"Koreana has wonderful service and a solid menu (plus wide assortment of drinks) that you can eat-in at a mix of high and low top tables), take-out, have delivered, or have catered!Greatly enjoyed the sweet-and-sour tofu lunch bento box, which came with a side of veg, a side of white rice, a side of japchae (sweet potato noodles), two mandu (fried dumplings), and a small bowl of (delicious!) miso soup. Will be back to try more offerings!"
"*3.5/5HMart food courts can be very hit or miss; Joonghwa Roo's jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) is a soft hit. For less than $11 and a not-long but also not-short wait, the jjamppong arrives in a bowl larger than my face, and my face be kinda fat too (so that's saying something). Point is: she hefty. It's a precarious walk from the restaurant counter to the table, but once your tray is set, it's time to dig in. I got a few slices of pickled radish as banchan (side dish), which refreshingly counteracted the hot soup. By 'hot' I mean warm; despite the red tone, the jjamppong is mildly spicy at best. It's not Michelin-star Korean food by any means, but this jjamppong is satisfying and hearty -- full of mushrooms, onions, scallions, carrots, and other delinchus veggies. There's also a fine assortment of once-frozen shrimp, squid, and more thrown in. The noodles are thicc, chewy, and pair perfectly with the rest of the soup. I ended up saving the rest for a later meal -- that's a win."

"They're apparently still in their soft opening until spring, so you either have to order and pay on site or give your credit card information over the phone because you can't order online yet. They don't have a site yet and if you try to Google their menu it's not the same as other franchises, so I'd just go based off the pics you see on here. For 3 people we ordered the following for takeout, which was enough for us:* large half & half (20 wings, honey garlic & hot king) - I loveeee crispy fried chicken rather than wings that have a super wet and messy sauce. The sauce was crystallized on the outside and had the exact crunch I like. I'm definitely a honey garlic gal, and I'm glad I didn't get the extra hot king because I can't handle it if it's too spicy. I think they gave us two radish orders free with this and you just +$1 if you mix flavors* two dumpling orders (7 wings each with sauce) - also crispy just how I like them! I think they mentioned a couple different options but I got the mixed meat one...I think it was chicken, pork, and beef? The food was ready within 10-15 minutes of placing the order over the phone and they came in takeout containers packed pretty tight so they didn't budge when driving home. I'm excited for them to expand the menu and I want to try more items in the future (maybe even eventually dine in)!"
"My friends and I were a group of 5 people, and we came to So Korean Grill one night for dinner. We ordered Set B, which serves 3-4 people, and added on an extra order of egg souffle and some seafood pancakes. The banchan were unlimited, and the staff refilled them upon request. The meats were fresh, high-quality, well-marinated, tender, and not overly salty. All of the food was so good. It was a lot of food, and we were so satisfyingly stuffed. If everyone is extremely hungry, then Set B is good for 3-4 people. Otherwise, Set B with some add-ons is a good amount for 4-5 people. Despite it being super busy and short-staffed, the staff did a great job. The service was a little slow, but they were really great about consistently changing out the grills. They also helped with grilling and cutting the meat.So Korean Grill is located in the same plaza as H Mart and is super convenient for getting groceries and a meal in one visit. It is not AYCE KBBQ, but the meat is really good. It is a pricey meal, but it is worth the money."
"SIPS REVIEWWell I didn't come for SIPS exclusively but I frankly didn't have a choice. They seat you far back in the restaurant but there is a a DJ which is cute. Yet the menu is way limited. Definitely not as inclusive as their happy hour menu BUT it does do it's part."
"Came here with a group of 12 and it was great! This was our first time here and definitely not our last! We ordered a lot of food but our favorite was the Marinated galbi and the pork. The sides were also really tasty we enjoyed the kimchi radish and salad. We also enjoyed the soups, the kimchi soup was spicy and the soy bean soup was very tasty. Service was great we had a few servers help us cook the food and made sure it was made to our liking and once cooked they moved it to a bowl so the meat did not over cook.Parking was just okay, the close parking spots had a 2 hr limit and it's just a little walk to the other parking spots."
