"came here on a Thursday and the environment was pretty fun. To my surprise as the evening got later there was a game night it seems because a dj was handing out bingo sheets throughout the place. It was a pleasant surprise. A lot of people played including myself and the prizes were pretty cool. I just came for drinks but I will be back for both drinks AND food. The bartender was very nice and attentive. This place is clean and the drinks were nicely made. I'd say the bartender i had definitely knew what she was doing my drink was strong. It was called a lavender moon."
"We were looking for a place that had cheese steaks and a bar on a Thursday evening. The cheese steak ended up being super good! I was was surprised! My husband got a great deal on drinks - he ordered the City Wide special which was a PBR and a shot of whiskey for just $6."

"Came here for breakfast. My husband and I ordered the brioche French toast which was great!! Big fan of the light airy french toast with berry compote. It also comes with almond praline butter, I ordered it on the side and didn't need it nor the syrup. The restaurant had a large indoor seating areas as well as outdoors but the outdoor seating set up. The service was slow, especially for only a few tables in the restaurant."
"Nudy's is the best! They have a great amount of breakfast/brunch options. I really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros. It was so filling and fresh. The huevos rancheros came with jalapeños, sour cream, hash browns, tomatoes, and carrots. Definitely like how they used hash browns instead of the typical tortilla chip! The Tuscan Omelet was very cheesy. I loved how I could substitute fruit for the fries; however, I wish they would give more of a quantity of fruit. Overall, the food was fairly priced and the service was great!"
"I was brought here by a friend. I would have never known this place existed had he not.Walking in, everything was clean and in order. The lady behind the counter was so genuinely nice. She was very patient with us while we ordered, and changed our minds about 5 times. She explained, and answered questions all with keeping her upbeat demeanor.I ordered a turkey burger. It didn't knock me off of my feet, but it was good. I liked te seasoned fries that came on the side. The menu is pretty extensive. I would return to try other options."
"Delicious chicken sandwich. I ordered the hot Mac sandwich, the southern bbq sandwich, a side of fries, and the Mac and cheese. The sandwiches were flavorful, crispy, and juicy at the same time. In comparison to other local chicken joints, there are more options for type of sandwich flavor combo as well as wing, wrap, and tender options. The portion of chicken was substantial as well. My more spice inclined friend did note though, if you want your actual spice level order 1 higher than you expect. The plain fries were crispy, would definitely opt for getting them seasoned or topped with cheese or sauce. The Mac and cheese was your regular tasting stovetop Mac, nothing to phone home about but satisfying enough. The service was prompt and the restaurant was very clean. It was a takeout order, but could definitely see myself grabbing a beer and another sandwich another time."
"Five gorgeous beautiful stunning stars for the best veggie burger I've had in a minute...maybe ever! Did some shopping and was walking home in need of some eats. Saw Kite and Key and decided to give it a shot. Super cute outdoor seating for the warmer months and a bar area that opens up right into the sidewalk. This is a neighborhood spot that was pretty dead dinner-wise on the Saturday I was posted up at the bar, but likely gets a little more rowdy later at night. The veggie burger is fantastic. Deep fried cabbage, mushrooms and carrots with a delish horseradish aioli and covered in sprouts. I devoured all of it in like 9 minutes alongside a tasty glass of sauv blanc. The bartender told me the veggie burger has been on the menu since Kite and Key opened on Callowhill in 2008 and it is easy to see why. Such a good staple.I don't think I'll ever eat anything else here (veggie burger for life) but I look forward to trying more of their cocktails and posting up at the bar whenever I need a good neighborhood vibe. Thanks for a great night!"
"Our server was friendly and efficient and checked on us just the right amount. The restaurant is a cozy converted house which is tastefully decorated. The bathroom is adorable. I had the Greek omelette and while very tasty was a bit runny for my liking. I upgraded to a small side salad rather than toast. It was fresh and delicious. I would definitely go back and if I ordered another omelette, I would just request it be cooked a little bit more. Definitely worth a visit!!"
