"When I went they were OUT of there items, several of which we wanted to get.It looked pricey / Rittenhouse but when the food came overall it's worth and extremely good! One time isn't sufficiently determinant but would definitely come back and try more items! Also banger music playlist"
"GOOD for a quick bite during lunch break and looks like it would be a dope spot to watch the Sixers lose in 7. Aka: Good spot to watch a sporting event with a log of brew on tap and great cocktail choices. Their wraps are what they're known for...duh. But looks like all around good food. What we snagged: -A few DownEast Ciders (Always great option to keep it sweet and ready to tackle the next half of the day) -Sweet Potato Tots (HIGHLY recommend) -Scott Louis Wrap (Eh, it was good BUT very heavy. Wasn't crazy about the amount of sauce. Drowned out the chicken and onions) -Sherri Special Wrap (Looked great. Light and a healthier option) Overall, good experience. Would 100% for back when I'm in the area for a quick bite or to catch a game."

"I scoured and scoured the food eateries at the Ritz Indepence Hall for the best quick option before seeing a movie at the Ritz Bourse and very glad I selected Rebel Taco.First off there Margarita's are delicious and Happy Hour states they are only $4!! Pour me two at the same time pretty please! Now for the tacos, I went with the cheesy beef taco which was good but dam man I am not used to getting such small tacos. Ordered up the El Gringo taco next which came in a hard shell and was much more spicy then I anticipated. I definitely will be trying more of there items and plan on possibly getting kicked out at somepoint as tequila is the one liquor I have not conquered yet!I actually did a lap around the Ritz concourse afterwards looking for a quick drink as I had fifteen minutes to spare to catch the movie and circled back to do a shot of cuervo at Rebel taco how bout that for a repeat customer cha cha cha!"
"Dropping a star because it is definitely overpriced. I acknowledge that Austin tacos are packed and small but I could eat maybe 10 of these tacos in one sitting. One taco ranges from $5-$8. However, everything else was excellent. Upon entering, we were explained the menu. I don't know the gentleman's name who welcomed us and went through the entire menu for us! We were told the flour tortilla has pork in and I truly appreciated the transparency. We were told to swap out with the vegan tortilla. Migas - egg, tortilla chips, tomato, onion, cilantro, cheese, avocadoSolid, inspired to make it at home. Bouldin Creek -vegetarian refried black beans, sweet potato, broccoli, Bandit vegan cheese, avocado Also good, the sweet potato was cooked perfectlyFish Taco- tajín seared fish filet, cole slaw, pico de gallo, avocadoFish smelled fresh, I could be wrong but it did not seem like it was cooked from frozen fish Horchata Cold Brew - I had high hopes, I am a huge fan of horchata but the execution was not there. I think the cold brew is overpowering. I wonder if instead of cold brew, if the horchata was mixed with iced coffee , it would be an improvement."
"As Unity Taqueria is only a short walk (albeit uphill), I had high hopes for its opening. Getting the restaurant open seems to take longer than anticipated (maybe COVID related). That might be the only downside I can present in this review and it probably wasn't even in their control.Seriously, Unity has a lot to offer. Non-Tuesdays, they offer the full menu with everything made to order. Further, you select the details, from the toppings down to the sauces. Their burritos are little bundles of joy. More importantly, Taco Tuesday brings a modified menu. $2 street tacos is all they offer (well, along with chips and dip). I usually get 3-5 for a solid meal on the cheap. Again, made to order and customized to your requests. Steak with their hot sauce or Chicken with the avocado sauce (well both) are my recommendations.Beyond the food, Unity has an awesome social/community mission. They put their money (and hiring) where your mouth is, so to speak. Its a nice added bonus to an otherwise awesome meal!"
"Food is solid... No complaints. Not quite the style that I'm used to but still good and fresh. Service always warm and friendly! Try the habanero salsa if you like spicy."
"I guess I would describe this as a modern and hip taco joint with a gringo twist, maybe? But not too gringo. :). We took a lunch break while visiting the Franklin Institute and it was just a handful of blocks away. I was able to order on yelp. The tacos are about $5.50 a pop with choices from al pastor, my favorite, to fish tacos. I was a little miffed on the price, but the tacos come stuffed to the brim. So if you want to be responsible, have two, and three if you are feeling frisky. Great eats."
"So good, finally got in on our third try, its pretty small inside so in the winter months when the outdoor seating isnt open its even more difficult to get a table. We had tried on a Friday evening and then on a Tuesday (but the week of Thanksgiving) and both times they werent taking any more names. I would try and come earlier in the evening or be prepared to wait/ have a backup plan if you can not get in. That being said it is worth the wait or eating at a less popular time! When we finally scored a table I was with my parents and boyfriend. We came around 530 on a Sunday and found parking easily outside, didnt have to wait at all. My mom had looked it up online so she knew to BYOB. You can order homemade mixers and they brought out glasses with salted rims which was a real table pleaser! I had the horchata and it was really one of the best I have ever had! Super creamy, and cool, with that touch of cinnamon. The place is decorated very nicely, modern trendy, but still felt like the right vibe for the place. I had heard amazing things about the birria tacos so I ordered them for all of us to share and they were a real hit at the table, super tender and gooey cheese coming out! My dad liked them so much he got another order as his meal and my mom loved the beef to much she tried the birria cemita. They make the cemita rolls in house so the sandwiches' are really fresh and kind of above the level of your standard sandwich. I got the pollo cemita and the chicken was thin and crispy and it had really good chipotle peppers right on the sandwich. My boyfriend got the fish tacos, which he really enjoyed, said they were fresh and flavorful. We shared the pappas and they had tajin on them and were super fresh and crispy, wishing I had a few for lunch right now :)In comparison to other places with such hype its a really great deal pricewise! They are on the delivery apps so since I live in south philly I think I will try to get delivery one of these weekends when its still cold and dreary out!"
"This is a solid Buena Onda located in St. David's near the Radnor Financial Center and the Radnor Hotel. I'm thrilled that we have a Buena Onda in the burbs (thanks, Chef Garces!). Like its sister restaurant at 19th and Callowhill, this Buena Onda serves up great tacos, Buena bowls, guac, plaintains, street corn, and churros. On a weekday, if you bring fourteen of your closest friends, you can get a HH discount and a comp pitcher of margarita. The location is small, so I have no idea how they host that many people, but good for them!"

