"This is the OG boba spot of the city. I remember coming here quite frequently a few years back but eventually it fell off my radar because I wanted to try other places etc. Over the years I have tried many flavors including Taro, Thai tea, Sakura rose etc and their quality of flavors and boba has always been consistent. I got the premium jasmine milk tea, which is just 25 cents more than the normal jasmine tea, so why not. I haven't seen the Jasmine flavor offered at many places so I was super excited about it. It is so refreshing and I am glad it is only mildly sweetened. The sesame is interesting if you like the flavor (not for me but my husband loves it). It reminded me of sesame sweets and I am not a big fan of those."
"Taking a stroll in the neighborhood of the side to stop by to get some bubble tea. I was surprised how fair the prices were considering how expensive it can be in this area. The boba tea came in four different sweetness levels which I think was cool. I got Thai tea cuz I'm basic. My Thai tea was pretty tasty and the large size was definitely larger than I expected.I definitely will be back to come hang out and drink some bubble tea and enjoy the plant life."

"Went to Ice Cave after lunch one Sunday afternoon and got the matcha Taiwanese shaved ice. It was big enough to share with two other friends :) it was a tasty treat that hit the spot. Great fluffy texture but still very creamy and milky which satisfied my sweet tooth. It included mochi pieces and peanut and chocolate flavored candies. When I ordered I didn't realize there would be toppings and I didn't have the option to choose, but I still enjoyed the toppings that I got. They don't do sit down so make sure to plan ahead since it's getting colder. Luckily there are some nearby parks if you're looking for a place to sit. Really enjoyed Ice Cave! If I were to make a modification, it would be nice to have the option to pick toppings or for it to at least be clear on the menu!"
"i'm a little mixed about this establishment. I ordered the veggie spring rolls, and the veggie fried rice. the fried rice was actually great (i'm quite picky about fried rice) but it had lots of stringy egg. the spring rolls I LOVED!! BUT they were so tiny!!! so so tiny! and for the price, there are better finds for spring rolls that aren't so tiny! other wise, great place! I haven't eaten in so I wouldn't know about the restaurant itself and I am only speaking on the food I ordered! I did like how many vegetable options there was since I am vegetarian. will go back- but will try to order something more bang for buck!"
"*This review is for takeout only*Have you ever heard the term " Fair to Midland"? I know, I know. I'm showing my age with this term, but it's the best I can describe their food. If you haven't heard the term, it means Average, Mediocore. This is how I feel about Ban Ban Asian Bistro. The service was fast and came warm.We decided on the General Tso's Tofu, my daughter says it was just ok. We gave it 7/10. General Tso's Chicken, pretty good, 8/10.Vegetable Spring rolls, pork eggrolls, and the pizza rolls were all dry! I would never buy these again! Finally I got the Basil Beef dish for my husband. The beef was not eatable! Just bounce off your teeth! I'll be nice and give this 4/10. Conclusion: Some things were just ok, but will not order from this place again!"
"Above average fresh sushi. But, portions are small. Not many gluten free options. If you order a meal with choice of miso soup or salad, both contain gluten. It would be great if the restaurant could afford a gluten free option, for those who are allergic to gluten. Rolls in the Any 3 Dinner are 6 slices each, as opposed to 8. It comes with miso soup or salad. I ordered two of the Any 3 Dinner. They could've substituted 1 edamame for two soups. If I opted for the salad, which there's no gluten free dressing option, it would've been $1 more for each. However, they didn't. Shortsighted? There's many rolls to choose from. All refreshing and healthy."
"The bbq spare ribs were incredible! So good, had a nice little bit of char, delicious depth of flavor and I could sit there any eat it all day!The house special pho was okay not great. In my opinion, it didn't have very good depth of broth. I would say it's not bad, but not great either.Ambiance is nice, clean and friendly. Prices are reasonable as well. It's in a nice mall that seems very up and coming. Overall if you are craving pho, this spot is not bad. If you want barbecue ribs, this spot is amazing!"
