"Came here because a family member was in town and were staying in the city. Someone recommended this place. It was a bit of a disappointment.The food is ok. It wasnt amazing or memorable. But sometimes the service would make up for that which in this instance it didnt. Our server was also the bartender and I cant really blame her for being busy since she was also mixing everyone else's drinks We had to request for our missing set of utensil 3 or 4 times to different people. They warned us that food comes when its ready meaning it doesnt come all together even though you order at the same time. Three people ordered the same thing the Fettucini Alfredo and they all came at a different time. One was even super late. Go figure right.One of our pizza got lost somewhere and was given to another table. The Tortellini also came when everyone was almost done eating. The upside is they did compensate us for these but if these are the only food you ordered your big intestines would be eating your small intestines because of hunger!As i said the food wasnt amazing that the poor service would compensate for. So i dont think I'd be coming back here anytime soon. Happy eating!"

"Another beautiful experience at Eataly! I signed up for the hands-on Neapolitan Pizza making class. It was great! We were greeted with a nice glass of Prosecco and escorted to a beautiful table. There were twelve of us and we were all first timers. Our host was funny, friendly and patient. The dough took the longest to prepare. When we were done playing around with it, it was wrapped in plastic and boxed up. It takes twenty-four hours for a good Italian dough to proof. Thankful and grateful for the restaurant having enough dough prepared for us to each make our own pizza. Of course, we had to shape it, stretch it and top it. I was getting hangry but the second glass of Prosecco helped. Besides, it only takes 90 seconds for the pizza to finish in the 900 degree oven. So much fun!!!"

My husband, baby, and I came to eat here for an early dinner when we were in town. They were kind about our running late and let us keep our baby in his stroller so we could eat. The octopus is perfectly cooked and comes with a really good green sauce. The clam dish comes with a great red sauce I highly recommend getting more bread for to enjoy. The pesto gnocchi are wonderfully seasoned. The German Riesling was a pleasant surprise, since a lot of Italian restaurants stick to Italian wine. My husband really enjoyed his old fashioned. Great restaurant! Highly recommend."

This was my favorite eatery experience exceeding my expectationsHubby made res well in advance as recommended and we were given a very nice private window table. Overall the ambiance is nice, not romantically quiet but not overwhelming loud considering tables are spaced close together. The service was excellent from start to finish. Quick, efficient and friendly.And the food was exceptional. We started sharing an Italian Chopped Salad and a Seafood antipasto salad. OMG the seafood was fresh with the calamari so tender and perfectly seasoned.The highlight was the entrees. I got the gnocchi with vodka sauce, the best I have ever had. I still think about this dish and wish this restaurant was in our town.Hubby had the grilled salmon with deliciously prepared veggies. Wowie...sooo good.Someday I may be back when we are in the area again. If not, I just have to savor it in my dreams."

The food was unreal, but the service was even better. Our server was around ever few minutes checking to see if she could fill our wine and water glasses. By the time we finished dinner the manager had come over to check to see how our meal and experience was. Ashley was so incredibly nice and very helpful in choosing our next lunch and dinner spots. The food was incredible and the service was top notch."

I ordered:-Half order of Burrata E Ham -Half order of Arancini-Gnochetti con Pesto-SundaeI love that you can do half orders of the two appetizers I mentioned! It came with 2 pieces instead of 4, which is perfect for a party of two. The burrata is extremely popular and it was so good ... sweet and salty. Highly recommend. The arancini was good, but I didn't think it was anything special. They also gave us some complimentary chilled tomato soup and soup shooters (I forget the name) since we were there celebrating our anniversary. It was excellent. The gnocchi pesto was also amazing, the pasta is light and unique. Flavor is good... highly recommend. I only thing I would skip is probably the sundae. It was ordinary and wasn't worth the price. I saw a couple people order the tiramisu though."

There is beautiful garden seating, but it wasn't open yet in May. Bread and salad were fresh and inviting. Calamari was great, but not too good to share between 4 people. I could have eaten it all by myself. Pork felt a tad dry, but salmon was top notch. Bass was also delicious. Overall, everything was delicious and inviting and the servers were especially attentive."

