Taking a stroll in the neighborhood of the side to stop by to get some bubble tea. I was surprised how fair the prices were considering how expensive it can be in this area. The boba tea came in four different sweetness levels which I think was cool. I got Thai tea cuz I'm basic. My Thai tea was pretty tasty and the large size was definitely larger than I expected.I definitely will be back to come hang out and drink some bubble tea and enjoy the plant life."
"I love Pho Ha Saigon! The food is consistent, so I know what to expect every time I go.They've recently started to charge $2 extra for additional sauce if you're taking the food out. This is a new practice for them, but if you want to swap hoisin for sriracha or chili paste, you can likely do that without paying the extra, but be specific when you order. If you want all of the sauces, you're likely to have the extra fee. If you sit inside, you can use the sauces as you please. It gets busy, but they have plenty of seating, so you should be seated shortly after arriving."
"I've been coming to this gem for years. The food is outstanding. I generally order the same thing, which is shrimp fried rice and Pho. But, they have never let me down. The woman at the front is always very personable and thankful for the business. We really do not have any Pho places in the far NE. But, this is it! If you haven't given them a try, I definitely recommend it."
"Great banh mi and chicken salad and cold Vietnamese coffee and veggie rolls. Ate outside at two wobbly tables. Great counter service brought to the table."
"A friend introduce me to Pho for the first time and I'm grateful. This is a very nice BYOB in Wilmington located on Concord Pike. The staff is very pleasant and the food arrives to your table very quickly, everything was amazingly fresh and well prepared. The various flavors were a foodies delight and I look forward to returning to try something new!Our Dining Pleasures: Chicken Pho Seafood Pho Summer Rolls Grilled Ground Beef wrapped in Grape LeavesThis is a MUST TRY gem!"
"Ate there a few times and the meals were wonderful. The coffee is exceptional. The location is convenient."
"It's so been so many years since I've been here. YEARS. I remember having somewhat of a bad experience here and so I put it to I rest. My daughter dined here the other night and came home raving about it so I had to see for myself. I ordered crispy shrimp spring rolls and grilled pork pho. The spring rolls were delicious and the pho was warm and comforting. One thing I might add however, is I expected the pork to be a slow grilled meaty pork chop. Thick and tender. I received grilled pork but it was very thin . More like "shaved" pork. It still tasted ok, however I was a tiny bit disappointed. The place is small and it felt like it was important to eat and depart, however the food was decent and the complimentary coconut jello was a sweet surprise. (BYOB!)"
"Pho 75 (at this location) serves many varieties of pho and beverages. It does not have summer rolls, buns, or other Vietnamese dishes you may see on other pho restaurant menus. I think it was the first pho in Philadelphia (I haven't checked this) it was also the first pho I ever tried. Pho75 (this location) serves the best broth I've ever tasted. Its not fatty (yay)! It's serious pho! My friend ordered the rib eye and brisket. I'd the beef and meatballs. The broth was the star of the show as it should be. The service was prompt and the ambiance is quiet at 2:30pm. No need to order the large, the regular size is huge! If you want serious pho, go there!"
"This is a gem! I'm so happy to be close enough to enjoy the authentic flavors and lovely energy. I'm a bit ashamed at myself for my tardy review, after being here on a weekly lol.I generally get takeout and the food is so amazing I go in...and have no pictures. I'll update and do so. Order the spring rolls! These are a so bomb and the dipping sauce is so perfect. I normally get the Bun with noodles; do the combo steak and shrimp. This is so good for a light but filling meal. The portions are great so you'll have a bit more for later. That's always a plus. The lovely dressing for the Bun makes everything pop. Call your order in or have a seat. Check the schedule. Mom n Pop are enjoying themselves and still bless us with the goodness!"
"The PHO deluxe is very good. Fresh and plentiful. In the day that a fast food burger is $10 - this $14 Pho is awesome."
"I was literally driving here on the way home and immediately I thought about their delicious spring rolls that are the crispiest rolls I've ever had in my life combined with that good sauce. So I called in order to spring rolls and made a u-turn. The spring rolls were done in less than 10 minutes and I showed up ate them in the car so fast that forgot to take a picture. I still haven't had the lunch special here yet, but I'm definitely getting it tomorrow since I'll be closer to the area"
"I called in an order for pho and bun bo hue, but the person on the other line wasn't familiar with those names. Eventually we figured it out, and I placed an order over the phone that my wife picked up. However, when she brought it home, all the pho soup containers had leaked, so it was a bit of a mess in the bag. Everything else was nicely packaged, though. The pho tasted good - not too salty, noodles soft, and beef was tender and flavorful. I would get it again, although it's a little far from home."
"The C S is a neighborhood restaurant located in the Adam's Plaza shopping mall, a very busy strip mall located on Adams Avenue, conveniently located right off of the Roosevelt Boulevard. The restaurant has some really authentic, and delicious Vietnamese food.MDW, and I stopped in for a quick lunch and we both ordered Bahn Mi's with roasted pork, an order of summer rolls, and some pork fried rice. The Bahn Mi's were very good, as were the summer rolls. The pork fried rice had some little diced sausage mixed in which was a nice touch. My cold Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was good but could have used a lot less ice which took up most of the glass...All and all Cafe Saigon is a good place to satify your craving for some good Vietnamese food."
