"Honey lavender latte - fantastic. The food was so good! Expect large. portions & it's cash only but they have an atm out front. Def will be a regular spot for me when in the city."
"I love this bar! Our first visit was during Happy Hour which is actually Happy Hours as it's from 1600-1800. Thanks Village, We appreciate your generosity! We ordered an Old Fashion (me) and Rose Gold(husband) Cocktail with HH Deviled Eggs, Popcorn Shrimp and Chicken Sliders. All of the above had steep discounts during this time slot. Still hungry we ordered the Village Burger which was delicious and juicy. Our last visit was Wednesday after 1800 so no discounts, of course, but we were excited to try some more cocktails. This time I had a Brown Derby (two if I'm being honest) and a Manhattan(husband). Once again, they were prepared skillfully. We ordered the Cobb Salad and Popcorn Shrimp for dinner and we left two happy campers. It's a pub with good vibes and very knowledgeable bartenders.5 luxardo Cherries!"

"I somehow accidentally placed this review under the University City location. We dined at the Wayne location. We had intended to have brunch at White Dog Cafe Sunday 9.17.23 to celebrate a special occasion after visiting Chanticleer Gardens. I was concerned about that choice reading some of these reviews. However, we had a fantastic brunch. Service was well paced and attentive via our server Caroline. Ambiance was cozy. We had no complaints. We had some leftovers and ordered Mac and Cheese to go so dinner was covered as well.*Honey Cornbread, Salted Honey Butter, Strawberry Jam*Yellowfin Tuna Tartare - Avocado, Sriracha, Sesame Soy Emulsion,Micro Cilantro*Eggs Benedict - Canadian Bacon, English Muffin, Hollandaise, Yukon Potato Home Fries*Felafel Burger - Feta Cheese, Green Goddess Dressing,Sprouts, Red Onion, Tomato, Mixed Greens (This was DELICIOUS!)*Persian Cucumber Salad*Mac And Cheese - To Go*A Lil Vino :)"
"Words cannot explain how much I'd loved the food here and the ambiance and the service. Just everything! Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and some well-deserved promotions at work and we couldn't have chosen a better place on a lovely Saturday brunch-filled morning. .We arrived and we're escorted to the second floor which opened up to a cozy but at the same time tall ceiling Place filled with art and random exotic plants and happy customers eating delicious food. We ordered a few appetizers which were pretty delicious, but the star of the show for me was their spend on a Nashville hot open face chicken sandwich. It was by far the most delicious chicken sandwich I'd eaten in years. The combination of a thick breaded and buttery crust holding very moist chicken was just incredible. I honestly can't even remember what my side dish was or would it taste like even with pictures because that's how focused I was on the chicken sandwich lol My drink was pretty good but I really enjoyed my wife's drink the most because it had hints of elderflower and some really bitter liquor. That was a great balance. I had their take on carrot cake for dessert which was okay.. It wasn't terrible at all, but I wish the portions were a little bigger. Overall, I cannot wait to spend another Saturday or Sunday brunch at the Love."
"Amazing fried chicken sandwiches on what had to be homemade bread. The chicken had a perfect crunchy breading that was similar to schnitzel. We were in love. Their homemade dressing was finger licking yummy. The other item we'd say not to skip is their kale Caesar salad. Honestly, one of the best kale Caesar's I've ever had. Service and ambiance are delightful. It has a cool modern cafe vibe which made it the perfect elevated sandwich spot for us. Would absolutely come back!"
"Breakfast was ... fine. To be fair I didn't have French toast, which seems to be their calling card, or a mimosa ... music was really loud for 9am on a Sunday, service was ok."
"Fabulous food in a fabulous, and unique, setting aboard an anchored ship. We all had fish--bronzino, salmon, and Red Snapper. All were fine, but the snapper was out of this world."
"Beautiful outdoor area with heat lamps and spacious interior. Happy hour food is only at the bar while you can get happy hour drinks at the table. They do half off the cocktail of the week for happy hour which is a steal! Great place for a night out."