"A solid breakfast/ brunch spot on the mainline. Service is prompt and the employees are punctual. American"
"Ok so we spent an afternoon here while waiting for our kid to be done with his class. We sat at the bar and the service was great, our bartender was nice and very interactive with us. She took a shot with us as well, and recommended the French onion soup which was outstanding. We had been searching for great French onion soup which has eluded us. The ambiance is cool, very Irish bar vibes with TV's and music. Almost seems cookie cutter nowadays. We stayed to eat as well, and had to say the food was decent. I had the wings which were good not great but still enjoyable. We are planning on going back to do quizzo as well."
"Pre-Covid I was here at least three or four times a month. But then I moved away for a bit but I'm back in Delco and back going to 1010. Over the years I've had their salads, cheesesteaks and some of their pizza. Every single meal has been tasty and great.Today my daughter was here from the city and wanted to order takeout so I suggested 1010. She called the order in and drove to pick it up.I got a text from her when she was there telling me how friendly everybody was there. She wasn't used to that because of living in the city but I told her that this is a normal occurrence there. Every customer is treated as if they are their best customer. They really have the customer service thing down. Today, we opted for a chef salad and a Cobb salad. Both were awesome. Both were packaged well and made it safely home in the car without a mess. You can't go wrong with 1010. Give it a try."
"I stopped by here after my dentist appointment. Thankful my teeth were in great shape and since the place was nearby. I got French press toasted almond coffee. I accidentally spilled it like a fool on my way back- depending on the carry crate they provided for the cups. I should have just put them in the unused cup holders in the car to begin with. I called and said I was willing to pay for another (set of) cups again. They wouldn't charge me and I left a bigger tip instead. The waitress told me it wasn't necessary but I gave her the tip anyway. On a Monday, where it is typically not a bigger tip day sorta thing."

This spot was selected for our Mother's Day Brunch outing. The name does not do it justice as it is much much more than just a "bar".We had reservations, arrived slightly earlier and was seated right away. Stephanie our waitress was awesome, she had the best vibe, great personality and was thorough in her presentation of specials and suggestions.I had already picked out what I was eating after viewing a reel someone posted on Instagram. I ordered the Loaded Home Fries, Bananas Foster French Toast, a side of Turkey Bacon and of course a MOMOSA. Baybeee!!! That smoked gouda gravy on them loaded home fries sent me into something! Pure perfection, they got them home fries so absolutely right!! They were better than I imagined them tasting. The other two orders were the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Chicken & Waffles (sorry didn't get the pic at the restaurant when it came out) but there was a to-go order placed before we left.Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was bustling as it was a Mother's Day Sunday afternoon, if I lived in Philly I'd frequent this establishment on a consistent basis. I enjoyed myself here and the quality of the food stood up to the prices. Check them out!

Prices a bit too pretentious for good food - Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my 2 hour experience at this establishment, but I feel the price for the food might be a bit much for good, not great, food. Pros:Staff are very friendly and courteous! The vibe is up to you -- romantic, chic, trendy, and casual. All different types of groups there! Desserts ---- we couldn't get enough! Delicious!Cons:Prices - $$$ and sides sold separate. Time frame - 2 hours for the whole meal. A bit longer than I'm used to with my family of four. We didn't order appetizers either.

Rounded up to 4 stars. The omelets are all right - not outstanding. The eggs are a little dry, similar to the hash browns. The service is attentive and the room is comfortable (pushing a high 3-star rating to 4 stars). There is ample parking in the lot.

Driving through North Philly looking for a quick and delicious bite. Paprika's food is made to order so plan to wait. The wait is worth is for perfectly moist and seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be back!

