G Lodge Cafe

I'm not a potato lover, but the home fries here were outstanding. The omelette didn't look like much, but was actually delicious! Moist and not dry. They served the Rachel sandwich without the Russian dressing, so at first it was dry. Once they brought a side of it, my dining partner loved it. It was then "properly messy" and delicious. The vibe of the place is divey old school diner, my favorite breakfast type. It has the old counter stools and everything is authentic. It's probably been the same for the last 50 years. Good food. Good vibe! I've been driving past this place for many years and there's always a ton of cars in front. Glad I finally had a chance to stop in. My only advice to them is to update the menu to describe the name of the dishes. If you're not a regular, you don't know what anything is. Had to ask the waitress about numerous items, and this can easily be avoided by a description on the menu.

The best breakfast in the philly suburbs. This is the best pancake I've had in my life. No doubt. I love the g lodge cafe. It's so cozy and delicious. We come here regularly and are quite pleased with both the service and the food. Even cooler: The Happening filmed a scene here! It's the best cozy cabin vibe around, I can't wait to come around Christmas time. Definitely come before 8:30AM on a weekend. The line was outrageous by the time we were served food last weekend. We arrived around 8:15 am and it was already packed; just two of us so we sat at the counter ! Then shortly after we just heard tons of people piling in asking for seating and there was a wait. Most epic place in the area for sure , don't miss out on G lodge! Loads better than the crappy cafes in the town of Phoenixville.

Food, service, atmosphere - everything is awesome about G Lodge. If you love diners, breakfast, lunch, supporting local, friendly people, fireplace, or stain glass windows definitely stop by.

Different cheesesteak #1,000 in the last four years. I love Jim T's cooking and this is old building. Mark Wahlburg filmed a movie here with M Night Shyamalan. Jim cooks a very good ribeye. When I go back I am going to get the ribeye in one of the other 5 menu items. Probably the cheesesteak omelette. Everything was good, for me it just didn't work as a cheesesteak. I don't hate kaiser rolls. It had a good amount of cheese surrounding the meat but I like it mixed together. Jim's ribeye doesn't really need mushrooms and onions but mushrooms and onions can enhance good ribeye. I would have liked more mushrooms and onions.

Great place for breakfast. The atmosphere feels like an old fashioned diner. The service was good and kind. The most impressive thing was that our waitress knew what i meant when I ordered "dippy eggs". Made me feel at home.

Fabulous quaint spot that was able to accommodate our large party. We had everything from scrapple to waffles to steaks and burgers. Worth the stop - eat

Sure it's oddly dated. Like a cross between my moms early 70's Colonial living room set and a 50's diner. I mean this in a nice nostalgic way. The service was pleasant and the owner has a really cute dog. The food was spot on. Crispy grilled cornbread, friend had a perfectly cooked omelette and I had bacon crispy and eggs with hash browns. It was all delicious . It's on the expensive side but breakfast is cheap even when it's expensive. Right by Valley Forge park so you can stop before or after.

The food here was so good. I had the meat lovers omelet, home fries with onions, an English muffin and a sweet tea. Next time I'll try the sweet iced coffee. There was a wait but it wasn't too long. All of the staff was very welcoming and attentive. Defiantly will be back.

A go to neighborhood place even though I live 6 hours away! Food is delicious and service with a smile. It's a very old fashioned homey atmosphere.