"We were looking for a great outdoor spot to enjoy some light food, salads and sandwiches, nothing too fussy. We found Harper's Garden nearby that fit the bill perfectly. We walked up without reservations, but were offered a table for an hour, which we gladly accepted. It was very busy at lunch with what looked like local business people, but cleared out by 2pm when we headed out.The atmosphere at this restaurant is great, very casual and cute environment. Perfectly shaded outdoor pergola with a shade that allowed a lot of filtered light through. Very cute planters as well. The service was great - attentive but not hovering. My lemonade came in a dirty glass, but it was quickly switched out. Food came out quickly once we ordered. We ordered the pork sandwich, the turkey sandwich, the burger, 2 caesar salads, corn bread, and fries all around. The fries were perfectly cooked and salted. The pork sandwich was a bit too much bread, but the filling was fantastic. Everyone was very happy with their food!Great lunch time spot."
"I LOVEEEEEEED this place! I went there last month and today I decided to leave a review because the food is sooo yummmmmy! So delicious ! It's super chill and I also enjoyed the service! Yummm will be back soon!"
"Full of flavor!I was in town on business travel during restaurant week so I decided to meet a friend for dinner at Rex at the Royal for dinner. We both went with the restaurant week menu but got different things. I went with the tempura vegetables, chicken with kale & street corn fish, and the key lime pie. My friend got the Caesar salad, shrimp & grits, and bread pudding. We both loved our food and also loved each other's meals. If I visit Philly again, I'd definitely visit Rex on the Royal again!"
"What used to be at the forefront of the Old City revival is now a classic and yet still amazingly relevant in today's constantly evolving restaurant scene. Took the kiddos for Saturday brunch last week and they loved it. The ambience is classy but casually elegant. My kids were definitely the youngest there. However, on the other side of us were a pair of seniors and then a family with teenagers. The bar was hopping with couples noshing & drinking. Service was impeccable except for the slightly snotty hostess. I think she saw me coming with a 9 & 11 year old and jumped to conclusions about our "suitability" if that makes sense. At any rate, the children behaved beautifully, the food was top notch. The wine was pricey but exquisite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal."

In Philly Green Eggs Cafe for brunch is a must do. They are cash only but have an ATM. Their staff is very friendly and seating gets full so be prepared to wait even on a weekday. Our wait was short but there was a long line waiting when we left on a Monday morning, so be prepared to wait a while especially on weekends. The ambiance is very nice in a historic building yet simple. The Lavender and Oreo Lattes were the best we ever had and the Spicy Margaret 21+ drink I got was amazing too. But the best thing here is the unbeatable food in which my wife and I shared the French Toast Board (a smaller of four of their famous French toasts, an Apple Pie French Toast, and the Short Rib and Tinga Egg Rolls. A final cute touch was when they put the receipt in an empty coffee mug and we put our cash in there.

I made a reservation here for a party of four people. We ordered a bunch of appetizers : tater tots , deviled eggs and the charcuterie board. The tots were so soft on the inside and almost airy like. 10/10 in my book. I'm still thinking about them. However I wish the charcuterie board had more than three pieces of salami on it and perhaps crackers as well. For entrees we ordered the steak frites which were delicious. The fries were perfection and the steak was cooked medium rare just like how I asked. I definitely want to try the burger next time. All in all I really liked Village Whiskey

What a beautiful Stephen Starr restaurant located right in Rittenhouse. While everyone loves Parc on Rittenhouse Square, this place does offer a similarly interesting menu. The place was very busy for a Monday afternoon when we arrived. Slowly around 2pm the lunch rush left and we were left to a pretty desolate restaurant. The waiter was very attentive the whole time and didn't rush us out.I ordered the Nashville hot chicken (Take Me Away) and man it was so delicious. I don't even want to think about the amount of calories in this dish but it was perfectly crispy and was coated with spice (they didn't lie about the heat). The chicken came on a nicely toasted bread with some pickles on the side. I could only eat half the dish in one sitting. They really packed two big pieces of chicken. The salad I ordered as a side was also super fresh and well done. It was a cucumber and feta salad that came with pickled onions (always a highlight on a dish) and this amazing vinaigrette you just have to try.

