"Went to the first time last night , easy to find , plenty of free parking lots, a restaurant for delicious Cuban sandwich and more , they have tables and chairs , you order in the counter and they take you the food to you , they were not hungry for your money like other restaurants that when you buy a soda or a sandwich they put you the screen in front of you to charge you 20 or 30 percent tip , here is not the case , it is like Burger King or Wendy's etc The food was delicious, the place was busy and people seems to be enjoying their food We had a steak Cuban sandwich and taste it excellent, we also order frita cubana that was special for 4 dollars and was good too"
"The Cordero on Saturday special is absolutely sumptuous. The portion is huge. The service is second to none. Pan con bistec, yuca frita and their fries are a work of art! Hard to see from the front that it's a restaurant. Around back they have many outdoor tables. Inside is cool, clean and cheerful. Don't miss it, in my opinion it's the best Cuban Restaurant in Miami!"

"I was looking for some Cuban food in the area, and this place happened to be within walking distance of my hotel. I came by for dinner on a Monday at around 7, and it wasn't too crowded. To start, I had the grilled Argentinian provolone cheese. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish this myself but I wanted to try it anyway. It was perfectly melty, and was nice with the tomato it was topped with, and the toasted garlic butter Cuban bread they give you at the start of the meal. Eat it quick though because once it starts cooling off, the cheese gets hard and it's difficult to eat. For my main, I had the fried pork chunks. It comes with your choice of two sides so I went with the rice and beans, and some broccoli. The pork was served on top of avocado sauce, which I wish they had put on the side. The oil from the pork mixed in with the sauce, making it kind of separated. Some pork chunks were good (the fattier ones), but they were mostly dry. I didn't care for the rice and beans. They do give pretty big portions here though. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing. Looking back, it seems more like an Argentinian restaurant, and they probably just threw a few Cuban items on the menu.If you're looking for Cuban food, this ain't it."
"I cannot speak on the food, but this was a nice little stop during my vacation! The bar inside is pretty small, so since there were 3 of us we decided to grab a table outside. We were greeted with chips and salsa and menus. We knew we wanted to drink, so decided it made most sense to share a mojito pitcher. There were quite a few flavors to choose from, but we chatted and voted on kiwi. After ordering, we kinda just took in all the hustle and bustle -- we were in South Beach after all, so it was poppin! The mojito pitcher came in a few minutes, along with a glass for each of us. It was delicious -- minty and the kiwi flavor was there! The chips and salsa were satisfying all the way as well. The pitcher was expensive ($50), but such prices are expected down there. I'd come back to try the food!"
"Do you want an alternative to the local "Latin" eating establishment in southern Dade this is the place. Don't expect fancy decorations or over the top service just good old fashioned Cuban food. And when I say old fashion I mean like my dad made for us and his clients back in the day. To call it a simple plate is not the proper adjective more like a platter. Yes when you order a plate and take half of it home it's a platter. The wife had the Chicarron de Cerdo, think of deep fried pork belly with rice black beans and sweet plantains. All it needed was some mojo on the the side (a simple suggestion) and you have a home run. I had the breaded chicken steak that looked like a blanket. Very tender and juicy. And if you get an appetizer make sure you have at least 4 people or be prepared to take some home. Great fast food for the family. Take out looks like a must but great little hole in the wall with fantastic food."
"Went to Casablanca on the bay for a family dinner and it was great! Very nice views, good service and the food was good! The restaurant itself is a bit outdated but that didn't take away fro nether experience."