"I have been coming to the Art of Pizza for YEARS, and there has not been one time that I have come that I haven't enjoyed everything I've eaten. Granted, I've only eaten their pizza, but that's what they're known for. They have a selection of Chicago style & thin crust pizzas for purchase by the slice . I love that they usually have a veggie Chicago style up there as well as the usual pepperoni and sausage. The crust is flaky, the sauce is savory, and the toppings are plentiful. I feel like all restaurants prices have gone up exponentially in the last two years, but Art of Pizza still keeps their prices affordable for a quick lunch. There is a parking lot right in front. They take cash or card, and the staff is fast and never hesitates to answer any questions. The inside isn't fancy, but is always clean and I have never had a hard time finding a table."

Topo Gigio features a modern Tuscan-Style approach to Italian Cooking. This place has a lot of seating space - they have a patio, bar and indoor seating as well! We ordered a house salad - PANZANELLA alla ROMANA that was shared by all and also ordered CAMPANELLE alla NORMA and CONCHIGLIE MEDITERRANEA. They have hand made pastas and it was delicious! Overall, the food was very authentic and 10/10 would recommend it. The place was a bit crowded as they were showing Celtics vs. Mavericks game but overall the place had a good vibe! I'll surely visit again."

"It was good. Kelsi made the experience better. I've had better cheese curds. They were so garlic forward that I don't think I'll be bitten by any vampires any time soon. The thin crust pizza was a winner. They got the gold for having green olives on the menu. We turned down a different path and opted for the thin pizza rather than the deep dish pizza. The crust is the authentic Chicago crispy cracker crust. It was around lunchtime and they were swamped for a Thursday afternoon crowd. If you head downstairs to the bathroom, you will notice a private room that is perfect for parties."

"This is a good one, y'all. A restaurant dedicated to pasta? I'm in. And yes, they primarily serve pastas here besides a few salads and apps! First off my friends and I (a group of 5) came here on a Saturday around 4ish; there was a 30 minute wait which is pretty standard for a busy Saturday at a smallish restaurant. Seating here is pretty limited and it's a tight space. You're pretty close to others sitting by you and people are constantly hustling and bustling around you. Our server was so nice! I forget her name but she was very personable and thorough. They were out of 2 ingredients to make a certain cocktail and then out of another cider beer that my friend ordered. I ended up getting the limoncello spritz and it was okay! The pasta was superb - no surprise. They had over 15 pasta dishes and it was seriously hard to choose which one. We all absolutely loved the farfalle pollo, the chopped salad, and gnocchi Aurora. I really wanna try even more pastas and their appetizers. Will definitely come here again plus check out their other locations!"

He said, Ricobene's is a South Side staple and a far cry from fine dining, but amazing at the same time. We had just completed a long trade show and needed some substance. My coworker ordered a slice of the deep-dish pizza, which she enjoyed. We were a little caught off guard by the crust which had a cornbread taste, but it was delicious, crunchy and not too soggy.I went with the HIGHLY RECOMMENDED breaded steak sandwich. It was super unhealthy, and super delicious, all at the same time (see picture). The show stealer were the fries, which taste fresh and had the perfect amount of grease, which we all loved.If you just want to grab something quick and you are NOT on a diet, this is your spot. The inside is very family friendly; we were amazed that it was so busy at 9pm on a Tuesday. They have a lot of family portraits hung throughout which was neat to see. Did I mention, they also serve beer.Parking across the street under the overpass also added to the ambience/experience. It is akin to somewhere the mob might bring someone before whacking them.This is a great local spot, I will be back!"

This was not bad! The au jus was definitely the best part, but since the sandwich was so big, there wasn't enough! I couldn't finish it since it was too dry without the au jus. The fries are also really well made here!!"