Stopped by for brunch. Chicories salad was good, though heavily dressed so maybe ask them to go lightly. Pizzas are fab- loved the red sauce on the jersey tomato. The burrata and green tomato was tasty, too, with a generous amount of toppings, though I didn't notice any lemon verbena. Nice choice with friends who like to share.

I stopped in on a Thursday for brunch. Overall, I liked the food and drinks as did my friend. They were a little short staffed, so I'd have to go back to give a true assessment on the service. It was a little chilly in the dinning room but the bar area is warmer. I ordered the vegan crème brûlée French toast. Tasty but on drier side. I would had asked for more syrup but it was too busy to get anyone. :(

Came for coffee and dessert after a wonderful day in the city. We were seated by the window and had a wonderful server named Patti. ((I cannot sing her praises enough for the care & the stellar hospitality that she gave us. We ordered a hot apple cake dessert with a scoop of ice cream and two coffees. how happy we felt! Absolutely, fresh and delicious, and the warmth of the desert really felt so soothing after chilly day at the Christmas markets in Philadelphia. It's an absolutely wonderful place to come with friends ... and even a special date. Everytime I board this ship I have the time of my life.If I had my ukelele... I would play a lil' song about the delightful Patty and her care, the dreamy venue on the river with lovely food.

Made it here for breakfast and they were very busy with a bit of a wait. However, the kitchen puts out amazing food very quickly so this should not be a worry to have. Interior is very welcoming and there is also a back patio when the weather is nicer. Drink and food selection was good, and there are lots of comfort food style breakfasts. Chilaquiles we're quite tasty and well put together. Very good place to stop in. Thanks

"My go-to whether I stay at the hotel attached or not. THe food is great, you can work from the tables or counter with ease and the coffee is unmatched."
"(to the tune of "Build a B*tch" by Bella Poarch)If I had to build a brunch (a brunch)And I could pick and chooseI'd have lots of options for foodsand a variety of brunch boozeIf I was building brunch (some brunch)I'm make my way to Kraftwork soonand if you need brunch, this is the spot for you (yeah)Beer and burgers, this is the spotBut I heard they had some brunchSaw the menu, looking goodWent around a weekend lunchGot some chicken and some wafflesHuevos Rancheros, bacon (natch)And the potatoes were so crispyalmost ordered a second batchThe prices are on pointwith plates as large as my big headBloody Mary garnished with grilled cheese -I am DEAD.It's been a minute since I've visited Kraftwork (as I'm expecting a baby and haven't been going to bars too much) but I didn't realize they now offer brunch! Naturally, I had to try it (as it's a quick walk) and was so pleased with the experience. Our server was the friendliest, and the food came out fast but hot/fresh. The Bloody Mary was a real hit with my husband, and I was OBSESSED with my chicken and waffles - nearly licked the plate. We found out they have takeout beer, too - looking forward to taking advantage of that when I'm drinking again!"
"I had my first experience at Winnie's over the weekend and while I think the 3.5 star overall rating is pretty accurate, I needed to bump up to a 4 star thanks to the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Every person we encountered was so kind and welcoming, which goes a long way for me - especially when I have a dog in tow. That's the other amazing part of Winnie's: they go beyond dog friendliness on their patio and even took a photo of Miss. Fred for the dog wall! Winnie's is an amazing vibe for post-hike outdoor lunch or brunch. We were sitting outside on a relatively cool day and had no issue snagging a table at 10am on a Saturday. That being said, my veggie frittata and my boyfriend's lox plate were not great. The lox plate only comes with one bagel option (pumpernickel) and the veggie frittata is just unremarkable. I think I want to try more of their *delectable* options when I return in the future, like eggs benny and the sandwiches - both of which look really good.My coffee? Fantastic and not your standard diner fare. The complimentary cornbread? Sweet, cakey, and just how I like it. Vibes? So good. I look forward to my next trip to Winnie's and appreciate this amazing team for making our weekend morning out with a dog such a success!"