tl;dr with borderline bizarre ingredient choices and sky-high prices, the ambitious lineup of global fusion tacos falls flatFrom authentic to adventurous, food truck to fancy, Philly's taco game is no slouch. In a neighborhood already saturated with Mexican eats, Revolution Taco's Rittenhouse niche is in its innovative, globally inspired array of taco combinations. The long, narrow space is modern and thoughtful. You enter, greeted by a vibrant taco-themed mural. Black ceilings, whitewashed walls, and sleek muted furnishings allow the intentional splashes of color to pop. The tables are pushed against both walls, clearing a path to the checkout counter in the back. The menu is displayed on screens, which switch between images at a dizzying pace. A wall toward the back showcases dozens of chili varieties from across the world. My first visit to Revolution Taco was toward the beginning of the pandemic, back when takeout was a luxury affair. My memory of the meal was soggy tortillas and lukewarm fillings, but the flavors were inspired enough that I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Nearly 2 years later, the day finally arrived that I give Revolution another go.A friend and I visited recently for early weekday dinner and arrived at an empty restaurant. After a short deliberation, we decided to split duos of 3 varieties: the BBQ Spiced Cauliflower, the Grilled Salmon, and the limited-edition Ancho Chili Coffee-Braised Short Rib. Oddly, a patron who ordered behind us was sinking his teeth into his tacos well before we had our plates. But a few minutes later, I was hoisting 2 stainless steel trays back to our table.First, we sampled all 3 salsas: roja, smoked pepper, and verde. The former 2 had intense yet classic flavors, each with a hint of spice. In contrast, the salsa verde was overwhelmed by lime. Turning our attention to the eats at hand, each moderately large taco was wrapped with two limp, cold corn tortillas and supported by sturdy taco rack. The smoky cauliflower tacos, topped with tomato slaw and crispy tortilla strips, were the highlight of our meal. While flavorful, the cauliflower nonetheless remained a nice vessel to complement the salsas. The salmon tacos packed an initial pleasant punch due to the pineapple salsa and red pepper crema, but the aftertaste of salmon was unsettlingly jarring. A white fish or shrimp would have been a much more palatable pescatarian-friendly alternative. Finally the short rib tacos, slathered in garlic aioli and sprinkled with escabeche (pickled cabbage and radish), had a distinct and exciting essence of coffee, but suffered from poor execution. The ingredients were overly wet, my small portion of meat was beyond fatty, and the bold flavors conflicted. The 10% weekday student discount only slightly eased the sting of our expensive bill: $32 after tax and tip. And gone are the days of mix-and-match. You need to commit to 2 of any single menu offering (up to $15 for some varieties!) just to try a bite of a potentially underwhelming taco combination. While not actively bad, Revolution Taco was disappointing, and I don't anticipate giving them the benefit of the doubt another time around.

