Okay ish bbq at a decent price. It's a carry out only joint. Turkey is okay, but doesn't have a real nice smoky flavor that I'd want. I wish the ribs had a bit more meat on them. The brisket was definitely the best of the lot, but won't win any contests. The bbq sauce was meh so I skipped it.The sides were really good. I enjoyed the potato salad and the coleslaw a lot.

Stopped here after gambling. Wanted to try something local. Lunch break is 3:00-3:30pm- no one is there during the time.I had their brisket and pork ribs with double side of beans because I don't like cole slaw or potato salad (I know I know)Customer Service is great!!!!Food Review: brisket is okay good taste but not as tender as it should be and doesn't have crust. He smokes with oak wood which is good for indigestion!Pinto beans are tasty and Higgs recommend.Since bbq is my wheelhouse I'm a hard critic let me start off.I am a firm believer in the great state of Texas of "Low and Slow" he rushes his meat and there is no caramelization. I like to be able to take a semi bite of brisket without using my whole bite to tear off brisket from the slice that was cut.The positive is that(I believe he uses) meat from his ranch in Livingston. It hits differentI would recommend this place and I want to come back to try the taqueria side to this place.

Fantastic brisket! I would definitely go out of my way to get their brisket again. Probably the best we've ever had. They smoked it with post oak, according to the very cordial person serving up the meat. Quaint outdoor seating, fast service. Convenient stop on our road trip.

coworker asked for a baked potato NO MEAT because she simply doesn't like meat, the man angrily continued to argue that its the same price with or without meat!! Was not looking for a discount, just didnt want meat!! Then started mumbling something under his breath, poor customer service.

Entered the restaurant. Observed large group leaving dining area. Several tables needed clearing. Owner came in. Emphatically (I.e. YELLED) informed us that dining room was CLOSED. We left. Found a much more appealing place.

Some of the best BBQ you will eat, had brisket and the green chili sausage, both awesome. The bbq sauce was different but very good, plenty spicy. You will not regret stopping here.

Food was very good. Plentiful and cooked just right. Brisket sandwich was delicious. Even the bun was special. The baked Prato was loaded and then topped w chopped brisket. It lasted me for 3meals. I'll be back!

Great people that will cut you the type of brisket that you want (lean, moist or bark), great tacos and real sugar drinks in the cooler. Ask for the sauce even though you should not eat with the meat (this is Texas) it is great on a piece of what we call "lite"bread. Everyone who has not rolled a piece of soft white break and dipped in good sauce has a new "delight" in store.
