"Great vibes here love the drinks at this spot always good I enjoy the vibe happy hour good even if you miss it the bill still be chilling"
"For a place that looks like nothing from the outside, it's quite beautiful inside!Sometimes you need something to revive your cocktail palate from vodka boredom...and a good quality tequila can be just the answer. The cocktails here are expertly crafted (many are tequila-forward) and our friend was flipping out over how delicious the Chanoc was. If you like cilantro, then this is the cocktail for you. The rest of our crew enjoyed our jalapeno margaritas. Nice kick of heat, but nothing that will set your stomach ablaze. I also especially love bartenders who provide water without having to ask. If you keep your cocktail-to-water ratio equal, then you will never experience a hangover! We only stopped in for drinks, but one member of our party ordered the Sopa De Tortilla, and she was "oohing" and "ahhing" the entire time. Broth based, and chock full of queso fresco and chicken. It was a texture lover's dream. The tortilla chips are made in-house and we could have easily eaten a vat of them if given the option. This is a perfect spot for a date (music is low and classy) and the ambiance is swank-tastic. Love the chandelier in the center of the bar area. Can't wait to return for that soup!"

"Stopped by Mission Taqueria for happy hour (4-6pm). I arrived at 4:15pm and it was not busy but by 5:30pm it was packed. I ordered from the happy hour menu ( nothing I ordered was over $7)- the strawberry sangria, 2 chicken tacos, ESQUITES, rice& beans, and QUESO GRINGO. Everything was delicious! It was a mixed crowd from business men in suits to college students."
"Big portions. Good service. Good food.Esquites Guacamole $16 lots of chips and good amount of dipOptopus Al Pastor $16 soft, flavorful, potatoes that came with it was a nice touchBrisket Enchiladas $17 came out nice and hot! Be careful! Was good.Sweet Plantains $8 great snack even after taking it home for the next dayEverything we ordered was great portion size to share among the two of us."
"Had five stars but my last visit something kinda gross happened. I love this place, don't get me wrong. The food is some of the best mexican in the city. They have a beautiful outside section and the indoors is cozy and well decorated. However, last time I went my water was served to me in a dirty cup. There was a lip stick stain on the lip of my cup and I took a sip before I noticed!!! The server seemed unapologetic but replaced the cup (which i obviously still didn't drink from). For the rest of my meal he would come up to us and just stand silently look at us for a bit too long before speaking. Every time he came over it just felt so awkward. Other than that I used to ADORE this place. I'm upset that my last experience wasn't too good."
"Dined in at Loco Pez with my friend, and we decided to eat at the bar. The staff were attentive and cool.Ordered a margarita and shared nachos with queso, which I liked. For my main, had the camarones (fried shrimp) tacos, which I thought were good."
"Wow. We have dined here before and it has always been good. Today is was great, one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I started with the lemon ginger honey tea which exceeded my expectations. All the ingredients were FRESH, no tea. For lunch my husband and I shared the brisket tacos and seafood soup. I started with the brisket tacos w/ consommé... I can't believe how good they were. The consommé was so rich and complex, the brisket crispy yet juicy. The seafood soup was made with guajillo and tomato broth served with the perfect crusty bread. I ate it until I could not eat anymore. Atmosphere is welcoming and authentic. The barista was friendly and knew what he was doing. We live this place, you will too."
"No reason to give this less than 5 stars as a take out option. Portions were generous and it wasn't too expensive (a blessing these days). The staff was friendly inside and I can tell they're nice people. Whenever I walk by there's always a large group dining in the small but cozy space. Flautas were actually delicious and the queso transferred well to go! My friend loved her burrito. Will be back!"
"For some reason I thought this place would be light bright but it's a very dark pub bar sort of feel. I opted for just the empanadas which isn't really ground chicken as described on the menu but more pulled. I reallyyyy enjoyed them. My friends had the quesabirria which they liked - very filling. It's been awhile since I've had a good margarita and this place had some good ones. I had the pineapple jalapeño. We also did 6 shots of patron ($90) which was a wee bit pricey but to fair they were pretty hefty shots. Id come here for drinking and apps again but not for dinner."
"When I tell you I used to come here ALL the time, I'm not kidding. I used to go to the location they had before this one....that's making sound really old lolHaven't been here in a minute and I'm so glad it was just as good as it always has been!I got my favorite chicken quesadilla. Of course we started with chips and cheese dip! They do provide the tables with complementary chips and salsa which is always good!"