"I was hesitant to eat at Lacroix after reading some of the restaurant's recent reviews, but after a lovely dining experience, I am here to say that those people are wrong. We arrived on a Thursday night to a mostly empty restaurant.Service started out very slow despite there only being a few patrons. We were there for over 30 minutes before getting any bread, and I was starting to get hangry. After we placed our orders with our server, the service picked up. My husband and I decided to go for the four course pre fixe menu @ $135/person. It made sense since it was the better deal and was actually very reasonably priced. After eating some of the bread, I felt much better. The brioche bread was presented in the form of a cube. It could have been softer and more buttery on the inside, but it was still good. For our first courses, my husband and I both had the salad. Each chicory leaf was carefully stacked, with slices of celery root and citrus layered between the leaves to achieve the perfect bite with the soft and creamy cheese on the bottom. For our second courses, my husband had the langoustine (for an additional $10), while I had the pike dish. The quenelles of pike were essentially delicate fish cakes, served with a dark and savory sauce that was divine. The langoustine was also very good. I highly recommend the two.For our third courses, I had the risotto, and my husband had the veal sweet breads. The risotto was not actually risotto, but potatoes shaped to look like risotto. The flavors were good, and the serving of caviar was generous, but the dish would have eaten better if it was real risotto. My husband's veal sweet breads were super tender and flavorful. And for our final courses, my husband had the quail, and I had the venison. My venison was cooked to a nice medium rare. My husband and I both enjoyed our plates.Even though we were super full, my husband and I still made room for dessert, a millefeuille served with cotton candy on top. A playful twist on a classic dessert. Before we left, our server brought us complimentary chocolate truffles. These chocolate truffles were presented in a cloche and were shaped like black truffles, except that they were chocolate and had raspberry ganache inside. I have to say I am extremely blown away by Lacroix. The execution of the food at Lacroix is world-class. The menu makes sense, and the prices are comparable to places like Friday Saturday Sunday and Her Place Supper Club. Lacroix eats like a legit 2-star Michelin restaurant. We will gladly come back again and again."
"Friday night 8pm and ITS PACKED. It's seat yourself for the bar area, which is huge. Took forever for service to come, so we went up to the bartenders to order directly. The crab dip was so salty that it was pretty much not edible. The bread that comes with it was very good! Would recommend the burger - thin fries and perfectly cooked burger. It's a great location to come as a small group and would recommend if you want a good ambiance."
"We've been to Varga a few times to grab drinks, but this time we decided to order from their ever-rotating food menu. Food is a craft here, and everything they do, they do it well. The wall is decorated with pretty pin-up girls, one in particular that I really like. ;)Needless to say, they have a great craft beer menu that even features a lot of local brewers (we decided which brewery we'd like to visit next after our drinks this evening!) We ordered a Hefeweizen and tropical IPA that were both so good, we ordered them twice and switched beers! There is a great variety of beers on the menu too, so there's certainly something for everyone.I ordered the mac and cheese, because once I saw their instagram post with the photo, I knew I had to come in just to try it. It was so tasty, in that little cast iron pan! The portion size doesn't look that big, but it was actually just the perfect amount. My fiancé really enjoyed the popcorn chicken as well. Service is always just right too. We'll be back again for sure."
"I've never actually dined in here so this review is based solely on their takeout and delivery game, which is top notch! They have a great crowd pleasing menu that ranges from soups and smoothies to chicken parm and all day breakfast options. One of those great spots when you're not totally sure what you're in the mood for...you can basically let their menu kind of decide for you. I've tried their tuna / chicken salad wraps and also their Moroccan salmon salad, all of which have been excellent. Wraps come with a tasty caesar salad and are an absolute go-to. The team members I've encountered here have always been incredibly friendly. If I lived a bit closer to either location I would be here all the time, but for now I really enjoy grabbing lunch or dinner while in the neighborhood, and would absolutely recommend a stop in to anyone."
"Delicious food. Service was a little slow but thats bc the places was packed to the gills"
"Chickie's and Pete's in South Philly is a winner! The service is top-notch, and there's plenty of space for your whole crew. It's the go-to spot for pregame or postgame vibes in the area. The seafood is delicious, and let's talk about those crinkle-cut fries - perfectly crispy every time. Shrimp tacos are absolutely delicious with a slight touch of heat from the jalapeños. This place nails it for a good time and tasty eats. Definitely, a must-try!"
