"We decided to stop here on our way down the highway to another restaurant. It was early and no other diners were inside. The restaurant look clean and well laid out. We were seated immediately by a very nice and attentive waitress. The menu had a lot of variety that was typical for a place like this. We started out with the "highly requested" (as stated on the menu) fried pickles. The pickles were fried in a tempura style batter which I don't care for. They were also very greasy (the plate had grease on the bottom). My daughter ordered the 3 mini burgers that were on the lunch special for $7 (?). They were pretty good. I had a craving for the chicken fried steak for $9. It was ok. It didn't have much taste to it, but it was fairly tender. The cream gravy didn't have much of a taste to it and tasted a little watered down.Overall, I would say our experience with 36 Bar and Grill wasn't terribly bad. Since it's out of the way for us it probably won't be one of our regular stops. However, I wouldn't have a problem trying it again."
"My coworkers love to get tacos from here for the office, and they are delicious every time. I came to visit the restaurant today for the 1st time in person, and the service was pretty fast. Waitress was very attentive, and customer service was superb. Food came out fast, and my tacos were as delicious as they always are. I usually order bean and cheese and the papa con chorizo. If you order some breakfast items after 11 a.m., there is an additional charge. They provide small cups of vanilla to add to your coffee, and it sweetens it perfectly. Ask for the vanilla cups if you don't automatically get them with your coffee. The salsa for the chips had the perfect spice to it, and I could not put them down. It unfortunately ruined my appetite for my actual meal, lol"

"We moved back to TX after 20 years. We had been spoiled with incredible fried chicken in FL and VA. We got here and couldn't find ANYTHING. Until my SIL told me they liked Pete's Chicken. So we tried ready to be disappointed again. IT'S A WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!So crispy and moist. We finally found our Fried Chicken home!"
"Meh...just an average experience. I was quickly greeted and seated. The wait staff was initially quick and then seemed to just disappear. I ordered the Caribbean salad with shrimp. The taste was great but some of the lettuce was past the point of tired. It looks like they mixed a bit of fresh green with some that were old. While you hope that there is some consistency at locations, it just doesn't happen. There are not a lot of choices in the area so I'm guessing I'll probably return."
"Been in here several times. Waitstaff is top notch friendly and always on their A game. Very pet friendly. Food has never disappointed."
"Beautiful atmosphere for brunch or a date night. Delicious food but a bit cold for the price. 22 dollars for lukewarm chilaquiles is a bit much. Service was 3.5 out of 5, very friendly but took a while to get the check. The mixologist was nice and it was a new experience for a cotton candy mimosa. I definitely would come back but order something extra hot."
"Friendly and attentive staff. Parking lot was full but plenty of street parking. The wait on a Saturday was about 40 mins for 2 people so they can get pretty busy. Worth the wait. Generous portions. Coffee could be a bit stronger. Hash browns were on the very well done side. Quality of the food was. 3.5 out of 5 but the service and local ambiance made up for it"
"3? Only 3? Yes, but with a strong caveat....My wife were looking forward to sharing the award-winning chicken fried steak while on our Texas trip. The beef was, admittedly, some of the best cooked and quality meat served to me this way. The corn, while canned, was hot, buttery, and a huge portion. The mash was good, but....HOW CAN YOU GIVE US LUKEWARM GRAVY ON YOUR AWARD WINNING DISH??? The gravy should be just as hot as the meat and veg. The fried zucchini was actually quite nice. Our servers were.....real. Like, keeping it real, Texas style. Drinks were refilled, and we genuinely felt taken care of.Would recommend, but for the love of Davy Crockett, heat up your gravy!!!!"
"This is a good homestyle cooking spot in a tiny Texas hamlet. The decor is is typical for a small town. The staff was attentive, polite, and efficient. The food was tasty. I had the 1/2 portion of CFS. My wife had a burger. Both were delicious. I doubt I'll ever end-up in this area again, but if I do, I will return to eat here."
"If anyone really wants to know where the best burger in Rockport is, look no further than this little unexpected jewel! No frills, 2 pool tables in the middle and wine served in a plastic cup. A salty Lass named Karen will say don't call to ask if your dog can come.... the answer will be NO. The JC Burger with Pepperjack cheese & jalapeños was the ! A fantastic selection of ."
"We attended a send off for bride and groom! This place was nice to chill. We otdered Casa Azup shots. The food was ok."
"Just had the BBQ brisket sandwich from2 Gords- OMG! Deliciousness and flavor overboard!"

Delicious chicken. The yellow gravy is a must. I crave it. When in Corpus it's a small little spot with a drive through and good food. Fries are good. The burgers are great. Drink the sweet tea it's so so good, they even sell it by the jug.