"Still my favorite boba place in the world (lol even against places I've been in Cali)Oolong milk tea (30% sugar, no ice) large $6.25 - strong tea flavor. Not just soft and milk.3Q oolong soft serve ice cream $6.50 - really good flavor and texture this time. Texture is hit or miss though. Sometimes it can be too grainy or icy"
"Pho Le Lai is a Vietnamese restaurant located on St. Vincent Street in the Mayfair neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia. It is found in the same building as 1st Asian Supermarket, making it convenient to eat and shop for our Southeast Asian grocery needs. Both are closer to our Bucks County home, saving time compared to either Chinatown (traffic & parking) or Washington Avenue (traffic). I was the sole customer when I walked in around 3 P.M. The cordial manager got up from reading the newspaper and seated me at the table next to her and handed me their multi page menu. Another friendly woman came out of the kitchen with a pitcher of cold water, to answer questions and take my order. That was simple - Pho Tai and Roast Pork Banh Mi (This is a pho house, after all.) Ten minutes later she was back with the "Small" bowl of steaming beef noodle soup requested, and a side plate of exceptionally fresh standard accoutrement (sprouts, sliced jalapeno, Thai basil sprigs and lime wedge). I took a pair of new wood chopsticks and flat bottomed spoon from the table holder and doctored the pho to my taste, paying attention to pull apart the nest of noodles lying beneath the surface of the dark broth (Northern Vietnamese style). The flavor profile displayed some depth and had been simmering in a large pot for a long time. It wasn't quite as rich as Pho 75 or Pho Ha, but it was very good and didn't require help from the Sriracha bottle rocket on the table. It was plenty spicy with the addition of the jalapeno. I was content to slurp away and patiently lift noodles out of the caldron and fold them onto the spoon before shoveling them into my mouth. The Banh Mi arrived minutes later. It was a full sized sandwich on decent French baguette, cut in half. Like the pho, it was larger than anticipated, especially for $6! It was loaded with dark roast pork, daikon radish, carrot, aioli and cilantro. I added a long squirt of Hoisin to bring up the savoriness of that combo, and took a bite. From crusty roll through crisp daikon and ultimately tender pork, it was delicious and captivating. It was a complete oral and tactile experience. One of the best sammys I've enjoyed since Ocean Grove, California, the capital of Vietnamese America. Along with China Gourmet, the excellent dim sum emporium also in that building, the presence of Pho Le Lai make St. Vincent Street a strong destination for your Asian taste buds and culinary needs."
"The food and service (both robot and human) are very good here.Try the fried rice and Bao in addition to delicious bowls of ramen. The skewers (eggplant, lamb, asparagus) are great, too.A fun change of pace especially when we are carbo-loading."
"I like this addition to the local food scene. We go primarily for the robatayaki - but everybody that's had the raman rave about that as well. BYOB is a big plus in our book. Service can be a little sketchy occasionally , but great price points on the menu and selection. This is on the "regular" list...."
"Really nice place. Clean, bright and lots of choices! Tried the Singapore noodles with chicken and shrimp. Hearty portion for this dish, had to take some home. If you are into bubble tea you should like this place. Friendly service and a fast kitchen. Tried the bubble waffle w cookies and cream ice cream on top. It's worth a try!"

Still a five-star, now with a few more menu items! Listen, I pretty much still get a banh mi every time I visit (either the classic or the fried shrimp)... I mean, why mess with perfection. However, their rice bowls are a solid addition and have helped me introduce my banh mi hesitant friends to the wonders of Mi 'N Tea. If you haven't given them a shot yet, you now have at least one more reason!