"Why have I never been to Chugs before? I came today for their Miami Spice lunch and boy it did not disappoint. The interior is understated, kinda old fashioned and like a homely diner. I loved it. The service was super friendly and efficient. This place is wonder by the same establishment as the Michelin star Ariete, and it shows. This place also has a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Well deserved. My only grip - it was very hot inside. I don't think their air con was working properly.I sampled the following from Their Miami Spice lunch menu - Appetizer - Buffalo Chicken Croquetas served with Bleu Cheese Crumbles, Hot Sauce, Saltines and pickle. These were very good. An interesting flavour and the blue cheese made them pop.Main - Abuela's Plate which is White Rice, Black Beans, Banana and a choice of: Lechón, Pollo a la Plancha, or Chicharron. I opted for the Chicharron. This was a hearted plate, filled with love. A modern take on a Cuban classic.Dessert - Seasonal Flan. Baked Custard. This is basically a creme caramel. This is where the word basic is lost. This dessert is anything but BASIC, it was phenomenal. I also overheard another patron tell his lunch buddy, "I do not like flan, but when I tell you, their flan is fxxxxing fantastic! (THEY SAID IT, AND I AGREE)Because the food was so good, I also opted to sample one of their milkshakes. I tried a mamey and mango one. It was excellent. It was definitely Cuban style.I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Ariete's flan and this flan are the best I have ever had. According to my server, he told me the pastry chef makes both of them. This guy needs a pay rise. His flans are decadent, smooth. silky and just heavenly."
"I made a reservation for three (Ronnald, myself and my dog child) on Yelp the night before for lunch on Sunday. We found parking out front, it's paying street parking ($1.90 per hour) with pay to park. They open at 11am so several people were waiting but it went fast. We got seated in the large back patio. What gave me an instant good impression is how friendly and accepting they were with my little Elvis. Even when he was hanging out off leash but not bothering anyone they were kind.He served just like us in his bowl and got his own little plate:)We ordered the variety of appetizers Vitrola because I wanted to try several ones and this is a good deal to do so. Every single item on there was so delicious! I couldn't believe nothing was mediocre but all items were beyond excellent! I was so full I hardly had space for my media noche with fries. Serving is also very pleasing for the eye and social media! The plates are beautiful.Ronnald M got the churasco. Elvis had a little of everything and still wanted more :)Shoutout to our amazing server Sadys that served us with a smile including paying attention to my baby dog. She was on top of all and made it an extra pleasant experience. Highly recommended! This is a tourist hot spot but the prices are very good actually!!! You get the best experience as a tourist for little Havana while also having amazing food!!"

Good Cuban restaurant in West Miami. I've been coming here for years, the staff is always friendly and they keep it clean. They have all the traditional Cuban meals, all of them tasty. Next door is the bakery where you can get all your sweet tooth cravings. I will admit they have gone up in prices over the years, but with inflation and rising costs I understand. They're not as well known as the other Cuban restaurants on Calle Ocho, but you should definitely give them a try.

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch, I ate the lechon asado with yellow rice and plantains. The dish was served hot, every bite had a lot of flavor, the rice was a little salty but the sweet plantains complemented my food nicely. The bread was hot and delicious. I also ordered a glass of sangria. The sangria was strong and sweet. It had a lot of fresh fruits. Overall nice experience. The server was very nice and took good care of me. The restaurant venue is very accommodating and spacious.

We'll be back cause we love it!!! I would've gave them a 5 star ratting but the server was wack, servers are usually fabulous!

Our time trying Cuban food other than at our friends house. The Croqueta Preparada w fries and Pan con Lechon w fries were both super yummy and came in big portions. The girls in the store were very nice and we were even offered their cilantro sauce for the fries when I asked for more mayo. That sauce was amazing. The reason I left 4 instead 5 of stars is the fries with both sandwiches were pretty cold (it's an easy fix for the future) and the shredded pork on the pan con lechon was just a tad salty. I realize the other sandwich had the same meat, but with ham, cheese, croquetas, mustard and pickels it was not noticeable. We definitely would come and eat here again.....

I hadn't been to Casablanca on the bay for brunch in a while and the food definitely didn't disappoint as remembered! The open buffet has several options and carving stations. Sushi bar. Taco station. Raw seafood station. Chicken and waffles. The whole carved salmon was amazing. The grouper soup was delicious. Crab potato salad, prawn cocktail, and the seafood paella were also some of my favorites. I absolutely went back for seconds! And of course I always opt for patio seating for the water view and ambiance. After we finished eating, the bottomless drinks kept coming as we sat at chatted. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Which always adds to an experience for me.

