"What a great meal! The ambiance is upscale, and the service was amazing. I could barely take a sip of water without a refill. The menu has a lot of great options from seafood to chicken and beef. The breadbasket had a nice assortment, and it was hard to resist asking for another round. The fried chicken may seem like a less elegant choice, but man, it is made fresh and it's worth waiting for. It's also a huge portion coming out so hot you may need a minute to eat it, but it had a crunchy outside and soft inside. The grilled seafood platter had an array of tasty items, including giant shrimp and scallops along with 2 lobster tails. It was a meal fit for a king! For sides, the mac n cheese is a real winner with that amazing baked crust on top. The sweet potato was nice, but the praline pecan butter really took a nice vegetable and made it into a mini dessert. It was packed even early in the evening, so make sure you make a reservation. Every part of the experience was masterful. You will not be disappointed coming here."
"This was our first night dining experience while visiting from out of town.We were difinitely floored by the quality of meats and the food that they served. When we arrived it was the fetival of events. The place was hyped and the place was packed on a Thursay night. There was already a line that was crawling with people. Thank goodness we had reservations because there was definitely a line that proceeded out the door. Once we sat, we ordered a customized seafood platter with their king crab cocktail and 4x additional shrimps. This was to die for.We also got an array of their seafoods and meats. We got their small filets and their sea bass. We couldn't help but get their sides of spinach cream and sweet potatoes. Our first night in Chicago was perfected thanks to our wonderful dining experience to the Gibsons."