"XIX! Booked a resy for Sunday brunch to celebrate my mom's birthday, and it was amazing! While the food was delicious and the view was chefs kiss, it was really the service that made our meal so special. From our reservation confirmation call to the happy birthday mini cupcakes, our host Chris was so thoughtful. We took his recommendations and ordered the eggs benedict, strawberry cheesecake french toast along with the egg breakfast. We ateeeee. Lol We also ordered the mimosa carafe, which easily had 6 servings. Extra points for Chris giving us the drop on the best spots for lighting so we could take pictures. There were so many good photo ops we couldn't choose just one. Noting: Our reservation was for noon, and the place was superrr chill."
"Great little place to stop and get a latte and some breakfast or lunch. Nice clean bathroom friendly service very very clean and Right on the park"
"Came here after visiting the Fireman's Museum in Old City and let me tell you if I had any decision power to veto coming to this place ahead of time I would invoke it.I studied the menu intensely trying to find an item that I would enjoy for lunch that would not cost an arm and a leg while also filling me up (sandwiches were out of the question as I didn't want a very bready item and their sandwiches look like they're mostly bread). My choices were basically soup or an entree priced over twenty dollars. After sucking it up and ordering a $27.95 crab cake entree I waited for the meal.We had a very large group I want to say over twenty. The server brought out the tiniest corn muffins I have ever seen complimentary which was appreciated, they were edible but many were left over as one was sufficient. On to the crab cakes, these were good, I kinda wish they didn't pour the sauce over the crab cakes as some patrons may want to eat their crab cakes plain but so far so good. Now here is the hiccup, it comes with southern spiced vegetable cous cous with garlic aioli sauce, imo it is very hard to flavor cous cous, there was ample cous cous but it was very plain tasting. The amount of vegetables plated was small however I see what they are trying to accomplish (spread veggies throughout the cous cous versus have a side of vegetables that would make the cost per meal produced more money perhaps as this would mean the addition of an extra side item accompanying the meal). I feel that Jack's Firehouse can reinvent their menu if they want and offer other options (for starters how bout a BBQ share platter that isn't $42.95), let's say a sample BBQ platter for one? Pretty sure this would bring in more clientele. The server was very good, I will give the establishment credit where credit is due. He brought out small baked pecan chocolate cookies complimentary at the end of the meal and these were warm and freaking delicious.Jack's Firehouse is directly across the street from the Eastern State Penitentiary which makes it prime real estate if you are visiting the Fairmount area. If you like the menu, and don't mind the price points then by all means go for it : )As always people SYOY!!!"
"A Breakfast HavenNestled in the heart of West Chester, this charming breakfast spot, should be known for its delightful exquisite assortment of eggs Benedict's. It has quickly become a personal favorite. From the moment you step in, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon captivates your senses, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu boasts a tantalizing array of options, but the stars of the show are undoubtedly the French toast bites and eggs benedict. The French toast bites, the perfect breakfast appetizer, had a perfect balance of golden crispness on the outside and pillowy softness within, arrives adorned with a generous dusting of powdered sugar, fresh cut strawberries, blueberries, and a side of luscious cinnamon glaze syrup. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, a comforting embrace for the taste buds.As for the eggs benedict, they are nothing short of a masterpiece. The poached eggs, when pierced, reveal a velvety yolk that cascades over the perfectly seared thick cut scrapple and English muffin, all elegantly draped in a velvety blanket of sausage gravy. The marriage of textures and flavors is a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. The atmosphere is equally enchanting, with sunlight streaming through the windows, casting a warm glow over the cozy, rustic decor. The attentive staff and welcoming Roots team adds to the welcoming ambiance, ensuring that every visit feels like a cherished indulgence.Whether you're craving a sweet, syrup-drenched delight or a savory, indulgent classic, this breakfast spot is a haven for all breakfast enthusiasts. Each visit is a reminder of the beauty found in simplicity, executed with unparalleled finesse."
