"I was visiting family nearby and they knew Sushi is a regular part of my diet and they were excited to take me to "Nobu." I was surprised that there was a Nobu here having been to the ones in NYC, San Diego and LA and I got excited. Quickly I realized this was not affiliated with the Nobu I knew and this was Nobu Sushi and Hibachi - lol. This spot for sushi is a 3. The menu was promising and the space is pretty nice and we sat in a room with booths since we didn't have hibachi. Maybe the hibachi would have been a better choice. Prices are reasonable, and our server was very nice. Plenty of parking and it is located in close proximity to other retailers. The sushi was fine, not great, not awful, just fine."

"We loved just about everything here with only a single split decision. First off, the manager was incredibly helpful in accommodating my wife's dietary limitations without sacrificing anything important. Our server was excellent. The vibe is stylishly comfortable. At our table of 5 we had: a half dozen oysters, which were perfectly chilled, nice size, good cocktail sauce; a Caesar salad and a split Fortuna salad minus burrata and croutons, both salads nice mix, well prepared; scallops for my wife, prepared simply with lemon and butter, with sides of roasted fingerlings and squash, all great; son had strip steak, cooked perfectly, very flavorful; DIL had the chicken piccata, which she said was delicious; and grandson and I both had the steak frites, once again the steak was cooked to order and very tasty. The split decision was on the frites, which seemed a little like hash browns, liked by one, neutral by one, and disliked by two, though we all agreed some good, hand cut homemade French fries would have been better. We had an excellent red blend wine, Baby Blue, for 3 of us, craft beer for 1, and Coke for 1. All in all, a really wonderful evening dining out while visiting family in the area."
"Japan House is a small, local hibachi and sushi spot located on Long Hollow Pike in a small shopping plaza behind the Taco Bell. I was craving sushi and had a trip planned to the nearby Kroger, so Japan House was in the right place and served up the right stuff! I ordered a pick-up order via their site, which was a breeze. I ordered, set my pick-up time and the rest was history. I went with an order of chicken gyoza, one Yum Yum roll and a Spicy Tuna roll. My rolls and the gyoza were decent, but really were not anything to write home about. The gyoza was over cooked and I could taste the oil they were cooked in. My yum yum roll was a tad tough/over fried and my spicy tuna roll turned out to just be a tuna roll, no spicy. For the price, around $28 after tip and service fee, I will say the rolls were as expected. I did enjoy the fact that they have a whole drive thru/pick-up window! That is the first time I have ever gotten my sushi through a takeout window! Service at the window was great as she was friendly and kind. Overall, I liked Japan House enough to give them another try in the future. Maybe I got the wrong rolls...or maybe hibachi is their thing more than sushi? Either way, I will be back and hopefully can add a star or two."
"We decided to try this restaurant on a whim. We walked in, were seated right away to a booth, which we always prefer. The restaurant was very clean and organized, which seems to be rare in Nashville (smh). The menu was straightforward and the food came out very quickly. The combination fajitas were spectacular, lots of flavor. The combo with the chicken quesadilla and cheese enchilada were very good as well. The waiter was on top of the drink refills. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!"