"I loved this place and I'll be returning here everytime I'm in Chicago! My husband and I are avid steak eaters so we decided to check this place out!We ordered the wagyu tataki for an appetizer. It was delicious. The truffle on top really made it extra special. We also ordered the cowboy steak, truffle fries, and bleu cheese mashed potatoes. Delicious! I haven't had a good steak like this in a restaurant! For desert, we ordered the baked Alaska. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon (yes I know it says happy birthday lol), our waiter also brought us cotton candy. They flambé the baked Alaska at the table, so that was really cool! The desserts were also very delicious.Waiters are kind, service is fast. Your water is always topped off! The place is dark, but not too dark. The waiters don't make you feel rushed and the experience was overall a great one.I definitely recommend this place. Check it out!"
"We were curious about Prime & Provisions, a steakhouse located in the River North area.Their menu offers lunch, HH, dinner, and dessert, as well as an extensive drink list.We came here for a birthday get-together, and we had a good time. We started off with:+Grilled King Crab bites - with matsutake shoyu, lime, and bearnaise+Black Truffle & Potato Croquette bites - with perigord black truffles+Kaluga Caviar Potato Skin bites - with bacon, creme fraiche, and aged cheddarI had the Lump Crab Caesar, which came with little gem lettuce, topped with some lump crab and garlic parm breadcrumbs. For the main, I went for the 16 oz bone-in, hand-cut filet mignon. The steak is finished with Wisconsin grass-fed butter. As a group, we decided to get sides to share:+Creamed Spinach+Roasted Wild Mushrooms+Parm Cheddar Potato Gratin+Decadent Macaroni & CheeseDon't forget to request bread service for the table, as that is upon request only.We had a booth seating, which was comfortable and intimate, so definitely request for that!Service was friendly and attentive! The restaurant itself has a classy vibe to it, with its nice dark woods and iron fixtures. The chandelier is very pretty!Reservations are highly encouraged. Limited metered street parking in the area.+reservations highly recommended+request the booth seating+order apps and sides as shareables+friend service+metered street parking in the area"
"Everything here was delicious! My husband and I came here during restaurant week and we loved every single thing we had. Our waitress mentioned that the portions were small and recommended for us to get an appetizer/maki. We did as she recommended and we got the seared salmon roll. It was delicious but we didn't think we needed it, the amount of food that came with the restaurant week menu was sufficient. We had the following:Serrano chili maki - delicious and just the right amount of spicy.Wagyu beef dumplings - melt in your mouth delicious. We had 2 other appetizers but I can't remember their names. One of them was a white fish that was so good, perfectly seasoned and melted right in your mouth. For our entrees, he had the wagyu steak and I had the black cod. In my eyes, the cod was the clear winner. Probably the best cod I've ever had in my life. For dessert we had a lava cake with ice cream and chocolate pearls, also delicious. For drinks I had the Roka Fashioned, so so so so good! My husband had a mezcal drink that was delicious. Overall, highly recommend this restaurant. The food, drinks and service were top notch!"
"Very classy restaurant, and it's fun to tell people you're eating at Michael Jordan's. The dining is upstairs with a cool walkway over the foyer downstairs. It is located in the Intercontinental Hotel and a good choice if you are within walking or Uber distance. Parking is not plentiful. There is no free bread though, which was disappointing. We got the filet which was just smothered in butter so much it had to be scraped off. The NY Strip comes with pickled red onion which I found unnecessary. Both were tender and juicy. For sides, the roasted baby carrots were really tasty as was the mac and cheese. They were pretty expensive for sides but were big enough for sharing. There weren't a lot of dessert options, so we passed on getting any. The service was good. For a nice occasion, this is a good option."
"Swung by for Happy Hour with friends, and had a really great time at Hugo's. We sat at the bar, and though I wasn't super clear what the Happy Hour prices were, I did know that oysters were a $1 and bottles of wine were half off! I do wish the oysters were juicier, and we did get some shells, but for $1 a pop, not complaining! The wine options were endless, and really happy with the bottle of sancerre we had. Also had bites like cheese dip and chips, steak and fries, plump shrimp cocktail and more.Service was great as well! Not a fan of their bathrooms, as there is an employee that is there helping you and providing little items you may need. I never carry cash with me, so it feels a bit awkward to accept help."
"Had a fantastic dinner here while visiting Chicago. Great location. Plenty of shops, bars, and other places within walking distance. Came in for dinner with my friends. Inside is a little dim but stylish. Spacing is a bit tight. Food was delicious! The crispy shrimp deviled eggs and pork belly are great appetizers. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy inside, a nice sear on the outside. Can't go wrong with the au gratin potatoes. Cocktails were delicious too. We racked up that bill lol but it was worth it.Service was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Reservations definitely recommended but were easy to make on their website. There's street parking or garages within a block or two."
"Gibsons was one of my very favorite places I went to in Chicago during my bachelorette party. The service was top notch and impeccable, the ambiance was gorgeous and the food was delectable. The treatment was so sweet and every thing I had was yummy. Some of the items we tried and loved were:*truffle fries - delicious, crispy and flavorful, I could not stop munching on them *beet salad - this was so refreshing and delectable, I loved this and how fresh it was. I would definitely order this again*focaccia bread with ricotta dip - super freshly made with the most yummy dip! Definitely a must order* cacio e Pepe pasta - this was on the creamy side but more okay, my least favorite pasta* rigatoni - this pasta was delicious and so flavorful in the tomato sauce. Enjoyed this thoroughly *stuffed pasta - this was cheesy and creamy whileDelicious and not too heavy. I really enjoyed this* scallop risotto - this was super yummy and the scallops were perfectly seared. Enjoyed every bite*brussel sprouts - these were crispy and flavorful. Loved the different textures *baked Alaska dessert - this was super unique and we enjoyed this a lot* chocolate tarte cake with ice cream - they brought this surprise dessert out for me in the end and I loved it so much. Every bite was delicious and went so well togetherI loved my experience here and would encourage all to go and check it out!!"
"I had been wanting to try this place for quite some time; however I was really underwhelmed by the ambiance. The decor was beautiful, but it was very brightly lit and loud inside to give off touristy vibes. People were clearly stopping in from out of town and shopping along Michigan ave, so I guess I should have expected this vs a more romantic atmosphere. Service was still great though. We had a couple of drinks, including some delicious glasses of wine with our seafood tower. The seafood was very fresh and excellent quality, which I would expect for the price. Because of the atmosphere though we decided to have our entree elsewhere. Next time I'll have to see if the patio is better for my taste!"
"Old school Chicago - but in need of a make over on the inside. The food is spectacular! We loved the prosciutto & burrata as an app and I especially enjoyed the tortellini soup! For entrees the ravioli w bolognese is lick the plate spectacular & the filet was cooked to perfection. Even after that we had to try the tiramisu (which my wife loved). Service was perfect and friendly/helpful!We had dinner at 7 pm the night before a day. The front room was full and were seated in the back. There was one very loud table & it was a bit much as they filled the room w noise. Each room could use an update/makeover - it's not classy old, it's just old."
"Los Tablas has been a staple in Lakeview for decades. I've been coming here since they had a small location across the street. They expanded the dining area and edit a larger bar area right by the host when you enterThe service is familiar and has been consistent since they're opening. They are inviting and recommend the best items on the menu. Colombian steak replicates many of the Latin and southern American flavors with their well spiced and predominantly well done meats. I order it the combination plate which consisted of Colombian sausage, pork belly, plantain, and steak. All delicious and tasty food."

