Vanilla latte with almond milk. Addicting! I was also able to work outside around the greenery out front :)

Quick and easy. Service is great. Menu is easy. Cold brew is delicious. Plenty of pastries to choose from. The han and cream cheese bun warmed up is delicious! Will come back for more.

Very cute cafe with amazing service and friendly workers! My friends and I came to visit Chicago for the weekend and needed to grab a quick bite to eat- we were super lucky to have found this place! This cafe has a bunch of pastries like chocolate croissants and ham and cheese stuffed rolls, they also have bagel and croissants sandwiches if you were looking for something a bit heavy to grab. The food came out really quick and the coffee we got there was great! The show stealer for me was their iced mocha- This drink tasted like literal chocolate milk it was delicious! Definitely recommend stopping by!

FYI - this review only reflects the coffee options my friend and I got.The interior of Typica is very casual and has a lot of personality and charm. They also have a coffee roaster in the store! There isn't much seating, and there wasn't many others inside this past Sunday morning. I was not the biggest fan of the cold brew (3.85) here since I thought the roast was too dark. My friend thought her latte was just OK, too.I'm sure you get a fuller experience if you order breakfast/food/pastries, but we only wanted coffee. Next time!

Ordered via UberEats, I received a message 5 mins later saying "I called to cancel the order" this is false. If they didn't have the items I ordered then just say that but to straight up lie and say I called to cancel is wrong. They didn't even contact me.

Cute coffee shop that is family owned. Good amount of indoor seating & has WiFi. Love the true coffee shop vibe & that they roast their own beans. I will say I've been a few times and am dying to experience their latte art (on their social accounts they post extremely intricate cups). So if anyone knows which barista is a star.... Let me know! Still a great shop to grab a coffee. They have outdoor seating for when the weather is nice & you can bring your pups. There are a few parking spots, which is truly rare around here!

Typica Cafe is just everything that is right about coffee. It makes me so happy and proud when I see Venezuelan owned places doing well. The owners and baristas here are also national latte art competitors; and to my decent coffee knowledge, that is a good sign that you will get your coffee as it should be, right?I visited a little bit ago with my mom and my mother in law, they got a nutellatte each and I got a perfectly nailed cinammon latte. We also got some Venezuelan pastries (pastelitos). For references, we got the ham and cheese, and the spinach with cream cheese. Daniel, the owner also got us some guava and cheese ones so we could get to try those. SO GOOOOOD!Typica Cafe already opened their second location, bigger and with a huge food menu that I am dying to try. Yes, you guessed my friend, a lot of Venezuelan food I am dying to try there. One more thing. Last December, my friends got the pan the jamon (ham bread baked traditionally back home during the holidays) and I got to try it, it was just perfect (I know it is late, but before you think, it will be December again. Keep it in mind, you can thank me later)Thank you Daniel for being so attentive during our visit. I do appreciate a well done cup of coffee, but being treated by owners/staff with that much respect and courtesy is something I admire and share with readers.Fellow coffee lovers, keep this place in your radar. Do not miss out this gem

Adorable Venezuelan family-owned café with in-house roasted coffee beans and a wide variety of spectacular baked goods! Employees were so kind, warm & friendly which made for a stand-out experience. They answered our questions as we were deciding, and offered their favorites. We loved everything from the impeccable service, plant-filled & colorful aesthetic, and of course, the lattes and pastries we came for! Presentation was beautiful, with lattes served in wine glasses and food plated on wooden boards. Our favorites included * Golfeado - glazed Venezuelan sticky buns made with brown sugar and tangy white cheese which perfectly cuts the sweetness * S'mores - just as it sounds! A fluffy torched marshmallow on top of a brownie and graham cracker crust * Mozzarella avocado toast - avocado toast topped with fresh mozzarella, arugula, hint of truffle, and ripe baby tomatoes We'll have to come back to try more items, including the guava & cheese! I also didn't know the baristas are national latte art competitors, and can't wait to get a hot drink next time :)