"The conversation went like this:"Want to grab dinner?""Yeah, what would you like?""A steak. I see a place in Hendersonville that has good ratings called Lyncoya Cafe and one up north of you in White House called the Colorado Grill"This is the point where I admit my complete ignorance and that I accepted the idea of Colorado Grill. No, it is not really a horror story, just a bit of a disappointment as I was thinking local spot instead of a chain. Three things made the decision for us: 1) Closer to her place, 2) No traffic, and 3) They have Prime Rib.The atmosphere is interesting. Reminds me a bit of the Fort in Colorado, as you walk in to a BFE: Big Friendly Elk. Okay, not so friendly as he is stuffed and just sits there and eternally brays silently at the guests. Televisions on the wall around the joint. Feels pretty chainish (yeah, my ignorance still showing here).Order Prime Rib, rare to medium rare. My friend orders salmon. I would normally say "look at the pictures here", but at 6:30 PM on a Friday, guess what? (dum dum dum) They are completely out of rare to medium rare prime rib. Nothing but well done. So, I order a Ribeye instead (same cut, different cooking style). Let's get to the points before going any further, as the points are based on the restaurant and not the bits below (which are more for management than you, the reader). I picked a 3 star as this is a typical chain, just like all of the O'RubyBackAppleHornTGILogans chain restaurants (like how I did that?). The food may be excellent for many diners, and I apologize if saying it is average sound like an insult, as it is not. It just means it is fine and nothing special, like most chains. Now to the bits I think can improve.First, the waiter had no clue the Zinfindel on the menu was a blush wine. He also ordered Chardonnay and returned with a Cabernet. Nothing bothering to me, but alcohol knowledge is a big part of being a server (at least from my experience years ago). No skin off my nose, but some people would be apopletic about this.Second (see pictures), a strip is not a ribeye. That was most likely a kitchen issue, but a waiter in a steakhouse, chain or not, should know what kinds of meat they serve. Again, training. Again, no points knocked off. BTW, for a chain, the Strip was nice. Now, the big question: Would I go back? I would say no, but I live far enough away it would have to be visiting my friend and her wanting to revisit. I am also a bad person to ask, unless I live close, as my norm is to keep trying everything rather than focus on repeat visits. My thoughts? If you are looking to stay in the White House area, this was the only steakhouse I saw. The food is decently priced, so if a steak is on your agenda (or you get there early enough (5 PM?) to get Prime Rib ... go for it). They also cooked the Strip Steak on point, so they know how to cook their meat. If you like chains, the steak has a nice criss cross char of an open flame, which I personally prefer to flat grill."
"From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The food, the service, the ambiance. Impeccable without being stuffy. Everything was perfectly cooked, and absolutely gorgeous. And the views....spectacular. If you really want a WOW experience, this is the place to go. I can't wait to go back."
"Valet parking. Walking upstairs to the door, and an amazing decorated mansion awaiting guests. A stately home decorated with chandeliers, white table cloths, fireplaces, dim lighting, mirrors and fine oil paintings. Several small dining rooms upstairs; each had about six tables. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, easy to carry conversations. The service was outstanding! Our waiter Scott was very warm and cheerful. He checked in on us throughout the meal and answered our questions patiently in great detail. Prices were on the higher end. Food was great! The famous corn cakes were served throughout the meal. Very addictive, one could easily end up eating too much and spoil the appetite for the entree. We ordered:5*Kelly's half filet with house salad: I have to sing praises of Kelly's for even offering the dish. I usually don't want to stuff myself at dinner and this is a perfect solution. The filet mignon was very tender and tasty, just perfect!4*Fish of the day: sea bass was cooked tender with an amazing sauce. 5*Prime aged bone in New York strip: it was a huge 18 oz steak. I didn't try it but was told very good. Every entree came with house salad and baked potatoes. The salad was ordinary, but the baked potato was so good I took it home. Overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes steakhouses."