went to Stingrays to watch a game and eat dinner. plenty of tv's and seatinginside. we decide on a couple appetizers while waiting on pizza (menu states pizza takes 45-60 minutes)- chips w salsa and guacamole, bacon wrapped jalapenos w chicken. Both appetizers ok- normal bar food. Pizzas came out 70 minutes later- i really don't understand why it takes soooo long to get there pizzas out. not crowded and looks like they have a large pizza oven. In the end, notworth waiting on average/good pizzastaff friendly and helpful

Came here for a business dinner and had a great experience. The place was hopping on a Wednesday night with a DJ in the booth but that didn't stop the staff as they were very friendly, quick, and attentive. Must check out the video walls to the bathrooms and don't pass on the Lobster Mac! Overall, a fun night - check them out!

The onion rings at this place rock!! They bring out a huge plate! There were 3 people in our party and we had a hard time finishing them all! By the time we got our entrees, we could barely finish them. THis place has been around since I was a youngster (I'm nearing retirement - for perspective), in the same location, in the same "old house" building with wooden floors and old-timey memorabilia decorating hanging from the walls and ceiling. Someday when I'm back in San Antonio and feeling famished, I'd love to return and try more of their menu offerings. What a great place to hang out and enjoy their music, although it tends to be loud and seating is cramped but it's definitely worth visiting!!

"So I went here last weekend for breakfast, I've heard so many good things about here, so let's try. We were seated quickly, and our server was friendly, kind, the food was sooo good. My French toast was I believe the best French toast, hands down! I wasn't a fan of the hash browns they were gross bland, and they probably could've been cooked a little longer. When I got my order, he said they didn't have syrup for my French toast. That was a bit upsetting. When I ordered, I felt he should've told me they didn't have any.. he offered me honey or sugar-free syrup. I ended up turning around and asking someone for some syrup. They atmosphere itself was ok, it wasn't amazing and nice but it was basic and blah but it's good was good and service was good so, I was ok with that. And lastly the price was great! Very affordable"
"We came on a weeknight for an early birthday dinner. TR was able to accommodate our party of 7 with an additional high chair for my baby nephew. I liked the booth seating here for a more private experience. Shoutout goes to our waiter, Erick, who provided such great customer service to our table. He checked up on us often and refilled our bread and drinks. He also communicated with us when our entrees would be arriving. He did this all with enthusiasm and a smile. So, my family and I definitely appreciated this. Thank you, Erick! As for our food, they were all good. I think the only outlier was the bbq chicken my SIL ordered. The chicken itself was dry and the sauce too sweet. Otherwise, here's a breakdown of the other items on their menu: Complimentary bread (5/5): I love these dinner rolls. Just their glistening appearance when they arrived to our table was beautiful. The rolls were soft and delicious. They were sooo good with their cinnamon whipped butter. I had to eat two of them, at least. Well, I didn't have to, but I wanted to. Lol. Frozen margarita (4/5): I forgot to take a picture. But, I really enjoyed my margarita drink. It had an ample amount of salt on the rim and the cup was huge. This is not different from other margaritas I've had. But, it was delicious and gave me just the right amount of buzz. Safe to say, I drank all of it. Lol. Blooming cactus (4/5): Everyone enjoyed this appetizer. We thought the onion was cooked well and the batter not too heavy. It was a bit salty, though. But, it was still good. My lil bro said this was better than the blooming onion at Outback Steakhouse.Chili (4/5): I really enjoyed this chili with onions and cheese. I think it tasted bean-less, which I preferred. This reminded me a lot of the Zippy's chili in Hawaii from my childhood. I would recommend this as one of the sides that come with the steak entree.Loaded baked potato (4/5): Yummy. Normally, I don't really like sour cream. But, in this potato, it was yummy mixed in with the cheese and bacon. This was definitely worth the additional charge as a side that came along with my steak. FYI - You get two sides with the steak entree. Forth Worth Ribeye (14 oz) (4/5): I've had this steak before at another TR and loved it. So, of course I'd order it again. My family all ordered the same steak too. Lol. It was cooked to medium rare and had that beautiful charbroiled flavor. I did add sautéed mushrooms and onions to my steak this time around, which was delicious. But, I found it did make my steak a bit saltier than I'd like. Next time, I think I'll just order my steak sans the mushrooms/onions. Overall, my family and I had a great food and customer service experience at this TR location. We will be back. Come check them out as well."
