"Totally worth the 25min drive for me just to get their quesadillas, they have flor de calabaza, huitlacoche- can't find those just anywhere. I've taken some friends here a couple of times and EVERYONE loves their food. My favorite is their cecina, it's flavorful & tender. Their quesadilla tortillas are handmade of fresh masa & deep fried, they're pretty big- hard to find too, they're topped off with lettuce, queso fresco on top of their meat and melted cheese. Their tortas are huge and good too."
"Honestly love this tacos!! Very Hispanic style, double tortilla, Mexican queso blanco, the salsa is sooo good as well! Very authentic I believe"

You won't even CARE-OSTruly perfect tacos are really very RARE, HOSYou'll find them here at the great LOS MEROS(Then come over to my place, cuz I wanna SHARE O'S)WHATI saw them appear on the horizon of Hwy 6 like a Mero-age. They do 1 thing, and 1 thing only, and they do it so well. That is, Monterrey's famous Trompo Tacos, the most popular kind in NL (Nuevo Laredo province of Mexico, which is adjacent to South TX).Some of the best and most authentic delicious Monterey style tacos I've had - ever. Trompo is the Monterey name for Al Pastor, but it's a bit different and honestly a little bit tastier - and these guys make it to perfection which is why it's pretty much all they make. When you come here make sure you get some Trompo Tacos, and sit and enjoy some of the most delicious tacos you'll find anywhere. There are other locations of this excellent truck as well. They also have chorizo (very good) and some other meats (not bad), but you must get Trompo. It's why the lines are so long.My Yelp listings (that I created) for several of these spots up and down Hwy 6 keep getting merged into the main one way up in the North burbs, half an hour from these actual locations, which is silly because it makes them hard for Yelpers to find them, and besides *they are separate businesses*. Oh well. Yelp will be Yelp.So come and check them out. Simply some of the best tacos you will ever get at this unheralded and completely Spanish-speaking series of taco trucks that are parked all along Highway 6 and sometimes in other places. In other news, I was thinking of getting a tat... like, an arrow, but a "Tribal Arrow." Get it. Get it.Anyway. If you don't come and try these for yourself, it's your Los."
"Very reasonably priced and of course amazing flavor! We stopped in and enjoyed the colorful outside, so naturally we headed straight for it. We ordered the chicharon, Agua fresca mango, hot Cheetos with chili cheese, large fruit and hot dog. So good and cost was $15 not too bad for all the food. Everything was delicious. Coming back when I am in the area."
"When I was in town for a conference, this taco truck was recommended to me by our hotel front desk clerk as one of the popular trucks in the Houston area for late night taco runs. I had the al pastor and carnitas and they have the cabeza, tripa, lengua variety as well. The flour tortilla was nicely toasted and the meats were very flavorful. The tacos came with onions and cilantro and your choice of red or green salsa. All washed down with a large half liter glass bottle of Mexican Coca-cola. It was very tasty. I highly recommend this place, they park right in front of Fiesta Pawn shop, so you know it's legit. It will be MY go-to truck for late night tacos if I ever go back to Houston."
"I'm not from the area but definitely wanted to try this place out because I've heard great things. After my second trip must say definitely worth making the drive. I've had their rusa's, tostilocos with ceviche/aguachile, and their manzana preparada. Everything was great! Fresh shrimp which I like so much about it & are very generous! I like that I can stay in the comfort of my car and can't forget the awesome service too."
"It's a small blue food/truck stand at the gas station corner. The family is really nice. Their taco is $1! You can't beat that. The taste is good and they have my favorite green creamy sauce. Be careful it is pretty darn spicy! Overall, a good solid taco stands and I will definitely come back."
"Lived in the area for over a year and have driven past this food truck park without a second thought. Finally pulled in! There are a few trucks, most weren't open but we were here for the tacos. There are a few options, breakfast tacos, tortas, and tacos. We ended up ordering 2 barbacoa 2 al pastor for $8- and they were great! Excited to have finally found a good barbacoa taco in the Houston area! The two salsas were really good (red was actually HOT!) definitely will be stopping back for more!"
"Place is pretty flippin excellent! Word to the wise: If when you order a gordita, don't expect some teeny little San Antonio street gordita. These babies are huuuuge (like Donald Trump "yooouuuggge"!)But everything is quite good. We went at the end of the day, and the chicken was a little dry, but still good. I'll be back!"
"Went to try this taco truck for dinner and the food was on point. Had 2 tacos and a gringa and the meat is cooked with mesquite, which gave it a great flavor. They also have a small covered seating area if you want to eat there. These are the best trompo tacos I've tasted in the area."

Ordered two fajita tacos with cheese and the total was $4.60 . slightly high for street tacos . The tacos were pretty good but I've had better tacos for less $. I will say that this is the best we've had in this area though .

Good street tacos but they are super slow. Mostly because people order 30 tacos at once and you stand there waiting for the one cook to make them. Not worth the wait if the line is long IMO. Bring your patience. Knowing Spanish helps to but not required!