"I made a quick getaway trip to Nashville to celebrate my wedding anniversary. One would point out, aren't you from New York and have a Carne Mare there? Yes, I am in Nashville but C'mon. It's Chef Andrew Carmellini who owns some of the coolest restaurants on the planet. Earlier this year, I was at Rec Pier Chop House in Baltimore for a family celebration, location isn't an issue.Walking inside the restaurant, the decor is simply stunning. It's dark but not clubby like a typical steakhouse with lots of wood. Carne Mare has a very sophisticated feel without being too stuffy. Everyone working at Carne Mare was approachable and very friendly. Once seated, we're given a wine list. I ordered a nice glass of Italian wine to get the party started. We're going over the menu items and mozzarella sticks topped with caviar leaps off the page. It doesn't go together, it's like peanut butter and pickles. Yet, its there. We went against the grain and ordered the dish. What the heck did we order? Chef, I'm sure the mozzarella was made in house. I do not eat mozzarella sticks, it tasted like frozen Farm Rich Mozzarella Sticks! So not a fan but I want it to be noted, We're not here for mozzarella sticks but some of that Carne. I have to point out, the bread that's brought to the table? If I had a glass of wine and the bread then I'd be a happy pappy. The bread is so good, it's a chef'd up, masterclass creation being used to every patron at Carne Mare. It's dark and I dropped a fork. Our table is in the back, close to the kitchen. All of a sudden, one of the floor managers comes to the table and gives me a new silverware set? Folks, that is just fantastic customer service. Our waitress is selling us on the Prime Rib. It's the restaurants specialty and its why it's highlighted in a box on the menu. I'm Italian and if I don't have pasta once a week I get cranky. I'm here to try the Pappardelle as well so I'm sold on the Prime Rib!I must point out, the waitress? She said this was her last week but boy was she spectacular. She read the menu and knew about every item and how it was prepared. The wait staff here is truly top notch. The Prime Rib cuts like butter. It's so tender and flavorful, it's a perfect cut and highly recommended. Personally my favorite, the Pappardelle is a home run. I know we're dining at a steakhouse but man oh man this pasta is from a Chef who trained in Italy. The Pappardelle with mint is heavenly. Sooo good! The restaurant was nice enough to give us housemade gelato and a piece of chocolate cake for our anniversary.Chef Carmellini, it truly was a pleasure to dine in your Nashville restaurant. I will be on line this Saturday morning at Lafayette in NYC. Keep rockin'!"
"I came here for lunch with a co-worker. There was plenty of parking and we were seated quickly! We started our meal with pork rinds, and they were hot and delicious! I highly recommend. She ordered the catfish dinner and I got the shrimp feast. My co-worker raved about the broccoli, so we both added a side of the broccoli. She was right - it was incredible! Definitely the star of the meal."
"Dang!!! this was delicious. I started off with the Bake Fetta (baked fetaroasted red bell pepper, tomatoes, currants, olives, capers, preserved lemon, mint orange syrup, warm focaccia wedge, avocado) and finished off with the (Cocoa Coffee Venison - medium rare plantain carrot relish, masa griddle cake, black bean mole, blackberry gastrique, sugar peas, ginger crema).I wish I could take a whole loaf of the masa griddle cake!! Everything was delicious. The vegetables were just okay but still pretty good.Highly Recommend"
"I've come here for dinner once but have been wanting to try the Gospel brunch and what better day than to come for Easter Sunday. As soon as I walked in, I could hear the beautiful angelic voices of the amazing artists. We chose to sit on the patio which was covered today but gave a nice breeze for the day. Our waiter was very attentive and walked us through the brunch menu but also letting us know that the majority of items on their dinner menu was also available to order. I ordered the chophouse omelet and a pineapple mimosa. The omelet was really good but a bit salty at times. The mimosa was really good. On the menu they only had a regular mimosa but I asked if they can do one with pineapple juice and they made it for me! The patio is away from the live music but at times they had some old school Gospel tunes playing on the speakers which was niceOverall, the music was amazing but would definitely plan to sit indoors next time just to hear the live music better but the food and atmosphere was really good. Highly recommend this place whether you're coming with your friends, family or a date, this restaurant is a nice treat The restaurant offers valet which was $17 today"

I really like Nobu, whether you eat in, or have to go delivered, it's always fresh, good value for the money and super polite staff. I tried another place like it nearby and it didn't even compare. 5 stars and will definitely not try anyone else nearby.