"Alex was our wonderful server. I really felt so well taken care of .He gave such lovely recommendations .I ordered the caldo chicken avocado soup..It tasted so great... Felt like I was in someone's home in cuernavaca enjoying such a wonderful meal. My friends enjoyed there meals as well. A delightful time and the staff was so accommodatingThe ambience-artwork and seating so relaxing and inviting. So delightful and colorful. I would definitely come back!"

My bf and I love coming here for dinner. We never make it in time for happy hour and never tried brunch, but their dinner menu is great.Love the ambiance and the staff are all very friendly. Multitaskers. One night my waitress was also the host. Last night my water was also a bartender. Busy but still very attentive! Nachos are good and easy appetizer to share for a few bucks. Both the red and green are spicy. We love the chopped salad and ordered it twice. Once with grilled chicken and the other time with shrimp. Delicious and a dish I highly recommend sharing and pairing with something else. The enchiladas verde that's on their special is a hit! Delicious, filling and flavorful! The chicken quesadilla in the other hand gets two thumbs down. Wasn't terrible but not a dish we would reorder.Love their city wide specials and a great date night spot!

Tequila's has been a mainstay in Philly since 1986. I stopped by for a Winter Restaurant Week 2023 dinner at the bar, realizing it has been far too many years since my last visit. The bar area was very lively. Since it was also Happy Hour, I was able to get a discounted Daquari. It was perfectly mixed and I'll just say I didn't stop at one. Soon after i got my first drink a plate of chips and salsa arrived. This comes with the meal. It kept me satisfied as ordered and waited for my meal. The restaurant week menu was impressive. I opted for the TAQUITOS DE POLLO appetizer. It's chicken wrapped up in a corn tortilla topped with salsa. A tasty appetizer that got the meal off to a good start. My entree was the ENCHILADAS PLAYA. It's a steal at Reataurant Week prices. It's crabmeat, lobster, shrimp, and peppers wrapped in a flour tortilla and then covered with melted cheese. It's an outstanding dish. I devoured every drop. If it's on the restaurant week menu moving forward you do not want to skip it. It just happened to be national chocolate cake day when I was there, so I got the CHOCOLATE MOUSSE cake for dessert instead of the Tres Leches, which I have had before and remember it being very good. I was happy with my decision. A delectable dessert that is a unique take on the chocolate cake. At the end of my meal I felt really silly for letting so many years go by without going back to Tequila's. I will not make the same mistake again!

I have been to Mission Taqueria several times but my recent visit was the most pleasant. My husband and I grabbed dinner with our friend Connor. We all shared the chips and guac and a pitcher of the classic margarita to start. I ordered the Nuevo Chicken tacos, my husband had the carnitas, and our friend had the beef barbacoa. For dessert we shared the churros. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Our server Sean was so friendly and attentive the whole evening, making sure we didn't need anything and that our water was constantly refilled! The only issue we had was that the restaurant was super loud which I know is hard to control, so we will probably just plan to go later or earlier than right around happy hour next time.

I had a good time here! There is a lot of space, but they took a while to get us in which was absurd because it wasn't really busy -- however food came fast and service was overall good! The portions of tacos were fair, but we also came out happy hour, so I don't know if I would pay full price for the tacos! They were yummy but I wasn't blown away! I liked how the regular guac was a little bit spicy and they had interesting variations of the guacamole, like yellowfin etc.

Love this place! Totally casual with great tunes and odd shows and/or movies on the TV. Nat is a great bartender who's ready to lend an ear and makes great cocktails! The Fairlane is my favorite with pineapple. My husband always gets a skinny. Great specials like the picture of the Queso Mac n cheese. Their wings and chicken sandwiches are to die for, and they typically have food specials starting at 5 PM every night. If you're not in the mood for gringo food, they have wonderful burritos, quesadillas, tacos, etc. The chips and pico are phenomenal, always made fresh! Don't forget to ask for their trio of salsa. The one thing you shouldn't bother asking for is a frozen margarita because they may throw you out, lol. They have a large bar area or you can sit in the actual restaurant itself. We typically can find street parking without issue, but there is no parking lot at this location in Fishtown.

I returned here today and had a very good Mexican burrito, with steak. As before, they brought chips and 2 salsas, one a creamy one. Seats at lunchtime were scarce, but I joined a group of 4 who were happy to share. I knocked off a star because, just like on my last visit, the bill was higher than what the menu said, $15 instead of $12. Some of that was tax, sure, but still, I hate surprises. So be ready for that.I just noticed they are using the 2019 picture I took as the lead photo atop this page. Yay for me.