Places like Ice Cave are one of my favorite things about living in West Philadelphia. Even though today was only my third visit (the first was at the previous location across the street), it's already one of my top 5 favorite places in the neighborhood.I'll confess I'm no shaved ice connoisseur, but the popularity of this item on Ice Cave's menu convinces me that I'm a lucky newbie to this frozen dessert since I'm experiencing it here. The mango pineapple shaved ice (which I got on my last visit) is insanely good. It comes with delicious mango bubbles and jelly, and the ice itself, which is a magical cloud of finely hewn deliciousness, tastes so uncannily of mango that I legit consider it to fulfill one of those servings of fruit that you're supposed to get every day (but that I personally never do, but which I now will when I visit Ice Cave).I would order the aforementioned shaved ice every chance I could, except it gets some pretty stiff competition from the boba teas offered here. Not only are they tasty, as most bubble tea is, but what's really special is you can customize them to get them just the way you like. Last year I got the peach black bubble tea, and specified that I wanted it "less sweet." The one problem I've ever had with bubble tea is that I find it TOO sweet, but this was perfect. So today, I figured I'd see just how much customization I could get away with- "taro boba tea with less sugar, less bubbles, less ice!" I declared. The super friendly owner just laughed and said ,"ok, taro boba tea, less on all three!" I forgot how sweet taro already is so next time I I might say "no sugar." Why not? Ice Cave is where dreams of sweets come true, and I do have a lot of dreams of sweets to fulfill!

Food? Amazing. Service? Honestly quite awful. We walked in around 5:30/5:45 pm on a Friday and there wasn't a hostess at the front, but we saw kiosks so we proceeded to just order on those (this was our first time here). We then went to sit down and after about 10-15 minutes a staff member came over to us to ask if we had ordered to which we said we did on the kiosks. However, the kiosks are only for to-go orders so we told him that and he made sure to relay the message to the kitchen. We noticed that other parties around us were also waiting a long time to get their food. We had an event to go to at 7 and when it was 6:45, we asked for an update on our food and was told that it had been packaged as a to go order so they had to remake it to serve it to us. We ended up getting all our food between 7-7:15.I will say the food was absolutely delicious. The cold sesame noodles had a great kick of the peppercorn that was to die for. The pork and crab soup dumplings, shrimp hargow, and wontons in chili oil were all very flavorful and authentic. Overall, I would probably only recommend this place for takeout or unless you have time to spare and don't mind a long wait.

Love the variety on the menu! Sushi rolls were a hit. The pineapple fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. The staff was accommodating and made excellent recommendations. The space is nice and bright and u can see them rolling sushi from your seat. Can't wait until the weather warms up to sit outside!

Ochatto has been the backbone of my college experience. Being so close, my partner and I probably order takeout once a week. Their 3 roll dinner special is our go to. Their rolls are always so fresh and the rice always soft. They also have a great miso soup. I can always rely on Ochatto for a great sushi dinner. I'm going to miss this spot after I graduate.

Let me preface by saying that when I rate bubble tea places, I usually compare them in relation to Kung Fu Tea because Kung Fu Tea's bubble tea isn't the best but it isn't the worst. It's not my go to spot it's always a safe option when that boba craving hits. And they have a good variety when it comes to milky and fruiter options. For additional context, I usually prefer fruit teas and adjust the sugar level (typically one level below 100% sweetness). After trying a handful of their drinks, I would rank Mr.Wish as being exponentially better than Kung Fu Tea. Mr. Wish is one of my favorite places to get bubble tea in Philly. They use fresh fruit in their drinks and you can really taste the difference whenever you order any of their fruit teas or smoothies. The tapioca pearls are also the best because they are the perfect chewiness and have the perfect amount