"Ok, so Ernesto saved the day!!! Our sons 21 bday is today and we wanted a fancy / fun themed cake for him to devour during the Super Bowl. We didn't want to get him just a plain sheet cake even though he wouldn't have cared. It was 7pm 1/28/18, I browsed Yelp, saw his work & messaged him with some pics of cake ideas. He messaged me back within no time, we took care of the design, cost and he even delivered it in person today. The cake looks exactly like the picture and my son is cool as a cucumber but he was like okay... lol. It's perfect. Lol..I just wanted to take a few pics before he cut into it. Well I managed to get a few pics and the cake tastes as great as I looks!! He is such a nice guy and my husband and I will be telling everyone to use their services."

"I found about this place through an app, I was open to try a new place, I wasn't on a mission for anything in particular but taking a walk down the "wild side" and well I was not disappointed at all.I walked in and couldn't help to notice the beautiful esthetics of the shop. It was so colorful, very picturesque with a greenery and floral wall that had their neon business name and the exquisite shabby chic furniture that gave it that European small tea shop vibe that added the cherry on top.Walking into the bakery made it even more pleasant as I was greeted by the sweetest (no pun intended) employee which I am guessing is the owner. She was so kind to me and all her other guests, her personality truly matches her business model even after closing time was fast approaching.Before I move onto the food items, I used a 3rd party that gives the business control of what to try and what came in my "surprise bag" the following items were in my bag: Ropa vieja with rice and beans, beef and cheese empanada, and a pink frosted, pineapple filled, yellow cake pastelito. Which to be fair, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! The ropa vieja was made of either beef or pork with rice, why am I unsure about the protein? Because my daughter devouered it leaving me the scraps, but even the scraps were enough to leave me wanting some more. The meat was nice and tender, the rice cooked to perfection, and the beans added the perfect touch. The empanada is what I was mostly left thanks to my daughter, it was filled with a generous amount of cheese and beef, enough to get me almost full. The empanada was quite large and plump so there was plenty to enjoy in my opinion, regardless I was VERY satisfied.Lastly, the pastelito was perfect to end our small pre-dinner snack! The frosting was very light and fluffy, the bread was perfectly moist but that pineapple filling...O-M-G It was so tasty! The filling was not too runny and not too sticky, not too overly sweet but made to where all the layers added a perfect balance in every bite.Antojitos Dominicanos is a solid "W" in the area! I am very happy to know that there is another local bakery that breaks me out of my usual places that is able to satisfy every sense. I may not be Dominican but I know what good food is. This place is truly a masterpiece, stop by and enjoy it!"

"I contacted her for my wedding and she responded initially asking about about my budget, etc. I responded about my budget and told her what desserts I would like and wanted to know if she could make them and how many I could get for my budget. I never got a response back most likely because my budget was too low for her, so maybe she felt like it wasn't worth her time. I felt like it was rude and unprofessional for her to leave me hanging like that. She could have at least responded and informed me that she did not want my business."

There are lots of seating area and bigger cake displays with more deli choices. I was shopping at Sugar Park Plaza across street and noticed the sign, nice and big. Red Berries Bakeshop is smacked between Cici's Pizza and Xfinity Store. I can't resist of coming in. Wow. The friendly employees greeted me as I walked in. That was how I remember Red Berries Bakeshop. I have been to its sister store Hot Breads Bakers on Hillcroft Street. Yeah. I like this one better.As I was contemplating with what to eat for lunch, a helpful customer suggested to try their panini. So, I ordered Masala Aloo Panini. While waiting, I also bought 2 boxes of cookies because of the buy one gets one for 50% off holiday offer. My sweet tooth was not ended yet. I also ordered a cake shot - cake and topping in a shot glass. I used to remember all the pastries taste and ingredients. I know my favorite is the eggless Pista Cookies. One of the boxes of cookies was assorted. I don't know their names, but I know few of them has Indian spices. Mmm... So Yummy.It took about 10 minutes for Panini to arrive. I could never imagine having a meatless panini with spicy potatoes before. The cheese and spicy sauce just melt in my mouth with the toasty bun. Anyway, to finish it off, I ate that cake shot. Ha! What a square meal.If you are in the area, make sure to stop by. Oh, I can't recommend any particular dish because I will tell you to order everything."

"I had the best experience with Tandis at Sweetland Cakery. I ordered a cake to feed 500 for a grand opening event that I was planning. She helped me to design a custom 3D cake that wow'd the entire 1,000 guests plus the President and owner. Not only was it absolutely breathtaking, but also very tasty. The cake was moist, rich in taste and extremely detailed. Tandis is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. She was timely, and under promised but over delivered with the quality. The picture does it no justice. The cake was a showstopper. She even suprised me with adding a rotating feature to the vehicle at the top. It spun 360 degrees the entire event. Because the king cake's make it worth the trip. --- --- ---My in-laws tend to bring us various treats from Montgomery Bakehouse from time to time, and the main event of said treats is usually a King Cake. We always enjoy the King Cake, except for the fact that we can't stop eating it over the course of several days, and shockingly, it is not on our meal plan. We recently actually stopped into the bakery itself for the first time ever and were initially overwhelmed with all of the tasty looking options. Unfortunately, we tried a couple of things and were pretty underwhelmed, which is usually the case for anything else my in-laws bring to us. We were especially disappointed by the brownie, which legitimately had the texture of rubber. The space is pretty enormous for a bakery, so they do have a ton of different options to choose from, but I would just stick to the King Cake here and skip the rest of it."

"I've never been to a panaderia before nor have I ever even tried a Mexican pastry, but I've always been intrigued. I noticed this little place in my neighborhood and decided to check it out. I'm glad I did. There was a wide assortment of breads and pastries that you can pick out with a pair of tongs and place on the available metal trays. Everything looked freshly made. I ended up buying four different sweets, an empanada cajeta, which from what I understand is a goat milk caramel empanada, a chocolate concha, which is a conch shaped bread, some kind of pineapple Danish and another bread that I don't know the name of. Everything was delicious. Again, this was only my first time trying Mexican pastries so I'm not sure how they would compare to similar products from other places. However, they tasted fresh and most importantly to me, they were not overly sweet. The chocolate concha didn't really taste like chocolate but it wasn't a big deal to me. I would definitely visit again to try some of their other offerings."
