Nectar Urban Cantina is our go-to spot, not just for their mouthwatering dishes, but also for their excellent service. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, complete with a ramp for those who require it. Plus, you can even bring your furry friends along. They allow dogs outside. Our waitress was extremely kind and attentive. The service was a little slow, but we were in no rush.To start, we shared an order of beignets and the char grilled grapefruit. The beignets were tasty - a little more cake-like than a traditional, New Orleans style beignet. The char grilled grapefruit was unremarkable. For my dish, I decided to order the shrimp and grits while my husband ordered a Reuben and my father ordered the chicken and waffles. The shrimp and grits were tasty and had a nice bite to them. My dad really enjoyed the chicken and waffles, and my husband thought the Reuben was decent.A decent breakfast spot in Memphis with a very cool history."

It's a small bar, lots of activity, lots of hands in the bar, doing different things, it was like having great seats at a ballet that knew how to move around each other. We even got to talk to the bartender, mid cocktail shaking. Before I get too far, the cocktails were great. We weren't the only people eating at the bar. Single people in town on business, other tourists in groups of two, and us. Just finding the place was half the battle. It had been referred to us by people who frequented Beale Street. You go up this forbidden stairwell, use the secret handshake and your in. My wife's correcting me, there was no secret handshake, but it sure seemed like there should've been. Our spot at the bar was right next to the two-piece band that was entertaining. There was a guitarist and a piano player, and it positively impacted the ambience of the establishment. This review is being written a month after our visit, and I can't remember the specifics of what we ate. We shared a very tasty blue cheese, wedge salad, and a special Cajun shrimp dish.I was not feeling blue while eating at this restaurant, I'll be back."

Music was very dope. Service was very good and prompt. On this particular visit, I sat at the bar. My only complaint is based on MY particular tastes. I don't like that cut on breakfast potatoes and I wished my cheese was blended into my eggs, but eh. Pleasant experience still and very inexpensive, surprisingly. I'll be back sooner than later. You wouldn't expect sushi from what looks like a neighborhood bar when you walk in, but it was excellent. We returned this evening for dinner and to try dining in the bar. The food was great, but the real surprise was the amazing service. In most restaurants, the servers may be attentive, but they seem focused on their own tables. At Drakes, the entire staff worked as a team. If there were an empty dish on the table, whoever walked by would ask if we were done and then take it away. It was great to see such fantastic service. Mahni and her peers did a great job taking care of us, and we look forward to our next visit. Really, you should go."

Irish bars aren't really known for their BBQ, but Silky's has it (my friends were not impressed). There is vegetarian option (veggie burger) which serves as the only veggie option besides sides and appetizers. It was truly just acceptable. The fries are decent. What actually makes this place memorable is the live music, and of course, the goats! These two lazy goats live in their little tower and amble down at will to graze and sun. They truly live a life of leisure. Our dinner reservation was at 6:30 and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The hostess sat us at a small table against the wall in between two big parties, which's not a great spot if you are trying to enjoy a relaxing, intimate date night. The whole space felt cramped and I could hear every conversation going on around us. It was a really irritating and uncomfortable start to our dinner. The rest of the dinner was not very memorable. We got two drinks, two appetizers, and two pasta entrees. The only thing I mildly enjoyed was the Focaccia appetizer. The Tuna Crudo was very overpriced at $16 for only four tiny pieces. The pasta portions were really small for the price they are charging. It would've been fine if they tasted phenomenal but they were just ok, average at best. We were really disappointed with the whole dining experience at that point and were ready to just get the check and leave. But we ended up getting dessert and that turned out to be the highlight of our evening. I got the Trio of Gelato and my boyfriend got the Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding. The gelato was some of the best I've ever had with super creamy texture. The chocolate toffee pudding was so delicious! We loved the pecan powder and the smooth rich chocolate. I joked that I'd probably come back here just for the desserts. Overall it was a subpar dinner experience. We might come back and give them another try in the future but for now we'll save the special dates and occasions elsewhere."

Doug G. "The Slider House is located in the middle of the Midtown area of the city amongst all the restaurants and bars. As you would suspect, they serve sliders of all different types from beef, chicken, pork and even fish. You can get an individual slider for $7, or make a meal out of it with 2 sliders with a side. The Slider House is a sports bar, so TV's are on all the walls, so not a bad seat in the house when a game is on. Note that this spot is the local Detroit Lions bar, so plan accordingly on game days!We went with the meal option and got two sliders and a side. I got a beef slider, The Old Hickory, a chicken slider, Southern Comfort and a side of onion pedals. Meal total was $17. The sliders were decent with the Southern Comfort being my fav. The Sriracha Honey glaze made the sandwich! I was disappointed in the onion pedals, as while I can appreciate a light dredge/batter, these pedals were barely coated and some pieces were not coated at all. Before our sliders, we started with the buffalo chicken dip. The dip was tasty, just enough heat and thick. The chips are the house made potato chips, and while good on their own, not my favorite vessel for the dip. Drink wise, they have a full bar with several specials, beers on tap, cocktails, etc...we got a beer and I ordered a Gin and Tonic. My first G&T was solid, but my second was rough. I cannot pinpoint what it was, but it did not taste like a G&T. I confirmed it was what was made, and was assured, which just made me a question it a tad more. Service was a bit hit and miss as well. Our server was friendly, but not super attentive with drinks/refills. Overall, the experience, food and service was just "ok". Nothing terribly wrong or really outstanding. Decent spot for a decent slider and a beer."

