Nick P. "I came here once with my family because I was in the mood for good Vietnamese food. I was coming from Chicago and I knew there is a big Vietnamese population in Houston and surrounding areas. This place was highly rated and it did not disappoint. It was very easy to find parking since they have a good size lot. Service was superb, they took good care of us. We ordered a variety of dishes but I did not taste all of them. We ordered crabby cream rolls, Fu Manchung wings, pho-licious, vermicelli boom cha y'all, and hot and mild wontonic. There was another dish but I forgot the name. Everything was tasty and filling. We actually came here when the old owners were still running this place. Quality wise I'm not sure how it is now but I hope it's the same."

It was hard to find a clean table but it was maybe 45 min before closing so I get it. I will definitely be back."

Patty C. "This place is a great dessert staple conveniently located in the Dun Huang Plaza. Though they've waned a bit in popularity throughout the years as new dessert concepts enter the competitive Houston Chinatown market, they're still a solid fun dessert option. While they offer drinks and other goodies, the star of the show here is their shaved snowflake ice mountains. Here you get your choice of flavored milk ice and toppings. A small is plenty for one or two, and the large for two or three. I enjoy the fact that this dessert is not too heavy, and you can customize the toppings to include fresh fruit for a slightly healthier option."

We've been to Long Coffee twice around 10amish, and the drive thru line was pretty fast. There were maybe 1 or 2 cars in front of us. Love that drive thru option, so we can quickly move on to our next destination. Let's talk drinks! *Cafe sua da: If you want something creamy and strong, get this classic Vietnamese iced coffee. *Hot salted caramel latte: The latte had a nice taste and was not overly sweet. They also offer this in decaf for those wondering. *Royal artichoke: One of the popular herbal drinks if you're not feeling like coffee that day. It's refreshing with added toppings. I didn't get a chance to go inside, but they do have a patio outside. We were eyeing the popcorn chicken, but their kitchen does not open till 11am. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and will be back the next time we're in town."

Full disclosure, we were about 20 minutes away, but I still convinced the wife that we were "close enough" to stop by. She loves boba, but was not super into the idea initially. Eventually, I wore her down and we drove way out of our way to enjoy some deliciousness. I initially opted for a limited time holiday shake, but ended up changing my order because I wanted to stick with something I definitely knew I'd love: the taro coconut smoothie. And indeed, I absolutely loved it. It was perfect. My wife ordered a thai tea, and while she can be pretty picky about those, she enjoyed hers as well.I can't say we'll be back often because we don't live nearby and don't spend much time in this area, but this is a great option that we'll re-visit if we find ourselves in this 'hood. Jando S. "Dun Huang Plaza has become a pseudo epicenter of bubble tea in recent years, housing nearly a dozen boba spots that are in constant competition with each other. Yum Cha faces Bellaire Blvd on the outer edge of the plaza, and has been one of my more reliable spots to quench my never-ending thirst for milk tea.I appreciate the literalness of the name (#1) and love a lot of what they offer. For starters, the interior is on the nicer side, more so than some of the other bubble tea spots. It's bright, somewhat spacious, and has a quality lounge space for groups or for folks looking to knock out a little work. The WiFi is on point and it always smells good in here. Bonus points for a clean bathroom as well and the very eye-catching IG wall. The service has been a slight lowlight at times, but thankfully they have a self-service kiosk to make things easier. I have been fond of their milk tea choices and especially anything with cheese foam. Their fruit teas have been a hit with folks, especially the supreme strawberry and grapefruit. The passion fruit is a sleeper, as is the peach oolong.Parking can be problematic since Dun Huang is perpetually busy, however, I've always managed to find a spot parking inside and not directly in front of the store. There is always a good, young crowd here, and I am likely to be chillin with the WiFi or getting a handful of drinks for takeout.__________(#1) 飲茶 (Yum Cha): to drink tea in Cantonese."