I've been there twice the the last 3 days and had 2 completely different experiences. If i could rate a 3.5 stars I would so I'm going with a 3. Thursday 1/29/24 ordered lunch for work:Southern Bbq chicken (permanent insanity heat): *VERY SPICY!!* I have to give kudos to whoever made this hot.. it's actually spicy and packs a hell of a punch! Enjoyed the spice level. However, if you're going to call this a barbecue sandwich, it needs more barbecue sauce than just the quarter size dollop in the middle.. tasted zero bbq Chicken tender- very good. Fries: right amount of crispness. Mac & Cheese: very similar to Wawa's. Just ok. Peach cobbler: I enjoyed this. My coworkers tried the custard and banana pudding: both enjoyed their desserts.Fast forward to today 2/1/24 ordered dinner for the family: Collard Greens: Good seasoning. EnjoyableMacaroni salad: I have no idea what kind of macaroni salad this was but it's was more like a pasta salad- with cheese and tomatoes . Didn't have much creaminess and was very dry. Not a fan of this. Coleslaw: loved it on the sandwich, didn't like it by itself. Fries: this time were soggy. Disappointing Chicken wings: LET'S TALK ABOUT THESE WINGS. This was my first experience of the "no heat" option for spice. I didn't realize that this also meant ZERO flavor. The coating just tasted like crispy fried flour. My mom and husband both tried the wings and nobody liked them- there was just something off putting. The skin underneath was thick and gummy which was causing the coating to fall off. Even tried putting them in the air fryer and it didn't help. We threw these outside for the animals to eat. Very disappointed as we paid $20 for 4 wings and 2 sides and didn't like any of them. Final thoughts: I enjoyed the chicken sandwich's and tenders. Fries are a hit of miss. Not a huge fan of any of the sides I've tried. Give their sandwich's and tenders a shot!! Definitely worth a try. If you love spicy chicken, then there is on point!!!

Met a friend here for a cocktail. Loved that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat so we were indoors but on the edge of being outdoors. Had a great neighborhood vibe. Looks better than the photos. It was late but the place still had people. Got a dirty martini. It was perfect. Would return!

I ended up in Malvern and was very happy to see Julie Anne's Place's 4.7 google maps rating. I haven't had the best luck in Malvern but things may be starting to change. 1st, $5.43 for a scrapple, egg and cheese on toast. You know I love that. And, that is after an 18 cent non cash surcharge. Very cheesy. Everyone was very happy. Cool bathroom. Video of bathroom in full video. Now if I can get Dave Bramwell to return my calls life would be good.

"YUM! Stumbled into the Tasty Toast and I am so glad that I did. I got the Rainbow Mermaid which was a peach, strawberry mango juice (I think I'm missing another ingredient) but it was so delicious! It was sweet, refreshing and they put banana and strawberries slices in it! So good. Also, not pictured... my sandwich that I devoured. So, I got the bacon melt and it was also amazing. Eggs, bacon, creamy melted cheese. You can't go wrong. The service wad friendly, but just a little on the slower side (they had a ton of online orders). Would highly recommend this spot, just order ahead!"
"Added this place to my list right before my last trip to Philly and it ended up being the first place we stopped. It's on a mixed commercial but mostly residential block but since it was early in the day, parking was easy. It also wasn't crowded so ordering was easy and customer service was just fine. The decor was an added bonus showcasing some inspiring ladies.I had the Ladies Love Salmon which looked exactly how it was described. Tasted good but a bit too much balsamic for me. My friend had the Saucy Shrimp Scampi which definitely came in handy later that night after hanging out. She also got some homemade juice that she really enjoyed.I see why it's popular and probably even more so for brunch. I'd be willing to give it another visit when I'm in town again."