I had high expectations for chugs diner due to the fact it has been featured and tagged countless times on social media. The food was average, and our sandwiches were on the dry side plus the meat was overcooked. To add to not being that impressed by the food the service was also subpar. Our server took 15 minutes to acknowledge us and never brought the table water. My overall impression is that since it's a trendy place people flock to it. But, Chugs just did not live up to the hype for me.

"Stopped by here for a drink while walking around the Bayside Marketplace, and they have one the BEST piña coladas. Perfectly creamy and smooth with just the right thickness and that perfect pineapple/coconut flavor. We ordered it in a pineapple, and they give you some of the pineapple on the side to go with the drink. Definitely enough to share between two. It is a little pricier here. The drink itself was $35, which is a fair price for what you get, but they charge a mandatory 20% service charge on the bill. That being said, I enjoyed this drink so much I would still go back for it. Nice area to sit and enjoy while looking over the water.Definitely a must-stop for their Piña Colada."
"Best Cuban restaurant around this area. Must tries are the Churrasco, the bistec Milanese, pan con bistec and their breakfasts. The waitresses are very good too."
"We love this place when we don't feel like cooking breakfast or dinner. It's typically not too busy, and you can get seated within 5 minutes, if not immediately. The service is usually pretty great and everyone is attentive and food is reasonably priced. On our particular visit we ordered Ropa Vieja. With rice and beans and Maduro it makes this a solid meal that never disappoints. Our server Juan was friendly and very attentive. His positive attitude made our visit enjoyable. I wanted to take photos but we were hungry, so hopefully next time!"
"After the beach, we were looking for Cuban sammie but everything in the area seemed like tourist traps. I don't think Cuban sandwiches should cost $15. Then, I found Cubaton via Yelp and it looked decent. So we stopped in on a Sunday at around 4. I had Pan con Lechon (slow-roasted mojo-marinated pork, mojo onion, & garlic-cilantro aioli) and Hubby had the Original Hot Honey Cubano (slow-roasted mojo-marinated pork, smoked ham, melted swiss, pickled jalapeño, mustard, & hot honey). I was expecting the pan con lechon to be dry but thankfully it wasn't. I liked the pickled onions. The sandwich could have used more aioli. The hot honey cubano was meh. I think there was just too much going on there, but we took that risk. Should have just stuck to the original. Maybe that one is better. It's not bad if you happen to be in the area, but if I was looking for a go-to Cubano shop, this wouldn't be it. P.S. Check out their bathroom. It has a fun theme."
"I really liked this place. I think the food was good and the prices reasonable. I had the vaca frita which was good, with moros, and french fries. The service was good. We did visit at around 3pm on a weekday so I'm not sure how busy this place gets during lunch, given the fact that they are located right next to Government Center Station. I'll definitely visit again."
"Gorgeous hidden patio area makes outdoor dining a breeze. Loved the ambiance and the outdoor mural. The food was super rich- the chorizo croquettes were salty and heavy, I wish they came with more sauce to cut through and lighten the bite. But really interesting flavor. My partner had a chicken rice (arroz imperial) dish that was flavorful but I wish it was slightly more aesthetic than just a blob of cheese on top. The passion fruit mojito was the perfect drink super light and refreshing! Space was awesome, food was decent but overpriced for what it was which is standard meats, rice, cheese, chicken. Think we spent a little over $70 on a light dinner."