"Fav dishes Eggs not Benedict received rave reviews from my husband and friend. Next time I might have to order this too! Ham n cheese is my favorite kinda sandwich. Lots of ham and just the right proportion of cheese and cranberry chipotle jam on perfectly toasted Texas toast. My comfort food sandwich. Philly cheesesteak was a winner according to my friend and had a nice spicy kick from the jalapeño aioli. The patty melt was just ok - thick beefy patty cooked medium well which was good but husband said it was missing some moisture / sauce factor. Portions are just right to maybe a teeny bit too much. I wish I had more room for dessert! Service was friendly and experienced, and getting everyone seated and served as fast as they could on a busy Saturday. Enjoyed finding this place and would definitely come back whenever we're in the area!"
"Some friends and I decided to try this place after reading the reviews and someone from the Jersey Barn said we needed to go here too. So glad we did!! The food is delicious! I had the smash burger, my friend had loaded fries with I believe it was brisket, other friend had the back porch sandwich and my husband had the smash burger as well. They were delicious!! We all ate everything off our plates. Then to top it off we shared a banana pudding. I would definitely come back here!"
"Located in the historic 'downtown", Green Iguana is one of the few better dining places in the small town of Port Lavaca, but compared to other restaurants, it is nothing spectacular. The decors in Green Iguana is pretty cool! The whole interior is filled with old school decorations and antiques such as an old Coke machine that sold $0.25 per pop (Those must be the good ole days). Sadly, the food is nothing out of ordinary. I ordered shrimp po-boy for the last two visits and although they are pretty cheap ($8 including fries), the po-boy was just something I need to eat to hang out with people in the restaurant.Overall, the relaxed atmosphere and the nice decors make Green Iguana a great place for local residents to hang out with their friends. Other than that, it's nothing that you should go out of your way to dine."
"Consistently delicious lunches! This cafe has yummy daily hot specials similar to the favorite casseroles for sale at the Pecan House down the block. All of their grilled panini-style sandwiches are super, but the Dewitt is my favorite! Their side salads are incredible- like the broccoli, chicken, potato, or tuna. Finally, add a homemade Cowboy cookie or lemon bar to finish! Great service and always a good choice!! Thank you!!"
"There is definitely a Mom and Pop cafe vibe with this cafe in a small town. For breakfast on a Sunday the service was amazing and food was good. The server was busy and still checked on our table multiple times. She was great!"
"Found this place on Yelp and ratings looked great so we decided to check it out. My father ordered the three meat plate Brisket, Sausage and Ribs. I ordered the fully loaded baked potato. Let me tell you the size of the plates were huge! Especially for the price it was great! The food was so delicious. Literally the best BBQ I have had anywhere. This place is a hidden gem! The meat was literally falling apart it was so tender. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone the food is amazing! The place is so cute as well. They have outside seating with a little covered area. Great place to take family and they also serve beer. Like I said this place is great and the food is the best for BBQ that I have ever tasted and I have ate a ton of BBQ places and this is the best in my opinion so far. Will definitely be going back great prices and delicious food."
"The only bad thing about Sandy McGees is the size. It's not huge, but it should be. Food was great and the service was as well. It's a nice little staple of Richmond that reminds me of a small town restaurant with all the comforts you would expect. I find it baffling that people complain in their 1 star reviews of this place. Some lady said she paid 17.50 for a kids plate? Where? They are 8.50, which don't get me wrong it isn't the cheapest out there but don't lie. Also, another person said it was cramped, uh duh. You can see that from the outside of the building. People always find something to complain about."
"Stopped by for lunch while working in Pleasanton. Walked in and the place was packed! Ordered the philly cheesesteak and it was solid. Fries were hot and fresh. My coworker ordered the burger and said it was really good.Next time i want to try the chicken fried steak and onion rings.Service was excellent.Tried going back for dinner that night, but they were closed. Yelp closing time was wrong. Yelp said 10pm closing, but the door said 9pm. This was on a Thursday."
"Holy Jesus! I've driven by this place and wanted to stop. You see, I am a huge fan of small town burger joints. I was in Victoria to watch our nephew play some little league. It turns out his favorite place is Jim's. We had lunch after his game and I ordered my go to test burger... a double meat burger with jalapeños. It was epic. Plus, it was funny that some place named Jim's was populated by kitchen and counter staff 100% by pretty girls, all working hard. Great place! Glad I FINALLY tried it!"
"This is your new stop between Houston and San Antonio. Trust me. Wow. Okay, first of all this place is set in a wonderful old house nestled just north of downtown Columbus. This place actually hugs you with wit and humor and class all at the same time. Fun paintings along with white table cloths and brass fixtures. Elegant. But what's a nice setting if the food isn't also great? MS delivers. We had apps and entrees from a full but not too-large a menu. Simple recognizable dishes for extremely well. We had salads, southern shrimp, braised short rib etc. All prepared and plated with an elegance and attention that matches the decor. Service was delightful attentive and kind. The owner even stopped by our table twice and spoke to us. Magnolia Society is worth the very short trek off of I-10 for food that is not a classless chain burger or prepackaged truck stop fare. This is your next go-to stop between San Antonio and Houston."