Wrap Shack just delivers time and time again. We've been there for multiple dinners now, and also gotten takeout, and have never been disappointed. Wraps are good, sandwiches are good, appetizers are good, everything. Honestly nothing earth-shattering but just rock solid bar food every time!

Not many places are open in The Bourse but thankfully Rebel Taco is! The storefront is welcoming. Stools are available at the counter and plenty of seating is available in the Bourse food court. The staff were helpful in answering our questions even giving us samples of the horchata and hibiscus tea. Both were delicious! The barbacoa taco were so good! The meat was flavorful and tender. The tortillas were also good. The shrimp tacos were good. Shrimp were fried and a little small. Taco had a lot of flavor. Revel was an inexpensive, delicious lunch Two of ate for less than $25 including tacos and horchata

Originally went here slightly after it opened and got the gringo tacos. They were basic, no frills and quite bland. The gringo taco was a special $2 for literally a meat and tortilla with some cilantro and onions. This experience didn't hold weight to an el limon visit.Since my first experience I went back and getting the regular tacos with whatever toppings I wanted was 100% better! There's literally over a dozen toppings to choose from. These aren't authentic Mexican but more Tex mex. Much better experience customizing What I wanted my second time around. This place isn't authentic but is good if you are looking for the tex mex vibe for tacos!

Quick happy hour at Buena Onda. I'm obsessed with the order & pay first. Gets you in and out quick! I kid you not, my food came out about 1 min after I ordering, and the drinks maybe 3 mins later. I mean the spot wasn't packed, but still! I went with the pork Al pastor, the red chili short rib, and the $1 happy hour chips and salsa. Drinks-- half off margs: prickly pear and mango! It's giving very much inauthentic, but tasty nonetheless.

Absolutely delicious food here in a cozy setting. The inside area is a little cramped and they have outdoor seating too. They are usually very busy as the food is great. Had birria cemita and it was large and tasty. Good consome as well. Horchata tasty as usual. Thanks

