K. Spoetzl BBQ

The football potato is awesome. It sounds large but it really isn't too big for one. Just like many popular spots, it gets busy on the weekends so be prepared. However, it wasn't so busy that the line was ridiculous. I hate long lines and I'll walk away if they get too long. They have outdoor seating but most of it is covered. Lastly, I have to clarify the beer situation as this is at a brewery. You can't just buy a beer due to TABC laws. You must purchase an item from the gift shop of $10 or more and then you receive complimentary tokens which you exchange for beer. There are zero signs explaining this so it can be confusing the first time you visit. This is the only reason for four stars rather than five.

We were pleasantly surprised to see a bbq shop on the brewery premises and decided to give it a go. Extremely clean and organized. They don't have your typical ribs or smoked Turkey (maybe they do other days?) but the had a great sliced brisket sando that had a nice bark on the meat. I wish it was a little more juicy but it is what it is. The extra sauce I had added to it was worthwhile. Also, the combo price was a steal as they give you a large tea/soda and a bag of chips for $13. The sandwich could easily feed two people if you're looking to budget.

The brisket at this place is damn good... I often feel tempted to make the hundred-mile drive out here just for another taste. Potato salad and sausage both had a lot of flavor, and their sauce is sweet, not overly sour.Plenty of chill spots right outside to sit down and enjoy the meal outdoors, this place is awesome.

Me and my wife had a great time the beer was good and the barbecue sausages and brisket was great