In fact, I would dare say this is one of the best bubble tea options in Katy period. The decor is trendy and modern, and I especially love the massive wall mural of the deer logo. Seating is limited but the place is clean (#2). There is self service (cold) water and free WiFi to boot. It's a real pleasure to see the staff work so efficiently behind the counter to keep things moving. The line gets long at times, but thanks to the good work of the employees, the wait isn't long.I love almost all of their drinks. Their milk teas and specialty drinks are divine. The ube strawberry brulee is sweet, and their brown sugar milk tea is a real treat. Even something like the crunchy strawberry milk tea is a sugar bomb, but in the best (and sweetest) way. For this reason, I walk out of here with a different drink every time. The boba scene in Katy is really on the up and up. I would even go as far to say that The Alley is a must visit in the area, as they are one of the only sure things in Katy Asian Town. ___________(#1) Flushing, Queens I'm looking at you.(#2) Yes, even the restrooms. Jando S. "There are some days where I'm not feeling the big chain boba and can find solace in the mom and pop feel of Tapioca Xpress. Many independent spots usually offer basic flavors but that's most certainly not the case here. TapX has done a pretty good job with their variety, but it's the customer service I appreciate the most. The place is small and the ordering area is really just a small counter. The feel is as unpretentious as it gets and they usually have a number of Vietnamese pastries out front. This isn't one of the places to sit down and chill while working on their WiFi. It's more of a takeout joint -- order the drink and perhaps a bun and move on.I appreciate their attempt at variety. They have a good mix of fruit based and milk teas, but many of their drinks tend to slant to the sweeter side. There are things like sea salt taro coco blend or cap n' crunch cream blend or even the infamous cinnamon toast crunch. I personally have enjoyed their wintermelon milk tea, as well as their lavender honey so minty drink. The classic TapX milk tea is easily one of their most popular choices but I think their Vietnamese iced coffee (caphe sua da) is super underrated. There is some limited outdoor seating and plenty of parking. They also offer a limited selection of pre-made foods ranging from fried rice to summer rolls (goi cuon). The folks behind the counter are super sweet people and generally are pretty helpful when recommending drinks."

Boba is my fave and what I was wanting so I was fine with the last half scoop of boba. The person was super kind and apologetic. The only reason I give less stars is because I think they should've monitored the boba more closely as it gets older and closer to the end because it seems as if the boba had broken down into the sauce making the sauce SO stringy with a weird mucus like texture. It was so unpleasant to drink. We honestly couldn't drink them because of how thick, stringy, sticky and mucus like the boba syrup was."

This pregnant mama had been craving for roast pork, honey pork bbq, and crispy fried noodles for the past 7 months - and y'all delivered! Fresh, flavorful, and authentic.I didn't mind spending over $100 in one sitting haha.We also had the fried tofu (disclaimer: the menu says it's "spicy" - ours was not at all, but still super yummy.). Fried chicken popcorn, and their mango lychee tea. When I tell you I danced the whole time I ate, the good Lordt knew I was as happy as a frog in a log lolololol.Crispy beef noodles - highly recommend. Noodles were perfectly crispy with a nice chew once that brown sauce hits it. Good quality on the think my sliced beef - cooked well and soft. I love how much baby bokchoy they added. The bokchoy was also cooked to perfection - still had a hefty crunch and bounce to it.Roast pork - I like to dip it in soy sauce and vinegar. We bought ours by the pound so it didn't come with rice or anything else.Honey pork was tender and perfectly seasoned - sometimes, the seasoning and honey can be overwhelming in other places, but not here. They did this well.Crunchy Fried tofu - I've had so much fried tofu in my life as tofu is legit one of my fave food in the world, but I have never had it like here were the outside is ultra crunchy but the inside is nice and soft and pillowy. It was pure sorcery and I'm all here for it! Popcorn chicken - reminds me of Taiwanese style popcorn chicken with the technique and flavor profile - and it's exactly what me and my picky 4 year old were craving for! Fresh and flavorful.Their tea, I found, was in the sweeter side. We ordered it at 30% sweetness with lychee jelly and it was still to sweet for my palette. My husband loved it though. I'm just not really a big sweets person. All in all, I'm obsessed with this place. Parking in the entire plaza can be such a pain, so if you can't find one right away, just remember there's an over flow lot on the other side (it's like a dirt road). But it's right next to Hmart, and Paris Baguette, a hundred other restaurants and businesses - you can really just eat your way through this entire plaza. My next thing to try from here will be their congee, crispy intestine, roast pork belly, and maybe a couple other dishes ... omg I'm getting hungry just thinking of what I'll eat here next!!
