"Hmmm....where do I start? From the outside, Macondo seemed like another hole-in -the-wall on the corner of a small shopping strip surrounded by warehouses with 16-wheeler trucks buzzing by.However, when I opened the door to the place, the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee made me forget the outside world and all my worries, ahhhhh....and the ambiance was chill with some people busily working on their laptops. The wood decor gave the place a warm fuzzy feel. The order counter was directly facing the entrance door and the menu is high up on the right on a huge blackboard neatly written in by hand. There were all kinds of delicious dishes including an assortment of vegan meals. I placed my order at the counter, paid, and was given an order number on a stick and instructed to place it on the table of my choice.Soon thereafter, the food was brought to my table. The hot mocha and my husband's cappuccino was deliciously flavorful. The food seasoning made my heart sing. The servers were courteous and responsive.Lovely place to visit at least once. However, I plan to come by regularly in the near future!"
"We're actually blown away by our breakfast at Threefold Cafe this morning! For starters, the staff and service was incredible. We joked that they must have all taken the Chick-fil-A training or something! Our server Monica was phenomenal and so sweet. Multiple servers came around and checked on us regularly. They all had such a great attitude and willingness to serve with pleasure. So refreshing. The Brekkie Sanga was one of Monica's top recommendations and it was absolutely delicious. So flavorful and fresh. The house made hashbrown on the side was the perfect touch and the server who brought out our food highly recommended we have some tomato jam with it so he kindly brought some out for us(again, going above and beyond). The indoor seating area is so cute but we opted to sit outdoors since the weather was so nice this morning. The pricing was all under $20 with the Brekkie Sanga being $16 and the American Coffee $4 with $1 refills. Fantastic pricing for this area. Overall, fantastic experience. Highly recommend and will be coming back soon!"

"Nice location and a fun breakfast menu, as well as lots of cocktails. Service was fast and food flavorful. Nice breakfast facing the beach."
"Stopped in after a run group for some refreshment. Non-carb folks yes you can eat here (if you can resist the fresh baked goodness). A la carte eggs avo bacon sausage etc and choice of dairy or non dairy for the brewed drinks make choices easy. The service is quick and everything made fresh."
"super friendly staff. I wasn't so sure if i made the right choice at first because i wanted to grab something to go and just be in and out... upon entering i noticed it was pretty full but decided to order something anyway. The menu is very extensive with many options and everything looked good. I ordered the chicken wrap to go and it was huge. i only had half and i was full.Although I was in a rush it was def worth the few extra minutes wait when the food tastes this good!"
"This is another delicious place when it comes to Greek food. Everything I've eaten at this place has been good; nothing has ever been questioned in terms of freshness and quality. The service has always been excellent. And the ambiance? Who can complain about sitting overlooking the intercoastal, with a charming young lady for a romantic evening?"
"So happy that we stumbled across this charming cafe. The service was friendly, the restaurant itself clean and comfortable, the portion sizes were generous, and the food was good. Can't ask for much more than that!"
"Really nice, small Euro-cafe like restaurant situated in a location that you wouldn't expect. So they mix Euro style cooking with Latin and the combination simply works. Expect a line most of the time (it moves reather quickly) and also keep in mind that you will wait three times as long for an inside seat than sitting outside (covered). Would like to see ice tea on the menu, coffee and lemonade were the other choices unless you want soda. Vegetarians, please make sure to remove ham from the avacado toast. Service was above average and prices were very reasonable. Would certainly go back and this place has earned it's stars...."
"This place was awesome. It seemed like all the locals came here. I went here on a Sunday morning and it was so busy but they handled it very well. I came here because it was close to my hotel but honestly didn't disappoint. I love when I can get fresh juice!!"