"Jajangmyun is solid here, exactly what you would expect. Would recommend coming here if you are stopping by hmart!"
"There a couple of Korean BBQ restaurants near me in Ardmore but have a limited selection of the hot post stew style dishes which I crave. Before I did monthly bulk Asian grocery haul at H-Mary I had to get my favorite stew- yukgaejang in the food court. The menu has wide variety of stews, noodle soup and bbq. Watching the other orders- all look so delicious. My stew had tender shredded beef, glass noodles and some dried Vegetable roots and mushrooms ( don't know the types- but delicious.) and green onions in a spicy beef broth. Comes with a bowl of rice, Kim chee and a side of the day( this time it was boiled peanuts) I take a scoop of rice in the broth with the big spoon they give you and it is so comforting. I want to try anther stew but I keep ordering yuk gae jang ! Prices are significantly reasonable compared to the sit restaurants I've been in Blue Bell and elsewhere. I will be back on my next grocery trip! Tip: you return your tray to the counter when you are done eating. Napkins are ice cream napkins - I bring extra ones Lol. Also bring wipes to clean the table- I don't see anyone cleaning up in food court."
"As a Korean, I am so glad that Koreana opened another location in Philadelphia because they make the best Korean food in Center City. I ordered Yukgae jang (육개장) which is a soup made with gochujang and beef. The broth is similar to soon dubu jjigae if you're familiar with it, but more rich from the beef added to it. It was a very delicious yukgae jang to eat on a cold day. It contained onions, scallions, and lots of bean sprouts. I also ordered a bulgogi rice bowl (served in a dolsot). It was also very good! I wish the bulgogi had more marinate drizzled on it. Gochujang was served on the side so that you can add whatever amount of spice you like! The sunny side up egg on top was great too. The store has a fast casual vibe, so you pay upfront and then you can sit down. The owners were polite as well. They also provide a service where you can buy kimchi and some homemade banchans/side dishes along with Korean snacks and drinks that you can take home. I'm excited to see more Korean food in Philly!"
"DELICOUS! That one word could summarize my experience trying various dishes at this Korean restaurant. The menu is simple and the ambiance is bold. ENVIRONMENTAs evidenced in the pictures the ceiling are high and the room is moody and inviting. Each visit I'm greeted warmly by the staff and typically have no trouble grabbing a table. Although, the business is becoming more bustling since it first opened so I would quickly pay a visit before it gets difficult in the future.FOODSweet! Savory! Spicy! My oh my the spices at times almost didn't play nice(my sinuses took a hit) but it was mighty alright. Choose your corresponding spice level wisely! With that said, there was no dish that was a disappointment. You'd be doing yourself a disservice to skip over this delicatable spot nestled in Older City. Happy Eating!"
"Dumplings!!!! Steamed or fired, you can't go wrong.Chinese food, cooked by Koreans. What could be better? Definitely better than average Chinese food."
"Got a recommendation online for this place as my child loves Korean food and language, so we went out of our way to find it. First, it had parking which is rare and wonderful. The dining area was large and the sunny hostess sat us right away. (Ordered lots of dishes to try - our waitress kindly didn't tease us for over ordering, we really wanted to bring a lot home, so it was on purpose.)Everything came super fresh, piping hot in a stone pot, w lots of control over the spice level which we really appreciated. The kimchee was tasty, my bibimbap was excellent and my daughter got great advice about what soup to choose and how to eat it traditionally from a beautiful mother at the next table. She said this place makes the best Kimchee Soon Du Bu and my daughter totally agreed. The pickled radish w jalapeño was also amazing and she told us about how easy it was to make at home, which my daughter loves to do- try to cook things at home. (This generous woman stopped at H mart down the street while we were finishing our lunch and brought her back some radish to try and prepare at home! Unforgettable.)The whole lunch experience was the perfect rainy afternoon and we were so blessed to have shared in the culture of people so proud of their delicious food who took such care of us!"