of sweetness. Additionally, I like that the drinks, even at regular sugar levels are not that sweet. My rule of thumb is to adjust the sugar level to 60% if the fruit in the fruit tea is naturally sweet (i.e. mangos, lychee, peach, etc.) or if it is a milk tea. Otherwise, the regular sugar level is perfect, especially for the fruit teas, because you don't want the drink to taste diluted or too tart. Drink Ordered:* worth trying- [Orange Grapefruit Fiber Jelly Tea with 60% Sugar*]: 60% sugar level is an acceptable level of sweetness but I think it would taste just as good if you didn't adjust the sugar level. The drink is very refreshing and I like all the toppings in the drink (basil seeds, lychee jelly, and aiyu jelly).- [3Q Milk Tea with 60% Sugar*]: Perfect sugar level. If you like milk teas, I would recommend this. The milk teas at Mr.Wish are creamier than your typical milk tea. The 3Q toppings are lychee jelly, pearls, and pudding. - [Orange Green Tea with Aloe Vera and 60% Sugar*]: The sugar level was perfect. Refreshing but just sweet enough that you could appreciate the orange flavor with an equally refreshing topping.- [Snowy Pink]: Blended milk with a strawberry puree. The blended milk tasted like icy milk and the strawberry puree was a bit too sweet. - [Mango Smoothie with Pearls and 60% Sugar*]: Perfect to enjoy on a hot day. The pearls surprisingly do not harden in this drink. - [Grapefruit Green Tea*]: I like how refreshing this drink is. - [Peach Tea w. Fresh Pulp with Pearls and 60% Sugar*]: This is a really juicy drink. I like the combination of the peach chunks and the pearls. - [Kumquat Lemon Fiber Jelly Tea*]: Compared to the Orange Grapefruit Fiber Jelly Tea, this drink is more sour but still very good. - [Apple & Lemon Babo*]: I'm usually not a fan of drinks with sparkling water/soda because I don't like the carbonation but I thought this was quite good. I barely tasted any carbonation. I didn't think the regular sugar level was too sweet. You can't add toppings to this drink. - [Apple Tea w. Fresh Pulp with 60% Sugar]: I thought the drink was alright but the flavor was very similar to the Peach Tea w. Fresh Pulp but the Peach Tea is better because I like the chunks of peach in that drink. - [Tieguanyin (Oolong) Soft Serve w Brown Sugar 3Q*]: If you like tea, I would highly recommend this. The soft serve has a slight earthy flavor but it pairs really well with the brown sugar toppings for the right amount of sweetness. - [Wish Waffle Cake*]: When they used to have the flavor, I thought the matcha flavor was the best. I would recommend eating these as soon as you get them, otherwise, the waffle cake gets a bit soggy the longer you wait. Would I go back? : Without a doubt. The nice thing about Mr.Wish is that all of the locations have been pretty consistent in the quality of their drinks. In PA, I've been to 7 of their locations and they have all been equally good.

"BOBA ON THE MAIN LINE? Yes please! Come check out this cute boba shop on Lancaster in Ardmore right near Party Land (the address is incorrect in google maps, it should be east Lancaster not west. Right near Ardmore music hall.)Anyways, the aesthetic is so cute and plant-based. There's 2 big tables and one small table and honestly they need more. I went with 2 friends around 3:30pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. We had to wait a while for our order to be taken because there were only 2 people working there (one was a little boy who was so polite, well-mannered, cute, and helpful.) He helped make drinks and his mom, I presume, made the rolled ice cream which was very popular and looked really good. They have flavors that places in Philly Chinatown don't have! The boba itself was good. The tea was good. I asked for Matcha taro and I don't think they were used to mixed drinks yet, and it wasn't very even. It was still good, though! I'd come back. This is great boba and a great location and a great family-owned and run business. I need to come back to try the rolled ice cream!"
"The best dumpling place around! The food is always delicious and everyone here is so friendly! I love coming here especially when I want some comfort food!!"
"I love their bowl with 8 scoops of seafood, with all the veggies. It's not the cheapest meal in the mall, but the value is excellent. It's works with my diet, and it's delicious. The service is also first rate. I often recommend this place to friends."