We had an absolutely amazing dinner! Starting with the sangria, both red and white and bread with whipped butter, we knew we were in for a treat with the quality and taste so far.I had the gnocchi with short rib and roasted squash and my husband had a the ribeye. My meal was so flavorful and well balanced, my only critique would be to ask for more of that roasted squash, there simply wasn't enough! My husband always gets a steak if we go out, he can't resist, and he has high standards for steak. Of all the places we've been to in the Nashville area, he says this was the BEST steak he's had-- both cooked and flavor-wise.We ended the meal with the Basque cheesecake which is "burnt" on top (intentionally!). The caramelized top from the browning of sugar and cream cheese adds so much richness. The interior is creamy and super smooth. Ever since I've had this style of cheesecake in Spain I've dreamed of having it again. It didn't disappoint and we asked for a second slice to take to friends. Our server, David, was also wonderful, he was welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. He had the gift of being at the table when you're ready to order and check in without being too present. That's a special talent anymore, we haven't had service like this in quite some time. It's a special occasion price point for us, but that's not a complaint by any means, every bite was worth the price. We may not be weekly diners, but we will make this our special date night restaurant.

Japan house is a weekly staple for my household as my picky eating wife is always in the mood for carry out hibachi. My go to is the chicken & filet combo add extra mushrooms to the veggies. I think we have had some sushi from here as well but it's not memorable. Not a bad price for the quantity of food you get & it's just as good as any sit down table service hibachi imho. Have to be careful when ordering on their site because often if you will pay for extra veggies and they will completely leave that veggie out of your order, which can be annoying. Otherwise this place is solid & quick.

We were quickly seated and ordered the Baja seafood tacos and steak burritos. Food was delivered in less than 5 mins with another basket of chips and salsa. We both enjoyed the food--my tacos had fresh mango and fried shrimp, and my counterpart was engrossed in their steak burritos the entire time, not looking up until they finished. We also ordered the flan, which was a great sweet finish to our meal. We're excited to come back again!Plenty of parking, clean bathroom, and many options to choose from at an affordable price! Came around early evening on a Monday so it wasn't too packed, but the service was super fast. Good ambiance and friendly staff.

My brother moved to the area last Friday, the 24th. We took a chance on a Friday night at 5. Packed parking lot but, to our surprise no waiting. We got right in. My burger was excellent! Sweet potato fries were also very good. Not greasy at all. After moving all day, a couple beers hit the spot. Service was great even though all waitress's were very busy. We'll be back!

All star service as always from a Michael Mina restaurant. Came in on a Sunday night trying to grab dinner and drinks before heading out for the night. It was a bit hard to find a spot at the bar but eventually we snagged a seat on the outdoor bar which is situated on the 34th floor and overlooking downtown Nashville. Spectacular skyline views! Meredith, our wonderful bartender made our night and I loved her honest opinion on food/drinks. For starters they give a trio of duck fat fries with three dipping sauces in lieu of bread. We also got the Ahi tartar which I probably wouldn't order again- needed more sauce and flavor. For main we got the brussel sprouts and delmonico (split in two) medium rare. It was good, not great and too fat/ chewy for my liking. Great experience still, would order differently on a future visit but at least worth grabbing a drink at the bar!

Their jumbo shrimp is to die for. They also are the most generous people in town at the zoo fundraising event. Their beef stuffed pastry was also so moist and tasty. Can't wait to come back for more!

"There are a lot of chain places to eat, but this is locally owned and operated. I think the owner was actually walking around saying hi to tables. He didn't come off as management. This place was great in every aspect. It was clean, very fast (ate at 8:00pm), staff was super friendly and attentive, and the food was REALLY good. My waiter told me the rotisserie chicken was most popular for 17 years, so i went with that. Did not disappoint! It was VERY good, flavorful and not dry! Great slight smoke flavor too!"