""You can take the boy out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the boy " Very true. Perhaps this is why I always look forward to exploring Philly neighborhoods for cool places to eat. Today it was The New Olympia House on Castor Avenue that had my time and attention. A corner luncheonette that has been slinging hash for more than half a century, this little piece of Athens is well preserved, with long counter with about 10 spinners, booths behind that, and a large dining room behind the kitchen in this double wide row house neighborhood. The charm and cultural history were all in place, much as it has operated since 1960. I was very happy to have found the joint as I straddled the stool and was approached by the attractive server in black spandex pants. The question at hand was - would the kitchen support the excited first impression, or no? The answer was discovered soon enough. For this breakfast at least, the rude awakening was in the negative - my anticipation was better than the reality this day. My french toast looked golden brown, and the old style syrup dispenser with slip down spring metal opening was way cool. However, the underside chassis had too much char, resulting in a burnt taste that required extra syrup to offset. That taste led me to think that the grill was not cleaned between orders, leaving burnt butter or other lubricant around to stick to the next food sizzling there. It also meant a lack of attention by the short order cook (not chef), and an attempt to hide the dark side from view. The three slices were ample, and had the decision been made to start afresh rather than hope I didn't notice, would have made me a true fan.First impression dashed. The Cecilware drip coffee was fine. I love those old contraptions. Yet, despite all the help behind the counter, no one saw that my small cup was bereft of coffee and needed refilling, until I asked. Hard to understand such inattentiveness when I was the only customer sitting there. Chalk it up to my invisibility, sometimes not the best superpower to practice while dining. Still, I liked New Olympia House enough to regret this happenstance, and wish for a better experience. This could have been one of those true Philadelphia moments that only the city's profound indifference to perfection in the face of amazing potential, created the opportunity to transcend low expectations and truly hit the mark in miraculous laudation. That moment must await a more hopeful day."
"Here again the other night. Was very busy since it was a Friday night but we were able to find yo seats at the bar. They have a dj on Friday and Saturday which is pretty loud but ok. I didn't have food this time just drinks but I recommend the wings or the shrimp platter."
"Not bad. I wasn't very impressed with the sandwich, but the drinks were good. The place was loud too. I tried the passion fruit and blackberry libations and ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. The service was average. I intended to order another drink, but the waitress didn't check back with me, so I decided to leave after finishing my meal."
"MMM - MMM - MMM! Southern & Jewish food...how often do you cross paths with these two cuisines? Well, Honey's has it figured out and they have a menu oozing with an incredible amount of options. No matter your dietary preferences or restrictions, they've got you covered. If you had any second guesses on whether or not it'd be worth the visit, just go ahead and drive by on a weekend and see the line of people who are waiting to get a table. That is a downside, because it is a smaller space inside, you will likely have a decent wait for brunch on a weekend. They don't take reservations, so I would recommend trying to get there first thing or you can take advantage of their walk-up window. If you are lucky enough, you may even be able to snag a spot at their counter seating.I thought their service was great and very attentive, but it is a bit chaotic inside. You just gotta embrace it. Okay - let's get into the food! I found it hard to make a decision between their eggs or pancakes or french toast...it all looks so good. Fortunately, they have a monte cristo sandwich called the Honey Cristo. I went with this, and it was no joke. Massive sandwich, with ham and swiss piled high between two fluffy challah french toast slices, topped with juicy sunny eggs. It comes with a hearty side salad that makes you feel mentally better for what you are about to eat, but it was truly a refreshing counter to the rich and savory cristo. I also just couldn't pass up on their special pancake, which was essentially a heaping portion of mac & cheese served in a pancake style. This was yummy on both spectrums of the palate...you could enjoy with hot sauce/ketchup or with syrup (or both if that is your speed.) One thing you won't leave there with, is an empty stomach. Their portions are outrageous!Come hungry and if you are in the neighborhood, come often!"
"Great table across from the pizza oven and great to watch it all being made. The keg Cabernet Sauvignon was outstanding and $9 for a glass. We had our first Detroit pizza (added mushrooms and onions) and the server got serious points for automatically bringing over hot pepper flakes, garlic powder and Parmesan. The pizza was excellent; nice crust and great flavor. Less overwhelming than chicago deep dish or stuffed pizza. Will definitely return!"
"It was a beautiful day so we sat outside which may be why the wait to order was a bit longer but overall the service was good. The menu had so many delicious sounding choices it was difficult to decide. All 3 of us were very happy with our entrees, my daughter especially loved the shakshuka she ordered."
"Went to a wedding celebration here on Saturday night. The ceremony was held outside, out front of the location. It was so nice! After that we went in and up to the second floor. There were appetizers out for us to help ourselves to, a DJ playing music and a bar ready to serve some cocktails! All of the staff were friendly! Guests were enjoying the food, drinks and bowling! What a I've place to have a party!"
