Nobu Houston

We came for the experience! Some girl friends & I came in town to celebrate Mother's day weekend so we decided to splurge a bit & pop in NOBU. The atmosphere was amazing. Loved the vibe; music playing was great. We tried multiple different foods and shared. (parmesan truffle rice, salt n pepper Kushiyaki chicken, ROCK SHRIMP TEMPURA, crispy baby potatoes). It was OK. I would come again but i won't order the same foods. The service was OK. Our waiter wasn't overly friendly nor was he mean; he did his job. As they were cleaning the table off at the end, the remaining plate of potatoes and sauce was almost spilled in my lap :-/. It all hit my purse and bench seat so, no need to scream bloody murder. They brought over wet naps and assisted to help me clean it all off & apologized. Would have been nice to get a courtesy extra shot of crown for my purses pain & suffering! Lol!

I just had the most spectacular experience at the sushi bar. I was the only guest at the bar. The food (oysters Especially were unique . They tasted like the sea water they grew up in. I had lots of sake too I had a perfectly cooked Bay of Fundy North Atlantic Cod Fish The fillet had the most beautiful flakiness just like me . The staff amazing I assume the management already knows this Merry Christmas

I love Nobu. I was in town visiting at the mall and seen there was one there. I stopped by right when they were opened. I sat in the bar area and was helped immediately. I ordered a lychee mocktail which was great. I ordered the lobster tacos which were amazing. The salad was great but the shrimp was not cooked properly. The california roll was also amazing. Last I tried the sea bass and was okay lightly cooked but I probably wouldnt order it again. The service was amazing. I will have to say while sitting near the bar there were alot of gnats that were flying in the area. I also had to ask for the shrimp to be taken off of the bill which I feel should have been done prior too. Other than that the atmosphere of the location was nice which Nobu always holds that.

This was my first time visiting Nobu, and it certainly won't be my last. The atmosphere is incredible from the moment you walk in. The staff, from the hostess to the bartender, were exceptional. I loved being greeted with "Namaste" upon checking in and heading to the bar. I tried the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna and the Fried Okra, and the Crispy Rice was a perfect 10/10! I can't wait to visit again!

Full disclosure that I've only previously heard about Nobu due to its popularity with celebrities. I was apprehensive about the hype since the Yelp rating was only 3 stars, but I came here this past weekend for a birthday dinner, so I was willing to give it a shot and hope for the best. We were fortunate enough to try the Omakase custom experience ($195 per person if you're wondering), and it did not disappoint in the least. There were 9 courses, starting with several fresh raw fish dishes, then tuna and wagyu tacos, progressing to popular dishes like their miso black cod, wagyu and crab surf and turf, and finishing with an assortment of sushi rolls. I cannot say I had a bad dish. There were some chewy pieces of wagyu in the wagyu tacos, but everything else was fantastic and left me wanting more. The stand-outs for me were the miso black cod, the wagyu and crab, and the king crab roll. These all had really great flavor combinations, and I can understand the buzz around these dishes. Least favorite was the uni--I've never had it before to compare the experience, but the flavor just didn't do it for me. Our service was decent--they could have probably stopped by a little more often, but maybe I am used to Uchiko where they're very attentive and engaging. Would I come back? Definitely, but it won't be soon enough.

Hey, I wanted to give a shoutout to these guys for being open on Christmas night. Gotta say, it was seriously impressive! I don't personally celebrate Christmas, but I had some time off and was itching to have a good time and dress up a bit. So, big thanks for providing such a great service. We went with the chef's recommendation and boy, did we get treated to an appetizer extravaganza! I believe we had like eight or maybe even twelve different dishes of appetizers. It was absolutely mind-blowing and we had an incredible time. I definitely recommend checking this place out. Thanks again!

My friend definitely overhyped this place. I guess she saw a TikTok on it and said we just had to experience it. Well I don't know what she saw but I wasn't impressed, and neither was she. Apparently it's known for being upscale and a place where celebrities go. I was definitely getting upscale vibes. It was giving cute date night or sophisticated business dinner. But the food was mediocre. I eat out a lot, and I've tried a lot of places. Maybe my standards are too high. Let's go dish by dish. The fried shrimp appetizer was a 7 out of 10. The oil was probably not hot enough because the shrimp was a bit greasy. It was also unseasoned, so they were really relying on the aioli to get the job done. Sucks for me because I don't eat egg and so didn't eat the aioli. But truly, the shrimp should be hittin even without the sauce. The vegetable roll was actually really good. Surprisingly, the vegetables tasted seasoned and very fresh. I would get that again if I had to go back. It was also quite a large portion. 10 out of 10The salmon was pretty good. But it wasn't justifying its price. The plate had way too much white space. I mean, at least make me feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. 8 out of 10The garlic vegetables were okay. They tasted familiar and overcooked. Don't waste your $20 on this. 4 out of 10My friend...the one who swore we needed to go here, was equally unimpressed. She said it "wasn't bad" but that she never needs to go here again lmao The bright side is our server and the hostess team were super nice and accommodating.

Showed up for a quick nightcap and dessert with 2 friends. Service was attentive, desserts were unique and good. Not too sweet but flavourful.

I've had Nobu in a few states, the food is always subpar to me especially for the price. I feel like you can find other sushi spots but I guess you go first the vibe and the experience.

The girls and I did a girls weekend in Houston and Nobu was our special dinner for the trip. We made reservations and were seated early. The ambiance in the restaurant is intimate and classy. The waiters and waitresses were so nice and willing to answer any questions. Our waters and drinks were never empty.How it work is that entrees are served like a family portion and you can eat it together. We all picked stuff out of the menu and shared. Some of our favorites were the Miso Cod, Lobster Tempura, Scallops, and Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna.They clear your plates after each round of food they serve. If you order a lot of food, you might be there for awhile. We were at Nobu for three hours! Not sure if that's normal, but we had such a good time talking, drinking, and joking with our waiters and waitresses. Nobu Houston was such a treat. The girls and I have been raving about our experience ever since we came back. It surpassed all of our expectations. We would love to come back!
