"Small little bagel shop (only 2 four person tables) that makes classic style sandwiches with them and also carries a variety of cream cheeses. You can also get croissant sandwiches too. Not overly awesome or anything, but it's really solid. Bagels are always soft and fresh and they toast them perfectly. The decor of the place is stuck in the 80's however. Charming if you are into that kind of thing."

"Saratoga Bagels is located in a small strip mall off of Saratoga Sunnyvale Road. Looks to be a family-own business.Charming little store with simple decor. They also sell their branded t-shirts. There are a couple of tables inside and outside to sit and enjoy your bagel and coffee/drink. The service was friendly and welcoming from all of the workers.Vietnamese coffee (3/5) - the cup size was a bit small for the price. Otherwise, the drink was standard, enough condensed milk to cut the bitterness from the coffee. A decent drink.#23 Cream Cheese & Lox: Cream Cheese & Sliced Nova Lox (4/5). I went with the combo bagel. Crunchy outside yet soft chewy inside. Flavorful from all the toppings. The cream cheese was nice and creamy, and the Lox was silky smooth."

"There's not that many bagel spots in San Jose, which I would love to see more of, but City Bagels is definitely up there. I like how they're located in the heart of a busy downtown. They're a hole in the wall that can be easy to miss, but once you find them you'll quickly realize why they're that one necessary stop on everyone's daily commutes. So crazy how there's a dispensary located right next to it now (such a San Jose thing lol). I got the #12 which was a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and a plain cheese bagel. And baby, that sandwich was hella hot and made with love from the ancestors because the cheese was melting, dripping on my finger and everything. A solid, convenient breakfast spot if you're looking for something made fresh and quick out the door, or sit and just have a coffee and read the paper. They got a variety of drinks on the menu as well as boba!"

"This was my first time trying it! I heard they are now under new management, which is why there are new menu items. My favorite has to be the kolgi steak sandwich--so good, with perfect tenderness and cheesiness! The spring rolls are a refreshing addition, and I love eating them with peanut sauce, so it was nice to see that on the menu. I also noticed they serve banh mi, which I definitely need to try next time. I went around 11, and it wasn't too busy, so I might try to do some work there next time!- Also don't forget to reduce sweetness for drinks!!"

"This place has recently come under new ownership and it shows. It had been looking increasingly shabby over the years. No blame to anyone as I know Covid hit it hard. It's much nicer inside now and the service has even improved. Barista Faith was on duty on Sunday when I visited to see Rick Sanders play his awesome loop show. Faith greeted every customer with a smile, good eye contact, and friendly service. I ordered an ice mocha. Now, usually when I order an iced mocha at a coffee shop, some bored human will dump some coffee, ice, milk, and chocolate syrup in my glass and take my money. But Faith did not simply make me an iced mocha. She CRAFETD it. And it was great!The Chit Chat could still use a bit of TLC, especially those ugly ceiling tiles, but it has once again become the cozy community hub that we all love. I will visit more often."

"LOVE THIS PLACE. I always go here before I go to work. They work pretty fast so if you see a line in there, you don't have to worry too much bc they work QUICK! I usually get their chicken salad, tuna salad, or the western bagel. Personally, my all time favorite is the tuna salad. They also serve some sweet treats like brownies, cookies, smoothies, so if you feel like you need something sweet with your food, I def recommend looking at their bakery items! The service is always on point and the bagels are really excellent, Yeah yeah NY this NY that. You know what I prefer our West coast versions be it pizza or bagels. It was that tweener time before lunch having gotten a late start so I went with an everything bagel sandwich with roast beef. The bagel had just the right amount of stuff on the top with just the right amount of schmear. The roast beef was fresh with just the right amount of pink and the fixing were fresh and plentiful.