"Since I used to live in Texas I know this steakhouse very well. So, of course I'm going to go here while I'm in Nashville! I so missed these grass fed certified angus steaks! Nobody does it like this place. The ribeye was tender, juicy and buttery with that slightly smoked flavor. The Caesar salad is so yummy that I asked for the dressing recipe.. yeah, they wouldn't give it to me. It has just the right amount of salty, cheesiness. The bread is sweet and makes me think I'm being healthy eating wheat but once I slather that honey butter on it then it feels like a treat to myself. The service I received was exceptional and she deserved the extra tip!! I would go back to Saltgrass anytime. This is an upscale but casual vibe. The good upscale bit you can come in wearing shorts and a ball cap during the lunch hour.If you ever get the chance, definitely go to a Saltgrass Steakhouse.. there is one in Florida close to the Disney World Resort for those Disney fans, but I haven't found one in California yet."
"I'm always on the lookout for great Mexican food. I guess growing up in the SouthWest makes me partial to Mexican cuisine. A trip to the Nashville airport is a looooong one, so we stopped in Cookeville, the halfway point between Knoxville and the Nashville Airport for a bite of lunch. Naturally, we Yelped Mexican restaurants and after pursuing the extensive list, we decided on Rey's. One of the reasons for choosing this restaurant was their most recent health score of 100%.The restaurant is not far off the freeway, perhaps a half mile. It is near a hotel and has a bar area as well as a large general dining area. A Covid notice was posted at the host stand which asked the standard questions and assured customers that they followed Covid protocol. The restaurant was clean and attractively decorated. We were immediately seated and our server, Alyssa, asked for our drink order and then brought them back and took our order. There were three adults and two children in our party, and everyone ordered different entrees. My daughter had enchiladas which she said were some of the best she has tasted. My wife and I both had chimichangas, she had the shredded chicken and I had the fajita chicken. We asked that they be extra crispy with queso on the side and they were delicious. Our granddaughter had cheese nachos and all our grand-baby wanted was guacamole (at 11-months old, she is a guacamole connoisseur. Each entree was delivered at the same time to our table, piping hot and beautifully plated. Food and service are the most important issues at a restaurant. Our server, Alyssa, was attentive and pleasant and the food was outstanding. This place deserves your attention and patronage."
"Wow! One of the BEST salmon salads I have ever tasted! I requested the Hickory Grilled Chicken Salad to be replaced with Salmon and two more people beside me opted for the same! Great service, delicious biscuits, and wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be returning when back in town."
"Always a solid choice. They have very good steak, baked potatoes, and drinks. But the carrot cake... omg the carrot cake. I've been a professional carrot cake connoisseur for over 25 years now and have it for my birthday EVERY year. Theirs is hands down my absolute favorite. Their slice size is equivalent to about 3-5 slices and it's just so incredibly rich and delicious. My only wish is for it to have raisins but honestly with the glaze on the cake, I'm willing to forgive them. The service is always lovely and this is always a top contender for date night"
"Wow!! Please get Sean and Peyton!! Truly what a sweet and intimate experience. I just enjoyed the service. The wait staff was incredible and so so kind. I am never going to forget this. Our food tasted incredible. I could've had a smidge more salt on my ceasar but that's my personal preference. Otherwise, everything truly was incredible. No plate was left anything but empty."
"Food is bland. The shrimp taste funny. The rice is very bland and only has egg. The salmon is fishy. The service was very good. Our cook was hilarious. The ambiance is basic hibachi vibes. The hot sake is good."
"Our gang of four enjoyed our steak dinner. Friendly, attentive service.Steaks come with a single choice of side, salad bar, and bread if you ask for it. Salad bars take a lot of attention and was kept clean. We chose a Ribeye and Filet Mignon cooked to our order medium-rare with fully loaded baked potato.Seating was mostly couples and tables of four. Larger groups were in another room.Full bar. Private parking lot. Open for dinner Tues-Sunday, lunch Tues-Fri, and brunch only on Sunday.Convenient from BNA airport and The HermitageOverall good value for a steak dinner. The steak was of very good quality and taste.Reservation is essential. Two Small Gripes: * The baked potato had the consistency of a steamed baked potato* Bread was soft like you get at a wedding at a Holiday Inn."