"T cafe never fails to amaze. Today we got a custom birthday cake. I will say the flavor is quite subtle. I think it could do with a little more sugar in the cake and the icing. However, if you don't have a sweet tooth but want a cake, this is great for you. We choose the pink ombré icing, plain vanilla cream, vanilla cake, and fresh strawberries. On top we're fruit, candy, and waffle cones filled with two different flavored creams: mango and red tea. Although the price is quite steep at $55 the packaging and beauty of this cake is well worth it if you want to go for a show stopper. I've also tried their crepe cakes here and they are really delicious. My favorite is the mango, but the matcha is great as well. Those are $11 each but they are pure heaven."
"Cheated on my beloved Kung Fu Tea on Saturday and went to Tsaocaa only cuz Manayunk does not have a Kung Fu Tea.I have to say the Thai milk tea here is pretty great, and might I even say, better than Kung Fu Tea's Thai milk tea. This was my first time at Tsaocaa and price wise it's comparable to Kung Fu Tea, maybe a little more expensive, but barely. I like their tall plastic cups too. Probably not the most environmental friendly but they are just a little fancier than the other cups from the other Bubble Tea shops.I don't think they have an app where you can customize and order your drinks ahead of time, but the staff was quick, and I was in and out of there in 5 minutes."
"So on my pandemic-2020 journey through the West Philadelphia restaurant scene for takeout dinner, I discovered a new favorite this past Friday. Now, granted, I'm not a connoisseur of poke, (yet), but the bowl I had for dinner from Hayashi Sushi and Poke was abnormally delicious for what was really just a bowl of seasoned and sauced vegetables and fish. My partner, who got a vegetarian version of such a bowl, was also quite impressed, so an excellent choice for stricter vegetarians as well.I was looking for a dinner option that would be on the lighter side and inclusive of by fresh, raw vegetables. You would automatically think "salad" but I HATE getting salads as my main meal, so I wanted something more substantial. Yelp to the rescue - the reviews for HSP looked promising, and after my first ever poke bowl in LA last winter, I was curious to try more.So glad I did. I did a custom poke bowl, and while I won't go into detail about all the options you get, the standouts were definitely the zucchini noodles and the spicy tuna. I think if I got just a bowl of those "zoodles" and fish, that would have made me perfectly happy on its own. Well, keep the edamame too - I really like edamame. My partner got fried tofu as his protein and white rice as his base. We were both surprised by how filling the seemingly small bowls ended up being. The awesome miso soup (which automatically comes with poke bowls) probably helped with that. Miso soup is another thing I'm relatively new to - I told my partner THIS IS SO GOOD, and his response was, well, yes, but also pretty standard for miso soup, which is always good. It's such a win when trying new foods and styles of cooking and your early attempts happen to be at a fantastic spot. Excited to come back for more delicious poke, and to explore more of the menu too!"
"My last bubble tea experience wasn't that great, so I was really hoping Woosa's tea would be a step up and it surely was. I'm pretty stuck on the thai flavor bubble tea no matter where I go, so i definitely compare how everyone makes it. The thai tea here did NOT disappoint. Frankley, I was surprised because it's right up there with my fave spot that makes bubble tea in HMart. Woosa bubble tea had a deep creaminess to it that I really enjoy more than my usual bubble tea spot. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back to determine a new favorite. lol"
"They have more varieties of buns and dessert after they renovated the store. It looks cleaner and organized. Now they have donuts, blueberries cream cheese bun ( it's so good), tiramisu.Coconut pineapple bread is so soft like a pillow. You can pull apart per section. It has sugary pineapple topping. Price is still reasonable, on average it's below $3"
"Tea-Do does bubble-tea so well! I swear no other boba shop in the city makes better taro boba than Tea-Do! I also got takoyaki to go along with my boba. Their takoyaki is always freshly made and comes out piping hot! It's delicious with the octopus inside and the bonito flakes on top! 6 pieces for $3.50 is also a steal. Tea-Do also has other snack options such as gyoza, onigiri, & edamame to eat with your boba. Boba can be customizable too! Tea-Do is a great place!"
