Lone Star Donut & Frozen Yogurt

This shop is terrible. They decide to close early without posting anything online or updating their hours. With how easy technology makes it to keep your hours up-to-date, they just don't respect or want customers. Save yourself the hassle and assume they're closed even though their hours say they're open

I absolutely love the chicken tacos for lunch!!!!! They are always packed with meat and all the additional fixings that goes inside it! They even add refried beans inside the tacos!!!! I also love their desserts! Overall, great place for food along with great customer service! The staff is always so humble and caring!

I do recommend this place because it has great donuts and kolaches. I'm the reason for my three star is because I don't have very much strength options only friends, vanilla, cappuccinos and coffee but if you need something quick out on the go then you can come here

I've been rotating through this area since last fall and I have to say I love this donut shop. I've been to my fair share of donut shops and none of them usually stand out to me but this one did and it's definitely my favorite one. They have a variety of donuts, kolaches (croissant, regular, mini, large), breakfast tacos (chorizo, bacon, sausage, potato), and even lunch! I have yet to try their lunch but I'm sure I will one of these days. I absolutely love their breakfast tacos and the flavorful red salsa that it comes with. Their donuts are also always perfect and not too dense. My favorite is the regular glazed and glazed blueberry cake donut, but I would recommend coming early in the week bc they sometimes run out of items by Friday's! Overall, I love this place and come at least 1-2 times a week. I think they also have a location near the airport as well. I just wish they had another one closer to town for when I leave this rotation!

Unless you're in the Greenspoint neighborhood of Houston, you likely will not have the occasion to stop by the Lone Star Donut and Frozen Yogurt shop...which is unfortunate since this place produces some high quality deep fried goodness!Lone Star Donut is situated in a strip mall near the airport, along with several other restaurants which cater to the nearby office buildings and hotels. It's mostly a take out establishment, although there are some nice benches and tables to enjoy your donuts outdoors.I brought a selection of donuts for the office where I was working for the week, and everything was good. Of course, my all time favorite is the a Boston Creme, and this version did not disappoint! The exterior of the donut had a nice crispiness which comes from a high temperature fry, was filled with gooey vanilla custard, and then topped with a smooth chocolate gaze. The perfect bite to accompany my coffee. I usually only allow myself a Boston Creme when I'm on business travel or vacation, since too many of them will mean extra time in the gym to burn off those calories.Apparently this shop also prepares savory items such as tacos and sandwiches, which some of my other team members sampled and said were good. Average price for donut ranges from $1 - $1.50 (specialty variety).

The donuts & kolaches are amazing. The people working always try and strike up a conversation making sure you have a better start to your day and i admire that. Also the burgers and other lunch items on the menu are soooooo good i would recommend everyone to try them.

Stopped in because of the reviews. 8:15 in the morning. Where are the donuts?? Very disappointed.

Customer service was awesome friendly staff great Donuts even though they were about to close I did not feel rushed to get in and get out made my day

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and RACIST. I was at the register placing my order. I asked for two glazed donuts and the white woman behind me asked for the same thing & there were only two left they weren't making anymore donuts so the employee decided to ignore my request that I was at the register and there first and just told me what she would sale me instead of what I ordered. Her associate was giving me the two glazed and she placed them back on the counter and continued to talk over me. I am completely and utterly disappointed in the service I received from this place. I will not be patronizing this place ever again I suggest other people of color should not as well because they did not get the memo we are in 2023 not 1960.
