Done.I was going to Philly that weekend to visit my gf, so I had to get the sandwich and tell him it was amazing regardless. I'm trying to win his business.We entered the bizarrely calm Reading terminal market, got in a short line, and ordered the beloved Roast Pork Sandwich. It was made up of Roasted Pork Shoulder, Broccoli Rabe, and onions.Honestly it was pretty damn good, but it wasn't an "Oh my god..." on the first few bites good. Best sandwich in America I just can not get behind. However, it was voted the champ back in 2013. My parents needed a flashlight to read the menu.We ordered the crispy cheese curds to share. 10/10! Super light, crispy and easy to eat a ton. For entrees, we ordered Marilyn's fried chicken, seared verlasso salmon and short rib stroganoff. I'd honestly recommend them all, but my favorite was the stroganoff!At the end, we all shared one order of the pumpkin cheesecake which was decadent and sweet.Great restaurant and a place I would definitely return to!"

"I have tried the white dog cafe in university city so I was super excited to find out that they had another location in Wayne. The interior is so cute and filled with cute dog portraits. There's a nice bar inside and plenty of tables for dining. We opted for the brunch hours and ordered the deviled eggs, eggs Benedict and my bf got the steak and eggs. I tried his piece of steak and was super impressed with the cut and how it was cooked. The deviled eggs had caviar on top and it tasted just as good as it looked. Overall a great dining experience"

We loved everything but the wings. The wings are highly reviewed here but last night they were very chewy and received two thumbs down. Everything else was DELICIOUS! I would 100% reorder the beets, whipped ricotta and mac&cheese. So good! Both entrees were delicious, but didn't blow us away. Dessert came and we loved the beignets. Perfect size and amount. The panna cotta was a bit too jiggly and not firm at all. Tasted a bit like soft tofu so we sadly didn't finish that dish. I would still come back and would definitely recommend the first 3 dishes listed above!"

"11/24/22 Review of Catered Thanksgiving OnlyWe decided to have Thanksgiving cooked for us. Last years debacle- Founding Farmers - I heard was horrendous, expensive and the food was awful- the turkey was tough and chewy from that restaurant. Classic Diner from what I know has catered meals at my company, they've done weddings and many events. This company came highly recommended to my mom from a friend. Classic Diner did not disappoint!!My mom picked up this massive meal from the warehouse in West Chester. The employees helped her load the car as well which was very much appreciated.I would recommend heating the food much longer than the directions say- especially if you order the 20 person meal.The turkey was carved, succulent and delicious, presented nicely browned with rosemary, cranberries and citrus. We ordered the cinnamon sweet potatoes that were so delicious and tasted great with nutmeg infused into the recipe. There may have been walnuts in those- great texture and taste! We ordered delicious whipped potatoes, the green beans with pearl onions (Al dente), the herbed stuffing was really splendid too and my dad's favorite part- the gravy was rich and delicious. I would highly recommend this as an option if you aren't up for cooking the whole Thanksgiving meal! No yucky carcass to pick through and leftovers galore!Excellent and high quality food! Don't hesitate but get your order in early."

"I popped into Revolution House for lunch and loved this spot. They have outdoor seating on the second floor, but for those who get chilled to the bone easily, there's always seating on the first floor. They have plenty of apps, hand-held options, and then some, but I opted for American classics such as French onion soup and a wedge salad. My partner also ordered their fried chicken sandwich and it was a generous piece of fried chicken and they let us get the bacon on the side which I enjoyed. Everything came out quickly, made to order, and was incredibly enjoyable and delicious. No complaints from start to finish, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a bite to eat with a view."

There is additional seating with heated lamps outside. Nice ambiance with an open kitchen. The service was excellent!Would I return? In a heartbeat!"

"Absolutely love this place. Wonderful hidden gem in Olde City, tucked away at the end of - you guessed it - Race Street, practically under the bridge. I don't live in Philly but it's one of my go to places when I'm in the city because it never disappoints. It's a gorgeous small space with dark wood everywhere that adds to the atmosphere. There's also a wood burning stove (real or gas, not sure) that was a welcome sight after stumbling in from walking in 28 degree weather. Came here for dinner last night with my girlfriend. Every table was filled so it was a nice atmosphere, but it wasn't super loud or crazy. We each had a beer from the excellent list of draft beers, and she got the brisket sandwich while I got the meatloaf sandwich. They came out quickly and we loved them both. We will be back!"

"Cedar Point has been the gift that keeps giving for me over the years, going back to 2015. I went on the first date with my wife, who lived in Fishtown at the time, there that summer. I moved to the neighborhood the following year, and it became our go-to quizzo spot until we moved out of the area. During that time, it also got me into eating brussels sprouts, as they were part of the chicken wing appetizer. From 2018 - 2022, we didn't frequent it much because it took more effort to do so; we tend to get tunnel-visioned (or just lazy) about restaurants and bars in the neighborhoods we live in. Well, we moved back to Fishtown about a year and a half ago (yes, we've bounced around a fair bit), and Cedar Point is very much back in the mix. The kitchen does strong work, outdoing a number of similarly sized pub-fare places in the area. Wings, pierogis, the rotating variations on their Drunk & Cheesy sandwiches, the street corn, red curry chicken cheesesteak, chicken & waffles? All things I or people close to me can vouch for from the last few months (or this week, in the case of the chicken & waffles happy hour sandwich and the elote). They also offer a nice, thoughtful range of cocktail options and a solid beer list. Touching base on a few other things I like about Cedar Point:- I mentioned a happy hour menu item - their happy hours give you impressive bang for your buck. While I haven't been there to partake, they also offer a 12 - 4 weekday lunch special and maybe even some kind of late night one (don't quote me on that one)- they still, eight or so years on from when I used to go, offer a leisurely paced Monday quizzo/trivia that starts around 7:00 - their outdoor patio space is a great spot to post up on a mild dayIf you're interested in a casual bite and/or drink in Fishtown or an easy Monday out, you can do a whole lot worse than CP."