"The food here is great!! I love love their nachos! Love the picked onions and the "expensive cheese" that they use lol. The burrito my husband got had a little too much rice and beans. Their chicken tinga is flavored well. Ive also had their korean inspired dishes and loved the fusion flavor. I have gotten food through door dash and also sat their to eat and both experiences were good! Great mexican food in the neighborhood."
"Coyote Crossing is a hidden gem that we recently discovered in Conshohocken, and I am so glad we did! The decor is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors and eye-catching artistic views that make you feel like you've been transported to another world. The restaurant is split into three separate sections, an enclosed dining room, a bar area with high tables, and an expansive dreamy outdoor area.We started our meal with the Ceviche Cancun, which was absolutely delicious. The octopus was cooked to perfection and the flavors were bursting with freshness. We also tried the Smoked Corn Guacamole, which was a unique twist on a classic dish. The seafood tacos were also a standout, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that made for a delicious meal. The kids' chicken tacos were also a hit, with tender and juicy chicken that even the pickiest eaters would love. To drink, we had the espresso martini and classic mimosa, which were both perfectly crafted and went perfectly with our meal. Our waitress, Alejandra, was an absolute doll. She was attentive without being overbearing, and friendly, and gave great suggestions. My only gripe would be the bar area chairs. They were just a bit cumbersome for someone of my height (5'2).Overall, I highly recommend Coyote Crossing for a unique and delicious dining experience."
"Staff? Lovely. Food? Godly. The birria tacos were so juicy I almost shed a tear - drench it with sauce and dunk it in the soup. The chicken quesadilla were surprisingly light yet full of flavor. I think this may be my new favorite Mexican in Philly. Till next time, mi amor, Cafe Ynez."
"3/21/24 I was between a 2 1/2-3 star review here. I enjoy plaza Aztecas it's a beautiful restaurant. I've been pleased with my food and have been here a handful of times. I don't live in the area so it's a treat- usually- for me to visit here. The server was friendly but my biggest gripe is that she wasn't present. We saw her when she took our order and when she brought the check. Someone else delivered our appetizers and someone else delivered our entrees. The food was delicious and we did not wait long - but there was no check back after we got our meals- we weren't offered refills or anything. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. We also sat for a while with our plates before we got the check. When our server finally came over she asked how everything turned out- at least 15 minutes after we had finished our meals. What good is that? What if there was a problem with our meals?? I think there was one server maybe for the whole dining room? She was trying for sure but I have to be fair in my reviews. A certain level of service is expected. The food is not cheap there and the service was definitely lacking. I hope for a better experience next time I come back."
"My co-workers and I were in the mood for some Mexican food and were looking for a place that delivers to our office building and found this place. The tacos were good and filling! They also listened to my special requests of having no tomatoes or sour cream, which I appreciated."
"My husband and I just moved here from San Francisco, where good, authentic Mexican food is plentiful. We were a bit skeptical of finding a good spot in Philly, but Que Chula Es Puebla is a winner! I had the chiles rellenos, which had this thick eggy batter with a soft tomato-y sauce on top, a style I've never had before, and it was super tasty. Husband had chicken fajitas, and the chicken was tender and juicy, the flavors great. Our friends enjoyed their quesabirria and chimichangas. Their salsas are flavorful and pack a spice wallop, which I loved, and came free with a plate of thick warm chips topped with refried beans and cotija. Service was a smidge slow, but friendly. Prices are okay. Lots of seating in a casual environment. Will definitely be back to try more!"
