Jolly Cup Teahouse & Sandwich

I was in Houston on business and decided to come by my old haunt here and see what it was like today.I was NOT disappointed at all. It was just like it used to be. The quality and taste were just like it used to be as well.There was no "new and improved" here. This place was great, and it still is great. Wonderful boba and wonderful sandwiches!Get here now!

Small cute place to get boba or snacks that they have on the menu. Reason I put three stars was that they changed how they made their mango smoothies. It use to be creamy and well made with the ingredients. Now it's just icy and watery with no flavor. plus some white stuff which looks like ice but I'm honestly not sure.

I come here when I wanna get my jolly on for sure . I get the watermelon and pineapple smoothie absolutely good . Fresh fruit all the way . They have tapioca that they offer. I personally don't get that . I get they different kind of little jello flavors at the bottom of mine . There Vietnamese pork sandwiches are extremely delicious and also well priced . I believe there 3.99 a pop . But totally good . They have WiFi available. other menu options you can choose from like. There staff members are friendly to .

I know it doesn't make sense to order chicken wings from a Teahouse, but I was craving it since they had an enticing poster of wings on the wall. I ordered a 12 count of lemon pepper wings and upon opening the box, I noticed a smell similar to pesticide (bug spray). I courageously bit into a wing and tasted more salt than anything else. The chicken meat was dry from being overly cooked and now I can't get the weird smell of chemical out of my head...

I have been coming to this place for years and have never been disappointed. They expanded their menu and they also use fresh fruit on some of their smoothies. I wish they still had Soursop as it was sooooo delicious, but I think they have different owners and don't carry it anymore. If I had to recommend a combo, I'd get the pork sandwich with a coconut or kiwi smoothie.

Been to this place about five times until I realized it not worth my money anymore. I've had four things from here:Pork sandwich- the meat was dry and it felt pre cooked, as if they threw it in the microwave (I'm used to the meat being cooked in spot and char grilled). That alone made the sandwich horrible and a waste of money. Spring rolls- it was hot whenever I got it? When I usually get them they are nice and cold. The lettuce was weird and the shrimp were hard and tasted fishy!! And the peanut butter sauce wasn't any betterCoconut smoothie w/ boba and Mango smoothie w/ boba- Okay I guess. I've had better.

I absolutely love this place and to think that the majority of the time it is only run by one person!! I think one of my favorite things to get is the shredded chicken banh mi, YUM!! They are so flexible and accommodating that they give it to me how I like it, more veggies and no jalapeños. I love how crispy the bread is and the meat is always tasty.The drinks are almost always awesome! Sometime the milk tea is a little too milky for my taste but otherwise, my favorite drink there is the Thai Tea. It's the perfect amount of half and half with the tea. I love that they also Vietnamese coffee too!! The additional snack that are around are a bonus. Today I got a pack of roasted seaweed; I'm telling you, what a healthier alternative to Lays potato chips!

I have been to so many shops like this for tea, and drinks, but We have had four visits here for their spring rolls, by far the best we've ever had, soft prepared on the spot, and not hard or rolled the day before , we also tried their Egg-rolls, and Banh Mi Sandwiches, they have little meat, but perfect for me, the carrots are so good, fresh veggies, good fried rice, and Vermicelli, and to top it off this are young kids working here, they are polite and courteous, The traffic flow here is steady, but not crowded, so we loved it, it is far from where I live, but worth the drive, this place makes Kim son look bad, if you ever been there, fancy but their food is lacking now. Great job to this small shop!!

Great food and tea!Ordered two teas:- Kiwi tea with strawberry jelly 9/10- Guava tea with mango jelly 10/10Both refreshing, sweet, and COLD!Ps: love the texture on the jelly taste just like the fruit Ordered two Vietnamese sandwiches:- Pork 9/10- Chicken 9/10 The vegetables were fresh and sauce was sweet and tangy.10 Piece lemon pepper wingsGreat seasoning, chicken was fresh, hot, and seasoned perfectly!! 10/10

Weak a$$ milk tea Bobba tasted like it was a couple days old Pricey for the value Should have known when it was empty at 11:45am during lunch time. Too many other places for Bobba and snacks.