"So usually I'm here only either at night time or on weekdays, but not weekends during brunch time. Finally I made it and specifically for Steak and eggs skillet, because they only served it on weekend brunch menus. Oh my, it did not disappoint me at all. It was delicious! Everything from the steak to the eggs were cooked perfectly! This one is a must order! SET is an Asian fusion restaurant. They make the best finger food, with an Asian twist to it, can't go wrong with anything you ordered here. From their waffle fries, tater tots, slider, wings, etc., Everything is amazing! Staffs are friendly and I love their bartenders, they're super nice and make the best cocktails. Overall excellent services and cool vibe at nighttime. Highly recommended if you looking for some yummy bar food and drinks. This is the place!"
"Ortlieb's is a great neighborhood bar. They have events and activities like comedy, karaoke, and pop-up food events. The draft selection is good, with a local focus. The place has character. It has a photo booth. It has Taco Tuesday specials. There's jazz on Mondays, I think. There's karaoke other nights. Staff are welcoming. I feel like that's all you need to know. If you're in the area, hit up Ortlieb's for a good night out."
"Shout out to Rittenhouse Deli, which I tried due to a recommendation from here. Wings were awesome, Korean spicy pork tacos amazing, mandoos were great. Chap chae was standard. One child loved the guacamole so much that this is all he ate for lunch."
"I always kick myself for forgetting this reliable truck is so close to me. The sandia agua fresca is divine in this hot weather. Today I picked up a solid carnitas quesadilla. It was ready quickly, though you can always call ahead. Need to grab a torta next."
"Great spot for Taco Tuesday because they have $3 per chicken and al pastor tacos. Each taco has one small soft tortilla with good amount of fresh al pastor meat. The guacamole portion wasn't big and wasn't really fresh either because I saw some brown parts. Good location at the corner with plenty parking spots underneath I 95.Before I left I asked the meaning of Tonalli because I couldn't find a translation with my Spanishdict app. I was told that it means sunshine in an old Mexican dialect."
"Hi-Lo is wonderful and solidly in my lunch rotation at this point. The tacos are great, and two make for a solid lunch imho which cannot be said of many taco places. I'd love to make it here for happy hour, but lunch is my main track and so far, we're able to get a table here without fuss but it's always active (a good sign). The menu changes, which I like, and keeps things interesting."
"This place is amazing. They are open late and even have a spot if you just want to pick up tacos after a long day of whatever! The service was quick even though we went really late at night. The Al pastor was to die for. I really liked how it was marinaded and tasted very juicy. The tacos had a kick to it. I wasn't expecting how the quesadillas just looked like a big burrito. I am unsure if this is the traditional way of making quesadillas but I wasn't that impressed by them."
"I had dinner recently right near this colorful magical place, and wish id come here instead My friends and I saw through the window that they had churros, and we decided to go get them for dessert. We weren't aware that they were filled, and I found out they're Bavarian cream filled and other times could be strawberry among a few others. Oh my gosh, they were so beyond good and came with a small container of chocolate dipping sauce. They were so good I ordered more, and they actually held up come morning. This place is a maximalist's dream. There's cool art everywhere, a local artist did it all, and even the bathroom is an experience and HUGE. They have some vegan options, and I need to get actual food there asap. If this place had existed when I lived in Philly I would've been there a LOT, and didn't ever live close to it. Would've been worth it and these days is worth the trip to South Philly. Go support this magical fun delicious place"
"Huge portions, great meal. You know it's good when they have double corn tortillas. Green and red salsas are both great and pack a slow heat. We liked the pastor and carne asada the most. Only downside is the order took a while - they told us 20 mins (it might have been a bit faster).Deep fried pork was yummy, not super memorable, and the lengua was delicious and super tender.Horchata was also solid, $6 for a giant takeout soup container worth lol"
"Honestly, I'm tempted to give El Limon 5*. You get 2 free margaritas with your meal! Have you ever heard of such a thing?! I have not. And the food was pretty doggone good. And the people working there were friendly. And the place was clean. And the service was fast. And my tacos were on point. And the girlfriend really raved about her dish. And the price wasn't bad at all.You know what? I changed my mind. El Limon gets 5*. Is it a restaurant worthy of a Michelin star? Nooooo.... it is actually much better than that. Food that hits you right where you want to be hit for a price you don't mind paying. Keep up the good work!"
"My coworker and I were excited to hear about Don Barriga opening near our work as our Mexican choices are rather slim in the area. We heard some good things about the food and decided to give it a try for lunch today. We got there just before 12pm and that was good because once we were seated in our booth, the relatively small restaurant filled up quickly. The four or five booths and the 4-top tables were filled and then people were constantly coming in to pick up their to-go orders. Don Barriga Mexican Grill has a very extensive menu and they have a separate menu (which is also online) for breakfast options although they don't open until 10am. All the choices looked good. My friend went with a chicken quesadilla and I had the Don Barriga Fajitas which comes with chicken, steak, and shrimp. I also got a side guacamole.Once seated, we were served chips with green and red sauces. The red was spicy! The green not as much. A glass bottle of cold water was also served which was needed for that red sauce. We needed a second bottle! The triangle chips were crunchy, not stale or over-salted, and we ate too many before our lunch came.My fajitas came out steaming hot on the skillet and had a lot of flavor and seasoning. They came with a small side of Mexican rice, four slices of avocado, and four flour tortillas. There was more than an abundance of food to fill up the tortillas. Even asking for a to-go container, the skillet was still too hot to the touch to handle and I had to create a potholder of napkins to pick it up to put in the container. The guacamole was excellent. Rice was nothing special. My friend liked her super-sized quesadilla but forgot to ask for it without sour cream which there was a lot of in and on it. It had a lot of chicken and lettuce and cheese. Cheese was the only topping my fajitas did not come with that I would have liked. My friend ate half and I took the other half home. She enjoyed it but was not ecstatic about her food. I really liked mine.Overall, very pleased with Don Barriga Mexican Grill. Our server was pleasant and helpful. If we were in the mood for Mexican again, this is a great choice. It is a little on the expensive side.$22 for the fajitas, $14 for the Quesadilla, $7 for the side of guacamole. $46.44 not including tip for lunch today. We hope Don Barriga Mexican Grill has a nice log life on Chestnut Street. Good Luck!"
"Get the curry goat. I don't care if you don't like goat or don't like curry, just get the curry goat. It's phenomenal! The brown stew chicken is also absolutely delicious. The sides tasted very complimentary and I absolutely loved my kale and collard greens, they were made perfectly. My husband wasn't keen on his Mac and cheese but I thought it was good. Stars are only reduced due to the prices, which are kind of astronomical, but the food itself is superb. Will be ordering again."
"Great Mexican restaurant. We ate in and enjoyed our horchata and many flavors of Jarritos. Highlights were the quesabirria and the Al pastor tacos. BIG (delicious) flan - ran out of tres leches so we will be sure to come back earlier in the weekend next time for that. Young man taking orders was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend!"
