"The Yelpers have spoken! This place is amazing and the ice cream flavors are super tasty! The service is friendly and samples are offered with a smile. Almond pound cake is divine, but any flavor you try is sure to be amazing and M+H! Definitely (without a doubt) a top 3 ice cream spot in H-town."
"It was really good! We had the mango ice with a side of fresh mango and boba. It's smooth and creamy and just filled with mango flavor. We shared the smaller one but should have gotten the bigger one because it was so good! The staff was very friendly and kind. Service was fast. It was hard to find a clean table but it was maybe 45 min before closing so I get it. I will definitely be back."

"What drew me to Connie's was that they offer hourly fresh custard. I came here with 3 other people for a sweet treat. I was surprised they had a drive thru. We parked and walked up though. I got their Pretzel Caramel Concrete. A portion was rather large and I definitely was not able to finish it. The salty pretzels gave it a nice salty and sweet taste. And I liked that the crunch of the pretzel gave my custard an interesting contrast. I enjoyed it except it was way too sweet for my liking. I also was able to try their Butter Pecan Concrete which was also good. But their vanilla concrete in general is way too sweet for me. This spot doesn't have an in door area to sit down or anything. They just have their drive thru and a few benches out in front to enjoy your treat, which is fine. Our orders came out pretty quickly. The staff was really nice. I do want to come back and try their malts."
"This place is a great dessert staple conveniently located in the Dun Huang Plaza. Though they've waned a bit in popularity throughout the years as new dessert concepts enter the competitive Houston Chinatown market, they're still a solid fun dessert option. While they offer drinks and other goodies, the star of the show here is their shaved snowflake ice mountains. Here you get your choice of flavored milk ice and toppings. A small is plenty for one or two, and the large for two or three. I enjoy the fact that this dessert is not too heavy, and you can customize the toppings to include fresh fruit for a slightly healthier option."
"We did a day trip to Houston and found this spot for some ice cream/gelato. After sampling a few flavors, I got a scoop of the pecan baklava and the chocolate hazelnut crunch. We all loved the pecan baklava, so that was the crowd favorite. I like that they top of the scoops with a piece of a waffle cone."
"I'm in love with Bingsu after being introduced to it last year from a friend. Whenever I go to a new location, I love searching to hopefully find a place. I was in luck during my visit to Houston. Snowy Dessert Bar did not disappoint. The Bingsu was amazing. This dessert is like no other. It's hard to explain but just know your taste buds will be super happy with the light refreshing snowy milk topped with fruit or other decadent treats. I truly wish I had this in my city because I would definitely be there often."
"Nestled in a side unit within Sterling Plaza, Bae has answered the calls of soft serve lovers everywhere since their hyped debut several years ago. The recent heat waves have resulted in good business for the frozen treats industry and my visits to Bae have been more frequent than ever.Their arrival has also set off a string of similar bizes that also specialize in trendy, hip, (albeit) franchised spots in the same vicinity. The visibility for Bae would have been my initial concern but the crowds have been flocking to the area still and their reputation has stayed consistent overall. The place is small but has some communal seating and fairly clean bathrooms. The contemporary, IG friendly decor is a hit with the millennial and gen z crowd, and families are definitely getting in on the action as well. Ventilation is good for obvious reasons (#1) and it's become a good post meal dessert option. As for the ice cream itself, I think they definitely have one of the better soft serve options in town. Unfortunately like most soft serve, it doesn't travel well and should be consumed on the spot. I have liked all of their signature combos, particularly anything ube and even something simple like vanilla is still fire.Service hasn't always been their forte, but they're young and get the job done. I appreciate that they have a loyalty card and I also like that they aren't pushy about what ice creams to get. I do wish they were better about cleaning the tables. Of course, none of the items come cheap, but this is the wrong place for anything affordable dessert wise. Overall, I like Bae. I've become a regular and I always know what to expect whenever I come here: Good, temp reducing, satisfying, soft serve ice cream. ___________(#1) Can't have the ice cream melting now ..."
