Torchy's Tacos

One would think that any bartenders you hire would have some sense of urgency, be able to multi-task properly, hustle a little. This girl has ZERO of any of that--no matter the line almost out the door, the dirty bar, the people waiting at the bar to order a drink. She's milling around at a snails pace with a smirk on her face. Not to mention only one cashier on the shift. Do they even hire real managers here anymore? Absolutely horribly run location.

My fiance and I went here tonight when in town - we needed a snack before dinner and hadn't had lunch so we wanted something smaller.I had the Democrat taco with beef barbacoa but unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of it - it was sweet, which I wasn't expecting. He had the Tipsy Chick taco which was very good (I took a bite). We also split the Hillbilly queso, which came with guac, chorizo, and cilantro in it, and it was delicious.Pricing is about $5.75+ per taco, and the queso was $8.25.I'd come back here again but overall wouldn't order the Democrat taco; it just wasn't to my liking.

Quick service and food. Crossroads tacos were delicious! The brisket was soft and well seasoned. Green Chile Queso & Chips had the right amount of heat.

Great location with a ton of parking. Nice spot to bring the kids, they have plenty of outdoor seating and space to run around. Torchy's is a full on chain on this point, but I feel they've never compromised the original taste and flair they had 10-12 years ago when they first came over from Austin. Walk up counter and the occasional quirky cashier, with a fairly straight forward menu. You know what they have at this point. Unique tacos and surprisingly reasonably priced drinks that also are of a good quality. Queso and chips are borderline elite. And there's a taco for everybody here. Monthly rotation for seasonal tacos. Love swinging by on a weekend morning for a breakfast order as well! Little nookies are a fun treat from time to time if you like cookie dough.

I love the servers, especially at the bar. The drinks are superb each time. My only gripe is how salty their chips are. I always ask for unsalted.

Went here for dinner on 4/23 - party of 3.We had the following:Queso + Chips - 5/5 - This was delicious. Hard to go wrong with a good queso, this had just a hint of spice which added to a nice flavor profile. I thought eh accompanying chips were fine but my wife thought they could have been crispier.Grande Burrito (beef & beans) - 4/5 - I thought the burrito was very flavorful. I would definitely order again. It tends to lean on the side of a bit salty which I didn't mind. The accompanying salsas were good but I asked for a bowl of pico de gallo which I thought was very good.Democrat Tacos (shredded beef) - This is what my daughter had. She really liked them and said she would give them a 4/5.Trailer Park Taco (fried chicken) - My wife had this and did not like. She said the fried chicken tasted like it wasn't made fresh.Brushfire Taco (Jamaican jerk chicken) - My wife had this as well and also did not like.My daughter and I would definitely go back. My wife thought overall the food was salty, did not taste fresh and would not go back.

Outdoor seating was great. Can't go wrong with democrats (my favorite). The food did take little longer than expected.

Really good gringo style tacos. I just wished they would pay more attention to cleanliness. Pretty much every open table sticky. And the drink station is full of trash being piled up.

Come here occasionally and service is always- bar tender is excellent.Rode out the storm there this evening and the staff was incredible and professional. Thank you for putting us all at ease, y'all were amazing in an extraordinary situation.

Pros:-Fast service-Indoor and outdoor seating-Bar area to watch sports-Flavorful - the bacon marmalade is memorableCons:-Price should be no more than $4 a taco.-No meal combos, I would appreciate a 3 for 10 or something.