"If you like seafood eat here. There are SO many options you are sure to find something you like. I rarely post on a first visit but I am not likely to return to Edna any time soon. I almost didn't come here because I didn't think the posted pictures were very appealing. But against my judgement I came and I must say I enjoyed my visit. I ordered the lunch special of grilled flounder with came with dirty rice and staemed veggies. You also get a choice of salad or coleslaw. I like to try different coleslaws and found this one to be drowning in mayo. I posted my own photos that show the spices in which the fish is grilled. It was almost too salty, but I ate it with lemon and/or coleslaw. The rice has meat in it-ground beef. The veggies were perfectly steamed. I do recommend this restaurant. I came on a cold day at lunchtime. The locals do seem to enjoy this place and for good reason. The servers are friendly and helpful and aren't afraid to make recommendations or confirm with the cook if they don't have an answer as to how something is cooked."
"Was passing through Gonzales and decided to stop for bbq. Arrived about 230p and place was empty, must have just missed the lunch rush. The bbq smell when walking in was mesmerizing. Staff greeted us as we walked in. I got the 2 meat plate with brisket and pork loin with 2 sides of potato salad and green beans. Brisket was cooked perfectly, fork tender and juicy. Pork loin was just okay, as were green beans. Potato salad was creamy with a great mayo and dill pickle flavor. When in area will definitely stop again and try the sausage and ribs."
"A hidden gem!Wendy was our server and she was amazing! We started off with the range cakes and they were delicious. We decided to split Cajun chicken. It came with a salad, even down to the bacon was delish. They were kind enough to split the main meal in two for us.Never have had a dish like it before. It was creamy charbroiled like chicken over wild rice. Came with steamed veggies and garlic bread. We were so full from the other food that we took what we didn't eat to go.We will definitely be back as it is only about 30 minutes away."
"Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. I only pick up food so I have no opinion about the ambiance. If you like a small, friendly bar setting with food, this might be your place."
"Amazing service and ridiculously delicious food. We all loved our waitress Rhonda, she was very attentive and helpful. We can't wait to go back. The bacon wrapped shrimp was my favorite. When you get here make sure you sing "help me Rhonda, help, help me Rhonda" Lastly, my only warning to you is make sure you're hungry!"
"Sherrys Texan never ceases to amaze me. Thanks to my parents, I have been a patron over 30yrs. I will continue to support this establishment until they are no longer. (The owner is selling)I encourage to walk by the cash register to read their signage. (To go boxes costs when eating in, they'll be closed for a July 7th - 14 2022)Also check your order when it's to go. Not only the smart thing to do in general, but they may forget something. I've repeatedly recommended this spot to friends and fam. Can't wait for my next visit. Fish basket is yummy as well as the shrimp combos! Def my go to orders"
"Stopped in for lunch today and was very pleased with the experience. The server was prompt and friendly and the food was very good. I had a hamburger steak with loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was good sized and was cooked to order. The seasoning was perfect and I liked that they topped it with sautéed onions. It came with an excellent brown gravy that was served on the side, something I really appreciate. The loaded mashed potatoes were topped with bacon, sour cream, and cheese and were excellent. They were basically a cross between a baked potato and mashed potatoes and will be my side of choice in future visits. Overall a very satisfying lunch in a nice, small town pub!"
"We had a really nice dinner at Gruene River Grill. Dining out on the patio with beautiful hill country weather provided a nice dining out experience in New Braunfels. The Jalapeño Crawfish Chowder was the best appetizer I have had in a while. The Country Fried Chicken was delicious. Great meal & nice patio dining. They were out of all the dark beer they listed on their current menu. Hopefully they restock soon or modify their offerings. The service was fantastic from being seated quickly, ordering and receiving our meal. Definitely coming back while the weather is perfect for outdoor patio dining in Texas."
"We went on steak night. Definitely a good steak. 100% better than the other place here selling them. Glad we didn't receive a gray steak. Service was good. Was a little weird that someone brought their dog inside the restaurant. That's kinda gross. And we love dogs!"
"Ok, brisket here is the real deal. Needs no sauce, although their homemade stuff is quite good. Perfect combination of smoke, tenderness, aroma, color and bark. Warms back up days later, just good as fresh. And THAT is one of the true tests of good brisket."
"Some of the best service and lunch around. Watch out for special menu items as they are ah-mazing. The pulled pork baked potato was one of the best things I've eaten. Their burgers and fries are perfection! Do not skip dessert! The buttermilk pie is what I dream about. Do not skip this place."
