I came to FAO last spring for a birthday party. I would describe FAO as a smaller, more edgy version of Dave and Busters. You need a code to get into the building, however the night I went, there was a door guy who let me in without putting in the code. There's quite a few games spread throughout the bar. I loved that they had skeeball. You can pay for arcade games using a credit card or Apple Pay. There's also a ton of photo ops. Some are funny (Ronald McDonald with a full grill), some are cool (murals), and others are raunchy (the claw machine filled with sex toys as prizes). Our party was given wristbands which allowed for us to purchase well drinks for $5 until 11 pm. I had one of the specialty drinks called the Ginayyy and it was good. They also have a small food menu consisting of things like popcorn, nachos, and hot dogs. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside on two different balconies. They have quite a few TVs too. Apparently they have a dress code (business casual or "fashionable attire") which is strictly enforced after 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays according to the website (it is Midtown after all). Parking is street or valet. If you are parking on the street, it's free after midnight (unlike downtown). I recommend downloading both the Park Mobile app and the Park Houston app in case you max out your time and need to feed the meter (try it and thank me later). If you sign up for the VIP text list, you can get 10% off your next tab. They also have a Players Club which offers discounts on food and drinks. This is a fun place. I don't frequent Midtown that often, but I would go back if in the area.

Pretty cool place with lots of interactions.Fun drinksI enjoyed the whole concept. ONLY VERY NEGATIVE THINGthe bathrooms. men and woman restroom combined/shared.kind of uncomfortable but the worst part was men are men. Pee all over the floor and a mess and when I walked out of stall a man brushed past me to use it after me. could here guy gossip and no privacy. just weird. I left after that.

The code to get in did not work, so some guys came down to let us in. Those 2 guys claimed to have been the boss and an employee of the security company hired by the business. They did not leave us alone the entire time we were inside. The "boss" of the security company called someone on facetime who was allegedly famous to try and keep my group interested in talking to him. When we tried to walk away the same "boss" guy grabbed my friend by the arm. Literally no one who worked there did anything. I was not drunk, crazy, or anything simply explaining to that man how you should not touch a woman. The other staff asked me and my friends to "just walk away" We tried. Your security might be the biggest concern for women just trying to chill. Terrible place because of this.

Came here on a random Monday night. We had a blast! Defn an adventure for us. It was our first time coming here, so naturally we were lost haha. The building has a sign up front like no trespassing or something like that. So we thought that the business was closed. We took a risk and took the elevator to the 2nd floor and thought it was really closed but it turns out FAO is actually on the 3rd floor. So when you walk in, elevator on the left go to the 3rd floor lol. We got a few drinks, played a few games and enjoyed a nice view. The bartender was super friendly. They have a good selection of games from basketball to life size connect 4. The food selection was also good from pizza to tacos. We had just eaten at Gyu Kaku so we're pretty full. Didn't get a chance to try but will be coming back to try the food.

Perfect lil date night vibe. I'm glad it's 21+ so I don't gotta see no kids the drinks were good. Prices for games weren't bad. I didn't try the food but I know it's probably mid. Edible, at best, when drunk lol. Would come here and play games again.

I wasn't impressed with this place at all. The initial letdown was the $15 valet parking. There is a very small lot right outside the building. You pay and the valet attendant gets in and literally drives your vehicle to a space that is mere steps away. This should absolutely be self-parking.Then it's like a mystery game to get into the building. You need to have a code to gain access inside. The signage is very confusing and very off putting. Once inside, it was dimly lit and not very inviting. I was hoping for some kind of appetizer and they only thing they had to offer were things of the concession stand variety. The young lady at the bar was great. She was personable, attentive and made good drinks.

It was horrible. My friends and family had planned a surprise party for me and when I say the customer service was horrible. That's an understatement . Wanting to over charge for a shot of Hennessey. Then trying to double charge people for drinks they didn't receive. We packed up the party and went to spend our money somewhere else.. and I'm only giving it a star because I have to in order to post my review

Fun games, but you have to pay for each individual one. There was one really good bartender when we went, so points for that.We left with a bad taste in our mouths though when we were harassed in the parking lot. We got there early and there was a "Self Park" sign pointing to the parking lot, so we parked there. Then as we were leaving a valet attendant yelled at us and followed us to our cars demanding we pay him $15 each. But there were not any signs or cones saying the lot was valet. The signs said self park! We didn't even see a valet stand or any signs pointing to a stand. Anyway, it was super shady and sketch. Not sure if the person was even a real valet attendant.