I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years now. I usually get the elotes and a raspado. This was the first time I tried the Pina Rusa. Overall the fruit was fresh except the Tamarindo Con Chile straw it tasted like fabuloso cleaning product. I will give them another try because this was the first time I had a bad experience.

This taco food truck is worth trying amongst the hundreds here in Houston. I had the barbacoa and el pastor tacos. The salsa verde was FIRE. Just your classic taco food truck with friendly service. I'd give it 5 but my friends burrito was extremely greasy. Still delicious.

They have a new system of controlling traffic but it's making their wait times far worse. I spent almost 45 minutes waiting for corn in a cup and cucumbers. And they way they puzzle you in you can't get out so you're essentially stuck and trapped. It makes no sense actually. I had to make one more stop after this that I now can't make bc they are closed. It's snacks... they have to find a more efficient way to do this or move to a bigger space. And I'm literally watching a car who got here after me get large parts of their big order before me.

Their tacos are delicious the green sauce is really good. The tacos are small but you can't beat them for a $1 next time I would probably get 8 of them .
Visit Restaurant Page"After a fun day of day drinking at a pub crawl, Solecita definitely came in clutch for some much needed eats to sober us up. My friend recommended this place because of the tortas and bread was definitely something I needed. There were four of us who stopped to grab a bite and we got two tortas and an order of tacos. Let me tell you, these tortas are humungous! We all took a half and went to town on them. Now only were they big, but they were also very delicious. There is no way I could have finished one on my own. I didn't try the tacos, but I heard they were good as well. This place will definitely be in my downtown rotation when needing a quick bite!"
"This is coming from someone who has over 1000 reviews on yelp. I cannot even tell you how many restaurants I've been to in Houston Austin San Antonio and all around the United States. All up in the West Coast, all up in the Midwest, I've been about 28 states so I've been to a ton of restaurants in the United States. I say all that to say this. Since I was 17 years old I've been going to taco Nazo in Northside. That has been my king of all tacos in the United States. They have never been close to become in dethroned. Well all that is changed. After trying tacos bombers for the first time today, they had e dethroned taco nazo. This is absolutely the best Taco I've ever had in my life. I cannot explain how good this Taco is. You simply have to come by and try it. The beef fajita steak is so tender, you can tell this is very quality cut of meat. The gentleman that owns this pop-up is extremely nice and let me tell you this man knows how to cook some food. He goes the extra mile to use extremely high-quality ingredients. I am very shocked that no one has reviewed this place yet. This was so good I will be going there tomorrow. I mean I cannot get over these tacos. Every single bite was full of flavor. Just simply amazing. Once again this is the best Taco I've ever had in Houston, this is the best Taco I've ever had in United States. Bar none"
"The food, the menu, the yumminess! Go here and have a happy belly! Remember, cash only and not there on Sundays or Mondays. My previous review disappeared. Dang. This food truck is at the gas station parking lot Tuesday through Saturday! Cash only! Go get your street size tacos! They're delicious. It's not corn tortillas or flour tortillas but they're sufficient! And get yourself an aguas frescas! My favorite is Horchata but they have Tamarindo and another one as well. They're all good! I love the tacos! They're tasty. I always get fajita but they have other meat choices too. Check out the menu, go hungry! Food that won't break the bank :D"
"One of my husband's cousins recommended this Refresqueria since they know we often frequent them. We happened to be in the area, so we decided to stop. To our amazement, it was pretty empty. Not only is this place spotless when you walk in, there is also ample seating as well! The customer service is also top notch. We were able to choose from a huge menu that had a lot of different items that other Houston Refresquerias do not have.We ordered the chicharron preparado, mangonada, and crazy corn with chicharrones. All was delicious and made us wanting more. This place is also the cleanest Refresqueria I've ever been into. The floor is polished, the tables are clean, and there aren't any weird and nasty smells here. Flowers adorn the tables as well next to the paper towels that are brilliantly placed for dirty faces. We will be sure to come back!"
"Holy mother of tacos, this place is FIRE!!! I've tried several of their menu items, and I have never been disappointed! The value is there for the flavor-packed food and hearty portions. The street tacos are my go-to, but the pizza (topped with any meats of your choice) and the birria ramen were INSANE - in the most delicious way.El Norteno reigns supreme for Mexican street food style fast food on the Northside."
"If I'm not here at least once a week getting breakfast tacos, I'm probably kidnapped, trapped under something heavy or don't have a pulse. Fresh ingredients, tasty and muy authentic."
"Totally recommend their tacos ,tortas and quesadillas .They serve Al Pastor, Cochinita Pibil, Chorizo Carne Asada Tacos etc etc Delicious and the best salsas. Also serve Frijoles Charros and if you are lucky Champurrado . Must visit"
