I would definitely recommend. I can't wait to go back and try more bakery items. The bakery has a few small tables inside and outside, but not many."

Desmond T. "I came around 10am on a Monday morning and most of the bakery items were still available. It's a mostly self service bakery, you get to pick and bag your own items. I tried the chocolate croissant, walnut sourdough, this caramelized onion sourdough roll(?), chocolate chip cookie, and a sourdough round. Their sourdough bread is very good, not overly sour like some sourdoughs I've had. The cookie was pretty good, though very sweet. The chocolate croissant seemed a little bit stale when I got it unfortunately, though we did go to the bakery at a later time. Overall I really do like this bakery for their sourdough, and they even sell pizzas which I would like to try my next visit."

Really cool that the kitchen isn't hidden and we get to see the skills that go into the amazing food. And amazing it really is. No joke, everytime I give someone food from this place they smile, and there is a lot of variety to choose from (unless you come late). They also make items that you will never find elsewhere like the captain crunch or krazy cookies. It's obvious to see the passion they have for the food they make.Only downside is the line gets long, especially on the weekends ... but it never takes too long and it's well worth the wait (if there is one). Especially since the staff are friendly and some of the ones that have worked there the longest are the sweetest and so warm"

Kristine H. "THE BEST...for almost 30 years. We have been coming here since day one. We always lived in the Tahoe region and we would drive with the kids to pick up Piroshki's and then go have a picnic in Golden Gate Park. As the years passed, we would still make our way here. Even as we peddled our bikes down the entire PCH from Oregon to Mexico - took a detour just for these amazing POTATO piroshki's. Later years we moved to Ventura. We still visited when possible. And now...in California for our son's wedding in Tahoe Region and we came all the way from Spain! Guess where we bought our lunch today to eat in Golden Gate Park!Yep at the best Russian bakery on the planet. The potato piroshki is my favorite but also the mushroom & egg or the cabbage. They also have beef and a beef & cheese and also a plain cheese. After almost 30 years in continuous business, they still keep prices at only $3.85 per piece. They also have fresh baked bread each day plus a large variety of yummy pastries. Definitely recommend and of course we will be back!"

It's been almost 30 years of coming here, and the food is still the same as I remember. The prices definitely is a bit higher, but paying about $4 for an order of 3 dim sum items is still more cost efficient than eating out. They recently reopened their indoor eating space, since it was closed due to COVID in the past few years. They have about 4 tables where you can sit to enjoy your food with soy sauce and hot sauce provided on the table. It's definitely nice as a grab and go.My favorites here are their steamed baos, pork siu mai, ha gow (shrimp dumpling), banana custard mochi (they don't always have this though), and their lotus wrapped sticky rice. They're cash only, and I recommend going early in the day because they get packed later in the mornings into the afternoon."

Van N. "My family and I were walking around Stanford Shopping Center one weekend morning when my mom wanted a snack. My family loves pastries and we saw a line for La Baguette, so we went inside to see for ourselves. The inside of the store is too compact for seating, but you will see a good amount of tables, chairs, and umbrellas just outside the store in the middle of the large walking space. La Baguette had two large displays, one with cakes and cake slices, another with the baked goods and a few sandwiches. We paid at the counter and asked for our croissants to be heated, so we were given a number and instructed to wait outside for our order to be called. We bought two croissants, one plain and one filled with ham and cheese. Both were ginormous and thus perfect to split among four people. The staff conveniently split them in half without us asking. They were sooooo crispy and flaky that they're impossible to eat without getting crumbs all over. The texture inside was really soft, not the generally dense texture my average croissants are from all the butter. We had a good amount of ham and cheese in ours, and you get a thin layer of cheese crust on top of the croissant itself. Overall, La Baguette is a great pit stop for our morning in the area. I thought about getting the sandwiches, but they looked heavy on the bread and light on the filling. I will probably stick to their croissants!"

Here you may run into a coyote as the trails leads to the Canyon Market. The Canyon Market which has been a San Francisco neighborhood staple in the Glen Park Village and has a little bit of everything. This place is the go to place for quality drinks and food. Although it is part of the Gus's portfolio of supermarkets in San Francisco it has that same neighborhood vibe. I enjoy shopping here because they have good items to pick up. When it comes to cheese and wine this place is well stocked for whatever you need for in the day time or at night time. They do have a great produce section and they do carry tasty desserts. They also offer food to go like the fried chicken dinner and salads and savory soups. The Canyon Market is a diamond mine on Diamond street. Keeping it consistent during it changes. When you are on the path on the Glen Park Canyon trail you might run into a coyote with their companion Make sure not to feed them but to continue on the path to then feed yourself at the Market ( not on Market street ) called The Canyon"

I usually order through email, but when I need something within the same week, I usually try to give a call to see if they aren't too busy. I haven't had any issues so far and they always do their best to accommodate my order in such short notice! In fact, I just ordered one last week for my best friend's birthday and it turned out great. I remember my first time ordering with them, I wanted a similar design to a cake I saw on their Yelp photos (it was a picture of I believe Johnny Depp with a thought bubble and a person in it like he got her on his mind, lol). When the delivery came, I noticed something was not quite right. Instead of having Trey Songz in the background, it was Johnny Depp (as shown on the Yelp photo). It was a funny mistake, one that I didn't mind, but of course, I wanted what I had asked for. The man who delivered the cake apologized and said that he would come back later with the right cake. And he did! What I really love about this place is the FREE delivery within SF. This really makes my life so much easier.Their cakes are reasonably priced, especially for custom cakes/photo printed cakes. Holy Nata is located on Trinity place, an alley way between Bush St and Sutter St; and the best way to get here is by foot. Coming here reminded me so much of our visit to Lisbon, Portugal where there were a multitude of bakeries selling Pastel de Nata. This is a small store where you can only order to-go, no dine in. It's amazing to watch the bakers make this special pastry! That day, they were offering pumpkin spice and peanut butter flavors, that I had to try them with the original flavor. I find ordering multiples will get you the best value, they even give you a 4% discount when you pay cash. Service was fast, pastries were served warm. The staff even offered dusting my pastries with cinnamon which is the traditional way of having them. I ordered a pack of 6; the size of the pastry is good for 2-3 bites. The Pastel de Nata were the BOMB! No wonder Holy Nata is names one of SF's best bakeries! No need to travel to Portugal when you can get Pastel de Nata here. Highly recommend Holy Nata if ever in SF! We came later in the day so they were already out of some of the more classic pastry options, but we were still able to order a sourdough round, chocolate chip cookie, croissant, and a slice of pizza. They had quite the pizza selection, I counted 7 different flavors while we were in, and a unique variety of sourdough, including one with beets and carrots, and another with olives and citrus. We ended up going with the classic sourdough, but will absolutely try one of the fun flavors next time. For pizza we got the shroomy, and it was delicious, though it was a tough call because they all looked good. I would definitely come back here and try some of the other pizza flavors. The chocolate chip cookie and croissant were both delicious, but had a unique flavor to them. I couldn't pinpoint what it was, but the croissant almost tasted like it was made with a sourdough, and the cookie maybe had some cornmeal? Not sure what exactly it was, but I still enjoyed each and appreciate that they were a little bit different than what I normally get."