"One of the finest culinary experiences in South Philadelphia and possibily all of Philadelphia but is it worth it?I changed my mind approximately four times on choosing a restaurant to go to for a big birthday number for myself however I decided upon Laurel as this birthday was a milestone and I had never had a wine pairing dinner before this occasion which Laurel offered.First of six courses started with a magical presentation of two large oysters over gorgeous rock pebbles that had water poured into them by our server to elicit a smoke rise from the small bowl. Presentation A++. Oysters were bathed in Honey and Camomile on the left side of the oyster. This was a great way to start the experience but I feel obligated to mention when you break down the cost you just ate a $30.00 oyster LOL. Ahhh...Talk about splurging for a birthday.I enjoyed all the wine pairings except the last pairing for dessert. Only criticism I have concerning the wine pairing is I hear most venue's refill pretty quickly once you finish the glass. One of the servers refilled my glass once. Now to be fair the food is coming out very fast at this restaurant, entree after entree very quickly, so it is hard to really time to refill a patron's glass before the next entree/wine pairing, but for $115 for premium wine pairing I think that is worth a mention. You can choose the $85 wine pairing or the $115 premium wine pairing, in my opinion if you are electing to go to a restaurant of this stature opt for the premium and trust the wine sommelier that they task with this service. To summarize, romantic atmosphere creating an intimate dining experience with delicious high end food accompanied with elegant service. Only you can decide if you prefer a more traditional dining experience that is more laid back or a six course set menu prepared by some of the finest culinary masters. As always people SYOY!!!"
"My new favorite Irish Restaurant. Irish restaurants to me have such a warm, friendly, bonded feel to them. It as if we all step outside from the world's troubles and we are all here to drink, eat, and perhaps dance to an Irish jig, I am thinking the Devil's Dance Floor or a similar rowdy fun bar song.Five in the afternoon my girlfriend and I arrived at The Plough & The Stars after participating in a scavenger hunt at and around the Olde City area. We worked up quite an appetite, luckily my gf explained to me they start you off with some of the finest warm Irish Soda Bread to start your meal. The bread was some of the finest I have had in my life in regard to Irish Soda Bread and I took it down in record speed. They also had an option of brown bread that was a bit sweet and much different from the comfort of Irish Soda Bread. We both ordered the Guinness Casserole which consisted of meat that was so moist and delicious you truly did not need a knife to cut through the meat. The Chef in all serious must have a talent for presentation on all their mash potatoes as this entree came out very artisan looking for the portion of mash potatoes. I saw a presentation of the potatoes for the pork ribeye platter, and they had stellar black grill marks on the top of the mashed potatoes. Bravo making a relatively simple side beautifully presented, if anyone was going to do it I guess it would be the Irish : )I started with a 20oz of Harp on draft which our server described as the bud light of Irish Beers. He was not wrong, but it is a very easily drinkable beer. After downing about half of it I asked to sample the Smithwick's Irish Ale. This was the winner of the day and I immediately moved to a 20oz of Smithwick's. The only spot I could possibly ding the restaurant on is I ordered a piece of the flourless chocolate cake to go and when seeing the receipt well it came in at just shy of ten dollars for a piece of cake. I just tried it this morning as I am writing this review and it is slightly bittersweet chocolate that will certainly cleanse your palate after a meal, but I would opt not to get next time.Really enjoyed our stop in here and would highly recommend you check it out if you are in the city and looking for some solid Irish Food.As always people SYOY!!!"
"First review of the month and we're starting off with a neighborhood favorite that I'm trying for the first time after all these years! I've been here for happy hour with friends but I've never actually had dinner here. My wife and I had a child free night and decided to stay local and finally try Louie Louie. We immediately started off with the brioche bread which I assumed would be good but not spectacular as it was. Brad was very soft and the marinated heirloom tomatoes with the truffle butter paired so well. I literally could have filled up on that bread. Our server who was amazing, suggested a nice house wine to pair with the bread and our food and he was on point with his selection. I ordered braised short rib which was tender as it could possibly get in so flavorful. The only thing I wished there was less of was roasted carrots and potatoes but I am not complaining at all. I can't even remember the name of a dessert, but it was basically like a cheesecake with a chard orange slice nestled in between it. That was simply amazing. It was super loud there but it was a busy Saturday night and the ambiance was alive and electric. I can't wait to come here for happy hour again and try some happy hour bites. My only tip is to come early because parking is crazy!! Really crazy! lol"
"I know, everyone says they have the best pancakes, but this place really does have the best pancakes I have ever tasted in my entire entire life, and I don't even fuck with pancakes. My friend and I walked over here one tired morning after boxing class, to quickly grab a bite. We sat outside and service was prompt. Our server was friendly and helpful. The ambience is a little bit more casual than dressed up. If you like good food, you'll like it here."