"Had a taco craving while in the city, so I swung by Northern Liberties to check some options. I have been to Anejo before, but tricked myself into thinking there might be something else in that area. WRONG! My senses led me right back to Anejo (I should have known better, lol). Anyway, I walked into the establishment and realized that I had just made it in time for Happy Hour. YAY! That made me really HAPPY! I quickly grabbed a table outside and began looking over the Happy Hour Menu. Now, I must admit, there were lots of options on the menu, which made me pleasantly surprised. You have $3.00 beer options, $5 wine options, and a mixture of cocktails. Additionally, you have 4 taco choices 5/6 other side order or appetizer choices. I can't remember them all, but I did go with the red sangria, fish taco, elotes, chicken empanada and rice + beans (regular side). The waiter brought out the fish taco first. It was small, but filled with a nice portion of fish and some sort of jalapeño slaw. Yum!!! The fish was flaky and the sweet heat from the slaw was perfect. Next, the rice and beans are probably my favorite side at Anejo. I don't know what they use to make them, but I could literally eat an entire bowl of rice and beans by myself. They are a MUST if you decide to try this place. Next up, my elotes. I felt the elote was tasty. I would have liked to taste more of the cotija cheese rather than the chile powder. I felt the powder overwhelmed the flavor of the elote. However, I still devoured it. Now, by the time I got to my empanada, I was completely full. So, I can't give a review of it this time. I did have empanadas during a previous visit and I remember loving the complex flavors of the chicken and green salsa at that time. Yesterday's visit just reminded me of why I keep coming back to Anejo and how much I enjoy my dining experiences there. I'll be back again really soon."
"I have been reading about this place on the Philly subreddit, and the Al Pastor pizza totally lived up to the hype. I only had the appetite for 1 small pizza but plan to try their other specialties like the Chicken Mole Burrito and Birria Pizza soon. We ate it at one of the outdoor tables but take out/delivery is probably the best option as seating is limited and the pizzas are served HOT! Service is not the fastest but I don't blame them as they are super popular and busy. So make sure you order ahead of time."
"Delicious Mexican food with yummy margaritas! Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. FYI: the whole restaurant is open like a covered patio. It was a hot day but the fans kept it pretty cool. The staff was very accommodating with my 83 year old mom and my husband who need to be near a fan. The place has a relaxed vibe. The margaritas were very good. Our server asked if we wanted sugar or salt. The food was delicious! The empanadas were nicely fried without being greasy. The birria tacos had tender beef, good flavor and the dipping broth was tasty. The chicken tacos also had good flavor and weren't overly spicy."
"I am rarely in center city, but always make a point to stop in after a visit to the Dr's office across the street. The food here is always fresh and service is quick and friendly! I highly recommend the spicy beef as your protein choice."
"Very solid Mexican place. This will now be in our rotation of restaurants when we are in the area. A lot of people ordered take out but I don't think that most Mexican dishes travel very well. For instance, the tortilla chips looked homemade and amazing but would be soggy nachos in no time flat. The prices were reasonable but I felt like the amount of meat used in the fajitas was a bit skimpy. Plenty of peppers and onions but honestly struggled to get a bit of pork into every bite while I was making my 3 small tortillas. The kid's cheese quesadilla was delish (I helped finish the large portion) but my daughter was actively going back and forth from the fries to the quesadilla. The beef quesadilla was also on point. My wife finished it and was quite happy with her choice. My sister-in-law got the wet burrito and was unable to finish it because of it's massive size. But she also spoke very highly of it. The two of them split the flan but I was saving room for Handel's Ice Cream as it was on our way home.It was a bit cold inside as if they were trying to save money on the heating bill, the waiter was in a legitimate jacket during the meal and I kept mine on as well. The bathroom did not have a diaper changing table which wasn't ideal. Between these couple issues and the lack of meat in the fajitas, I can't in good conscious award them 5 stars, but if they fixed a few of these things they could easily have that."
"I came to Xolo Tacos with the in-laws to try something new. We ate outside in their tent on the side of their parking lot. They brought out tortilla chips and a few sauces. I preferred the spicy salsa, good heat but had even better flavor. I got the al pastor fajitas, my wife got enchiladas and split them with our daughter. My mother-in-law got the taco salad and my father-in-law the burrito. Everyone was pleased with our meal. For the quality of the meal the price point was really good. The staff was very attentive and made sure we had refills on sodas and that our order came out correctly. I could definitely see us coming back at some point soon. The Bryn Mawr/ Ardmore / Haverford area is really saturated with really good Hispanic restaurants and Xolo Taco's is now in the rotation for us."
"Tamalexian--verb.Of utmost deliciousness; hearty and homecooked. The best food in Philly, period."
"I have never had a meal or visit here that wasn't top notch! It's consistently great every single time! Service, food and atmosphere! Always wonderful!!"
"Excellent Mexican! great service and friendly staff. Loved the shrimp and chicken fajitas. They come out in a sizzling platter and are seasoned perfectly. The chicken and shrimp were tender and the dish was well presented. Nice size portion and it came with rice, black beans and pico. Loved the corn tortillas too. A nice added touch was the complimentary chips with sour cream and black beans. Loved the two spicy salsas as well.Dining here was being transported to Mexico for the day. Highly recommend!"