"Just had to write a review since I've been going to S & Pfor over a year and I see Mr. Wish opening up. I personally feel threatened and victimized by MrWish if they make my favorite Boba place move elsewhere because I don't like Mr. Wish lmaooo. S & P makes some litttttt drinks, fruit and milk tea wise. They also offer milk foam and fancy rainbow drinks you see at Vivi. Plus, drinks here are cheap. Usually my Boba cost 3.80 and I don't need to drive all the way down to Chinatown for decent Boba. If you are deciding between basic b-Mr. Wish and S & P, go to S & P. If you really wanted Mr. Wish, they're literally popping everywhere like a rash."
"Saigon Noodle Bar is a great addition to the Chestnut Hill Farmers Market bringing Vietnamese cooking to Chestnut Hill. You can eat at this stand in the market or at a table outside ... or just do takeout as I did. They'll give you a beeper to alert you when your order is ready so you can shop in the market or go buy a beer and claim your outdoor table if you are eating there and the weather is nice. Now the food ranged from great to decent. I loved the Chao Tom! This famous shrimp mixture wrapped around sugar cane is a special treat from the Hue region of Vietnam. At Saigon Noodle Bar it was expertly prepared and the accompanying fish sauce added to its flavors. The Cha Gio were also good and well filled. I like dipping these in fish sauce as well but at this point I was running low of the one sauce portion they included. That became more of a problem to me with my main dish of Bun Thit Nu'o'ng. It was okay but I need some sauce for the noodles, veggies, and salad ... or some seasoning. Fish sauce would work fine but I had used all mine up. Note to restaurant - put in two portions of fish sauce and not just one! Fortunately since I was at home I could make up a nice & spicy Thai sauce (ok I know it's not Vietnamese) and it worked well with the noodles and salad. I don't want to fail to mention that the staff working at this Vietnamese eatery were very friendly ... and probably would have given me more sauce if I had known at the time of purchase how little was included. I would def return to Saigan Noodle Bar but switch up my main course. The Chao Tom, however, I would easily order again!"
"So glad I live near this gem! It's refreshing to have a fruit tea/boba spot to go to outside of Chinatown, especially since parking at the plaza is ample and free. Menu-wise, the variety of drinks that they offer there is pretty diverse, from mango pomelo sago to brown sugar pearl latte. So far, I've tried both of these as well as the Yifang fruit tea all with 50% sugar and less ice. Out of these, I liked mango pomelo sago the best. I liked the creamy, custardy texture of the mango smoothie, and the refreshing citrusy aroma of the pomelo accented well with it. Sago was fun to chew, but I would've preferred to swap it with basil seeds.Yifang fruit tea was also good, but it's a tad too sweet even at the reduced sugar level. I suppose you could always add more water to lower the intensity and stretch out the drink to last a bit longer.Brown sugar pearl latte was a bit confusing. While the pearls were super sweet, the remaining of the tea only had a hint of sweetness. I suppose the pearls should've been thoroughly mixed into the tea to even out the overall sweetness, but their sugar level was pretty intense that I wasn't sure if it'd be possible. Since I parked my drink in the fridge for a while before I got to it, I'm not sure if this was because the pearls soaked too long in the brown sugar. I'll have to find out the next time I order it.Ambience-wise, I'd say this place is a solid work/study spot as well as a good place to catch up with a friend. I liked the coziness of the overall setting and would love to visit there again."
"I tried the crispy pork bao buns, mango bubble milk tea, chicken cutlet curry with jasmine rice and vanilla mille crepe cake. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and how good the food was. To be honest, I feel I could have skipped NYC's Japan Fes this year and simply ordered from Momoka instead. The chicken was light and crispy. The curry was a nice consistency and had a good flavor/texture. My only thing is I would have taken some spice as I prefer a spicy curry but it was still great bc it was kid friendly. My kids liked it too. The bubble tea was delicious and had a nice mango flavor. Last but not least is the crepe cake. Delicate but rich with a nice vanilla flavor. I would definately order again! If you're looking for a little something different for dinner, give Momoka a try! The hostess was very warm and the restaurant inside was inviting if you prefer sit down rather then take out."
