Crafting my Sicilian Sub to the right. I can't believe the owner cranks out so many pizzas in the small ovens to the far right.

Family owned and operated. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Excellent customer service and great prices too. What really stands out, is the quality of their ingredients. Always fresh and full of flavor! Their hoagies are delicious and their Tomato Pie is the best around. Keep doing what you do Sal and family, you guys are the best!! A++

I heard quite a bit of noise regarding Sal's over the last couple of years. So, when I went to look them up a year or so ago, I was crushed to find out they were no longer operating at their previous location. It tore me up to hear about a possible best in the area hoagie and pizza without being able to try it myself. I was happy to hear Sal's found a new home, even better news was that they are located next to a brewery (Broad Street Brewing). I've tried the duo and I can recommend if your looking for a great sandwich and/or above average pizza to take with you to Broad Street Brewing look no further than Sal's. (check the hours though because Sal's is closed on Sundays). The crew running Sal's is all family and they are all Sicilians which is beautiful! They were very kind and very busy. The inside is small, bright and inviting with seating limited to a couple of tables. I made two visits, the first to try the pizza and the second for a Sicilian hoagie. 10" personal plain cheese pizza - crispy crust, good sauce to cheese ratio, slight char - above average and worthy of a repeat. I've had better in the area, but your going to get a solid pizza with fresh ingredients. $8.50 for the small and I believe a 16" is $14.Sicilian Hoagie - Sharp provolone, prosciutto, mortadella, sopressata, capicola, lettuce, tomato, onions. I asked for mine sans onions with light oil and light vinegar on a seeded roll and a side of hot peppers. BTW bread boxes come in from Corropolese bakery, I'm pretty confident I confirmed that with the owner as well. You can choose an 8" or 12", I went 12 and the price was $9.75. First thoughts looking at it and smelling it were that they used legit sharp provolone and that the prosciutto looked amazing. Taste wise you're not going to get much of a better flavor profile than this. The prosciutto is the strongest flavor after the provo and mixes so well with it. I found the roll to be good, but if I'm ranking a Mazzanti's Italian vs this straight up, the roll gives Mazzanti's the edge. BUT!! ..... you're still getting an above average legit Sicilian hoagie AND you can get it in a smaller size at a great price. I highly recommend you try Sal's. I also recommend ordering ahead and being patient.

My first time coming to Sal's and unfortunately I wasn't impressed first the staff was nice when I ordered or had any questions but after I received my food is when things went down hill, they forgot an item I ordered so I had to wait some time to get it, once we got home and started eating we noticed the amount of food was not equal to the amount we paid, the cheesesteaks taste ok and the amount of meat was small compared to other places we ate, get a cheesesteak at Curly's and then you'll understand, wings were ok but the sauce was watery, pizza was ok but needed to be a bit more chard for my taste, pizza fries were small and needs more sauce, chicken tenders were good no complaints there, overall we spent near $70 and for that amount I was expecting more food and above average taste. Over-priced for average Italian food.

I've heard great things and glad to hear they opened backup at a new location. Pizza was great. Had that nice crust you could hear crunch in your mouth, but the perfect pull. If you know you know! Look at those crisp edges! The Buffalo chicken cheesesteak was delicious. You know when you open up the wrap and it's just covered in juices from the cheese and meat melting together! The wings were good. The sauce is local and always a win. Highly suggest. The only negative I have out of all things is the blue cheese for the wings. It was almost too light like a Caesar. I actually thought it was before trying. It was very light and didn't have the usual "bite" blue cheese does. Overall a definite recommend and will be trying other items from the menu. Also they prefer cash. I was short by a dollar and he said give me whatever you got! 5 stars just based on that gesture and kindness. I did get the extra cash to pay

Happened upon this deli located adjacent to a first time visit to Broad St Brewery. Ordered Sicilian hoagie, cheesesteak and chicken cheesesteak. Great Italian seeded rolls I believe from Corropolese. The Sicilian hoagie is one of the best I've had anywhere. The quality and selection of meats and sharp provolone used are fantastic. Super fresh, thin sliced and well-made with a perfect ratio of bread to meats, cheese and toppings. Both of the steaks were fine chopped, very tender and made to order. Well worth a visit here.

So glad this place is back open! The roast pork sandwich is AMAZING!! Pizza is also THE BEST! Friendly staff are always on point. Hardest part of going here is decided what to order next because everything is soooo good. Do yourself a favor and go to Sal's as soon as you can. Make sure to bring all your friend too!

I liked their food SO much, which is a shame to see/realize that they do not wash their hands after handling money/the cash register and then making your sandwich. Straight from the register and handing out change to handling meat, cheese and the roll with their bare hands