Koreana reminds me of college (RIP UPenn location). While this place doesn't have the same feel, it was cool to see their menu with pictures of the food on the wall. You have to order up at the front but food is brought to you when it is ready. The lunch special is pretty interesting. They have several bento boxes to choose from. We got the beef bulgogi. It is definitely a good size for one person. It came with rice, miso soup, bulgogi (which was delicious), broccoli, and dumplings. The place also has a ton of Korean drinks to try out and some of the popular Korean snacks. While this place isn't as good as the original Koreana, it still adds a smile to my face!

The Upper Darby H-mart food court is one of the smaller ones in the Philadelphia area, but this is one of my preferred spots. Both the Jjajangmyun and Shrimp Fried Rice (with jjajang sauce on the side) are tasty and cheap, and the food comes out quickly so you can enjoy lunch before shopping at the H-mart. The 3.5/5 score is apt but it's tasty food that hits the spot when you want some Korean-Chinese fusion. It's also the tastiest takeout spot in the food court, but I am partial to this food in general.

The promise of crispy fried chicken, described by fellow yelpers, lured me to this spot sitting at the corner of Girard and Marshall streets, in what is now known as Northern Liberties. Hunger and fatigue made me forget to snap views of business. But, The interior was well-lit and very clean. Glass refrigerators displayed their wide selection of beer to the left and the cash register sat to the right with the open kitchen behind. There is inside seating for those inclined to get to their meals hot off the presses. Parking on street. We got 10 soy garlic and 1/2,1/2 (5 each) hot and honey soy. The bill was $31 and change and credit card info was required for phone orders. Wings were ready in the timeframe promised. We preferred the soy garlic and hot, the honey soy was just okay. We do like spicy food, but after trying the hot, we agreed that we probably would not have been able to handle the extra hot version they also offer. The chicken was cooked pretty perfectly-crispy outside and moist inside. The glazes were very flavorful and well balanced, but we did feel like after the exterior was gone, the interior lacked any seasoning. Still, they satisfied our crispy wing cravings.

If you're looking for a good place to eat some Korean bbq, then So Korean Grill is definitely worth a trip. The restaurant is tucked next to H-Mart. The restaurant was clean and modern in terms of layout. Grills are also modern where the smoke is pulled under the grill so you don't smell like Korean bbq afterwards. The menu offers different sets from A-C, where each set offers the perfect amount of food per person. My party of 6 went with set B and ordered galbi a la carte on the side. Eat of the meats and dishes were fresh and deliciously seasoned. My favorite was the spicy squid and the spicy pork. Both had a great spicy kick. The galbi was also super flavorful and definitely worth a try. Wait staff was super helpful and kind. They were very insightful and helped us chose a good option for our party. Definitely recommend!

My friends randomly invited me out to 1225Raw when i was having a really bad day. When I got there before my friends, I stood outside and didn't really feel up to interacting with anyone. This attitude took a quick 180 once I was approached by the "security manager" (i believe) who noticed i was alone, asked me how I was doing, and offered me a free drink from a promotion they were doing that day. Of course I would never say no to a free drink, so I was led to their super cute outdoor seating area and was instantly surprised at the decor and the fun, energetic vibes of SIPS wednesday. I wasn't planning on eating until I saw their happy hour/sips menu and saw the kimchi fried rice. I had never had kimchee in my fried rice before and i wasn't too excited about the sunny side up egg that i could not get removed, but once i placed it to the side, the dish was AMAZING. The fried rice is a little spicy, but is perfect once paired with soy sauce. The drinks were pretty amazing too. The service staff were pretty busy and hard to get ahold of (as to be expected during SIPS), but they were still pretty friendly. I have actually been back twice since then. The second time, i tried their dumplings which were also really good. I highly recommend!

This place is awesome. We don't get many date nights but when we do Salt is almost always our go to. We went early evening last night with our baby and they accommodated us/the baby very well. The young man who was serving/cooking was great. Our favorite cook we've had here. Explained everything to us but also let us conversate with one another as well. The food is amazing. We've enjoyed all the meat we've had here but the marinated Galbi keeps bringing us back. So flavorful and tender. We really enjoy this place. To management, we asked you for the bill but it was NOT because our server was inattentive at all. He was GREAT. We just realized what time it was and needed to get back to get our kids in bed.