Visited Macondo (Doral) on a Sunday, and it was a great experience (it's at the corner of a mid-size shopping center, and there was plenty of available parking on the Sunday (June 23, 2024) that I went). This place is a mix between a cafe, a restaurant, and a modern cafeteria. As soon as you walk in, you'll see a giant chalkboard menu to the right, well-designed for easy viewing while waiting to order. Once you place your order, you'll receive a number to take to any available table. The food was fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, and just right.* El Gringo wrap was amazing, especially with picante sauce (my husband's favorite).* The guava croissant cookie was a pleasant surprise, warm and fresh. (I personally enjoy sweet guava desserts, so if you not into guava this may not be your thing, but I always recommend trying everything once--you never know).* Dulce de leche pancakes were delicious, not too sweet or heavy.*The avocado toast was fresh and tasty.* I had a cappuccino with almond milk (no sugar), which was awesome. *My husband ordered an iced matcha with almond milk, and it was excellent, smooth without the usual matcha aftertaste. * We also had freshly squeezed orange juice, which was naturally fresh and not overly sweet. There was a live singer, singing and playing acoustic guitar, which was a nice surprise.I definitely recommend anyone to check out Macondo (Doral)!

Loved this place!!! I came here with my husband and a few coworkers and we loved it. Finally a true breakfast restaurant. Really good for brunch. We ordered an omelette and some French toast and both were amazing. The French toast was a little too sweet for me but I usually don't like sweets. So makes sense it would be too sweet for me. My fav was the coffee tho. I would come back here just to have some coffee. The place also has a kid section in the back where they seated us. Soooo nice!! Our kids got to play with toys and books they had there while we enjoyed the marvelous food. Loved this and I def recommend!

Miami Beach is in a world of its own!The art deco buildings, the strand on the beach, the colors that are so vibrant, the vibe given off here you could cut with a knife; I really like Miami Beach. The News Cafe is an institution on Ocean Drive. The brainchild of renowned restaurateur Mark Soyka, News Café debuted in 1988 as one of the only restaurants in Ocean Drive's Art Deco district. We sat outside with our dear friends who live here and got the "Low Down" on what has taken place here. But, that's a whole other story! We enjoyed our lunches of:My Gianni Burger (named after Gianni Versace) was delicious and it came with a very nice saladOne Cobb Salad and One Asian Chopped salad for the girlsAn Egg, mushroom and Swiss cheese omelet for my friendEverything was very good including the service. But, the people watching was the best. Characters of all sorts along with tourists and locals, made this lunch extra special.

Love coming here to read my book or write in my journal with a delicious ice cold brew. They also have pastries and snacking wood oven pizza and more! Love the ambiance and the space is spacious for seating. They have a cute outdoor patio to sit when the weather is perfect! The staff are friendly! Great place in north Miami!

Adorable Brooklyn meets Seattle ambiance as it feels like one of those characterterful cafe's tucked away in a big city, a "hidden gem" vibe. Uniquely (for Miami), prices are actually more than fair considering the decent portions. And most importantly, the food is delicious and high-quality. Everything from our omelettes to wraps to their steak was excellent quality and very tasty. Coffees are excellent too. I would love to see them take a few more chances, maybe offer some more exciting "specials" towards the weekend evenings. Also, the desserts need a redo. Cakes are quite dry and average (though the chocolate cookies are a winner!).(Another "foodie" suggestion: a huge menu is overwhelming, delays ordering and potentially stresses guests. There's a bit of redundancy too between wraps/panini's/salads/etc. Have a restaurant/chef consultant come in to review/trim menu making it much easier/quicker to order.)

My friend and I tried Giorgio's for the first time for a weekday breakfast. Their outdoor seating is BEAUTIFUL, with flowers crawling up the posts and a perfect view of the intracoastal waterway. Our server was quick and friendly. We ordered an array of breakfast items: home fries, bacon, plain bagel, and smoked salmon avocado toast. My avocado toast was yummy and came with a huge side salad! The avo toasts aren't on the breakfast menu though, so make sure you take a peak at the lunch/dinner menu!Inside, there's a large array of bakery items for takeaway. I can't wait to try this local gem for dinner!