"Came here after dinner for my date night with my fiancé. We were pleasantly surprised when they asked the entire room who wanted to play a game. Without asking me, my fiancé volunteered me. I had to catch a scoop of any ice cream with toppings in it into a large bowl to get free ice cream for myself or catch it in a smaller cup to get free ice cream for both myself and my fiancé. I wanted a challenge and went for the smaller cup! There was a fun count down and I ended up catching it! My fiancé got Ube without any topping and I got Belgian chocolate with toffee bits. The flavor was amazing!! I especially love Amy's bc I went to Austin for undergrad and it brings a sense of nostalgia. The only downside is the ice cream has a low melting point and didn't hold its consistency very well or for very long. It mostly melted by the time we were finishing up our ice cream. Overall an amazing experience! We will be back for another surprise hopefully!"
"Why 5 stars? Because I couldn't have been more satisfied with this ice cream. --- --- ---The dessert options at POST were aplenty, and I honestly thought I would end up getting boba or maybe even some banana pudding from another vendor. But the table we sat at had a perfect view of the Flower & Cream menu, which was staring me in the face the entire time I was eating lunch. Eventually, I gave in to the hypnotic chants I was hearing in my head and surrendered to the ice cream. The decider for me was the fact that they had a cookie butter flavor. I like cookie butter 100% of the time. Cookie butter is never bad. Flavors like chocolate or salted caramel can have a lot of variance. Cookie butter is just always the same, delightful treat. I couldn't decide on what other flavor I wanted to try, because I could have gone without about ten of them. I didn't want to be embarrassing and ask to sample half of the case, so I just went with toffee coffee cake. Blind. It ended up being pretty enjoyable. And like always, the cookie butter was its typical, heavenly self.Cheers to Flower & Cream -- I wish you were not an hour away from my house!"
"Cute lol & pop shop owned by locals. Love how even though it's mostly high school students who work here, they are professional, clean, enthusiastic and have a passion. I've tried their grilled cheese sandwiches and it's one of the best I've had. Their milkshakes are phenomenal as well. Honestly you can not go wrong with anything here."

It must have been the owner working because he was very friendly. We order just the plain vanilla shave ice so we can see how the base shaved ice taste and it was sweet. More sweet than some places but we liked it. We added bananas to compliment the sweetness. We will be back to try other flavors.

There's no Culver's in Cypress, but there's a Connies! I'm a sucker for a good turtle sundae (which chocolate custard instead of vanilla) and Connies always delivers, offering salty pecans, smooth custard, and friendly quick service...every visit.Although their standard Sunday size offers more custard than I can finish, I'm no quitter, I give it a go everytime! Make sure to check out their happy hour and specials as they clearly value creative, sweet treats! Connie's is such a treat...literally! Worth every calorie!

I'm amazed at how they are able to make flavored shaved ice. We chose almond flavor with mochi and condensed milk. Ordering was a breeze with a convenient order form to make your selections. The order came out rather quickly as they were quite busy. The ice itself was packed with flavor and went well with the chewy mochi. If you don't like super sweet desserts, I would leave out the condensed milk. I found it too sweet with it on.The thai tea was way too sweet for my liking. I waited for my ice to melt and then it was just right. Overall, great dessert place to go with friends. There are plenty of tables but I can see that it can be quite tight if you go during a busy hour.

Cute little gelato shop. Lots and lots of cool flavors. I tried the blood orange, so tangy & refreshing just what the doctor ordered. Strawberry - just what you'd expect. Nice strawberries mixed through and through. There are about 5 bar stools on the wall of the wall of this quaint shop. And there are 3 metal tables that seat 4 each outside. It's a nice spot to go to late I'm the evening while it's still 96 degrees to cool off.

