Adorable spot on Espanola Way. The service was polite & prompt. The food was simply delicious. We started with the mare misto, the batter has a great flavor. Pasta was cooked to perfection, we had the "cacio e pepe", highly recommended for a simple yet tasty dish. Strawberry cheesecake topped the night. Waiter provided us some free limoncello. 10 outta 10.

This place is a "namesake restaurant " for the owners/family who began in NYC with some truly outstanding pizza, and expanded into other equally good dishes in their NYC locations. A few years ago I stumbled onto this place as "Pizzaria Numero 28" in Miami. I was delighted to see expansion to Miami and Austin. The pizza and pasta at that time were truly outstanding. Fast forward to my recent visit. I saved this dinner for my last night in South Beach. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. The pizza margherita was AWFUL. Consisting of likely a frozen crust which was flavorless with no "life or bite". On this stale "frisbee" was placed a thick layer of a tomato paste like "sauce" with no flavor or delicacy. Then they showered this tomato sludge with shot-like "pellets" of something resembling mozzarella. This whole monstrosity was finished with 3 lonely pieces of basil, arguably the freshest and most flavorful part of this sad pizza. The "manager" was apologetic. Finding it to be inedible, I sent it back to the "kitchen" that produced it. BTW our pizza looked NOTHING like those pictured in other reviews. The arugula and bresaola salad was good, yet it arrived without the required lemon to finish the dish. The Mushroom risotto was flavorful, but was not accompanied by any offer of additional grated Parmesan. The tiramisu, which was offered as a consolation gift from management, was unremarkable especially when compared to the one we ordered at Prima Pasta a few nights earlier. Service was an enigma considering there were only two tables in the entire restaurant seated with patrons. No staff returned to check on my satisfaction with the salad or the pizza therefore necessitating a search for staff to acquire a lemon for the arugula. In fact the staff was incognito during most of my dining experience. The night then ended with a wait of over 10 minutes to have staff collect payment for the bill. Gonna be tough for this place to compete with Hosteria Romana, long a favorite in Miami, across the street. Romana was full of lucky diners. I only wish I had been one of them.MANY GREAT ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN MIA THIS SADLY IS NO LONGER ONE OF THEM.

This place is amazing. Unfortunately they're wasn't anyone else there when we ate outside, but there should have been!!! I honestly think everyone else was too busy worrying about every other place on espanola way that was way too busy. But this place had stellar food and excellent service. It was the best decision we could have made. Miguel was awesome and we had a great time with him. I will be a customer in the future.

I can not belive that this place did not get more reviews. We came from out of town and came about this place as we saw the place across was packed with people and this one not so many tables full, so we decided to give it a try and it was just amazing and will probably remember this place for a long time due to the hospitality of the owner and the amazing food. I highly recommend the bronzeno fish with those amazing potatoes. Everything was amazing. If I'm in Florida again it's a definite re do.

By far the best Italian restaurant in Miami Beach. I stumbled upon this gem while walking through Española Way, I loved the decoration and it wasn't crazy loud like the rest of the restaurants on the street. The burrata was of exceptional taste and texture. The tuna and salmon tartare were very fresh and tasty as wellThe best part was the linguini with arugula and pistachio pesto, wow! A masterpiece! The service was very attentive Would give more stars if possible

The best food on Espanol way. Homemade pastas and pastries. Usually not as crowded as the other places but should be based on the great food and service. The staff is friendly and make great recommendations.
