In A Nutshell:-If you don't have a chance to catch the original Geno's location in Philly, you can grab some food at the airport.-The cheesesteak sandwich was good, but I wasn't 100% wow'd by it.-The service at this location is pretty dull & good.-You might as well automate the service here using A.I. & robots.Overall, I wasn't impressed w/ the Philly cheesesteak nor the service.

Disgusting!!!!! Soggy bread, inefficient, chef holds bread on his dirty apron. Greasing bag, sandwich fell through walking to my gate. The worst sandwich, quality.. gross Just now at airport.

Yeah, airport food, cheesesteak invented here in Philly? Skip this franchise- Bread, meat, two thin slices of provolone. No flavor, better off with street vendors or mom and pop stores.Do not recommend, $21 outrageous even for airport.

I'm mainly giving this a 3 because I haven't eaten in Philadelphia before, so this has no real comparison good or bad. If I ever do get to visit Philly proper, I'd love to know some favorite cheesesteak spots. :)Speaking of, I went classic on the cheesesteak here, only replacing the onions with peppers. It was a good sandwich and I have no complaints, nor do I have complaints about the employees. This is a fine choice for a layover in Philly. But because this is Philly, the cheesesteak will obviously be something travelers will go for. They want local favorites, so it makes sense to come here and so this place is in high demand.

If in airport and have plane to catch... skip this place... slow as molasses on a coldday. Employees are professionally certified in SWA ... simulated work activities 6 people working at slowest pace ever seen... wait 1/2 hour... subway next door or smash burger better options... Geno needs to get a manager there . 1st two bites of sandwich was all bread...Steak dry and overcooked. Not impressed... Guy and girl on grill so slow cooking , someone from back brought out a pan full of cooked steak to dump on grill???I hope or the real restaurant downtown is better than this... 16 bucks ... Subway or Smash burger or Love grill up the hall sells steak subs and guy was at least working at a pace of a person...

So there is always an argument about who makes the best Philly cheese steaks. Geno's is directly located across from Pat's Steakhouse. Both are a unique experience and both usually have a line around the block. Geno's is a bright orange store, open all the time. There is bench seating and a cool vibe do the colors. Parking is literally impossible. You have to drive around and around to get a spot. The shop host cheese steaks that are strips of steak rather then chopped meat. What stands out here is the bread which is super soft and makes the sandwich excellent. The staff is not always friendly. They seem annoyed and impatient. But, it kind of makes the experience whole in some crazy sort of way. I like Geno's. I do. I am always willing to stop here and grab a sandwich when in town.

I was told by my boss to go to genos because "it was the best ever" this place actually sucks I went to the one in the air port because I had a lay over when my colleague ask if they had a gluten free menu as she has a gluten allergy the worker asked what's gluten the steak itself tasted like it was freeze dried and then rehydrated the cheese tasted like actual plastic I payed 23 dollars (drink include in that price) for a subpar sandwich also I just have to say a bottle of water was 4.60 while soda was 3.20 in what world does water which is essential to living cost more than a soda if this is what phili has to offer when it comes to their fabled phili cheese steak sandwich I've had better in Virginia where I'm from

The steak sub like sandwiches at this restaurant taste like paper. Like paper. There are no other words to describe the cardboard tasing meat like substance they label as steak. People go to other restaurants that serve real food. This review is about the Geno's Steak restaurant in the Philadelphia airport.