"After trying them for dinner one evening, we decided to host our wedding rehearsal dinner here in one of their private rooms. They had a very professional setup and service, even let us use their screen for our projector. The food is great! Love the Chicken Marino and the Parthenon dip. New York Strip is great too. Will be back"
"Dinner tonight did not disappoint!! Tokyo is THE BEST Japanese Steak House in Middle TN!! The employees are kind and courteous, the chefs put on a GREAT show and serve a tasty meal. And the sushi is fresh!!We went this past weekend and 2 people in our party have a shrimp allergy. EVERYONE (chef, servers, Hostesses, etc) were made aware and every precaution taken to keep from having cross contamination of the shrimp and the shrimp was the last item cooked on the grill. It was my birthday, so I got the drum and song fromThe employees which was fun!We all left with full belies, smiles on our faces and even leftovers! (My favorite!!)"
"We've been going here for years. The current owners our doing a fine job. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening until karaoke started. The food was served promptly. The fish and chips were delicious! Our British friends approved. I loved that they were using biodegradable straws to help the aquatic life. Karaoke was WAY too loud and only one person got up from the crowd. The dj's young daughter sang. Great to give a child experience but she was also way to loud and definitely needed to be turned down. Another family was there with their dog. The dog was well behaved but the two children were running around the tables. I felt sorry for the staff dodging the kids. The interior could use a bit of love. I liked the ladies room was reconfigured. Cherokee was doing a fine job."
"Excellent food, atmosphere and service! We're greeted quickly and, even though we were still waiting for a few of our group to wander in, the server was taking drink orders almost immediately. We had some shareable appetizers among the group (cornbread and succotash are the ones I can remember). Most of the group got steaks (it is a steakhouse after all); I ended up get the corn cacio e pepe, which was so good. I added chicken and it didn't need it, was just fine without.Shorter cocktail and beer list, but what they had was good. Was told the dried meat cooler was viewable on a walk back to the restrooms, so checked that out too.Would definitely recommend Deacon's if you're looking for something a little more upscale and want a break from hot chicken and bars!"
"beautiful bar with a great beer selection. love the staff, great service. very photogenic bar too.great place for a predinner drink.make sure to check out the mens bathroom and learn the dark history."
"On our most recent visit, we sat at the bar and decided to stay there. The live musician, Jada, was fantastic! We had drinks and shared multiple appetizers. We love the classy vibe here and will definitely be back. Make a reservation!"
"I like this restaurant because it's consistent on good food quality, good service and good atmosphere. I have eaten here many times because of the reasons listed above. It's also easy to park and free. I had the prime rib and Brussel sprouts. I had not tried this particular dish before and it didn't disappoint."
"At the end of a long week, Old Hickory Steakhouse was the type of dinner and ambiance needed. The staff was pleasant and helpful with suggestions and fulfilling orders. The food tasted amazing and not what you'd expect at a hotel in Nashville."
"We stopped in this past Friday evening for dinner with some friends. We enjoyed the table side hibachi! We started with some soup and ginger salad which were tasty. I ordered the filet which came with fried rice and veggies as well. The fried rice was sooo good! The steak was also cooked to perfection."
"Of all the things I miss about living in Franklin Sperry's is close to the top of the list. The food is quality and the service is superb. It's some of the best prime rib and steaks anywhere. They don't rush you to turn a table. Your server monitors your table as you move through drinks and your salad as not to bring the entree too soon. The atmosphere is old school steak which is exactly what I love. They even have a salad bar which is always fresh."
"We had an excellent time dining at the palm. The service here was absolutely amazing and the food here was excellent!I ordered the filet with garlic mashed potatoes and left extremely satisfied. Our cocktails were delicious as well. If you're looking for a good steakhouse definitely check out the palm!"