Entry: (1 Star) The H-Mart food court entry is cumbersome. Patrons must enter through the grocery store, walk to the far end of the produce at the far wall of the store, and then walk all the way to the other wall with no re-entry. Entry takes about 175 steps. Food quality: We love the jjajangmyun, champong, and beef tangsuyuk. It's definitely a favorite that brings us back. The bibimbap is normal. Food quantity: The quality lowered significantly since opening. We consistently visited once a month since opening. And it gets smaller almost every time. We used to have leftovers and now we don't. Service: It was very enthusiastic at the beginning but it is very typical of an Hmart food court. Overall: Have visited many times and we come for the food. Five Stars! The service is either par or slightly above par.

One floor above the Upper Darby H-Mart, Jian Korean Cuisine sits in the far corner of the food court. There's a sizable menu of classic Korean dishes -- you got your jjigaes, your pancakes, your bokkeumbaps. I stared at the menu for a solid 7 minutes before settling on the Kimchi Dol-Sot (hot stone pot rice).Uh... it's alright. Banchan (side dishes) of radish (aight), miso soup (ok), and pickles with sesame seeds (not today, not ever). The audible crackle of the stone pot was the best part of the meal lowkey. It was a very average Korean meal, and tasted like a sauce dump. Sadly, Philly seems to be somewhat devoid of good Korean food (someone please change my mind on this!), although this would be considered decent on Philly standards.

"As soon as we got out from the parking lot, we could smell the barbecue. What makes this place special is that they use charcoal instead of gas. The waiter cooks the meat for you. The cooked meat was put on the side so that it wasn't overcooked. I picked beef tongue. Very short cook time because they were thinly sliced. I dipped them in the sauce that came with the order. Rich in umami flavor. The marinated beef and pork was well seasoned and not overly saturated salty soy sauce. They provide several side dishes but the portion was very small. The lettuce was fresh and big, perfect to wrap the meat.I ordered hot Korean tea. Unfortunately, they served the piping hot tea in a plastic jar. High risk of chemical leeching. It's not a BYOB , you can buy beer there"
"Absolutely fantastic experience and food every single time. We ordered:Mandoo soup (no picture)Miso soup (no picture)Polar bear roll (no picture)Godzilla rollSeafood teriyaki Stone bowl bibimbap (seafood)Soon doo boo (vegan)Pork guiEveryone enjoyed what they ordered and I tried everything and it was all fantastic. The service is top notch and the restaurant is family owned and operated. If you're looking for authentic Korean food and high quality sushi outside of the city--this is your spot. Also, easy parking in the lot and a short distance from the norristown transportation center. Full bar including sake as well as a comfortable atmosphere."
"I'm Korean, so I definitely know Korean food... and this place does it well! The owners are super friendly and the food is delicious! I appreciate that even though we ordered takeout, our meal still came with side dishes (banchan), including miso soup and kimchi. I like Kori because they not only have Korean food, but also Japanese (sushi) and Chinese (well, Korean/Chinese fusion dishes like tangsuyuk and fried rice). We ordered fried dumplings (mandu), tangsuyuk (crispy fried sweet & sour pork), galbi, bulgogi, shrimp fried rice, and sushi (unagi/eel, hamachi yellowtail, salmon, and spicy tuna dragon roll). I really enjoyed the sushi, but the Korean food is where this place shines. It's important to note that the restaurant is BYOB and they have a surcharge for credit card use, so bring alcohol and cash! I highly recommend Kori!To note: they also serve breakfast!"
"4.5 stars.Upgrade is for their new rice bowls that comes made from individualized pressure cookers, straight from Korea! Kinda like those at Jong Ka Jib, but more high tech and delicious! This results in a subtle-y sweet rice that seems like glutinous rice was added (like sticky rice), but wasn't added. Comes piping hot in a wooden casket! There's an extra charge for this, but trust me, it is worth it.The grills are reminiscent of soht ttu kkung, the stone cover they used to make food in the olden days. The cover is a dome shape, so any oil flows off to make the meats healthier to eat!Definitely becoming a more of a go-to for Korean food for me since the other restaurants in the area have been on the decline in terms of taste."
