El Norteño Tacos

El Norteno Tacos is one of the best taco trucks in the Houston area, hands down! I've had the chicken quesadilla, quesa birria, tacos all carbon, and birria ramen and all of it was among the best I've had. Not only is the food good, but the prices are reasonable as well. A family of 4 can eat here for less than $40 and the wait is never long! Be sure to get extra green and red salsa! It's homemade and absolutely good on everything!

Holy mother of tacos, this place is FIRE!!! I've tried several of their menu items, and I have never been disappointed! The value is there for the flavor-packed food and hearty portions. The street tacos are my go-to, but the pizza (topped with any meats of your choice) and the birria ramen were INSANE - in the most delicious way.El Norteno reigns supreme for Mexican street food style fast food on the Northside.

I've been hearing about this place for months. I knew it was in my backyard but never had the chance to try it until one Friday night. They're parked in the Ignite Gas Station (Spring Cypress & Kuykendahl) which is honestly a small lot for them giving the crowd they attract. Pulled up around 9:30 pm on a Friday night and the lot was packed with people waiting in line for this food truck. Best friend and I shared the quesabirria and had two Birria tacos.... FIRE? Do you hear me!??? It's like I fell in love that love with food and was. Ot ready to end the relationship after finishing our meal The line moved pretty quickly for how long it was. They have a small outside eating area (where we sat) and then they have an inside area attached to the convenience store of the gas station. Definitely worth the wait. I will be a loyal customer from now on.

This was our first time here after looking for Tacos de Barria. My husband ordered Queso Barria and I changed it up to get Tacos de Bistec y Trompo. They were sooo good and I even took some of the sauce and dipped them in it too (just an idea).The price is very reasonable, the truck and outside is clean and organized and although there was a line, the wait was surprisingly short. We are definitely repeat customers and this time I'm going to order with confidence

I always enjoy a good taco truck and this one did not disappoint! The birria tacos were yummy, and the broth to dip the tacos in was also full of flavor. The tacos alone were definitely worth the wait. The staff was kind and made sure we were okay while we waited for our food. I like the fact that the agua frescas were in bottles and easy to grab, but I wish they had different size options as they are a bit pricy compared to other agua frescas for this one size. Nonetheless, they are still fresh, convenient, and enjoyable.

Listen to me! TEN OUT OF TEN OUT OF TEN. Surprised I'm barely reviewing this spot as many times as I've had it via UberEats. I usually get the Birria tacos but I got the Quesabirria this time and it was bomb. Always fresh and hot. I went in person once and they're friendly people. My go to birria spot and I recommend them to anyone who will listen.

Best Tacos in Houston, love that it has authentic Mexican food. Like the vibe and great customer service!!

I'm not one to leave reviews but I decided to try this place out after reading a few reviews and craving some authentic food. We ordered the quesa birria and we had to send them back because they didn't have cheese on all the quesadillas. Hate having to send any food back but we paid for cheese! When they gave the food it not only had an excessive amount of cheese now but it was sooooo soggy and limp. I didn't eat the food. Didn't even care to take a bite. My husband did take a few bites and said the flavor was good but he would never eat there again for the fact that he had to come home and try and crisp up the quesadillas from how soggy they were. So very disappointing!

Awesome food, order probably twice a week on average . Birria tacos are great, get the quesadilla and dip it in the sauce. Perfect