"Chocolate Fashion is such an adorable Coral Gables staple. If you love croissants, coffee and French vibes, this is your spot. I have traditionally visited for pastries and breakfast but they have a solid lunch menu as well. The atmosphere inside and out makes you feel like you are in France, and I love it. If you have a special occasion, they also have phenomenal pastries and desserts. This spot has stood the test of time and has been a neighborhood favorite since the early 2000s. In Miami, to stand the test of time with great service, good prices, and delicious food is truly remarkable. If you haven't visited, make your way there for a treat. Parking is available on the street or in a few parking garages nearby."
"Lovely food!Delicious Shakshuka that could be shared between two people; we requested it vegetarian!Cafe con leches were perfect- love the coffee art!!Staff was attentive and quick with the bill/ordersBathroom, although just one, was modern and friendly (haha this is important for us that just landed in the city!)"
"What a wonderful experience, this restaurant has a wonderful menu, staff, and ambiance. I absolutely adored brunch at this restaurant. The menu has everything I missed from Brazil. I was craving acai and this is by far the best one I have eaten here in Miami. The texture was perfect, generous amount of fruits and coconut made this absolutely fantastic. We also tried the avocado toast, the Cozinhas and Passion Fruit. Everything was delicious, fresh and delightful. I can't wait to return. I highly recommend you to go to this restaurant, all the staff members were friendly and attentive. For parking: There is a parking lo near by for less than two hours $10,40 (Stress free) "Uma experiência maravilhosa, parabéns. Muito obrigada com vocês""
"Don't walk RUN to this place! I'm really happy to have walked down the block just to look around and see the changes Miami has made since my last visit and stumble upon eggstaurant, it was after hours so I wasn't able to try it then but I made plans for that morning to make it my business to try this place. The store has hints of pink starting from the outside, and egg decorations throughout, including the lighting decor and you also receive an egg with your order number. First impression of the service the cashier was giving a homeless woman a cup of water so he was already good in my book. My first day here I ordered the turkey sausage egg and cheese which comes with sriracha mayo sauce and the second day I ordered the turkey bacon egg and cheese which comes with a special ketchup sauce and also an order of hash browns. Out of both sandwiches the sausage was my favorite. The brioche bun is fresh and delicious and the eggs are scrambled and made to perfection. My next visit this will be my Miami go to breakfast spot."
"Great local coffee house with an amazing concept! The owner, hires people with different abilities which is a play on words for what society calls people with "disabilities"! I love this concept so much I recently visited and almost cried! The dirty chai lattes and cappuccinos were amazing! Thank you for having non-dairy milk for this very lactose intolerant customer! The food was also delicious! We tried the breakfast croissant sandwich and patries! Which to my surprise some of their pastries are from one of my favorite coffee spots in Pinecrest! The ambience feels very cozy and homey! The service was amazing! I keep telling myself forget Star_____ and keep coming to Our Grounds!Trust me you won't be disappointed and you'll feel good about supporting this conscious business!"
"Thanks Yelp for finding this Argentina gem for me! I was looking for a breakfast spot near our hotel, and this spot got rave reviews. They serve a $7.99 breakfast which include 2 eggs (fried or scrambled), 2 strips bacon, 1 bread (w/ jam & butter), and 1 ham & cheese croissant - which is a great deal, and the breakfast was really good! I esp. loved the ham & cheese croissant - the croissant was sweet, so the sandwich was a perfect sweet & salty surprise! We also got their Americano coffee for $1.99 - and that was really great coffee. It looked like most of the customers were getting coffee and pastries to-go. We came back next day to buy several different kinds of pastries and they were all so good - just $1.39 each too! Next time I'm in Hollywood, I need to try their empanadas - they had quite a selection! FYI there are just a few parking spots in front of the restaurant, and only a few tables inside. Staff are super nice."
"This is a mother and son family business and I ABSOLUTELY love this place. It's small Cafe, located near the courthouse in downtown, Miami. I ordered the pan con bistec (which was well seasoned) with tomato, lettuce and potatoes sticks..ugh so good! It was big enough to shared with my coworker, I was actually full with my half. The service here has always been top notch, very attentive and just genuinely nice people. Overall, the food is amazing, and cooked from scratch (everything is good).I definitely recommend checking them if you're in the area, I promise you won't be disappointed and the prices are reasonable ."