"When visiting Miami, you hope the food is over the top. When going to a high tourist area such as Miami Beach, the food, ambiance, atmosphere, and experience better have that wow factor that will impress you from start to finish. After walking up and down South Beach all afternoon, my lady and I finally agreed to dine at "Call Me Cuban". Located at 1300 Ocean Drive in the heart of Miami Beach, this place is tucked right next to the Cardozo Hotel and adjacent to 13th St. As with all businesses in this area, parking is virtually nonexistent so it is best to arrive here by foot or rideshare. Or if you're fortunate enough, there are several hotels in close proximity to this place. Even though they've only been opened since 2021, the high amount of positive Yelp reviews made this place a must-try for my lady and I. We arrived during the afternoon of Sunday 3/17/2024 at around 3:35pm in which would be a late-lunch/early-dinner. Since it was a beautiful warm 84°F day, we opted to sit outside where you can get a full view of the park and beach only a couple hundred feet away.If you do plan on dining inside, this place has a dazzling interior including a pink neon sign that reads "Miami Made me do it!", a hot pink piano, colorful lighting, and comfy snakeskin lounge chairs. The entire representation of Cuba is apparent here as everything is presented quite beautifully. Best of all, this place has very generous hours of operation being open Monday-Friday from 9am-11pm and Saturday-Sunday from 9am-12am. This includes several rotating menus including Brunch, Happy Hour, Cocktails, and standard food menu.Since I was starving, I decided on ordering an appetizer of their "Tostones" (crispy fried plantains). My main entrée was their "Vaca Frita" which consisted of caramelized crust angus beef topped with onions, Mojo, Moro, and Maduro. My lady went with their "Guacamole A La Cubana" as her appetizer of choice. This used fresh avocados, jalapeño pico de gallo, and crispy Malanga chips. She opted for their "Pollo Cuban Tacos" which use lemongrass chicken, coriander, and cilantro topped with roasted pineapples, pico de gallo, and guacamole cream. Finally, we opted for a bucket of iced cold Coronas; only $20 for four! Not a bad deal considering you're at the heart of South Beach. As far as my angus beef, it was seasoned and cooked to perfection as the meat was very tender while I could taste the authentic Cuban seasonings. My plantains were also quite delicious as they gave me four very generous pieces that were caramelized to perfection. And the crispy Tostones had an excellent crispiness when dipped in the dressing. Even the Cuban rice w/black beans tasted delicious. I also had a couple bites of her taco and the chicken tasted moist and above average. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating as she always made sure we were being taken care of.I will say that I was somewhat quite hesitant eating a big meal at South Beach since prices tend to be significantly higher than other parts of Miami. But this place was actually reasonably priced as we were able to stay full throughout the rest of the afternoon. All in all, I am going to give "Call Me Cuban" a perfect and unanimous five-star Yelp review. Excellent food, service, ambiance, and a great overall experience!"
"The staff working here on a Sunday night were not the most friendly, and on top of that - when I showed the lady working that I had a Yelp Check-in offer for a free drink with food purchase, she said she didn't know what it was and then didn't honor it. She made me feel dumb and wasn't nice about it at all. She was also on her phone often and didn't seem to care about anything..Note to whoever is running this business: please remove the Yelp check in offer if your staff won't honor it.Besides the interaction, my food was overall pretty good. A solid 4/5 for the bistec sandwich. Fries were alright."
"Amazinggg vibes here! My friends and I came for lunch and loved it. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly! The food was great and the presentation and restaurant itself was cute. Loved it!"
"I came here today with my two friends to sample the Miami spice 2024 lunch menu. It did not disappoint. I ordered the following - Fried Calamari. This was so, so fresh. The calamari were soft and not chewy at all. The batter was so light and crispy. A great appetizer. My friends had the tuna tacos. I sampled a bit, and they were also very good. The tuna was extremely fresh. For my main I ordered the Linguini with Shrimp. This came with a finger licking garlic, butter, white wine, and parsley sauce. A solid dish.My friends ordered the Branzino and salmon. They stated they were very pleased with their choices. For dessert we all had their flan. This was also pleasant, although I wish there was more caramel sauce served with it. We also had a cappuccino each to round off our lunch. Not only did they look pretty, but they were wonderful too.The decor is pleasant. Look at my photographs to see their unusual bottle themed chandelier. The service was also top notch. A five stars from me."
"Why doesn't this place have more customers?? They deserve way more hype than some other famous places in SoBe. All the food we tried here tasted fresh and delicious. In fact, their ceviche was the best I had in Miami despite going to a lot of other famous Peruvian places (Cviche 105, Manta, etc.)"
