Everything is D' lish in spite of wrapped around line. It is very well worth it. The line-moves swiftly and the music played is bobbing. I grove along in the line to the beat in my own space. I smile and say hello as I move along to place my order. Every item I have ordered is spot on. I make it a priority to patronize Tripple J when I'm in proximity. Just make sure they are open first. I was disappointed when they were closed at times when I was in the area. I understand the days they are closed. Baby, on the days they are open get in there. It is very much worth it...I frequent their business, solely because everything is the bomb on taste.

I wanted to try this place out because it was highly recommended by a friend . There was a long line so I expected the food to be great....wrong. I asked for burnt ends and was given dry brisket slices with no burnt ends so I asked again and I was rudely told that they don't sale burnt ends lol...they had several briskets sitting right there with the burnt ends still on them .I ordered the Triple J special and it was a waste of money. The brisket was dry and no flavor. The sausage wasn't good at all. The ribs were the only thing that was decent . The beans were ok. The potato salad looked almost like grits and had too much mustard. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place

I recommend the Super J huge potato packed with brisket, sausage, and a rib. Along with all the trimmings. The line moves really fast. They are cranking out some amazing BBQ here. Definitely coming back next time we are in H-town

After all the hype I've heard over the years, I finally decided to trek to Triple J's from Cypress while I was home for the Christmas holiday. Most of y'all were probably still eating leftovers so that's why I was able to pull up and find a spot right in front. No line out the door but one on the inside. Roughly 10-12 ppl ahead of me. Not bad from what I've heard. The restaurant is very small but they do offer a little room to eat inside if you so desire. I think most ppl probably are take and go here cause it was empty the whole time. In terms of service, the guy taking the order and plating the meat was just ok. The guy assembling the rest of the plate was friendlier but the man at the register was the friendliest! I was disappointed I didn't see any cobbler for purchasing. I asked him about it and he said hold on, let me see if I have some in the back. He didn't but I really appreciated the gesture nonetheless. Now the food: I ordered the J's three meat special which came with brisket, sausage and ribs. I saw negative reviews on the Mac & cheese and literally no one was ordering it as I was in line but I still wanted to taste it. Ordered green beans as my 2nd side. It was a no for me dawg on almost all of that food. And I ate it minutes later since I wasn't going home right away. The mac & cheese, yeah reviews confirmed. The seasonings aren't typical, I kind of like a little pepper on my mac so that wasn't the issue. It didn't taste that cheesy either. My green beans were mush, completely overcooked and devoid of texture. Now the meats: they didn't taste all that smoky. The brisket had no real smoke ring on most of the slices. The sausage was ok but missing that good pit taste. The 2 ribs that came in the special redeemed them, best meat on the plate, tender to eat. The BBQ sauce needs work so it didn't help the meats at all. I almost got the boudin and crackers but I didn't want to do too much since again, I wasn't going home. It actually looked pretty smoked. They advertise happy hour specials on the marquee, if you're in the area, I'd recommend trying this place out for yourself. Maybe the back to work after Xmas mood affected the food.

Please don't judge a book by its cover, and don't walk away if the line appears to be long. The food here is worth it!! The brisket is so tender that it can be sliced with a fork and the ribs are just as tender and smokey. Triple J's Smokehouse is primarily takeout, but there is a small area to sit and dig in if you just can't wait to take a taste.Put Triple J's on your list to visit the next time you are in Houston and want some down-home good BBQ. You will feel the love with every bite!!

When you go here you have to expect to wait at least an hour on the weekends but it's well worth it. They have limited seating and parking as well. This place is an institution in the houston area. All of the meat is smoked but very very tender and flavorful. This was probably the BEST barbecue I've had. I ordered the J's special: ribs, sausage and brisket. You can literally eat them without sauce. , that's just how good they are. This is the tenderest brisket I've ever had. The sauce is made in house and compliments without competing. The sides I got were: potato salad and baked beans. The sides also were amazing. If you're in the Houston area you must stop and check them out!

Not exactly chaos per se, but they are all working very hard and still doing friendly service. Hats off to them! Now you know I had to try just a lil bit of everything and so glad I did! Wasn't able to nearly finish it all but NO REGRETS!All the meats were smoked to perfection!Ordered RibsBrisket sausages Boudin and sides of Mac, baked beans green beans potato salad! Everything was delicious except the MAC! Sorry but YUCK! And that's all I'm gonna say about that! I don't see HOW...never mind! Lemme mind my business haha. Oh and I had the sweet ass drinks(no complaints, they was just SWEEEEEEET) , and huge servings of peach cobbler, Red Velvet(not really care for this either, it was aiight...)I love the ambiance of this place there are many photos of family and cute signs of positivity everywhere, SO TEXAS! Saw a review on IG and had to try it...Drove with a buddy down from Katy and waited in line a hour before they opened. The line ran around the building and into the shaded seating area. When they finally opened, the line moved quickly. When I finally got to the front, I panicked and ordered everything. I really couldn't decide what I wanted. Got ribs, chicken, brisket, a loaded baked potato, strawberry cake, peach cobbler, some koolaid, and a nap.The brisket was moist but had no flavor. I needed to use the bbq sauce. With the sauce it was good...The sausage was good, a nice snap and good flavor. Would order again! The ribs, ! The flavor was good with a slightly sweet, salty taste. Not fall off the bone but dang good! A must try! The chicken, I almost didn't order and the worker said it was his favorite. He wasn't wrong! The chicken was my favorite thing here! The peach cobbler was good but I couldn't finish it. Too sweet to eat a lot of it. The strawberry cake was good, but not a must have.Overall one of the better bbq places I've tried in Houston and I'd def be back again!

Wow! The atmosphere here is one you'll just have to see! When you think of Texas bbq, this is it! I was in the houston area and my wife wanted to try some Texas bbq. This was the first restaurant we tried and it didn't disappoint! When we walked in there was a line wrapping throughout the restaurant. They're are plaques and sayings all over the wooden walls. The smell of smoked meats floated in the air.I had J's Special. It included brisket, sausage and ribs. I had green beans and potato salad for the sides. They also included two slices of bread. The green beans were buttery with a lot of flavor. The potato salad was one of the best I've had. I do a fair amount of smoking bbq at home but Triples J's has me beat by a long shot. The brisket and sausage were tender and flavorful. The ribs had a perfect bite to them.My wife had the chopped brisket sandwich and said it was her favorite so far. They bbq sauce is sweet with just a touch of bite on the back end but not spicy. As a bonus, they have a cooler to dispense the sauce. If you're in the houston area, this is a must visit!