Love the simple, clean, and neat decor of the dessert place. Staff were friendly and helpful in answering my questions. I got the Injeolmi and red bean bingsu, strawberry mango bingsu, red bean taiyaki, plain taiyaki, and The Pinky. The small size is perfect for one. Both bingsu had very soft and smooth texture. The ice melted in my mouth almost instantly. The injeolmi and red bean bingsu had soybean powder coating which I love. Other than the top of the bingsu, inside the injeolmi and red bean bingsu, there was a small heap of red bean paste too! The strawberry and mango bingsu was delicious. I got sour mango but I didn't mind at all since the rest of the bowl was sweet. The taiyaki wasn't what I thought it would be. I expected it to be soft, but it came crispy, flaky, and sweet. It almost tasted like Ritz Apple Strudel pastry if you have tried one. The Pinky is a strawberry milk tea. It tasted good just like any strawberry milk tea should be. I would definitely be back to try other bingsu.

One of the newer Baes in my life is this trendy ice cream shops in Chinatown. You really have to be looking for it as it's not front facing to Bellaire. They've been around for several years, but it's still always popping up on social media for their colorful soft serve offerings. When I came on a Friday night, the place was poppin' with mostly a younger crowd including the staff. The line moved quick and customer service was just ok. Their specialty here is soft serve with unique flavors twisted together to make a beautiful creation. I think the flavors rotate for the most part with a few sticking around longer than others. They have unique flavors combinations like mango and strawberry, fruity pebbles and cinnamon toast crunch, charcoal pineapple and vanilla, etc. I like chocolate and the only flavor combination I saw that day was Koo Koo for Earl which was a Cocoa Puffs and Earl Grey Tea combination. I got in a chocolate cone, but you can also have it served in a cup or waffle bowl. I chose no toppings, but they have a bunch of topping to choose from including unique items like edible hearts and 24k gold leaf flakes. Go ahead, you know you want to do it! You know we had to take some pics for the 'gram but dug right in after. I thought the ice cream was fantastic. The Cocoa Puffs flavor was definitely there and it really brought me back to my childhood. The tea flavor was present too and somehow the combination of cocoa and tea really worked. We all enjoyed what we got.I definitively enjoyed what I got here and can see myself coming back if in that specific shopping complex. Otherwise I shall let the hip and cool kids have it for now!

"03.19.2024 - Made it to PopFancy in Houston Texas - what a cute place - tried their Lychee Cherry Blossom Breath of Love - so refreshing and delicious. The drink brings you to a place to imagine walking under cherry blossoms in the spring time. The drink is so pretty and elegant. It was very refreshing and crisp. Walking into Popfancy was also an experience. The decor was all in Anime and I recall that week we went in was a Demon Slayer theme. I take it that they change themes on a regular basis. I recall on the phone that they get pretty packed on the weekends that you will need to reserve. It depends on the demand and popularity of the time. Their handcrafted sodas are very impressive. In all honesty, the shopping strip has other drinks to try like Boba next door. I didn't want to try boba drinks since I know I can get that anywhere. But handcrafted sodas is different. I wanted to leave Houston saying that I tried something new. No regrets. This was an experience."
"A cozy coffee shop with plenty of parking in a big strip mall. I went here at around 8:30AM on a weekday because my power went out and I needed somewhere to work with caffeine.Only 12oz drinks are served in a cup for dining in. I got a 16oz cappuccino that I appreciate they still did latte art despite it having a cover. My drink was served pretty quickly. There was a pleasant, almost nutty flavor that I enjoyed. There are two booths, a few tables of various sizes, and a sofa seating area. Most tables are near outlets. I had plenty of space to work and the WiFi was sufficient."
"I had a recent mind blowing encounter with some custard in West Texas and have been craving something similar since. After lunch nearby for Father's Day with the fam, we decided to come here for some dessert. This is a locally owned business located in a strip center in West Pearland. Since we had a larger party with us, we called ahead to make sure they had indoor seating. Majority of the restaurant is work space with small area for customers. The seating consisted of a few benches inside. There was some outside benches a little further down from the Rollie's, but I'm not sure if it's shared with them or not. We were the only people inside when it was our turn to order. There were two employees working that looked less than enthused to be there. Any questions we had were directed to the menu. Customer service goes a long way in my book, and it was lacking that day. We ordered a variety of different things and they all came out staggered which was to be expected. I ordered the hot fudge brownie sundae for myself with chocolate custard. It looked promising at first glance. I went in on the brownie first and it was on the dry side and way to crumbly, but tasted fine. The custard at first was nice and smooth as expected, but then I would get random bites of ice. It kind of threw off the velvety consistency that I love with custard. I also noticed the absence of chopped peanuts that was listed as a topping. I was half way in already so I let it slide. No other complaints on the other items ordered. Overall, my sweet tooth was satisfied, but between the service and not getting my full order, I'm not sure I would rush back anytime soon. I'm guessing it was just an off day and they have alot more to offer."