"Having never been to Chicago before, I relied heavily on recommendations from some of the partners I was treating to dinner as to where we'd actually end up eating dinner; Osteria Via Stato was on two of their lists, and their menu seemed to fit all the dietary requirements and restrictions for the group.Our party of six had a 6:30 pm dinner reservation, and we were tucked into a small table in an alcove off the main dining room. This was my first time meeting four of the guests in person, and it was the first time all five of them were meeting, as well. I really wanted to focus on conversation and community, but the table behind us was quickly filled with a rowdy party of 10, which made conversation difficult towards the end.Still, we were able to have a good night and a decent dinner. I took a star off due to the service, which was not good. Our waitress kept stopping about five feet from our table to watch us for a second before disappearing for large chunks of time, occasionally ignoring our attempts to wave her down.I went with the Chicken Mario (with brown butter and broccolini, $22.95) for my main, while my guests' dishes varied from salads to pastas to fish. There was a moment where my gluten-free guest stumped our waitress by asking for a gluten-free side, which the waitress said they didn't do (one of the reasons I went with this restaurant was because they have a gluten-free menu, so the waitress wasn't working with good information.)It took an inordinate amount of time for the waitress to return to confirm they could, in fact, guarantee the side was gluten-free, which was a relief to everyone. The Chicken Mario was pretty tasty. The chicken was cooked well - a tiny crisp to the outside but juicy on the inside. They served it with a lemon, which added a nice zip of citrus to the butter sauce and the broccolini.Everyone else enjoyed their meals, but I didn't get pictures of anything. Not sure I'd go back the next time I'm in Chicago, but it was a good central spot for everyone and it gave us a chance to connect and build relationships, so I call that a win."

She had that sort of attitude and air to her like you'd have known her for years. We started off the night with some Bruschetta and Calamari Fritti, both of which set the stage for what was next to come.The only way I could properly describe the Paccheri alla Vodka e Salsiccia is that it transported me to another plane of existence. If this is the state I died in, all worries, regrets, and missed opportunities would have faded away into bliss ignorance. Never have I had a vodka sauce so tender to the soul that I actively spooned up the rest, long after the paccheri itself was gone. And no, this was not just the wine and limoncello talking, it's as if I almost achieved a state of enlightenment.So, if that's not enough to drive your expectations up the wall, I don't know what is! I know there's so much more in Chicago to eat and explore, but you better believe I will make it my mission to return next time I visit."

I tend to stop in impromptu during the week to enjoy the happy hour bites which go from 4p-6p weeknights. I'm so hooked on the grilled octopus and eggplant stack and truly appreciate Ubaldo's attentive bar service.The ambiance is charming in the main restaurant too - especially if you dine in the enclosed patio with the twinkle lights. During warmer months, el fresco is another great option being it's located in the River North Neighborhood. I happen to notice little details and love the beautiful Italian blue bread plates and side plates, I feel they elevate the experience. Kitchen staff does an amazing job to make unique dishes that are prepared quickly, even on a busy night. The staff hustles nonstop which can make you feel rushed but don't let that stop you from enjoying it at your own leisurely pace either. Yelp tip: Definitely do yourself a favor to ask for the fresh house made focaccia bread with EVOO & balsamic when you order your meal. They used to bring it to the table right away but now you will need to specifically ask for it. Makes sense though because you could easily fill up on it. Hello Carbs!!Portions sizes in general are adequate, and if I come with friends I prefer to share a few plates to get a nice variety of flavors. The tagliatelle pasta is made in house, and it's delicious so don't be bashful and the squid ink pasta is a wonderful choice too.Overall, Nonnina checks all the boxes! Just go:)"

"When I had this Italian Neapolitan pizza for the first time, it changed the way I looked at pizza, I was so used to the Chicago deep dish and the NYC thin crust style. We ordered burrata and pistacchio pizza. The bread for the burrata was really soft, light, and easy to tear. That butter in the middle was full of flavor and creamy. I wished I had more of this but I had to stop and make room for pizza. After receiving the pistacchio pizza, that aroma was intoxicating. That first bite is very important. I tasted the basil and pistacchio pesto first, then fresh sausage and mozzarella. You'll feel full but not like overstuffed, like you're going to explode with the deep dish. Terrific service and prices are very standard for this area of Chicago. There was a sufficient amount of seating inside."