It was extremely hot on this day.Even though the food wasn't on-par for some of my friends, it was well done for what Nifty Fiftys is and I felt it deserves 5 stars even though it was 4 stars for me personally.I had a take out soda of vanilla creme and toasted marshmallow which was delicious (unpictured) in addition to bubblegum and cotton candy which was also good. The soda flavor combinations and milkshake flavors are "innumerable" and that is why you come here!I mean, you could try out a cookie dough lemonade, if you so dare!Their burgers are respectable but I like Charlie's down the street more and some of the mainstream fast food ones lol. I purposely picked one with lettuce and tomato in it this time around. I thought onion rings were included on the side but that was extra and too much food. Was going to pick food off my relatives instead but they never finish theirs and it just went to waste :(One of my friends didn't like the filet mignon because it was too "diner" like for him. So it made me sense that the food was done well but just not his preference and that Nifty Fiftys is literally a diner type setting. So very appropriate food.Another one of my friends didn't like her chicken cheesesteak and she was the one who chose the place cause she misses Chee Chee Burger. Across the street almost is Delco steaks but they don't have sit down or little placemats for kids to use. Sometimes experiences are more about time spent together with other people than the food."

For the wings, you can pick different sauces on the side if you can't decide. Their wings are big and nicely battered & fried. I didn't try the cheesesteak but friend said it was good. There's nothing fancy about this place, but it feels like an ideal "hangout spot" when you are looking for a casual night out with your friends. "Okay, I know this says "Draft House", but let me start with the cheesesteak here. After years of traveling all over Philadelphia, I have finally found my standard bearer for best cheesesteak in the city. The bread is toasty and garlicky. The meat is nice and toasty too. Excellent flavor in meat and perfect complement with the cheese (no Wiz here). I love it so much, I devoured both mine and half my friend's. One of my friends went with the kielbasa steak. That's not me, but he was completed before I even got through half of mine, so make of that what you will.I'll note that it was the breakfast menu until 2:00. The kitchen is accommodating and there's breakfast cheesesteak on their menu, so there was no issue with preparing the dinner version. (They can also do burgers. Just ask!)As for the draft part of things: friendly frequent service but hardly overbearing, just right. Not a huge selection of beer but I found a local non-IPA that was just right. Small place, a few tables for groups and a few bar seats for individuals, but I can see it filling quickly on a Friday night. My friends and I like roads, so we love all the road signs and license plates and stuff on the wall. Your mileage (pun!) may vary. But for me, there will be return trips in the future."

The decor was an added bonus showcasing some inspiring ladies.I had the Ladies Love Salmon which looked exactly how it was described. Tasted good but a bit too much balsamic for me. My friend had the Saucy Shrimp Scampi which definitely came in handy later that night after hanging out. She also got some homemade juice that she really enjoyed.I see why it's popular and probably even more so for brunch. I'd be willing to give it another visit when I'm in town again."

"I went here a few weeks ago for my friends birthday. It's like a hidden gem, I've passed here many times and never noticed it because it's in a industrial area. They had a hour and a half wait for bowling due to a birthday party. We chose to eat first due to this. The burger I had was a little spicy but it was good, leave it to me to order something I have no clue what it is. This came with tots. I had the house tequila and they surely didn't hold back, it was good. My friend was accidentally sent the wrong type of taco, they let her keep it and replaced it with the correct one. You can pay on card or cash for your food and drinks. For bowling you must pay in cash, they have an atm machine inside. We did two rounds of bowling and it was fun although I came in second place. I would certainly go again."

My fiancé and I were meeting some friends for dinner nearby and decided to stop in New Wave and grab a few beers before heading to the restaurant. We were very surprised to see that despite the small facade, the bar was very large and had plenty of seating including covered outdoor sidewalk seating. The interior is very warm and definitely has a dive bar feel while not having the "locals only" feel like some other dive bars seem to put off. They have a large selection of beer, liquor, and even fruit soaked vodka/tequila jars, which was wonderful because my fiancé a little picky when it comes to choosing a drink. The service was fast and friendly which is always a plus!I wish I could speak on the food, but seeing as we were about to go to a dinner we stuck to just drinks. Needless to say, just the smell/look of the food that people around us ordered impressed us and we knew we would be back another day to try it out. After the dinner we decided to hang around the area a bit longer and invited our party back to New Wave. The owner greeted us and told us about some of the bar history, including a fun fact that he was on Jeopardy at one point! Suffice to say, I will be back the next time I'm in the area to try some of the food from their unique (for a dive bar) menu."