I found this spot on Yelp while searching for a sports bar with plenty of TVs, and we had a great experience here!Rock'n Dough is attached to the neighboring Hampton Inn, just in case you're having trouble finding it as you're driving up. The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday evening: it was easy to find parking, and we were seated right away. I even asked the hostess if she could change the channels for us to tune into a specific college football game, and she was happy to accomodate! Our server, Allie, was phenomenal throughout our meal. She had great recommendations - which is how we ended up starting off with the Pretzel Bites as an appetizer. Believe me when I say that these are a must-order - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious when paired with their warm queso dip.We decided to split two 16" pizzas between the four of us, which ended up being the perfect amount. We even had a few slices left over to take home with us. The USA! USA! pizza was incredible - a nice balance between all of the "supreme" toppings we know and love. The real star, however, was the Taco Pizza. I'm all about this new wave of food fusion, and Rock'n Dough is doing it better than any other restaurant I've been to in recent memory. The flavors just make sense - with the taco meat is cooked to resemble the more traditional sausage pizza topping, and the queso sauce mirroring a "white pie" style pizza. I highly recommend Rock'n Dough to Nashville locals and visitors alike. I certainly know where I'll be the next time there's a big game on!"

I didn't know where to go or what to do so I went to the cashier who was standing mid pizza oven in the back of the "restaurant". There were 4 employees standing around. There were 2 customers at a table and 1 at the cashier. There were 2 guests at the beverage area talking. I finally asked one of the cooks behind the sneeze guard what I was supposed to do to order a few pizzas, a Pyzone and a glass of wine while I waited. He told me I'd have to order the Pyzone online as it is only an online and catering item. He said I needed to order the pizzas on the line and the wine at the bar. His smaller friend turned his back to me and whispered something to him & was clearly talking about me. I told them both, "I'm a newby- this is my first time at a PYRO'S. I then asked if I could order the pizzas online as I already had them in my cart, but had hoped to drink a few glasses of wine while I waited. The taller guy who was kind, said to go ahead & order on line and he would have someone go to the bar and take my wine order. I went to the bar and was trying to order online but it wasn't easy. No one came to the bar. I waited longer. No one mar. ( I believe there was a very short manager in premise because I saw him playing with to go boxes at the beverage station. Finally the guy who had Ben speaking to me, said I should download the app as it is easier. I said I had used their website and the " order online" button but it wasn't working easily. I asked what the house wine was because it was "Wine Wednesday" & there was a discount. He named off a few wines and I asked if there was a merlot or a red blend. He said, " no, but there is a Cabernet". I said that would be fine. He proceeded to ring up the wine and the whole time I was still struggling to put the order in. I asked if he could put the order in for me while he was ringing in the wine. He said, "No, the order has to come in at the cashier and this bar POS doesn't go there". At that time he told me the Cabernet was $9.00 not the $2.50 special price. I was so frustrated I just said okay, let's move on; I need to get these pizzas ordered. I finally got the online website order placed & had to pay at the same place 2x. ( inconvenience). The young man who was answering my question, & came to the bar to serve me explained about the app. He was very nice and accommodating. ( Young male, about 5'8" , 22-25 years old, 175# short black curly hair and wearing uniform.)The woman behind the POS and the young man standing around ( female, about 5'9", 150#, dread/braids-up, about 18-23. 2nd male cook was about 5'4", long braided hair, about 18-20 in uniform) were both behind cook counter & he was eyeing me and clearly talking about me. My husband was hanging with a friend, so dining solo wasn't an issue for me.For dinner, I opted for the beef bulgogi, which was fantastic - flavorful and seasoned well - I just wanted more of it when I was done to take home. Sake was good. I decided on that after seeing their sake bomb being advertised. It is more reasonable to get a regular sake than the sake bomb. Do as you wish, but that's my suggestion. I appreciated being able to sit at the bar and chat with the bartender while I ate. She was nice and offered some suggestions on what to try on my next visit in. I also had the chance to talk to a co-owner of the restaurant, to my surprise. He was nice and told me how the concept of the place came about. The best part was that the restaurant wasn't too crowded. It still had enough people but did not feel too congested, especially since bar seating removed me from the main dining area. But what really stood out to me was the level of customer service I received. The bartender was attentive, and the co-owner was really cool. I had a nice low-key time at Babo Korean Bar. Gregory B. "I want to like this place more than I did, but it has a bit of a pretentious vibe to it, especially with other waterfront spots nearby that are more fun (Moby Dicky's comes to mind). As usual, I will try to give a decent feel for the place so you can make your own determination (and will re-review if I get back and find my feelings have changed). On the positive side, this marina restaurant has a very clean and somewhat classy feel, at least on the outside deck. They have a big open dining area complete with a small bar. I imagine it is a nice venue to watch music (they have events), but it honestly felt a bit pretentious and the staff gave a vibe they were doing you favor serving you. Most of the time, it felt like they were paying more attention to each other than the guests.Had a bushwhacker, as that seems to be the theme in the Nashville waterfront bars, and it came out really watery. Perhaps it is so popular the machines don't have time to set? Not sure, but the topper quickly merges in and becomes part of the drink. This is likely great with some.As I was sitting at the bar, I opted not to eat and went someone else where I felt I would not be as much of a burden to the staff. Perhaps next visit I will opt for indoors and see if the feeling is the same. Not sure when, or if, that will be. Again, I want to like this place. My feelings? It looks like a great venue to watch music. The food portions looked a bit small, but not to the extent some of the reviews have made it out to be. Great location, nice looking places, likely fun for events, but average rating. I think that is fair."
