Very nice food indeed! I had the eggplant with chicken. Also had a pleasant conversation with the lady who ordered me.

The food itself is okay, but man, how can you complain for something that's literally $5? Portions are big enough to feed a growing boy that just came out of the gym where it is conveniently located next to. I wasn't super impressed and the line was pretty long but overall it was still yummy and worth it. Definitely stop by when you get a chance.

From a food truck next to the University of Pennsylvania's gym. There's no seating, it's just a food truck with a small overhead covering. For the food: The rice texture was a bit off and super separated, and the subgum (assorted meats) with mixed veggies and rice was just okay. The tomato and egg with rice was yummy. I think I def ordered the wrong things! Their orange chicken/any fried chicken dish that my friends have gotten in the past were very delicious and perfectly crispy! The owners have been here for many years, and have built up a huge following among the students. Definitely can rely on this truck when you want inexpensive Chinese food!

Having been to many authentic Chinese restaurants, perhaps my review is biased because i have high standards, but the food here is okay. Portions are generous and food costs around $7.5-10/11. Service is fast but that also means food won't be as good as your best Chinese restaurants. Overall, support small business like Kim's but compared to good chinese restaurants, it's okay. In order of preference, I've had: 1) 红烧肉 braised pork, 2) sesame chicken, 3) 湖南鸡 hunan chicken.

Kim's used to be such a bargain but they (albeit like everyone else) raised their prices earlier this fall as Penn students came back to town. I've still been a few times cause the portions are large but the 30-40% markup is disappointing. The food is still usually pretty good depending on what you order; I'm not a fan of the Ginger chicken but other noodle dishes have been good. Today, they finally had the oriental beef available so I ordered it and walked back to my office. Low and behold, they served me up a box of sweet and sour tofu??? I'm so confused because the gentleman taking orders clearly heard me and charged me $11 for the beef... but this is obviously not what I ordered. With the disappearance of Yu Kee, there's just less Chinese food trucks overall but I feel like Kim's has sadly started to slip in recent years.

My favorite food truck in U-City. No frills, miraculously quick and kind service and incredibly affordable. For the price, you truly can't go wrong. They have the best best best fried fish! There are many weeks where I come and have it twice. It costs 7.50. My other favorites are the salt crispy chicken (done Taiwanese style) and crispy fried spare ribs. They both come with white rice and steamed cabbage. Their mapo tofu and spare ribs with sauce were okay, but definitely still a worthwhile meal at seven bucks. Overall, highly recommend.

conveniently and inconspicuously located right off penn's campus, this food truck serves pretty standard chinese food. ordered the hunan chicken and service was really quick, though coming at a higher price than other food trucks, the meal left a bit to be desired. the portion size was good, but the chicken wasn't too flavorful. they only take cash too, which is something to keep in mind if you, like me, don't normally carry around cash. overall, decent spot if you want chinese food in a pinch, but if you want a good experience, there are better places to try.

Beef and broccoli was really yummy. Mapo tofu was pretty bland but I still love this place. It's worth trying anything at least once.

Located in the alley behind pottruck (upenn campus), this food truck attracts a fairly consistent and large lunch time crowd. I waited almost 20 minutes for my food which is a bit inconvenient. $4.50 for a large hunk of white rice, sesame chicken and veggies is a great price with unbeatable convenience. I will definitely be back to try their pork chop rice, which I saw a lot of other customers order.

Important notes: They usually run out of chow fun by 2 PM and restock around 5:15 PM. I was the unfortunate soul who came at 4:45 PM hoping to beat the dinner rush but instead was met with "we don't have any meat and also no chow fun". Literally walked from 40th street to eat pork chow fun -.- HOWEVER, when they do have all their ingredients, they give you super hefty portions that satisfy my chow fun cravings like no other. I'm pretty sure I can eat their entire chow fun box in less than 3 minutes. Great for the price, cash only and lunch waits can take a while so I'd recommend calling in beforehand.

This is among the best general Asian style food I've ever had. I had the General Tso's yesterday and the Orange Chicken today.