"Was here in Philly for PaxUnplugged. I love the show Always Sunny in Philidelphia and just got done watching Wrexham so I wanted to go to Mac's Tavern- Food was just okay but enjoyed the beer selection and had a great bartender."
"the patty melt & salt/pepper fries with a whole pickle are unmatched ! service is always quick. the beer select on draft is interesting and a wide variety. cute divey bar down the block when you need it."
"Friendly staff offering good service. Sat outside on the Piccini benches in the street. Felt a little strange when the buses would drive by and you could just reach out and touch them. Food was good. My crispy chicken sandwich that I added bacon to was very good. Nice flavor combination and the thick well done bacon just made it better. Everyone else also reported enjoying their meals. The burgers came out cooked as requested. The octopus was tasty. The fries could have been a bit more cooked. Overall a nice place to have lunch and drinks in the city."
"Bank & Bourbon offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, with an extensive drink list.We came here as a large group for a later dinner, and we ordered the following starters:+Charred Romain Caesar Salad - with romesco, sourdough croutons, and a lemon-caesar dressing+Grilled Octopus - with shishitos, tomato confit, and a red onion vinaigrette+Seafood Chowder - with lump crab, creme fraiche, and herbs - this was stated as having a bit of a kick, so if you're not into spicy, avoid! For shareable sides, we had:+the Parmesan Rosemary Fries - the parm could have been layered and sprinkled throughout+Chive-Roasted Local Mushrooms - I love mushrooms, and this was my favorite for the night; could have eaten multiple servings of these!+Roasted Baby Carrots - with tarragon-honey butter; the carrots were not really 'baby'-sized, but they could have been roasted more; most of them were pretty raw+Smashed Fingerlings - served with herb butter; some of these were overbaked and more on the dryer side, and the skins were toughFor the entree, I had the Sixty-South Salmon - this came with a sambal-maple glaze, sweet potato succotash, and miso butter; the fish was very overcooked and very dried out. The sambal-maple glaze made it hard to chew, as it was super hard. Wasn't sure where the miso butter was. The sweet potato succotash was just okay, but could have been seasoned.I also tried their Blueberry Pie for dessert, which was more of a tart - topped with a blueberry compote and a scoop of crumb cake ice cream, this was just okay; I did enjoy the generous amount of blueberries, but the crust was very dry and crumbly.Service was very friendly; I wished extra silverware or larger spoons were offered with each of the side dishes, as we did keep requesting for extra wares. I also wished that they left pitchers of ice water at the table, as most of our drinks were waiting to be refilled. The vibe of the restaurant is dark and chic, and this place seems to be a favorite choice for HH.+Chive-Roasted Local Mushrooms+friendly service"
"Tried out their dumpling sampler. 6 for $12 seems a little pricey as you'd expect to be somewhat full. There was no way to find out which dumpling was which without biting into one. I couldn't differentiate a couple of the dumplings which I guessed were buffalo even though I know I ordered only 1 buffalo. Flavor wise it wasn't bad for most of them. Some of the dumplings looked more fried than others but it didn't really take away from the flavor. Nothing really bad but I don't think I'd drive out of my way again to have these."
"Such good food for such a great price! Nothing feels more celebratory than digging your fingers into rice and deep fried pork belly. They started us off with this bread roll that was deliciously sweet and soft, then followed it up with a heaping pile of fish, pork belly, chicken, and lumpia. There were also curried veggies. I thought the chicken was a bit salty but the rest of the food was excellent, especially when paired with the sauces that were given. My favorite was the whole fish, which came off in tender flaky pieces. It definitely needed the vinegar sauce but was absolutely delicious combined with that and the fragrant garlic rice. Service was also prompt, and we got hand wipes to clean our hands before the dessert of coconut chocolate pudding. I left stuffed and the two of us had two big boxes of leftovers that we brought home too. For the $50 pp price, this can't be beat!"