"What an awesome little restaurant. Have been here twice for lunch and both times it was outstanding. I had Pad Thai the first time and Red Curry the second. If you are looking for a good, authentic Thai restaurant, check them out."
"Love this place in New York and so glad to see it opened up here in Philly! Decoration is cute, drinks come out fast, and there is always decent amount of seating when I come."
"Stopped here for lunch while doing some after-Christmas shopping. I like the location because there are plenty of other food options nearby, so if you're with a group like I was, everyone can get what they want and then meet back at one of the nearby tables.I got the hibachi meal with chicken. There are several protein options to choose from, some of which add a $1 premium. You can also pay slightly more for two proteins instead of one. For my base I went with fried rice, and finally for my dipping sauce I selected their Ginger Sauce. The chicken had nice flavor and was mostly good, save for a couple of pieces that were too hard/chewy. I really liked the stir-fried vegetables that came with the meal, and found that each vegetable was cooked nicely. For example, the broccoli was soft and tender, while the onion and zucchini retained some crunch. Just how I like them. The description for the Ginger Sauce I chose said it went best with seafood, but I still liked it with the chicken. It had a little bite from the ginger along with some sweetness. One disappointing thing about the meal was the fried rice. There was so much of it but I found it to be dry and not very flavorful. I barely ate any of it.The hibachi meal also comes with miso soup, which is a nice touch. I just wish it had more miso flavor.Service was good and and everyone behind the counter seemed to really be hustling because the place was packed on my visit."
"We were in the area and kids wanted Boba, so yelp led us here. Glad it did! There's parking behind the strip of restaurants, ten minutes free if you push the button. Chatting with the staff we learned thst most of the options are lactose free, good news for me! I enjoyed the 30% sweet pearl milk tea. Not too sweet at that level, with enough Boba to satisfy our urge. Kids liked their 60% sweet teas. Fast service, def recommend this place."
"Very fast service! I was excited to see a poke bowl shop open up in the area. It's also located in a super convenient location with plenty of parking. There's also limited seating indoors and outdoors in case you'd rather eat in the store, but most of the times I've gone, it was mostly for take out.The first time I visited with my friend, we both got the Big Bang poke bowl, which is the most similar to the poke I used to get when I lived Hawaii. It was a nice throw back to nostalgic times.Definitely a great new hole in the wall shop in town worth checking out!"
"Wow this place is pretty good! I got the fruit cup tea with 30% sugar and it was good! It was in the sweeter side compared to drinks in Los Angeles. I wouldn't get anymore sweetness. My brother got the oolong milk tea and it was on the sweeter side despite getting it in 30%. It tasted a bit fake so I would skip that next time."
"An impromptu lunch date with my partner was a good opportunity to try this renewed local spot! The folks who run the place are super nice and attentive, definitely family-run, and because of that I am going to do what I can to support this local business because we don't need another chain joint in our area. And good on them for taking a risk on Bala village where few retail businesses have been willing to invest.Similar vibe inside to when it was Trails End but they have opened up all of the internal space for dining so plenty of options to sit inside on a cold day. Lots of take-out snacks and drinks are available for trail users, including a nice selection of iced cream bars, coffee, bars, etc.On to the food. I absolutely love ramen, so honestly, I'm happy to have someplace in our neighborhood where I can get a decent bowl. Overall everything was good. Solid bowl of homemade ramen. Not at the level of places like Hiro or Terakawa, but not at all flat and the noodles were well cooked. I got it with shrimp tempura which came with 2 small but super crunchy shrimp that went well with the soup. Also, I got an order of takoyaki which actually was surprisingly yummy. Good texture and flavor came on a nice little bed of lettuce. Again, not the best takoyaki ever, but still pretty yummy. Was happy with the milk tea I got, tasted home-brewed and they got my sugar level just right. The tapioca was just ok. My spouse got a creme brulé bubble tea which was similar to mine but with a custardyness to it that I was jealous of. For a small shop run by 2 people that sells a lot of different things in a super odd location in Bala, this place surprised me with how good it was. I'm giving it 5 stars because they are new and are still building the business and getting the kinks out. I really do think this place can become awesome if people keep going and give them feedback to allow them to make it even better. I wonder if having so many options (poke, ramen, etc) is hurting them as people are used to either going to a poke place or a ramen place. Is it possible to do both types of food really well, maybe. But honestly, I think if they chose one and really nailed it, this place would take off. My vote is for ramen, but that's just because I'm not big on poke and there are already a number of sushi spots in our area. Overall, if you live in the area, and have a craving for some poke, ramen, or bubble tea. Please, support them, and help them get even better! I'm rooting for Platform Z!"