"The bbq spare ribs were incredible! So good, had a nice little bit of char, delicious depth of flavor and I could sit there any eat it all day!The house special pho was okay not great. In my opinion, it didn't have very good depth of broth. I would say it's not bad, but not great either.Ambiance is nice, clean and friendly. Prices are reasonable as well. It's in a nice mall that seems very up and coming. Overall if you are craving pho, this spot is not bad. If you want barbecue ribs, this spot is amazing!"
"One of my go to spots for quick Vietnamese since they serve both rice and noodle dishes. My son is a broken rice platter lover and my daughter would eat pho every day if she could. So the best place I know that has both that are decent is this place."
"I went here on a weekday around lunch. An older man was sitting up front and got up to take my order and was pretty friendly. It also only took like 5 minutes to pull together my vegetarian hoagie which was great. Heads up that it is cash only.I took it over to Franklin square since the weather was nice and I was happy with the fresh bread. I didn't get the spicy version but I think I will next time because I think it could use just a tad more flavor. It was still a great lunch for $7."
"So good, solid and dependable spot for Vietnamese hoagies. They take Venmo now!Their classic banh mi is delicious and is perfect for lunch or dinner. Or breakfast, which I just had..."
"I am updating my prior spectacular review to reiterate that this is really an amazing gem with delicious and beautifully crafted food. How remarkable to find this in a storefront on South Street! Everything is cooked perfectly and truly a cut above the other many excellent Vietnamese restaurants. It is also such a sweet, comfortable atmosphere inside. And Corey is an attentive host, explains the food if you have any questions, and clearly takes great pride and satisfaction in taking care of his guests."
"Pho Le Lai is a Vietnamese restaurant located on St. Vincent Street in the Mayfair neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia. It is found in the same building as 1st Asian Supermarket, making it convenient to eat and shop for our Southeast Asian grocery needs. Both are closer to our Bucks County home, saving time compared to either Chinatown (traffic & parking) or Washington Avenue (traffic). I was the sole customer when I walked in around 3 P.M. The cordial manager got up from reading the newspaper and seated me at the table next to her and handed me their multi page menu. Another friendly woman came out of the kitchen with a pitcher of cold water, to answer questions and take my order. That was simple - Pho Tai and Roast Pork Banh Mi (This is a pho house, after all.) Ten minutes later she was back with the "Small" bowl of steaming beef noodle soup requested, and a side plate of exceptionally fresh standard accoutrement (sprouts, sliced jalapeno, Thai basil sprigs and lime wedge). I took a pair of new wood chopsticks and flat bottomed spoon from the table holder and doctored the pho to my taste, paying attention to pull apart the nest of noodles lying beneath the surface of the dark broth (Northern Vietnamese style). The flavor profile displayed some depth and had been simmering in a large pot for a long time. It wasn't quite as rich as Pho 75 or Pho Ha, but it was very good and didn't require help from the Sriracha bottle rocket on the table. It was plenty spicy with the addition of the jalapeno. I was content to slurp away and patiently lift noodles out of the caldron and fold them onto the spoon before shoveling them into my mouth. The Banh Mi arrived minutes later. It was a full sized sandwich on decent French baguette, cut in half. Like the pho, it was larger than anticipated, especially for $6! It was loaded with dark roast pork, daikon radish, carrot, aioli and cilantro. I added a long squirt of Hoisin to bring up the savoriness of that combo, and took a bite. From crusty roll through crisp daikon and ultimately tender pork, it was delicious and captivating. It was a complete oral and tactile experience. One of the best sammys I've enjoyed since Ocean Grove, California, the capital of Vietnamese America. Along with China Gourmet, the excellent dim sum emporium also in that building, the presence of Pho Le Lai make St. Vincent Street a strong destination for your Asian taste buds and culinary needs."
"I really enjoyed the lunch here with my 2 cousins and 5 nephews. We ordered a variety of Vietnamese dishes, as well as sushi rolls. The beef in the crispy pan fried noodles was a bit tough, but everything else tasted great. The sushi rolls were fresh. Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend this restaurant!"
"I've made a couple trips here. Preferably, the only Vietnamese stop I'll go too in DE. Not that there are many anyways, but must appreciate one that will make me return. My usual would be the, Special Pho, that comes with all the meat assortments. Although, I feel at times that their broth is lacking something and I can't really seem to pin point it. Most places, summer rolls are in orders of two. However, this one serves four rolls per order. Which is a plus, but seemly their summer rolls are a bit disappointing and would be something I wouldn't order again. There were no herbs, chives, or a slice of cucumber. They used shredded cabbage instead of green or red leaf lettuce and I also noticed they used bean sprouts as fillings mixed in with the vermicelli noodles. This spot isn't the best or either the worst. Just somewhere in between."
"So so good. The Pho is flavorful, comforting, and worth the price with the portion sizes. I've only ever gotten takeout so I can't speak to the experience of eating in (the space inside is small), but I will definitely be getting food from here again."