"3.5 starsMango with black glutinous rice is one of my favorite Asian desserts, so I had to try it here. (On the menu it's item A12 "Snow White Juice with Mango and Black Rice") It was pretty good but lacked some oomph- I think it would have been better if the rice was a little sweeter. Overall not bad but I'd probably go somewhere else the next time I want that dish. Coco Mille Crepe Cake (item S8): The flavor was great but the Mille crepe layers were a little thick so the overall texture could have been better. But I still ate the entire slice because the flavor was enjoyable."
"In SoCal, there's tons of options for dairy-free, and I was worried I'd have to make a cake myself at home. Thank goodness a place like this exists in Houston! This was exactly what I needed for my little one's 2nd birthday. We got an Chocolate & Vanilla ice cream cake, which is made from a coconut base. It was so pretty and delicious! We've also tried their beanie bars and super muffins. The price is a little up there but the quality is there. With all the food allergies in kids these days, this place is a diamond in the rough. Thank you for existing so our kids and all of those with food allergies can eat what everyone else eats for once / on their birthdays at the very least! I would for sure be back more often if it were closer."
"Came to Booza with a friend to try traditional Palestinian ice cream! They have different types of frozen delicacies like gelato and sherbets but the booza is on the far left. I tried the Turkish Coffee flavor, pistachio, and sweet cream. I opted for a small cup of the sweet cream and Turkish Coffee--delicious! If I'm in the area I will definitely return"
"Cute little shop in the East End that's been on my radar for far too long. I don't have much of a sweet tooth - as much as their frozen treats and candies of my childhood sound attractive... but what brought me in was their handmade facemasks imported from various parts of Mexico. I dropped in to show my support during Latinx Heritage Month, and also buy a gift for my mom (and myself). When I dropped in, they were under renovation with plans to expand to the adjacent suite. Best wishes on the expansion. I'll pop in the next time I'm craving a paleta, dulces, or ice cream concha!"
"A great, homestyle restaurant in Old Town Spring. They have an extensive menu but breakfast-to-lunch can be an awkward time to enter. Still, the staff are super friendly and attentive.I got a veggie sandwich with a side of potato salad, and the meal was incredibly filling. They stuffed the sandwich with as many fillings as possible! They also make a great iced coffee - mine had just the right amount of sweetness! My dad also forgot his credit card and we called them later in the day to see if he could come by and pick it up. He wasn't able to make it until three days later, and they had it for him, so kudos to the staff!"
"Are you reddys for some Freddys?Custard isn't good in Texas. So it's nice to be able to get some, albeit average, custard here.Very nice custard, but very standard burgers. The custard is only good by Houston standards. If you compare it to Rita's, which is an import from Philadelphia, or perhaps compare it to some of the best ones of the Midwest and the Northeast, then it would probably be scoring a two or three, but just by Houston standards I'll give it a four. For the burgers it's more like a two or three."
"We just went in for coffee this morning, after we got our cookie from them during the Rosenberg Cookie Walk Downtown. Everyone was kind and engaging. Watched as the young man behind the counter skillfully made a banana split. We've eaten there in the past, and will eat there again."
"Why 5 stars? Because shaved ice is almost always 5-stars from me. --- --- ---I really walked away from this experience wishing only one thing was different: Blue Bell ice cream would have been better. Everything else? Pretty perfect. To start off, we were happy to see a drive-thru. On the menu, my eye went right to the premium items and I was instantly sold by Coconut Cream Pie. I ordered mine with ice cream in it, which is how we came to understand that it was soft-serve and not Blue Bell. But aside from that, this really tasted like it was high-quality shaved ice. We don't live super close by, but when we are in the area, I would happily return many times in the future."