"Let me tell you that it is difficult to find a good breakfast/brunch restaurant in North Miami. Fortunately, I found one on Wednesday in the Belle Meade district! We have driven past it on busy Biscayne Blvd for years, but we didn't notice it. I searched Yelp and voila, found it! LA Social. It was everything that we were looking for and more.La Social is a hidden gem sitting in the open. It sits back among beautiful trees and foliage and is pale pink. Their sign is on the building in white and is hard to see. But once you see it, then you are interested in what's behind it all. It's actually a very cool looking place with an outdoor area of greenery and a fantastic Banyan tree with an open old school carriage with hanging clematis and other flowers. An IG person's dream photo opportunity! We loved it!Our server was Gigi, who was a delight and very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Alaskan omelet with smoked salmon, mushrooms, spinach, and cheese. It came with house potatoes, the sweetest watermelon slice, and salad. It was delicious! My daughter ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with scrambled eggs and bacon and cheese and gave it a 5/5. We both ordered lattes. We shouldn't have, but we also split the French Toast casserole, which I have never tasted before. It was like a juicy cake with all the goodies that go with French Toast. Also, yummy! During our breakfast, Gigi checked on us several times to make sure everything was to our liking. Excellent service here! Freshly made food here! They also have a bakery here!Be sure to go outside to their backyard where there is lots of seating for large groups among the trees and foliage. For IG enthusiasts, you will get great shots under the Banyon tree and sitting or standing by the carriage.Dog friendly. Parking on the street and a few spots in front of LA Social. We will definitely be back here."
"The Egg Spot is a great spot for breakfast. The Matador is a great choice to go with, as are the tater tots. Service is friendly and the restaurant is inviting and warm. The prices are a bit high, but this is to be expected in this new wave of restaurants that offer an upscale version of breakfast items.Once upon a time, when people thought of eating breakfast out, they headed towards a greasy spoon type diner to stuff themselves with a satisfying meal of bacon, eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, or whatever else breakfast items that you craved. There is nothing wrong with breakfast at a greasy spoon diner. In fact, some of my most memorable meals and memories have been created in greasy spoon diners. Now we have upscale breakfast options such as the Egg Spot or national chains like First Watch, Keke's and others. This is a great option if you are looking for a great breakfast in a warm atmosphere and served with a smile."
"My family stumbled on Cortadito Coffee House while we were exploring a bit in Coral Gables on a recent trip. We had some time to kill before our reservation in Bulla nearby. We decided to have some Cuban Coffee. We walked in and loved the ambience of the place. It gives a laid back and relaxed atmosphere. My mom loved the swing seat at the end of the restaurant. The place is very clean. We were so excited when we saw that this place sold cafe bonbon, and we all ordered one. We were sadly disappointed. We all have had better versions in other places. It was tepid. It liked the creaminess I expected. We had our coffee, sat for a bit and relaxed and then left."
"I'd had delivery from crema before but not in person dining. It was a quick process this morning as we tried to cool down from a Labor Day downtown run group. It's a Perfect spot to stop in for a coffee, juice, or sandwich. The Popeye was spot on with its blended ingredients. My friend's turkey omelets looked fab as well."
"Fantastic pastries and coffee, the bakery has a very nice decor, the coffee was wonderful and the venue was comfortable.I ordered a pastry Bretzel (the cream, chocolate nuts), FABULOUS, delicate flavor, soft and delicious, also the Egg Benedict breakfast and coffee. (Medium Americano). The egg Benedict was served with Ham, two eggs a side of green salad, it tasted very delicious. The coffee was roasted and hot, it was a fantastic coffee. The staff was friendly but you have to pick up your food and figure it out were to get napkins and plastic cutlery and condiments. Plenty of parking at the plaza and outdoors seating is available. Strongly recommended."