Safe to say it's one of my favorite chains I've dined twice in last 30 days, largely due to the bone in halibut seasonal offering. Service is routinely stellar but I do find it frustrating on occasion that the wait time with a reservation is often 10+ minutes, which is problematic if you're on a tight timeline. I've never dined in the bar area, but it keeps a crowd and is a great option without a reservation. Another favorable aspect of dining here is that they're a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant so you can earn rewards when you dine. For every $140 you spend with LEY, you earn $10 in rewards.

The food here is off the charts 09/10. I had the Chicago cut ribeye and it was juicy, flavorful and grilled to perfection. We ordered several sides, the fries, the sweet potatoes, the twice baked potato, and the spinach. The clam chowder I slurped out of the bowl. It was all over the top delicious and the portions were Fred Flintstone size. Our waiter was engaging, funny, and he paid close attention to our every need. The inside of the restaurant is a wee bit dated, but it's the place to be seen. It's where all the celebrities go or have gone the walls are littered with photos of celebrities who were there and their signature accompanied their photos.I will be back later this summer to try some of the other dishes, such as their burgers and lobster. If you're driving, get the valet parking it is 16.99 much cheaper than parking in one of the parking lots near the restaurant. If you're on a budget, this is not the place for you. Three of us ate dinner no desserts or drinks and our meal cost us $400.00 which included a tip.

I came here last night for a work dinner. We ordered a variety of dishes:-Grilled octopus (tough and very dry. Very sad because I usually enjoy this type of dish a lot. It needs a sauce on top.)-Mini seafood tower (no explanation needed, although they could have told us what the sauces were.)-Wagyu tataki (delicious)-Scallop (I didn't realize it was one single scallop. But it was delicious). -Kale salad and wedge salad (a bit too much dressing for me personally)-Cowboy (lovely sear and strong beef taste. Great recommendation by the waitress).-Various sides of mashes potatoes, broccolini (borderline bland until you eat the last piece), mushrooms, brussel sprouts-Ice cream (delicious)Overall, a great meal. I wish the music was a bit softer and lighting a bit brighter but overall the experience was great.

Life is grand if you're willing to spend the $100 pp+ price tag. This plan B turned out to best one of the best dining experience I've had in downtown Chicago in quite some time. Add to that, reservations weren't made. I attribute it to the service and presentation of several items ordered.Smoking s'mores 5/5 A ball of decadent milk chocolate melts after butterscotch/caramel is poured on top, revealing toasted marshmallows, vanilla ice cream and graham cracker crumbles. If offered just the amount of crunch and was perfect for sharing. Whipped potatoes 5/5 Some of the absolute best whipped potatoes known to man. Caviar potato skin 5/5If you want to try caviar without breaking the bank, this is it. Lump crab Ceasar salad 4/5 Service separates a great meal from a truly memorable experience, especially at this price point. Kristina and Ricky exceeded all expectations. Their engagement, attentiveness, and genuine care transformed our impromptu dinner into an unforgettable evening. P & P should be proud to have such a remarkable team members. That said, the hostess was dry and anything but welcoming which is what you'd expect when entering. We were told there was no room in the dining room but when I checked OpenTable, it showed availability. However, we waited for a table to clear out in the bar area. Add to that, a couple entered with reservations while we waited and were seated in the bar immediately because the gentleman's attire didn't meet the dress code. The fact that they were seated ahead of us and we weren't offered the option to dine in the dining room in their place was rather surprising.

Celebration dinner, had the Omaske menu. Overall great tastes, flavors across the items. We had a couple of McCallan drinks which were nice (though the first one we ordered tasted terrible, and they were nice enough to replace).Service was attentive, the Ambiance is nice. Overall a good experience for Japanese food in Chicago.

Worth going to. Ate here w colleagues. Recommend you get reservations anywhere in this area o town. I had the halibut and we shared sides of asparagus and the mushrooms. All food was great. Service was a bit slow. Atmosphere was what one would expect at this price point.

We finally made it down to Hugo's. It's located on Rush Street next door to its sister store Gibsons. This place stays busy. We arrived on time and had to wait a few minutes for our table to clear up. Overall the service was friendly, but a little too slow at the beginning. It took longer than usual time to place our order in. The food however, was fantastic. My wife ordered their Lake Superior Whitefish. It came with plenty of mash potatoes, grilled onions and tomatoes. The fish itself was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I ordered their Shrimp de Jonghe. You get eight lightly breaded in bread crumbs and garlic, served on top of basmati rice. This is one of my favorite dishes of all time and it definitely hit the spot. I would have preferred a little bit more breading, but overall great flavor. They also start you off with a soup or salad. We of course both chose their clam chowder soup. That also tasted phenomenal. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely fantastic. We came here with a big group and they treated us like a wedding party with superior service, terrific drinks and cool event space. But what really shines is the food. The spicy shrimp was addictive. Get it. The bread was melt in your mouth. Enjoy that too. Then we need to talk about the steak. I mean it is called Steak 48 for a reason. They cook it at 2500 degrees and then serve it on a plate heated to 500 degrees. So my first cut on it looked a little underdone but the plate kept it hot to perfection. And it was just so tender and so flavorful. Normally I want a sauce but I didn't need anything with it. Each bite was velvety smooth. One of my favorite steaks in recent memory. Dessert was good too -- a caramel cake but I was so full from the food and drink! A terrific Chicago steak place. Highly recommend!