"After a gruelling CrossFit workout, this was just what the doctor ordered. Was looking for a nice diner for a good Sunday brunch and Nudys was just that.My wife had the banana walnut pancake (I'm on a sugar break) and I had the California Benedict with french fries vs home fries. The pancake had the right amount of sweetness, right amount of fluffiness and a right amount of banana and walnut amalgamation. She rated it right up there.I thought the Benedict was good as well. TBH it's tough to screw this one up but I've seen it happen.Overall a solid 5 and definitely a place I'll visit again."
"Absolutely love this place. Wonderful hidden gem in Olde City, tucked away at the end of - you guessed it - Race Street, practically under the bridge. I don't live in Philly but it's one of my go to places when I'm in the city because it never disappoints. It's a gorgeous small space with dark wood everywhere that adds to the atmosphere. There's also a wood burning stove (real or gas, not sure) that was a welcome sight after stumbling in from walking in 28 degree weather. Came here for dinner last night with my girlfriend. Every table was filled so it was a nice atmosphere, but it wasn't super loud or crazy. We each had a beer from the excellent list of draft beers, and she got the brisket sandwich while I got the meatloaf sandwich. They came out quickly and we loved them both. We will be back!"
"Hey, Yelp family! Yes, I'm making a review JUST about the bread pudding. I have tell ya'll about our date night at Booker's and this bread pudding situation--it was pure dessert nirvana! Picture yourself snuggling up with spoonfuls of warm, gooey bliss that melts in your mouth. It's as if they bottled up Grandma's secret sauce lol Hi, Grandma! (She doesn't Yelp but gets mad if I don't shout her out anyway)And let me tell you, you can taste the homemade flavor in every bite. I asked and there's defintiely an Auntie in the kitchen making it HAPPEN. I literally thanked her for making my day. What is the best part? The people at Booker's treated us like family. Seriously, their customer service is top-notch.So, the next time you want something cozy and pleasant, stop by Booker's for a taste of their famous bread pudding. You'll be hooked, just like we were!"
"What a pleasant surprise. I really wanted Smirnoff apple from takeout bar section which no longer exists. Have 2 crumb snatchers at home, I was sent out in the rain to bring back something good. The first two places I tried to order from was closed. I'm glad they were. Will be back."
"Went on a Friday night to see Jazzy Jeff perform at the River's Casino. Our waitress was on point, she kept checking on us to make sure we were good despite the diners increasing. My food was so delicious....I got the Penne Vodka, ceaser salad & cheesecake for dessert! 5 stars across the board for Service, atmosphere, & food."
"This is a nice Nudy's location in Devon/Strafford close to the Strafford train station and Whole Foods. It's located in a quiant old house. They have seating indoors and outside. The inside space is pretty small, so it's great they have the outdoors as well. They have a small parking lot and larger ones nearby. The breakfast foods are solid and so filling. I've loved Nudy's for years and am happy they are still just as good into the 2020s. The staff is really nice and helpful. They also play fun music near the kitchen. This is probably my favorite Nudy's location. Check it out!"
"We ordered a large plain pie for pickup on Friday night, with a side order of garlic sticks. They were fast (ready within 20 minutes) and the price was right ($11 for large pie). It's a small local shop that provides good taste. The pizza had good flavor, and the crust was thick and chewy, not burned. I like thick crust (instead of thin). The garlic sticks weren't too garlicky, and we usually prefer something stronger taste and more melt in your mouth homemade."
"I was in Philly from out of town (Dallas) for a concert two weeks ago and was running late to get to a concert. I found out about Darling Jack's through Yelp and decided to stop in before heading the concert at the Fillmore. I sat at the bar and I'm happy that the bartender and DJT got me in and out of dinner fast! Like within 45 minutes!I had the burger, which was excellent, and a great old fashioned. I could tell that the pickles on the burger were made in house, which was a nice touch. The burger was cooked to perfection. No notes. The service from the bartender was very efficient. I'm sure I seemed strange, simply because I was in a race against time. The ambiance was very cool and seems like a great spot for a good meal or cocktail, for a date or for a night out with friends. I highly recommend Darling Jack's Tavern (love the name by the way)."
