"Been here a couple times for dates or for a quick beverage when I'm in the area. It's a bar that has basics such as full-bar drinks, typical bar food, inside and outside seating, a good amount of tvs, and live music on Fridays. Last time I was here, they had a live cover band consisting of a pair of aspiring musicians who played some classic 90's tunes (think 3EB, SemiSonic, STP, etc.). I think they even threw in a Spice Girls song which was a nice touch.I haven't tried any food here; just drinks. While they aren't the cheapest (who is), they do have happy hour and drink specials that have extended hours on weekends and some nights. Hard to argue with that.One of many bars in Houston, nothing special about it. Yet nothing negative. Fortunately I've always gotten solid service when I'm here unlike some of the other reviews I've read."

"I came up to this side of town for a YES event, and rolled in an hour early. So what do we do when we're bored, and hungry? We eat! And so I did. I've NEVER been to this area, so it was all new. They have a little green space for the little humans to roam and scream, and so they did. Very picturesque. Being a Thursday at 6p, it wasn't too crowded, and I got a nice seat outside without a wait. I wasn't tryna gorge, so I went with an app and a drink. Who doesn't like Chargrilled Oysters, amiright?! So I ordered that and a Hurricane. Noor was helping me out today. She was attentive, and fast with the service. As I was waiting for my order, Parker rolled up with a sampler of their soups and a shrimp on the house for first timers. The Cab Bisque was DELISH. I would buy that. 2nd place was Roasted Jalapeno soup, 3rd was the Clam Chowder, and 4th was the gumbo. Shrimp was great too. The oysters were very tasty. I enjoyed the stuffing. Garlic and savory. The hurricane was very photo friendly, and tasty. I would recommend you mix it, but it does look cool when layered. Just sayin. Overall, will be back, they have one in Pearland. I'm about it. Thank you to Noor and Parker for a great experience, and great food!I never went inside to know what the facility is like, so TBD on that."

"Less than $20 for one of the largest burgers I've seen in a while, fries, and all I can drink iced tea. I had been to another location a few years ago and remembered liking it. So today when it was time for lunch meeting we met here and stuffed ourselves silly. The burger was tasty as well as large, in some ways almost too much so that it fell apart as I was eating it. I had this crazy burger literally I think the name, with like double patty bacon and cheese. It came with fries, surprisingly not a lot of them but plenty for my meal, and a drink as part of a combo for I think $18 plus tax. I probably didn't need such a big burger. As often happens my eyes are bigger than my stomach. However I never let that stop me. The counter service was rather quick, and the place is simple. We took over a booth for over 2 hours, and no one seemed to mind cuz there was plenty of other seating."

"My fried fish was light and fresh, and fried perfectly. The shrimp was spectacular as well and both shrimp and fish were prepared without heavy seasoning. Her turkey burger was the best she'd ever tried as she left not a morsel behind . She asked "Wow! How'd you find this place?" We both liked the fries too! Our frozen margaritas were just right. We will be coming back to check out the DJ and see what the crowd looks like at night. From what we can tell it looks like it will be lively as they have a small stage, ample seating room, a floor for dancing and a DJ booth."

"Found out that JLB Eaterys and Joy Love Burgers are the same. Want a Crazy Burger? Both places have them. Today I tried the Bacon Avocado Burger and it was very tasty. Came wit' an angus beef patty, cheese, crispy bacon, avocado, mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle. I got it as a combo 'cause it's cheaper, the combo came with a drink and fries or onion rings, the onion rings were amazing. Our grandbaby got some tater tots, since i'm the official tester/taster....I gave them 5 stars, crisp exterior and a soft inside...yum. My wife got the Shrimp basket, she went with London Style Fish & Chips instead of Cajun Style. The shrimp plate came with fries, onion rings and toast, the lady that patiently and politely waited on us provided tartar sauce and cocktail sauce for the shrimp. A tad more breading than we like but still 5 stars. You can see by the windows in the building....it started life as a Pizza Hut. We will be back for more goodies."

"The home of the GUMBO DIP TACOS!!!! It is an experience all by itself!!!I was number 3 in line on a Thursday. There are sooo many rules but I have to admit they are friendly and keep smiles on their faces. All of the staff were working diligently. I ordered the starter kit $25.00It includes 3 tacos and one bowl of gumbo The tacos come fresh to order. The fillings are mixed and then placed in a tortilla on the grill and cooked to perfection Then you get a bowl of seafood (shrimp), chicken and sausage with rice. The roux base of the gumbo is really tasty and favorable. I would surely recommend this place. It is great. My favorite part is dipping my taco in my gumbo. Yes I admit being from New Orleans I was reluctant but I have to admit you really been in that kitchen with BIG MOMMA"

"Very pleasant staff clean restaurant. The fried fish and chicken reminded me of my mom's it was very comforting and delicious seasoned excellently and fried very crispy while still being very juicy. That's the way you do chicken and fish!The potato salad was also very tasty as well as the macaroni and cheese was creamy and tasted of grilled cheese flavors the noodles are very large elbow noodles so lots of cheese can get in between them it was very good I enjoyed this whole dinner and can't wait to have more"

"I had a home project at Triple s steel down the street and decided to make a stop here. I am so glad I did. I ordered the number 12 which included one piece of fish, six oysters, french fries and a salad. That cost less than seven dollars (Jan 2022 prices with inflation!). This would have been much more at Boudreaux's and it taste much better than Boudreaux's. The fish was perfectly fried, not too greasy. The oysters are plump and tasted fresh. The only downside is the hole in the wall atmosphere, which does instill a little fear in you. However after walking past all the burglar bars you are met with good service. If this place were in town I would frequent it at least once a week because I love fried seafood. I was so impatient I finished half the meal while sitting in my car."

"We decided to try this establishment for lunch today and I'm very glad we did. We got the chicken wrap and we also got a kids meal cheeseburger. The kids meal was a really good size and perfect for anybody who does not want a giant burger, and I will tell you the best thing about it where the fries they were extremely hot and greatly seasoned. we also decided to try the fried Oreos and they were off the hook. Amazing. The staff is really friendly. The ambience is cool there's things to watch on the TV and it's not a large place so we really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to try something different and quaint and small"

"JLB Eatery is what you want a local restaurant to be. It has phenomenal customer service and the food is even better. I had the chance to eat a burger from here during a work luncheon that won me over instantly. The fresh baked hamburger buns are to die for. They are so soft and delectable. On to the food. JLB Cheese Burger. 9/101 Certified Angus Beef patty, mayonnaise, cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and onions on a fresh baked bun. The burger was great, the veggies were crisp and fresh. The bun was like wow. So good. Crazy Burger. 9/102 Certigied Angus Beef patties, 2 Slices Cheese, Mayo, Lettuce, Pickles, Bacon. Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, and Thousand Island Dressing.Ok, the burger was better than the first burger I had but the first one was still great. With the two patties it was quite monstrous. Loved the crispy char on the edges of the burger. Way to big to eat and go back to work comfortably but I did and paid the price. Oh well it was worth it. Go give them a try if you haven't, it's a really great place that will give you awesome food and service."

"The food is flavorful. The food is made to order. So your food will be hot when you get it. We ordered a six piece of catfish with red beans and rice. The fish is not a whole fillet beware. It's literally a half of the half. For instance you are only getting three normal pieces when you order a six piece. They do have cocktail sauce if you ask for it. I don't eat tartar so this is great for me."