"First let me say I was here for business and I didn't pay (there was 20 of us at 2 tables) I was given a very limited menu so I can't say based on the full menu. The salad was very tasty the sides were good and the salmon was prepared very well. Service was impeccable and the place looked very nice and super clean. With all that said if I had to base coming back here based on what I did eat. I might say no thank you. Based on my coworker who has eaten here many times, I was told I missed out on some of the best steak in the Chicago area. So with that info. I would love to come back to try the steak. I don't normally base my review on limited menus, but sadly my company's customer paid and set the menu. I would be happy to come back again if in the area."
"We came to Kinzie Chophouse for a celebration, making sure that we had made reservations in advance for dinner. Our group was seated promptly when we arrived, which was great. We started off with the following apps to share:+Fruit de Mer - this included crab claws, lobster tail, oysters, and poached shrimp, served with mignonette, lemon-herbed olive oil, soy sauce, and horseradish+King Scallops - the scallops were sauteed and came with crab tartare prosciutto chips, apple trilogy, and lime mole sauce+Octopus on the Grill - with fish roe cream and black-eyed bean saladFor our entrees and sides, we ordered:+the A5 Takamori "Drunken Wagyu' - note that there is a minimum of 4 oz per order+a Delmonico - this was 16 oz; had this horseradish-crusted+a Dry-Aged Tomahawk - this was 36 oz; had this with bleu cheese crumbles+Truffled Whipped Potatoes+Fried Mushrooms - with a creamy gorgonzola sauce+Asparagus - dressed in a lemon butter sauce and fleur de sel+Four Cheese Mac & Cheese - topped with bacon and toasted breadcrumbsService was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The place is cute and intimate, with the white tablecloths and the nice framed pictures that decorated the walls.Kinzie used to offer valet years ago, but no longer; however, there's limited metered street parking and garage parking available in the area.+different steak-styles available+friendly service+limited metered street & garage parking available +reservations recommended"
"This was a treat for me during restaurant week. I'd never had escargot before and got to try it here. DELECTABLE! I started with a delicious cup of decaf coffee, and then moved on to the French Spritzer which was delicious! I also had the Mussels Marinieres & Frites, both of which were great. And that Chocolate Hazelnut Bar for dessert was FANTASTIC! The service was perfect and the ambiance was very nice. I enjoyed this decadent meal very much. It was overall, a lovely meal and time with friends."
"Walked into Folklore Argentine Grill because we wanted to try something new. The atmosphere is nice with unique lighting and flamenco music. There are two dining rooms. The first is smaller and has a more casual vibe. The second, main room is livelier but has a more romantic feel. Sat at the bar for a few minutes while they found us a table. Tried the pauloma (that's how they spell it) and it was excellent. Strong and tasty. Tried the caipirinha as well and that was just as good. We were seated in the main room and our waiter was very friendly and patient as we took some time to order. He brought out complimentary French bread which was delicious and is definitely made in house. We started with the tortilla de espinaca which was fresh and lighter, and serves 3-4. Next we had the chicken and spinach & cheese empanadas. Both were very good and I'm sure the crust is made in-house as well. Neither of them were greasy. Last we had the berenjena which was flavorful but pretty rich. This Argentine restaurant stands out as authentic with freshly made dishes in a nice area of Wicker Park."
"Amazing happy hour and great romantic ambiance! I highly suggest sticking around for the live jazz music in the lounge. Service was great even in the bar area as well. We started with some shrimp cocktail and oysters - for a $1 each during hh this was a steal! Especially along with the half off wine glasses. The pull apart bread was cheesy and delicious and only $4 for a huge size. I also got the ceasar salad, which was crisp and tasty (a little too much dressing) - I liked that there were anchovies on this. The fries were also super tasty and thick, as was the cheeseburger! Everything was amazing. Definitely would recommend."
"The ambiance and service were both noteworthy. It's stunning inside. -Perfect for a date. I loved our server. He was helpful without being overbearing. The food was good. Don't get me wrong. But for a $300 meal, not sure it was quite worth that. We ordered the steak tartare to start. Loved the grilled sourdough bread it came with. The wagyu strip steak was good but not a slam dunk. I did really enjoy the blackened salmon with grits, but the baked potato with creme fraîche and caviar needed more caviar and it wasn't presented in a very appetizing way. I'd have gladly paid more for more caviar on it. I load it up when I make it at home. It was an enjoyable experience and a nice change-up from your typical steakhouse, but I'd consider this a "one and done" restaurant."