"Discount Cuban Food.Three of us ate for $30 in total ... not too bad.Coffee, rice, beans and maduros were absolutely wonderful.Mains, soups and baked goods were meh.On the plain meat I got served for my main course (Liver with onions and green peppers), I forgot about the hot sauce on my table.I have little doubt that hot sauce would have helped a lot.* * *Arahi's is on the eastern fringe of Little Havana.Go west on Calle Ocho and you hit the epicenter of the Little Havana tourist zone. This part of Calle Ocho is to be avoided like the plague.Go farther west and you are in Cafe Versailles and La Carreta land.Once again Cuban paradise has been restored.* * *You are not here for legendary Cuban. You go to Havana Harry's for that. You are not here for portions that are massive beyond massive beyond massive.Again you go to Havana Harry's for that. You are here for everyday Plain Jane Cuban at an attractive price. The place is 2/3 full most of the time - which is pretty good.Nearly all of the customers are old Cubans. There is not a tourist to be seen. The menu is written in illegible handwriting on a plastic board.Bring your reading glasses.Bring your willingness to take random guesses as to what the more incomprehensible lines actually mean. But there is more to like than to dislike. If you ate here regularly, you would find the main dishes they have here that are actually pretty good.* * *If you go to one and only one Cuban restaurant in Miami,Arahi's bakery shouldn't be it.If live in Miami, you are not made of money, and the rent for your apartment is killing you,Arahi's looks better and better."
"I haven't 5 star'd in a very long time. Happily, I am giving 5 very well-deserved stars to A Touch of Cuba. Physically, the space is attractive; a "touch" of Cuban artistry without overdoing it. The servers are excellent - knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The food, I mean, the FOOD!!! OUT OF THE WORLD!!!!PLEASE DO NOT NOT EAT HERE!!! I promise you will tell all your friends about A Touch of Cuba!!!!‼"
"Miami is changing and Las Palmas represents the old downtown past but in a good way. I ordered a Cuban coffee with sugar which was a mere 90 cents. That is old downtown Miami. The Cafe certainly is not upscale but it is a place to find some Cuban nibbles and you do not want to pass on the Cuban coffee."
"I can't believe how good this place was... why did i not found out about it sooner!? Service was excellent, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, a little fancy place in Kendall who would have thought...great menu and how do i explain that everything we ordered was delicious; croquetas, pizza, pasta, dessert, everything was great. Totally recommended."
"I had the best plantain soup here. It tasted like a pastele, so yummy! service was ok, had to chase down our waitress a bit, but she was nice. The restaurant is clean and was pretty big."
"I happen to be a tourist in the area and found Abuela on Uber eats and was so hungry and needed a really quick snack. I ordered the empanadas, croquet and fries plus the fresh mango smoothie, which was out of this world. I could have a smoothie every single day of my life and never get sick of it. She literally blended real mangoes. I'm in shock. The empanadas were incredible, we got the beef ones and my husband was just obsessed with it. He actually didn't let me have anything more than one bite because we ordered two pieces and he wanted more. The croquet were also amazing. The platter came with three different flavors, which were ham, cheese, and chicken. I couldn't tell the difference between the three of them honestly I'm so blown away with this place. I highly recommended to everybody."
"This whole in the wall is near the airport. When you walk in one side is bar/restaurant and the other side is the liquor store. We came because we got dropped off early for our flight and wanted something outside of the airport. This place was full of people and you can tell a lot of regulars come here. Food was amazing! And their cafe con leche was sooo good. The burgers are huge and sharable. We got the two most popular burgers and both were flavorful. Next time I'm in Miami this will be my first stop"
"I took my out-of-town friend here as the rating is pretty good, and it was such a disappointment, I felt embarrassed that she may think this is the best Miami can offer. We had the baby lamb riblets, and I'd say that this is the toughest lamb chop I had ever had in my life. Once we started cutting into it we knew it was overcooked, and after sawing through the meat we could see it was all well done and grey. The little pig feast was no better. It must be a five year old piglet to yield meat this dry and tough. The seafood casserole is a nice portion, the flavor was good, but again the chef overcooked the ingredients. Overpriced for very mediocre food."