"While visiting from out of state, we popped into this small taco spot, and it was a delicious experience! You get the ease of ordering on a tablet which made the process quick and convenient. I loved the option to select different types of tacos when ordering a 2 taco combo - a great way to sample their variety. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious, from the flavorful tacos to the spicy cucumbers and the tasty rice & beans. The quick service was also a plus. Highly recommended!"
"Have been to their other location, so stopped in here as I know they have good food. Same great menu is available here as well, and there is some nice outdoor sidewalk seating in a quieter street. Basket of tortilla chip with salsa verde and roja brought out before your meal which is great and very welcome. Love their horchata as well, perfect on a hot summer day. The birria taco with consomme was excellent as well. Nice tender meat with right amount of other toppings. Broth could have used a bit more kick though it is still great. Quick service and good value. Overall great just as expected. Thanks"
"We were craving tacos and since I had a client meeting not too far away we decided to try this place out. Located on a corner and occupying a large space at the onset of main Street and Arch Streeti n Norristown, La Michoacana was a welcome find. Clean, vibrant, friendly, attentive and inviting would be some great descriptors however I feel that where this restaurant earned a 5 star from me is the fact that the food was fresh and delicious and that the customer experience and care was so thoughtful. We ordered shrimp tacos and quesadilla. The quesadilla came with veg inside, which was mentioned in the menu but we thought it would be along with as opposed to inside. Clearly our mistake and we asked for that to go. The server asked if it was okay and we explained that we made a mistake (my love does not like to eat vegetables) and would like to take it to go. The server took the plate back to the kitchen. When he returned without the to go box he told us they were going to redo it. We protested several times letting him know that it was no problem. It was our mistake and we would gladly take it as I would eat it later (probably give it to a homeless person). He insisted that the kitchen was already redoing the order. So we thanked him and a few minutes later a fresh steak and cheese quesadilla with meat and cheese only, arrived. It was delicious. I know what you may be thinking. It's just a quesadilla, tortilla, meat and cheese right?!?!? No, nope, nadda. I say, each component was well seasoned and fresh and well executed. I feel like a restaurant that can execute the basics of their cuisine on an exceptional manner is the foundation and building blocks of more complicated dishes. Needless to say, the kind care and flavors took my 4 star to a 5."
"I went to the coffee shop they have downstairs at the MOTTO Ordered a horchata latte. And a ham and cheese empanada. Omg the empanada is so good. Flaky and there was salsa roja inside it when i took a bite. I definitely recommend! If i come back to PHILLY I'll go again. Perfect service."
"Finally made it over to Los Camaradas. The food is great, the staff is very friendly, and the place has a great local restaurant feel located right in the middle of a residential area of grad hospital. We ordered the Pollo Enchiladas and the Chicken Tinga Burrito. Both were plentiful in size and flavorful in taste. The place was packed (inside and outside) for a Tuesday, so I think others in the area feel the same positive vibes for this establishment. I really liked the decor as well. Lots of "day of the dead" type artwork in and around the bar area. We will certainly be back, the next time the Mexican food urge hits us."
"They make their empanadas in an old shed right on the lot which is a little horrifying but they look quite good lol. Bring cash, wear a coat or sunglasses cos you're sitting outside and be patient, the kitchen does a fine job on their tacos and that fine job takes a while. Not cheap at $6 to 8 per taco, each a single soft corn shell. No veggie taco although there is a veggie burrito. Bring a drink from the Tiki bar next door!I tried the crispy chicken tacos, maybe because it was the first menu item and I couldn't make up my mind? Those shells were absolutely stuffed with meat and ancho mayo, topped with shredded white cheese & a little lettuce, served with a lime wedge. Excellent, $12 with tax, that seemed a little high."
"7 years after my last review of them, and let me take the opportunity to upgrade them for two reasons. One, the food merits it. My wife raved about the Huevos Rancheros. I raved about the smoked pork omelette which had a real nice smoke to the meat. And my boy loved the chocolate chip pancake. I must say that pancake deserves special mention. It comes off the grill with the perfect balance of crispness and fluffiness. Second, the staff has an attitude, and I mean that in the best way. Genuinely friendly and a little sarcastic. Perfect for Delco."
"Excellent and *huge* tacos. I had the Tingas and the mango habañaero margarita with the spicy salt. Taqueria was park of my Manayunk starter pack -- my next trip back will be during the week for happy hour."