"What a delightful Korean-Japanese fusion cafe! They offer ramen, delicious fusion dishes, and inari which is like giant sushi but with tofu skin instead of seaweed wraps. The whole place, while small, is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with a unique personality. Love the creative inari, and the ramen was very good as well. See my photos. One of the highlights is their fruit punches that come in funny-looking plastic bags (that reminded me of IV bags). There were yuzu and pineapple punches. Yuzu was the best!"
"I'm not the biggest fan of Asian cuisine. It's nice once in a while, but it is not my go-to meal. I went into Mari Mari as part of a food tour. Otherwise, I would have passed by without a second look. The tofu bowl is delicious. With a variety of toppings to choose from, anyone can find one to fit their taste.Though the restaurant itself is small, the menu is mighty, and the service is excellent. If you are looking for something different, I highly recommend Mari Mari."
"Omg hands down the best of best korean authentic snack food place within Hmart Owners are super kind and sweet. We went in without realizing all the food court is closing at 7:30pm we arrived on the dot and he kindly took my order. I ordered dungchi kimbab and ramen. Kimbab was huge and so delicious!!! I love kimbab and this wad the best in philly! They gave me two side of yellow radish pickle and homemade kimchi which were good! And Before the owner leaves for the day, he put one bottle of water on my tray! What a kindness ! Because i was so busy ordering food before the closing, i didnt think to order water, turned out it was much needed for me I cannot wait to go back for more and try something else as well!! Highly recommended"
"We stumbled into this restaurant on a rainy day and we're pleasantly surprised by the homestyle ambiance when you walk in. Service was pretty quick and friendly. The server instructed us to use the URL code on the table to see the menu and also provided a tablet just in case. I ordered the bibimbap which came out in an iron skillet bowl that was crackling and steaming fresh from the stove which was super impressive The food was pretty tasty and the portions at first felt small, but the density made up for it. The food did continue to cook while in the iron skillet, but it created this nice crispiness to the bottom of the rice which was really fun to eat. We really enjoyed the food here and definitely will make a return visit to try more things"
"BornGa is an excellent Korean restaurant that serves up some delicious and homey food. My group ordered the scallion pancake appetizer, and it was so good that we had to order another one. The banchan sides were complimentary, and the spicy taste was heavenly. We then ordered two dolsot bowls and a beef stew, and they were all incredibly flavorful and hearty. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the food. However, the service could have been better. The staff seemed to be too busy to attend to our needs, especially after the food was delivered to our table. We had to wait for a long time to get their attention to refill our water glasses, and they only seemed to come over to clear the table. It would have been nice to have more attentive service.Despite the lack of attention from the staff, the food was exceptional, and we all left feeling very satisfied. If you're in the mood for some delicious Korean food, BornGa is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to flag down a waiter or waitress if you need anything during your meal"
"My husband and I love Korean bbq. So when I saw that this place has good ratings, we decided to give it a try.It is conveniently located near Chinatown, bus stop, and 676. Spacious, sleek, high industrial ceiling, and clean. Bright light at each table. In the wall near the cashier, there are paintings of of men in traditional Korean clothing. On the other side of the wall there are two televisions. One is showing a music video ok K-pop with no sound. Hip hop music is playing but not too loud. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who directed us to the table. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and engaging. He offered refills for our side dishes a couple of times. He explained that the restaurant has been opened for 9 months. Weekend can be busy.We ordered bulgogi and spicy pork belly to be cooked on the barbecue plate. They also have menu items that are cooked in the kitchen. Our orders come with refillable side dishes served on small plates: fish cakes, kimchi, fermented beans spread, rice, a mini dollop of mashed potato and corn, and cabbage. We also get a bowl of salad to be shared. The barbecue plate is slanted with three sections at the rim for more side dishes: cheese and corn, bean sprouts, and steamed egg made fresh as our waiter poured the liquid egg into the compartment. I've never seen such design. It allows the grease flows down. First, raw onion and beech mushrooms are put on the grill plate then they are mixed with bulgogi. The meat is ready in a short time and not burnt. My favorite side dish is the cheese and corn. As the plate gets hotter, the cheese is melting so you can see cheese pull. So yummy. The exhaust system is well designed. Our clothes don't smell like barbecue at all.It was a fun dining experience for us.There's a sign that says if you bring the receipt from Me. Pig to Hey Yogurt, you can get 20 percent off."