""A life without anything good is bad" is their motto here and I completely agree. I find good here, so I have been hitting Van Leeuwen up anytime I am near one. This particular location is the closest to my part of town and easy to get to. It is usually our go to after dinner spot for something sweet. I have only ever come later in the evening so parking is plentiful but metered. I honestly don't know the meter policy here so park at your own risk or throw some money into it. The parking garage nearby is free for 2 hours. Customer service has always been on point here which always keeps me coming back. What I like about this place is their unique flavors. They push the bar with some of their limited releases such as the Hidden Valley Ranch or Kraft Mac & Cheese flavors. I'm an adventurous eater, but I will leave that one for you ranch and cheese lovers. I'm also a creature of habit when it comes to ice cream. Cookies and Cream all day for me. This place has made me curious and has me ordering new things every time I come. Don't get me wrong, I still get the cookies and cream in addition to something new. My newest discovery and probably my fave here is the Praline Butter Cake. It has pralines along with pieces of brown butter cake and it is divine. Don't sleep on some of their fruity flavors or even their vegan options. They let you sample as much as you want before committing to anything. There truly is something to please everyone here.Run, don't walk to any of their many locations and thank me later!"
"+Solid flavor selections (with some choices I haven't encountered elsewhere). +Ice cream had a nice texture.+Vegan options available.+Easy parking in a lot.-I liked that the flavors weren't overly sweet but they were maybe a bit too subtle, actually. I went with the Coconut Thai Tea and the Earl Grey Lemon. I did try some of my boyfriend's Maple Butter Pecan and that was perfect. -Service was a bit slow. Line built up. I'd definitely come back and try other flavors and maybe experiment with toppings."

That's Barbi. We love our Rolled Ice Cream places (when they are done right), and this is done just right. This was a surprisingly good rolled ice cream place right off of Highway 290 just outside of Beltway 8 when you're heading out of Houston, NW-bound side. It wasn't hard to find, and Barbi was very skeptical going in - after all, these places keep popping up in malls and many of them aren't very good. But this one is.It has 2 locations, including a busier one (I think) in Katy, but this is the one we've been to and loved. On the inside, it looks very much geared towards 10 year olds, with the walls covered in Post-it notes, but very cute nevertheless. It's small and quaint and feels local, not corporate. But the biggest surprise is the product. The ice cream is perfectly made, and actually amazing. That's the last thing I was expecting. For world class ice cream to be made in a little Suburban place like this, I was a little shocked. So massive kudos to them for great service and lovely ice cream, and we will definitely be back. I have no qualms whatsoever in giving them five stars for this delicious product. And of course Barbi looked like a 5-star goddess on the day we came here, but when does she not?Now if there's something that gets me personally in a frenzy, it's her.Anyway I have some more pix of Barbi to post and then I have to go hang out with Barbi and hit on her all evening since that's what she requires of anyone she's dating and that's what I'd rather be doing anyway. In other words I'm off to get into a sleazy frenzy."
"I absolutely adore French macarons. I had quite the addiction for some time, but I have been to rehab and I was almost recovered. Mostly because it's been awhile since I found any that were truly remarkable, but I've fallen off the wagon in the sweetest way!I wanted a cheat meal treat, so I headed to my trusty Yelp and it didn't let me down. This little bakery is about a 15-20 minute ride from my house and it's so worth the drive (although I hear they're available on DoorDash and maybe other delivery apps as well). We were greeted immediately upon walking into the store and given time to peruse their offerings with no rush. Upon inquiring on popular items, my husband took their suggestion of the chocolate cupcake in a cup, which is a fantastic idea BTW, but I have a standard list of favorite macarons that I must try at every macaron establishment. Those are the rose, honey lavender, and usually the tiramisu or caramel if available. I chose the former three, and they were all delicious. Delicate, fresh, moist, the perfect texture, strong flavors, but not too sweet...I could go on, but you get the point. They are also very nicely sized. If you're a macaron fan, you must try these. We will be back for our next indulgence!"
