We were on vacation and decided to order a little of everything. The food was delicious. Our favorites were the fried oysters, catfish. The crawfish and shrimp étouffée were so very rich and creamy I wanted to just drink it but a few bites is so satisfying I can't imagine having more. I got it as a premium side- it needs rice but only because it's so very buttery. We paid $16 for an order of fried crawfish tails and would have been happy to do so but you could only taste batter. The crawfish could have had more seasoning to make it that spicy crawfish flavor we all love. The Cole slaw was also underwhelming, not enough dressing and no seasoning.Prices are a little high, but I guess that's just on everything these days. Overall I would recommend for the taste and if you have kids or a fun group, the atmosphere.

Great fried oysters! I whoosh they're had between a few more of them, but they tasted great. The restaurant is nice and clean, and the service was top-notch.

If the word "meh" was a seafood restaurant. Everything was bland. The food, the server, the sad attempt at ambiance. A very forgettable experience. I've had more interesting naps.

I hate giving this restaurant 1 star, I grew up coming here with my Nanny and it is nostalgic for me. The food is off and not impressive in the least, service is subpar at best, the atmosphere is in desperate need of renovation (borderline dirty). Over the years I have given this place several chances to get back to its glory but it will never get there with untrained staff with chips on their shoulders or with bland Cajun food or with cold fried shrimp. It is sad.

Cajun cuisine I'm seeing. This Louisiana native has to give them a try. I walk into this establishment and see the French Cross, an article when LSU won the national football championship with Nick Saban as the head coach, and various other Louisiana inspired items all around the place. I asked the waitress who on the staff was from Louisiana and she said no one was. Considering I'm in medium sized town Texas, I should not have been surprised. The waitress informed me the owner of the business was from Louisiana. The good: There is a lot of options on the menu. I walked in and saw a glutten free and keto option for those who follow those eating regiments. Gator...it's on the menu. Shrimp, fish and other seafood are served several different ways. There is even a good assortment for your sweet tooth. The bad: In Louisiana, generally speaking, you get a lot of food for your money. The food I had was almost $90 and that just didn't pass the eye or belly test for me. Portion size versus price ratio is WAY off. The ugly: Louisiana is known for flavor. We are not known for burning your mouth, but known for awakening your taste buds. This food was not made with Cajun love! Those Cajuns do not care about your high blood pressure, cholesterol or diabetes. They cook good tasting food and let you make your own destiny. This food was well prepared, in regard to frying texture, but the flavor level was nonexistent. The exception to that rule was the etouffee...I thought that had good flavor. The boudin balls almost had good flavor. I was really disappointed in the size of the slice of cheesecake. They lined the cheesecake with whipped cream to make it look bigger than it was. I should have opted for the homemade pecan pie. Will I go back to this place? Maybe. This place is a solid 3 star experience. If they have a food deal with decent pricing, I would definitely stop by again. I would just know that utilization of their condiments on the table (pink sauce, Cajun ranch, etc.) is a must. Maybe I'll try the lunch special to see if the portion sizes align with that particular decent price...

The waitress was veryyy sweet but I would not visit again I'm sorry. The food was a lot and it was meh. For seafood I want yum not eh it was fine. I prefer catfish king any day of the week. If there's a special or something they're known for maybe let us know but otherwise it just wasn't a winner for me.

Shrimp Boat Manny's is the best place to eat seafood in Livingston! We came here at the recommendation of a friend that is from Livingston and we were not disappointed! We were greates promptly at the door, and seated quickly! The restaurant is clean and has very quaint sea themed interior! Bathrooms were clean and stocked! Holly was our waitress and she was very friendly and prompt with drinks, and food. She answered all of our questions about the menu and was very knowledgeable! We are extremely satisfied and will definitely be back when we return to Livingston.

I was disappointed today after seeing "Cajun" associated with the name. K9It is just a bit better than the average seafood restaurant, but nothing popped out.Crayfish etouffe was actually made with a brown flour fricasse sauce which masks the rich tomatoey sauce that the crawfish fat makes of the dish. It was chicken fried steak gravy on crawfish. My light gumbo had an off tasting roux with a strong smokey sausage. Not gumbo one would expect in Lafayette. The Zydeco appetizer of deep fried veggies was delicious. The shrimp of my guests was cooked perfectly, not overcooked like most.Hushpuppies and homemade sauces were yummy.Service was lacking. Server did not remove one dirty dish during entire meal. No refills on drinks.

The food here is not even close to anything "authentic cajun" I had the gumbo, and my son had the catfish poboy. Let's start with the gumbo: Meats, seafood, etc. should be cooked in the gumbo and not added to your bowl after the fact. Now the poboy: A poboy is always judged first by the bread. French bread, to be exact. Please stop serving poboys on exaggerated hotdogs buns. And remember, dressed or not dressed (if you're authentic, you know what I mean).