"This place is my go-to for grabbing a quick lunch during work. I always get the Kimchi Fried Rice with beef (you can also get chicken or tofu instead). For $7, it's a great deal. The portions are very generous with lots of kimchi and beef, topped with a fried sunny side up egg. It's very spicy but so good. I have tried the tteokbokki also, which is spicy and delicious too. I have dabbled in the other menu items a bit, like the bibimbap, but nothing is as satisfying as the kimchi fried rice. Totally recommend getting the kimchi fried rice here! For the price, you can't beat it. Like a typical food truck, they accept cash only. However, they recently started accepting Venmo! So that makes it a lot easier."
"We had the set special A with galbi, finger rib, inner ribeye, and spinallis. The finger rib was really good - flavoring is great and the meat is tender and juicy. Galbi is cut off the bone and is softer than what I expected. The other rib cultus were also good but not flavored so I preferred the finger rib and galbi. We also had the soy garlic Korean chicken wings and they were excellent as well. We didn't order any sides and I would say that we probably could have added another item, maybe more chicken wings or some more meat. Ambience is very cute. Each table is set off with clear curtains so it feels like you're in a little pod. Service is great. They also help you get started with the cooking. The restaurant has its own parking lot so parking is easy. Overall food is very good. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for Korean bbq in the PA area."
"I've been here a handful of times for hot pot and each time a member of the group has been celebrating a birthday as the birthday person enjoys a free meal! The service is pretty standard, not overly attentive but if you need something a server is around to assist. The portions of the food brought to the table are very reasonable and the produce has always been fresh - I love the fried tofu! The highlight is the sauce bar - they do have a little guide to help you make something you'll enjoy but if you're like me you'll make a few mistakes until you find a combination you enjoy. I love that each meal has ended with a little ice cream and fresh fruit. It's a good place for a 4-6 person group! Just remember it's a BYOB!"
"It's a very good Korean/Japanese restaurant with sushi bar. I felt the price was generally more expensive, but they're probably just reflecting where it's located. Oh yeah, I was asked if I had a reservation...server went back and came back to tell us she'll get a table ready in a minute. There was only another table occupied, so I felt a little funny. I'd recommend to make reservation if you're eating here. Also, dining-in, take out and curveside pick-up are available. Atmosphere was very good with quiet ambiance and subtle decorations. It was not too crowded when we had our dinner on Tuesday evening. I think we heard some drum beats coming through from neighboring brew house that was totally out of place, though. Service was generally good. Our glasses didn't go empty. The young server repeatedly called us "you guys." I felt it was somewhat out of place especially addressing seniors like us. Oh well, I'm getting old.Food--was very good. My katsudon had a nice flavor with a generous portion of pork cutlet. It was a good cut of meat and cooked well. Scallions could've been cut in to thinner slices. The rest of the table really enjoyed dolsot (hot stone bowl) bibimbap. They said individual ingredient was flavored well and put together very well. You can control the heat with the amount of gochujang sauce you put on. There was another sauce without any heat for those who don't want any spiciness. It was altogether very enjoyable dining experience, and everyone was happy we came here."
"Great prices and huge portions! I think Mong Shil Tong Tong has the best food from all the choices at H Mart. The Tokboki and Laboki are SO good. Love the ooey gooey cheesy on the tokboki!"