"Thissan;d gso si ago daklj; Omg ksat the abraowcao is aod sfmazing it tastes go dookj i cants topakdls but o eay more aby more each;lk timea'the greeenk sauceeea is where its aztts. the lasy yime i had one aklyj of each yayoc it was z to good.EDIT:This is the best drunk food stand. It's located in the same lot as THE LOT, the tacos are cheap 2 bucks a taco, decent sized, and filled with meat.My fav is the barbacoa, but I have had all of the flavors, in one drunken sitting. The service is fast and they know how to put up with drunks. The green spicy sauce is where it's at.Don't try to write a review while you're drunk."
"This food truck is so awesome. He works so hard at making it delicious & the set up is great. He has brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage all home made."
"This taco truck has been in its current location for more than a year and I finally got around to trying it out. Very glad I did. I got three tacos--egg and sausage, beef fajita, and barbacoa, all on flour tortillas. The tacos are small--street size, but they are only $2 apiece so they are a great bargain. The eggs were cooked fresh when I ordered, so they were fluffy and delicious in the breakfast taco. The fajita taco was tender and cut small but not too small--if there were any gristly bits I didn't notice. The barbacoa was squishy tender, just like it should be. They were all just a bit salty but really good flavor, and all three came with an avocado slice that complemented the filling wonderfully. I tried both the red and green sauces. The green chile sauce is the milder one, but it still had a pretty good kick. The red sauce is hot stuff. If you like hot, you will actually get it here.My only disappointment was the drink. The agua fresca of the day was pineapple. I like pineapple, but this one was a bit watery. Still good for washing down the tacos but I'd probably get a Mexican coke next time. This place has been open pretty much any time you would want food, 7am-9pm every day except Sunday (8-3). Just recently they have not been as consistent about keeping posted hours, let's hope they fix that. Great place for a quick bite, I actually like it best of the three on that corner."
"If you are the type of person that appreciates concession stand snackies, a Mexican refresqueria is just that. Snowcones, nachos, Frito pie, Flamin' Hot Cheeto pie, dorito pie, churros, licuados (milk shakes), elote in a cup.... There are a few Tampico Refresquerias in town, but I like that this one is along the Eastwood Park hike and bike trail. It's cash only. And no outdoor or indoor seating. Just grab your snacks and move it along..."
"Can't believe I've never done a review for this truck. Shame on me!With all the taco stands in this area, you'd think this orange truck sitting behind a shopping strip wouldn't be making it. You are oh so wrong! These guys have been here for a VERY long time. What makes them 5 star IMO is that over the years outside of painting the truck orange nothing's changed. Their food & service hasn't changed. Prices are still the best around. Orders are always fresh & hot. I'm no pro & idk what goes into the making of a gordita shell but man they've got some of the best. They aren't tough or stale tasting as I've had at other trucks. The tortas a very good too. Never had an issue w/ portions or orders being wrong. Their salsa is yummy too! If you can get past what some would say is a shady/ghetto area, then you'll be able to make it to some really tasty bites that come with great prices & a smile. Yelp on my friends!"
"They were vendors at this Dope RAXX.BU Vintage Market event and when a friend of mine poured his into a boat, I knew I had to get some. I got the brisket + elote. The brisket was seasoned Perfectly- just enough bbq sauce, the elote was ELITE. Dudes were gracious and the portion was So good."
"My boyfriend and I stopped by Taqueria Tacambaro on our ten taco tour of Houston and even amidst a stuffed itinerary of some of the best tacos in town, this stand stands out in my memory. I took the leap and ordered the mollejas (sweet breads/thymus gland) while my boyfriend got al pastor for his less adventurous stomach. For anyone on the fence about trying the mollejas, do it! The women here really know how to tame the earthy flavor that usually accompanies organ meats. The taco had some nicely rendered crispy fatty bits, like a perfectly cooked pork belly, with a crispy surface and just enough gelatinous chewiness. There is just a hint of the rich earthiness of the mollejas that emerges without overwhelming the taco. Best of all, you can watch them make gorditas and heat up tortillas on the griddle while you eat. The gorditas looked so wonderfully crispy and the woman working the griddle masterfully splits them in half with a swift slice. I was so tempted to get a gordita, but sadly, our tour was tacos only and I needed to save room for several more on our journey. I'll definitely be back for some more mollejas and some of the tripas -- next time in gordita form. I love that this stand serves up some more unique meats that don't usually make the menu at taco trucks. Order up some lunch here, and spend some time looking around the farmers market afterwards!"
"This place is a strong 3. I like tacos, and I will venture into just about any kind of setting to eat them. Not because it is hipster trendy to go to divey places, but because this fat boy really like some tacos. As other posts have said, this place isn't particularly clean. It is not the dirtiest place I ever ate, but there is room for improvement. Service is spot on. Fast, friendly. No complaints there. Tacos are $3 and in general, I felt like I received good value for the cost. The carnitas were seasoned a little too salty for me, but I am kind of sensitive to that. The carnitas portion was really big. In contrast, the portion size on my Barbacoa taco left me almost feeling like I did not get enough on that one when in reality it was just dwarfed by the carnitas taco. The barbacoa flavor was fine. The green sauce was awesome. Like I said, a strong 3. I would come back here if I were in the area."
