Wagyu House by The X Pot

We visited Wagyu House for lunch on a weekday, and while we did face a bit of a wait to get all 5 of us seated together, it was worth it. Once we were at our table, everything moved quickly. We opted for the silver menu option (note there's no specific lunch menu or pricing available). Our server, Andrew, was friendly & quick. Not only did he handle our large party efficiently, but he also provided excellent recommendations for our stay in Chicago. We ordered so much Diet Coke that they even brought us a tower--definitely a nice touch!I'm usually cautious about having sushi at a yakinuku restaurant BUT the food quality here was so fresh and delicious! We kept ordering more & more. The interior design/decoration was beautiful. Overall a great experience and we will definitely check out the LA & LV locations now!

Went to the restaurant to purchase a gift card a few weeks ago and was told they don't have actual gift cards but i can purchase a gift amount and It would be texted to the recipient's phone. But I cannot add a message so the recipient would have no idea whom is sending them the gifted amount.I thought this was odd but went ahead and purchased anyway. I let my friend know i had purchased a "gift text" for her. Days later, she informed me she never got any texts from WagYu House.I called Wagyu House and informed them of the problem and they said someone in charge of those transaction would have to contact me. A week later, someone finally got back to me and said they sometimes have technical issues with the "gift texts". They asked if there was another phone number I could use to send the "gift text". I said the gift was no longer needed as the occasion had already passed and embarrassingly, I had to get an alternate gift. Also, she only has 1 cell phone number so an alternate number for a gift text would not even be possible. They said they were not able to issue a refund even though they never sent a "gift text" to the person I requested. Really? Am I suppose to have the "gift text" sent to my cell number and then accompany her to the restaurant. Ridiculous. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Needless to say, I won't be returning to your restaurant.

I really enjoy this restaurant, however every time we go the menu is always changing. Something is always different. The menu has lost our fav items so unsure how much more we will be back. I will say service is always amazing and the food is always so good despite the menu changes. If you haven't been here I highly recommend it.

1 beer tower, 1 Diet Coke tower, 5 people, 1 speciality dish for each, and All you can eat goodness. If you look at the menu there is member and non member prices, unless you go there religiously then you'll be paying the non member price. This was $55 (base for ACYE w/o tip and beers) $80 total pp. It was AMAZING for the steep price. Good customer service.. I mean they gave us a Diet Coke tower and the quality of meat was like no other. The bone marrow and tartare were speciality dishes (they have like 7 to choose from). AND we barely smelled of jBQQ. I would want to go multiple times a year but with the steep price, this is a must for a special occasion. We went the previous day before lolla, best pre game ever

Made a reservation on a weekday for lunch. It was not too busy and there is plenty of seating inside the restaurant. We got the Gold Level for BBQ. You either choose Hotpot of BBQ and then there are different packages within that set. Was pretty satisfied with the level we chose as we got to try almost everything. One thing that I didn't like was how we were not notify when we got to the restaurant was that there would be a 90 minute time limit. Also bad on my part that I didn't look into that but I feel like someone should have told us when we sat down at the restaurant. There was no signs that I saw anywhere either. Usually for AYCE there is a 2hr limit and that is understandable but 90 minutes is not enough. I'm a fast eater and don't talk too much so I can't imagine someone eating slower and having long conversations while eating.

Jinru was our server today and he was AMAZING!!! He was very attentive, fun, and knowledgeable. Super accommodating. As always the food was amazing. I celebrated my birthday today and since I'm a member my food was basically free. Ambiance was perfect too. A great date night. And once again Jinru did a wonderful job today!!!!

About a 1-1.5: Wagyu House Chicago by the X Pot has 2 other locations, one in Vega and one in LA.We made advance reservations for an earlier dinner for our group, which was super easy. The menu offers lunch specials, an AYCE yakiniku and wagyu meals at different tiers, an AYCE hot pot menu, as well as various apps and beverages.We went for the platinum level of the Wagyu AYCE Menu, with the added supplemental for the A5 Wagyu Experience - we tried the following meats:+the A5 strip loin steak+the A5 flank steak+the A5 otoro+the chef's special - wagyu cubesThe menu also includes apps, soups, sashimi, maki rolls, tartare, entrees, veggies, seafood/chicken dishes, and desserts. We tried:+black truffle edamame+chicken karaage+kimchi+spicy Japanese pickles+tempura shrimp+shrimp with garlic+miso butter salmon+garlic scallop+otoro uni caviar tartare+wagyu fried rice+wagy bibimbap+chili oil wagyu dumplings+salmon, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, and foie gras sashimi (note that the foie gras is limited per person)+wagyu uni caviar handroll (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)+wagyu uni caviar nigiri (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)+seared wagyu foie gras nigiri (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)+otoro uni caviar hand roll (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)Note that even though the menu specifically states that it's an 'AYCE', there are still 'limits' in terms of how much an individual can actually eat (such as the A5 strip loin steak, the A5 flank steak, the sashimi, and the specialty rolls...) - kind of a baiting situation, as it's not really what it's being advertised as. I returned for their BBQ for lunch, and I picked the premium again since I am still determining when I will visit Chicago soon. I made the reservation at 12:30, but I was able to get in earlier since they just opened. I wish they would offer hot pot and BBQ together so I don't have to return to try them. I recommend BBQ over hot pot, but my friend prefers hot pot since it is less oily.Good-quality Japanese wagyu comes in various cuts that offer different textures. However, I would rather pay more for the a la carte hot pot in the Las Vegas location.

Friendly and accommodating waiters paired with a great selection of wagyu for under $50 allowed for a 5 stars experience

My boyfriend & I went to X Pot to celebrate our anniversary & had an amazing time! Food came out very fast & was high quality -- extremely delicious as well! Our server Simon was kind & attentive, he even brought out rosé for my boyfriend and I to celebrate our anniversary which I found was very thoughtful of him! Needless to say, please go & experience this place! Menu / ordering was easy to navigate. Also the taro smoothie is a MUST!