"DELICIOUS!! Went out for a birthday dinner with some friends, and we ... tried ... everything. Well, not everything, but it felt like it.We tried the Pork Belly ($25) and Marinated Beef Ribeye ($28) on the grill. My two friends are pros at Korean BBQ and cooked it to perfection for us.Then we all spilt:-Jae-yook Dolsot Bibimbap (spicy pork with crispy rice - $18)-Kimbap (sushi roll - $8)-Haemul Pa-jeon (seafood and vegetable pancake - $15)-Gae-lamh-jjim (steamed egg - $10) (soo good)The meal also came with a million side dishes. There was unlimited rice, kimchi, lettuce, sauces and more. The food was a little more on the pricey side than what I usually go for, but it was so worth it for the party. The service was great. We had a little room off to the side all to ourselves, so the waiter gave us the remote to the TV. Although the tv didn't have any sound (because there was music playing from speakers for the whole restaurant), it was a nice to be able to play whatever k-pop dance videos we wanted to.Top tier food, service, and atmosphere !!"
"New Korean sushi place in Philly! Now I don't have to drive all the way to Fort Lee to get my fix. Everything was super fresh and delicious"
"I've been coming here for years and never knew it had a separate listing as it's located within HMart, the famous Korean chain market. It has, on more than one occasion, made throwing dinner together in a pinch, simple! This place has the freshest, most delicious prepared traditional and more fusion Korean foods! My favorite is by far their stewed spicy tofu with the veggie vermicelli as a runner up. I've also tasted their green bean pancakes, veggie dumplings, mixed peppers, pickled cucumbers, fresh salads and stewed sesame spinach. All are very tasty and priced appropriately for the portions. I try to taste something new each visit and with the vast offerings of foods they offer, I have no problem doing so. This kimchee is fantastic and comes in a variety of flavors. The fam favors the radish. They also have quarts of freshly made soup such as soon dooboo cheegay and oogawji haejang gook. Most recently I saw Pop Chips, which seems like an odd fit, but I'm not complaining. Yum! 2 bags for $5 My brother who lived in Korea ana my sister in law who is Korean think these are some of the most authentic tasting dishes around. Whether you're an expert in the cuisine or looking to venture out a bit from your norm, this is a great place to come. While the ladies speak little English, I have never really had an issue communicating regarding the food and what's in each dish. Carnivores, pescatarians and those with plant based diets will all equally be satisfied shopping here. $10cc minimum."
"Korean options in the city are surprisingly pretty limited, but Dae Bak has been our go-to. We have only ordered takeout from here and it has always hit the spot. Their bulgogi, seafood pancake, boneless chicken, jap chae and cha Jiang myun have been our favorites. Food has always come fresh and well packaged. Serving sizes are generous."
"Great ambiance. Wonderful food. Superb service. We really enjoyed the okonomyaki and bibimbap. Sushi was great and the platters were reasonably priced. I had never had tempura fried banana before and we really enjoyed it with green tea ice cream. Our server was lovely and very attentive. I would definitely recommend this cute little spot."
"Shout out to Rittenhouse Deli, which I tried due to a recommendation from here. Wings were awesome, Korean spicy pork tacos amazing, mandoos were great. Chap chae was standard. One child loved the guacamole so much that this is all he ate for lunch."
"Good display of what they have to offer. Cashier present at counter and looked ready to serve. Food came in 10 minutes piping hot!!!! The broth was mid.... Maybe not serve it or give option for a small salad. I ordered the fried rice with fried egg. If the egg is served too runny for you then quickly bury it under the rice so it continues to cook. Def 10/10."
"Aka Man Du Roo....the business card says Chew Young Roo but the menu says Man Du Roo.....Open 7 days a week: this restaurant is above H Mart on the 2nd floor in the food court area....(Japanese/Korean/Chinese fast food). But, it's fresh asian food and it certainly beats out American fast food! This restaurant is listed as Chinese Korean Cuisine, but, to me, the menu is mostly Korean cusine. Today I tried JobChe DupBob - Vermicelli glass noodles with Vegetables. It says medium spicey, but she told him to make it mild...I think mild for American is different than Korean. My dish had a little kick to it. Was falvorful, but, not too spicy. It also comes with a bowl of rice, which doesn't make sense to Americans to add another carb, but, it's good luck in Korea to have a bowl of white rice with your meals....You can take it to go or eat in food court area. Next time I will try their homemade dumplings....."
