$5 Barbacoa nachos, added the red and green sauce myself. The thick chips were clutch.

Located across the street from Kung Fu on a Saturday night. I may be a little biased as my appetite was heightened but nonetheless still delicious. I got the nachos which felt like a bit of a wait for what it was, but it's late and there were quite a bit of orders. Got the barbacoa nachos which had nacho cheese, pickled jalapenos, sour cream and of course barbacoa. The chips they used were the thick kind so they never got soggy which is key. It was a little tex-mexy as they had nacho cheese... but at 2am, who cares!! It still tasted awesome. The red sauce it pretty dang hot, green wasn't quite as hot. Not a bad price for $5. $2 for a gatorade was clutch.

It's located in the same lot as THE LOT, the tacos are cheap 2 bucks a taco, decent sized, and filled with meat.My fav is the barbacoa, but I have had all of the flavors, in one drunken sitting. The service is fast and they know how to put up with drunks. The green spicy sauce is where it's at.Don't try to write a review while you're drunk.

The luminescent perfection of a taco truck in the night is unrivaled when the pangs of hunger strike. Pressed for somewhere to eat at three AM on a Wednesday night, this magical taco truck had been beckoning me in the distance all evening long from Reign Lounge. We were a little taken aback when approaching the truck. "It's like nice," were my exact words. Yes--a nice looking truck indeed. They have more than just tacos too. Hamburgers, hot dogs, tortas . . . and that's about all I could focus on. Tacos. I need tacos!I went with a barbacoa and a pastor--cilantra y cebolla of course! The pastor is decent here, but is missing a little punch for my taste. It's like it needs to marinate a little more, at least on this Wednesday night. I can't say that the barbacoa is the best in the city, but it's definitely a contender. This tasty delight had some of my mates testifying. With greasy, fatty late night goodness like the one Quiché dishes out--who wouldn't?Definitely one of my new spots! I'm sure I'll be back and back and back again.

Inebriated or not, these tacos are "bomb af"!! If you love the spice, drench your tacos in the green jalapeño sauce. Ordered 2 chicken tacos for $4. Can't beat delicious tacos near Kung Fu Saloon, Concrete, Clutch, and everything else in between on Washington. Only downside is CASH ONLY (but still not low enough for me to take away a star) Highly recommend!

There's nothing better than street tacos after a night out. It's my ultimate drunk food. I'd never seen this truck before, but it was the only option across Kung Fu Saloon on Washington, so we gave it a shot. Two signs of authenticity: 1. Cheap; tacos were $2 each 2. Cash only; AS IF they're giving up a % of your $2 credit card transactionThe barbacoa really hit the spot. Watch yourself with that spicy green sauce! My best friend shared her Al Pastor tacos, forgetting to inform me that she doused them in green sauce. I DIED. Tears were rolling down my face because I was in excruciating pain. It's the single spiciest thing I've ever eaten in my life, no lie. Water doesn't help. I think it's maybe not that spicy in moderation, but I got a mouthful. At least my friends got a good laugh out of it. It'll take me a while to get over the trauma.

Disgusting. Hair all in the food and in the lines. The cook wasn't wearing a hair net. No gloves very unsanitary place. Wouldn't recommend

I started my birthday celebration a day early with a happy hour mini pub crawl of sort with coworkers. I suggested the convenience that is Washington Ave, blocks from my house, bars and pubs close proximity to each other, and taco trucks. By no means was this a late night. It was a school night and I had some parental responsibilities to tend to at home, but I was excited to end it at Taqueria Maya Quiche. Maya Quiche is only open in the evening, for the late night shenanigans on Washington and because I was hanging out early evening I decided to partake. Taqueria Maya Quiche is probably the nicest taco truck on Washington. I was disappointed when I noticed stacks of prepackaged tortillas sitting in the window. I know many of these guys use them, just a little disappointed to see them so prominently displayed. I hate to be predictable, but I like to stay as consistent as possible when rating tacos, but I went with my standard 3 tacos, fajita, barbacoa, and al pastor all finished off with cilantro and white onion. My favorite of the three had to be the barbacoa, and running a close second was the al pastor. The barbacoa might have been a bit fatty and greasy for lunch, but it hit the spot after a few beers and tequila shots. The al pastor still had some very good flavor from the chili marinade. The fajita was OK, I think it got lost in the flavor profiles of the barbacoa and al pastor, the textures and the aromas were just to much for the fajita to contend with.I really liked the tacos and if I'm doing a late night on Washington, I can see myself stumbling to the window and ordering a few tacos to sober me up for the walk home. Remember Maya Quiche is only open in the evening and they will be a bit more expensive than any other taco truck in the area, but then again they are probably the only ones open that late.

Best quesadillas on Washington. (Including the fancy restaurants). Nice people good prices. I get half beef half barbacoa extra crispy. Watch out for the red sauce, it's hot.

"Taco trucks" are a dime a dozen here in Houston, but everyone has their favorite am I right? I live no where close to this area but I may have to take a quick drive just to indulge in these tender morsels. I ordered El Pastor (pork) and Barbacoa (shredded beef) tacos with the fixings (pico, cilantro, lime juice). The meat was so juicy and flavorful and the order came up super quick, I Only waited about 3 minutes. They normally come on a corn tortilla but there were an option for flour with an extra cost. I love when food is just good food sometimes. When your hungry and want to be satisfied you don't need all the glitter and lights, just well seasoned and succulent food to suppress your hunger monster inside. This is such a place that delivers all you need and more. They had other items like quesadillas, burritos, frito pies, etc, but I would definitely recommend the tacos!!!

I had the drunk munchies one night while I was partying on Washington Street and my eyes lit up when I saw a food truck open late night. Parked close to Clutch Bar, Concrete Cowboy, and Kung Fu, Taqueria Maya Quiche serves authentic tacos at a reasonable price. That means your tacos are served on corn tortillas and you're only paying $2-$3 a pop (I can't remember which one it was). I ended up getting one barbacoa taco and one taco al pastor. I specifically asked for no onions, the cashier repeated my request, and then I received tacos with onions. It was a simple request so I have to notch them down a bit for this. The tacos aren't huge but still decent and good value for the price.
