I made a reservation the day prior to arrive around mid afternoon on a Sunday. The restaurant wasn't super crowded and the decor and ambiance were so beautiful and charming. We ordered the chargrilled oysters, cocktails, and the shrimp and grits. Overall, everything was delicious and tasty. Our waitress was so nice too.I feel inclined to give 4 stars and not 5 because it felt like everything we ordered took a really long time to come out, especially given that it wasn't crowded inside at all. Our main entree came out and my grits were lukewarm but the gravy from the shrimp was hot enough to reheat the dish all the way through. I'd still return again in the future because everything was still amazing outside of the food wait time.

I went to Eunice once a couple of years ago, but had completely forgotten about it. When I ate there again yesterday, it made sense to me why I'd forgotten about it. The after-work crowd was decidedly business. It has an excellent, low key vibe. Tables are comfortable and it was easy to get a seat. Service was quick--we said we had a time constraint and it was accounted for. That being said, the food is the star performer of any restaurant and here at Eunice, it's decidedly average. While the cornbread is light, fluffy, tasty and out of this world (probably one of the best in Houston), all the other dishes we tried missed the mark. The happy hour fish dip was equivalent to chicken salad. It was bland, no spice or liquid smoke. Shrimp and grits were pretty standard and tasty. The only fish options were tuna or drum (as gulf fish). Drum is widely known as a trash fish riddled with worm problems. I just don't think high-end restaurants should serve it as their main catch if they are serious. And it was $46! Better catches might be Cobia, Amberjack or Grouper. I didn't snap any photos, but the food was all impeccably presented and the service was great.

We came here today for Father's Day. It was very beautiful and clean inside. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Jose, our server, was attentive, patient, and came back to our table at the perfect pace and timing. We got the seafood tower, cornbread, Father's Day ribeye, fried chicken and waffle sandwich, crawfish omelette, and numerous drinks. My husband got the Old Forester Flight, which he really enjoyed. We had such a great time. Areas of improvement: service overall was a bit slow. I've worked in the service industry and I feel like there weren't enough servers for the crowd. Also, we were surprised to find no changing tables for babies in the restroom. We loved our experience and definitely would go back again.

We came here for Sunday brunch on Father's Day. We had a great experience! We made a reservation, but when we came it wasn't as busy as what we thought it would be. Parking was either valet or you park in the garage right next door. We decided to do valet. The place has so many windows that even if you sit inside it's gorgeous with lots of light. The place is kid friendly as well, because we weren't the only family there with kids. The kids menu had a great variety to choose from. Service was awesome. As soon as we sat down we were greeted within seconds with water then had a brief moment to decide on what other drinks and appetizers we would like. It didn't take long for the appetizers, drinks or food. The food was delicious and a good portion. I was hungry when we came in so I didn't have any leftovers to take home lol. My mimosa was delicious and my husband's old fashioned looked good as well, but their drink prices were a little high compared to other restaurants. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will be back another time!

Think Chicago's Girl and a Goat except with more souther flavors. I'm all for it.This restaurant is so cute. It's the perfect place for a girls' lunch or a bridal shower or something like that.Their plates are shareable and I believe meant to be family style. We ordered a bunch for our group. You can't go wrong with their shrimp dishes. The Dan Dan sgurmo, and the shrimp etouffee were very good. Bursting with flavor. I also really like the fried quail. The service is amazing. My children had some issues with the pasta, not because it was not good, but because it was not what they were used to. The server was very accommodating and brought out a new dish for them asap. I can see what they talk about when it comes to southern Texas hospitality.

Big shoutout to Eunice for being open on a day when many businesses decided to stay closed for cold weather. Came here with a group from work at lunch, since everything downtown was closed. They were excited to have us despite the elements outside. Valet primarily with an attached parking garage for those curious. The selection raw bar options is fairly large, and there's some fun hot appetizers that you shouldn't miss. The Cornbread is insane, a must order. The duck poppers and fried oysters do a amazing job of mixing textures of crispy fried bits while staying super moist. The lunch menu offers you the ability to get a soup along with a daily rotating entree and a martini if you like. The gumbo was excellent and the added potato salad is a unique add to compliment it. Can't speak for the other mains, but my steak frites tasted fantastic, particularly the mushrooms on top. The cook itself could've been closer to the medium rare I asked for, but was otherwise perfect. Lots of different wines to choose from as well as the set cocktail list. We finished off with a couple bread puddings to share, but the thing was so dang addictive that I wish we could've ordered individual ones. Another item I wouldn't leave without trying.

Came here after a quick brunch with my mom and we loved it!! This was actually my 2nd time here (the first was for a bday party with a limited menu) so it was nice seeing the full options. The restaurant is super spacious and gorgeous! Perfect if you want classy aesthetics. We started with the oysters which were delicious especially with the sauce. We also had some cornbread which I LOVED and I don't even like cornbread. Like at all.For my actual meal I went with the Wednesday Lunch special which was a salad and a grilled shrimp po boy with fries. The salad was super refreshing and flavorful. Definitely had a kick to it. The sandwich wasn't as flavorful as some other po boys I've tried but it was good! I also ordered a Cider Mule to drink and that was really tasty. It definitely tasted like a holiday drink, but not too strong. My mom ordered the red snapper special at the time and loved it as well so it's safe to say that we will be returning back!

So I making a habit of saving places that I like to try on Instagram. And now that school is out whenever I want to go somewhere, I go straight over to my saved places and pick one!Yesterday's choice was super lucky and great! I ended up at Eunice! The reel i saw on Instagram talked about their Saturday and Sunday brunch! So I'm going to have to go back, but I ended up going and making it just in time for happy hour! I made a reservation on open table For one and I was going to sit at the bar, but I decided to sit in the restaurant facing the street! They have beautiful floor to ceilings windows as well as a ambience that is delectable! The hostess was very kind and seated me, i was immediately greeted by someone that informed me that my waiter would be with me soon, I was immediately greeted by one waiter, who gave me water and said that your actual waiter will be with you momentarily! My waiters name was Daniel . He made great recommendations about drinks and food! I had the char grilled oysters as well as a cup of gumbo, which was delicious! I had the rum punch another drink, which I can't remember at the moment, but it is something to do with death lol and it has absinthe in it lol! It was delicious I had two lol I will definitely be coming back on a weekend for brunch because I'm curious to try some of those dishes! But don't think about it just go. I use the valet and tipped five dollars. Make sure you go in the door that says Eunice and not into the office building like I did lol!