"The ice cream and service will take you out of this world! The ambiance will place you into another galaxy far away!My family and I came for a desert after dinner and playing some Top Golf while visiting the NASA Space Center!Their nacho looking ice cream is something unique for an ice cream place! It definitely was delicious but even my kiddos couldn't finish it all. Which was a shocker.I bought the ice cream Mexican soda with abuelita's ice cream. It was very delicious and smooth!Inside it's pretty simple and not overloaded with decorations. They accept digital payments here so that's always a plus in my book!"
"This was really good! We finally tried it and really enjoyed our scoops of ice cream! They have lots of pop flavors they looked good!"
"Nice, friendly spot with AMAZING CHICKEN and the waffles... omg! The chicken was hot and fresh! We even had beignets to sample while we waited for our order. Now as a Louisiana native, I'm super bougie about beignets, but HONEY THESE WERE DELICIOUS! Somebody's grandma gave up her recipe and I thank her for it. I was full and hardly about to finish a 2 piece and waffle, so good luck if you order more!!Chicken- 5/5Waffle 5/5 The apple/cinnamon waffle (thank me later) Service 5/5Environment 4/5 ( The ladies were nice but it was HOT AS HECK when we walked in. If it gets that hot while they're frying chicken, the owner needs to get those ladies some more air.)"

Acana. People think I've had work done (on my ice cream, so to speak), but I have Natural Ice Cream if you know what I mean.Definitely some of the greatest Paletas and ice cream we have ever tried, and it just takes paletas to the next level. I can't quite describe how amazing they are - it's just too good to be true. There are Mexican dessert shops and then there is this place. They kind of ruined paletas for us because we really like Mexican popsicles and we get them all the time, and a lot of places we think make them really well, but then we tried this place, and by comparison to this place there are really no good paleta shops. That's how good they are. We're talking about some of the very very best paletas that you will ever eat. The Mexicans really know how to make their fruit Popsicles with chunks of fruit and delicious fresh ingredients, and this is the perfect example of just how good they can be.They have amazing ice cream products too, but it's the fruity Paletas that are always the standout here. They're a little more expensive than you probably imagined and will cost you $3 or so for each one, but it's well worth it, and they are otherworldly in terms of taste. It's run by a very friendly family, and they're looking to expand to a couple more locations, and we can only hope that all of their locations will have these incredible amazing standards for desserts.I'm going for paletas, you can come, do you WANNA?You said you maybe would, so decide, are you GONNA?Popsicles might be fun, but Paletas are FUNNEREspecially when you get them here at MICHOACANA!WHAT!"
"Had a wonderful lunch with my grandsons after their football games. We were greeted promptly, and waited to order at the counter. Our food took a bit, but I didn't mind, as it's made to order. The ambiance is casual. There's a tv for entertainment or keeping up with the game... We enjoyed our food! The chicken was really good and my blueberry waffle! Lord! I inhaled it! Oh! I had a cup of coffee also, that was smooth and delicious! I'll definitely be back!"
"Talk about beating the heat. Jeni's Spendid Ice Creams is a treat you won't forget. Their unique and buttery flavors melts in your mouth. Not sure what you want? Try a sample. From the moment I walked in, the smell of vanilla cones being made and the warm "hello welcome in" from the team made me feel comfortable. And trust me, on a hot day like that, you can imagine how eager people are to get the ice cream and go. I was not rushed and was encouraged to try more flavors if needed. Plus, the location is hard to beat. Shopping stores all around and a play area with grass for kids to kick the ball around. Perfectly situated among restaurants as well so you can get dessert before or after your meal."
"Are you ready, Freddy? They sell some excellent custard way up where fresh dairy is available in Wisconsin and Minnesota and Michigan and even Ohio and parts of New York State, but around here not so much. There's so little custard around town that I have to give 4 stars to this place just for serving it. But having said that they could do a much better job, and the food is definitely not a reason to come here."
