"My sweet tooth was having craving, and I needed to get it satisfied. So while my wife and her friends were purchasing some boba drinks for themselves nearby, I browsed the strip mall to look for a bakery. I did see a few bakeries before spotting Kamalan. Two of them were closed, while the other one was not calling to me. If you know what I mean.The first thing that I noticed when I walked into Kamalan Bakery were the egg tarts sitting behind the front counter. I knew right then that those are what I needed to satiate my sweet tooth. Did not take a really detailed look at their other baked goods because I was in a rush.Egg Tarts looked yummy, and they did not disappoint. 4 stars!Portugal Custard Tarts were even better. Yummy! 4.5 stars!!Prices were reasonable. Service was good too. I recommend Kamalan Bakery if you find yourself in this area of Houston, Texas. Enjoy!!"

"How I love Liz let me count the ways!!!I was looking for an amazing baker for my daughters 4th birthday party. I wanted cupcakes and a cake but also something unique. I called many places who came up on Yelp first as well as went to Crave first to check them out. I was not impressed with either and kept searching and that's when I came across Zeapod cakery.I called them and was greeted by Liz and she was so nice as well as immediately assured me she could meet my needs. I saw a pic of the cupcake pops and I knew I had to have them.I asked her for a tasting and she let me know they meaning herself and her husband bake out of their home and they don't have tastings, but I could come by and grab a couple flavors of the cake pops for I believe $3.00 each. I headed straight to her house and met the lovely couple.They welcomed me into their home/bakery which you can smell sweet cakes being made with love before you even enter the establishment. She showed me a cake that they just finished and it was amazing. And then I tasted the cakes, Oh my goodness beyond moist, fresh, and real homemade taste not like most beautiful cakes that taste like crap.I placed my order for 2 dozen cake pops in Vanilla/birthday cake and Strawberry. I also ordered a small cake to go with her Jungle book theme which the flavor was Salted caramel for the adults. What I appreciated she didn't charge me for the two pops that I came to taste since I placed my order that day, what service!We chatted for awhile, I paid and then I was on my way..I ordered custom printed stickers to be put on my daughters cake pops and Liz let me drop them off to her and she added them to each one. I picked up my order right on time and was blown away by their craftsmanship. Their products start with being made and baked with pure love and then decorated with such artistry. The prices are beyond reasonable for the quality you get. I paid a little over $150.00 for everything and it was worth every penny.Do not go anywhere else support this beautiful marriage and amazing business!"

"Sweets galore is this place and they are quite the treat!I had family coming to visit for Christmas weekend which also coincided with my niece's birthday. She was turning 2 and loves cupcakes like I love tacos. YELP pulled up this place which is near where I live and they can do to-go orders same or next day. So I called them and put in an order of a dozen cupcakes. They had 6 flavors available (classic white, white chocolate raspberry, peppermint chocolate, regular chocolate, cinnamon, and gingerbread) so we went with two of each. Stopping in the next day, I picked up my order and while adding a trio of cookie sandwiches (snickerdoodle, sugar w/ vanilla, and chocolate chip peanut butter) and a floral glitter candle (cause 2 year olds like those candles).My niece was very happy with her cupcake as we gave her the peppermint chocolate (I think), she devoured the frosting first before eating the cake itself which indicates she loved it. My family and I enjoyed the remaining cupcakes although we had difficulty telling which was which. Might be good to label them upon packing them since I'm not a cupcake expert except for the tasting part. Additionally, the cookie sandwiches were amazing. Since I purchased them, I called dibs on the chocolate chip peanut butter; knew I picked the right one after my first bite with the choco/pb flavors of the cream and the softness of the cookie. My sister and her husband ate the remaining snickerdoodle and sugar w/vanilla which they enjoyed although they wished they had what I had. "What an amazing experience. M.E.B. Cakes catered to all my needs and relieved one of the bigger concerns I had while starting the wedding planning process. We had a couple of meetings to discuss design and they brought our vision to life. First meeting was for brainstorming and the second was to look at some sketches.