"It is located in a vienamese strip mall with parking lot,not too far from Italian market. the tea house is very clean and nicely decorated with small sitting area. my husband ordered egg foam coffee, bitter with egg yoke flavor, very interesting and taste good. i ordered dragonfruit tea. they used real fruit and black pearl is soft and chewy. i love it, most place use too much sugar, their drink is perfect, not too sweet."
"So my kid is somewhat of an anime expert and I'm a n00b so with the gimmick of an anime themed restaurant I thought to surprise her and come here for lunch. Even before getting out of the car, she was looking through the side door and said something to the effect that there was an anime character she recognized. We got inside and were seated quickly in one of the nine or ten booths available with five empty before 12pm on a Sunday. There were also a dozen or so tables set up for groups of four. My kid was able to point out about 95% of the characters on the walls, statues, and figurines and also what the red neon clouds on the ceiling represented (I don't remember). To order, the paper menus are on each table and you mark on the side what you want. The food came out rather quickly and very tasty. My kid was more than happy to point out how to correctly pronounce some of the foods as she recognized them from "Food Wars."To drink, my kid had a mango milk tea which she quite enjoyed and I had a nice sweet Rainbow Cloud in which about a quarter of the glass was loaded with chopped mangos and blueberries along with some kiwi slices. There was too much ice and not enough drink but being able to put the ice in the separate water glass made the task of eating the leftover fruit an easier one.For food, we shared the fried squid appetizer which was tender and not overcooked. I thought it looked small in portion but we each had enough and the mayonnaise dip it came with was good. The pieces were small tentacles. The ramens were very good and came in decent sized deep bowls. The fried chicken and the shrimp tempura came separate but with the ramens. I almost thought it was a wrong order to send back but was advised this is how they are served. The chicken was an exceptionally tender single sliced thigh with a great coating. My kid said she mostly liked the tempura but thought it was too much batter. She only got two with the ramen and thought three or four should have been given. The ramens themselves both featured chicken based broth with a hefty amount of noodles, a so-so poached egg, nice grasses and gingers and we finished them with our chopsticks and plastic ladles. Service was fast but as the restaurant filled up, you could tell that they could have used more help on the floor to assist. The bathrooms were mostly clean but I've been in worse. There's more hand-painted anime in there, too. It was interesting to see other people who know about anime pointing out all the characters on the walls and how they relate to the anime world.I felt that the food was a bit on the expensive side, but we both had a great meal and really, that's what your coming for - good food. Especially that chicken.$67 including tip for two adults. One appetizer, two teas, and two ramen bowls. We would come back."
"Delicious well done dragonfruit cold tea with its different layers of flavors from different ingredients they give it for the color, presentation, and taste. Two friendly workers in a very small working area. Hard work. Open area. Wish they had a private area to breathe in. Seating is just the food court for people who want to stay in the building. I avoided this Mr Wish for awhile because there is a more local shop in the same area that makes similar shakes and teas. Nothing caught my attention from there this time so I finally "gave in"!When I think of the name of this place, I remember being a 90s baby with that song "I Wish" by Skee-Lo. (Rolls eyes)"