"So happy to report that Grou has a second location in the heart of coral gables! Their first location opened a few years ago in Merrick park and what stood out for me was their warm welcome and love for dogs! It's been my favorite co-working spot to date. Now I can choose to go to the downtown location as well. My pup Gizmo loves it too because they welcome him with a free pup cup and milk bone treat. Today is their grand opening too. Our weekday mornings are just so much better when we go to Grou! Parking is on the street - PayByPhone. Note: this location is behind Anthony Coal Fired Pizza and not directly on Ponce de Leon. Thank you Grou staff and owners for a great grand opening experience! See you soon!"
"I couldn't find this truck the first time that I came here because I was driving. There's absolutely no parking nearby (hey, it's Brickell, I should have known better). The second time, I decided to walk from my hotel and found the place close to the River Walk trail.I came during the week, so there was no waiting line to order. Their croissants are pretty good. They also had items such as breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast."
"I ordered here via DoorDash & I was quite pleased with their food. I tried the 3 piece falafel with samoon bread & ICON sauce. The falafel was very tasty. The ICON sauce is suuuuper garlicky. I like garlic a lot, but if you're not a garlic fan or are planning to make out any time soon after eating here, steer clear of this sauce. I also had the side fatoush salad. It was a generous size for a side salad. The ICON dressing had a bright, citric taste and I loved the sammon chips. I washed it all down with a lemonade, which tasted homemade and was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. The prices weren't too bad here. I'm probably order regularly from here when I need a Mediterranean fix."
"Pretty good spot! Got an oat milk cappuccino and an egg n turkey wrap for breakfast and enjoyed it! The cappuccino was easy to drink with good flavor. The wrap felt healthy, not too salty with a side salad. Friendly service, you order at the bar and they bring you your order to the table. You do have to ask for extra napkins and I felt as if it was really hot in there. I wasn't sure if the AC was working. Tbh, the temperature was borderline uncomfortable, but it's not a place I really sat around for too long so it was alright!"
"Flavors - 4.8/5Textures - 4.5/5Presentation - 4.5/5Value for Money - 4/5Would return? Yes Must-try: PalmeritasI am in love with this bakery. Everything I have tried is from good to excellent! A bit on the expensive side, but worth it. The cachitos are the best in Miami. They are very soft and the flavor is delicious. The quality of the ham is great. I wish it had a little more moisture inside (which some bacon could easily solve). The ones filled with ham and cheese could use a more melty cheese. The ham and cheese croissants are scrumptious! So freaking good - very airy, crispy, and buttery. Enough ham and cheese that is not overwhelming. You absolutely need to get a palmerita (palmier), which is a food dream come true. The extra caramel on the outside made it sooooo crispy and the butter is in your face but in the best way possible. My mouth waters as I write this."
"Macondo Coffee Roasters in Coral Gables is a hidden gem! The coffee is not only rich and flavorful, but it's clear they take their craft seriously, making each cup a delightful experience. Their range of vegetarian sandwiches and soups is a pleasant surprise. The sandwiches are filled with fresh, high-quality ingredients that are both satisfying and wholesome. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply looking for a healthier option, Macondo has got you covered.Their soups are another highlight, especially if you're in the mood for something warm and comforting. The rotating selection of soups ensures you can always find something that suits your taste buds. Pairing one of their soups with a sandwich is a perfect combination for a delicious, well-rounded meal. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot to catch up with friends or spend some quality "me" time. The staff is not only friendly but also knowledgeable, always ready to assist you in finding the perfect coffee or meal to suit your preferences. Macondo Coffee Roasters is definitely worth a visit for their top-notch coffee, delectable vegetarian options, and inviting ambiance."
"My heart is leaping for joy & my tastebuds are dancing! Crema Brickell's Avocado Toast has not changed one bit (unlike the Crema Coral Gables recipe). This is the perfect, spicy, fresh, flavourful delicious Avocado Toast of my dreams & I hope they never change a thing about it!"