"We stopped by for dinner. The place has a certain "dive bar"/"local bar" feel. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good, and the staff were friendly. Two modest television screens featured different games. I ordered the Asian-style Ribs with spicy slaw. The ribs were tender and tasty, and the slaw was surprisingly good. The bed of fries was also perfectly seasoned. The portion was so large that I took half off it home for dinner the following night."
"This was our first visit to Doliva. We stopped in and placed our order on the spot to eat-in, and the pizza was ready quickly. On first glance, the pizza looked meh, the crust looked underdone - but looks can be deceiving. The crust itself was fine despite the look, crispy and chewy. Every pizza spot does buffalo chicken differently, some season the chicken itself, some put the sauce right on top - this is the latter. Overall it was a solid experience, I wouldn't hesitate trying other items on the menu**TIP** I noticed that the menu said if you order online you get 10% off - that'll be our move moving forward. I will update my review with future experiences!"
"Went today with my boyfriend and we both left still discussing how good our food was! I got meatloaf and he got a bacon cheeseburger and they was both amazing! For a little corner diner it's good and it's not over expensive! Really good js"
"The spinners at the counter are wobbly, and there is a photo of the marriage of JKF and Jackie O. on the wall, but Kitty's Luncheonette is as real as it gets for traditional breakfasts and lunches in this part of Philadelphia. They don't know from brunch, and they close before happy hour; so don't bookmark it for your weekend morning meal, nor try to stop in after work. This is a 7 to 3:30 corner grill that had a few dozen thick scrapple slices frying to a dark brown while I drank their Ellis Coffee and awaited my first taste of their french toast. The house has about a dozen tables in two rooms and eight spinning stools along the counter that overlooks the chef workspace. It was about half full of neighborhood personalities who seemed to know each other as they were greeted by name. The server, a lovely young woman who is Kitty's niece, took care of me, and filled me in on the history of the institution, open since 1952! Yes. It looks its age, with family photos on the walls, and original floors, walls and stools. Either you get the deeply rubbed in culture here, or you don't. With its gritty charm and surprisingly good food, it is easy to develop a crush on Kitty, and want to visit her often. She is as authentic as the day is long. My three slices of thick egged toast were very good. A little sweet from the vanilla and sugar in the mix, and a little crispy on the edges where the hot steel melted that sugar and left its hardened residue. They know how to do FT here. $5.50 was a happy price. The java was strong and a little rough (bitter), but nothing to complain about. Again, her Joe is straight up Bunn-O-Matic. No expresso options with Kitty. Kitty's is very close to I-95, and an easy on/off if you want to stop before reaching Center City from the north. Not sure she could handle becoming a hit on the breakfast bookmark circuit, especially on weekends, so if you want to check her out, come on a weekday morning when the regular crowd is thinner. But, if you like hard stop traditional breakfast without any frills, give this old girl a go."
"Muffins is another excellent breakfast/lunch kitchen on 4th Street, Bridgeport, PA, just across the Schuylkill River from Norristown. It changed ownership a couple of years ago, and has become a warm inviting cafe in which to settle down on a bright red seat or tubular stainless stool along the counter and chow down heartily. A solitary traveler, I sat at the counter overlooking the open kitchen and was served by Lexi the friendly efficient server, who took my order for a Veggie Omelet, hash browns with onion/green pepper mixed in and rye toast, and poured their Ward Coffee dripped by Bunn several times without being asked. Everything was excellent. It looked great on the oval plate, with the omelet taking up half the space, and the generous taters and toast the rest. The eggs were moist and full with spinach, pepper, onion, mushroom and tomato. The hash browns were nicely crisped with sautéed onions and green peps wrapped within the fold over (+$1). I don't know how I ate it all, but it was too delicious to leave anything behind. On the way out I chatted with Paul, one of the owners of Muffins. It was he who prepared my meal, and I thanked him for making my day. He seemed genuinely pleased with my satisfaction. This strip of 4th Street is becoming a destination for people who love their morning or afternoon meals in unique and attractive surroundings that cook up menus that allow them to think of themselves as foodies, or at least lovers of great American cookery."