"My friend and I walked in on a Tuesday evening to a packed restaurant. Little did i expect our neighborhood steakhouse will be so packed on a Tuesday evening. We snagged the last unreserved table and were quite lucky. Matty our server was polite and attentive, we had coffee, tea , lobster bisque , firecracker shrimpAnd salmon. Everything was good except the lobster bisque was a little underwhelming. Glad to see the steady flow of people @ the restaurant. Will be back for sure!"
"About a 1-1.5: Wagyu House Chicago by the X Pot has 2 other locations, one in Vega and one in LA.We made advance reservations for an earlier dinner for our group, which was super easy. The menu offers lunch specials, an AYCE yakiniku and wagyu meals at different tiers, an AYCE hot pot menu, as well as various apps and beverages. We went for the platinum level of the Wagyu AYCE Menu, with the added supplemental for the A5 Wagyu Experience - we tried the following meats:+the A5 strip loin steak+the A5 flank steak+the A5 otoro+the chef's special - wagyu cubesThe menu also includes apps, soups, sashimi, maki rolls, tartare, entrees, veggies, seafood/chicken dishes, and desserts. We tried:+black truffle edamame+chicken karaage+kimchi+spicy Japanese pickles+tempura shrimp+shrimp with garlic+miso butter salmon+garlic scallop+otoro uni caviar tartare+wagyu fried rice+wagy bibimbap+chili oil wagyu dumplings+salmon, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, and foie gras sashimi (note that the foie gras is limited per person)+wagyu uni caviar handroll (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)+wagyu uni caviar nigiri (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)+seared wagyu foie gras nigiri (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)+otoro uni caviar hand roll (note that the specialty rolls are limited per person)Note that even though the menu specifically states that it's an 'AYCE', there are still 'limits' in terms of how much an individual can actually eat (such as the A5 strip loin steak, the A5 flank steak, the sashimi, and the specialty rolls...) - kind of a baiting situation, as it's not really what it's being advertised as. Why even include these items onto the menu? The supplemental charges do add up, and the value for the selection that's being provided is definitely not worth it.Service was fine, and the so-called 'immersive dining experience' was interesting; I felt that it was a way to distract the diners from really inspecting the quality of the food and what they were being served. No dice, Wagyu House.Free parking is available with validation.+'AYCE' menu is not an 'AYCE' menu+free parking with validation"
"We returned for a nice little lunch here. Roka does have a nice vibe, an airy space, and a nice background music playlist. Did I say it was nice? Wife ordered a soft shell crab bao, but as they were out of bao's, they put the crab atop a salad and charged us $6 instead of $9, nice, again. She also had their salmon teriyaki lunch set ($26) and I had their chirashi bento set ($24). Both lunch sets came with a salad as well as 3 prime beef dumplings. I thought her lunch was a good value, and I thought my chirashi serving was on the skimpy side. However, given that it included a salad and 3 dumplings, and for $24, maybe it was more on the ok-grumbling as opposed to skimpy size. Taste was delicious and it was a nice lunch overall in any event.FYI and headsup - the booths are still on the tiny side and I'm not even super-fat. Also no 'mo Yelp check-in free amuse brioche deal."
"Food and Service....outstanding!We were visiting Chicago for the weekend and were looking for a place to grab appetizers as we had a super late dinner planned. This place had early reservations and we ended up pretty much having the entire restaurant to ourselves. Our server was delightful. He spent lots of time chatting with us about the history of the restaurant and was just overall so friendly. We sat at a table that had a tribute to a long time regular, Mr. George Burrows. It was fun to learn the history of this patron. We had the Lobster GOT, the Fork & Knife Bacon and a side of Cauliflower Gratin and OMG....these dishes were riiiiiiiiiiich!. The Lobster pieces were nestled in butter, gooey cheese and herbs. The fork and knife bacon was huge! This slab of pork belly was tender and slathered in a smokey sweet sauce. The cauliflower was extra cheesy. This really was the perfect meal and dining experience. Food and service were top notch."
"This is a really special place and an amazing experience. I went here with my friend for our friendversary dinner and we had an incredible time. We got a great wine rec from our server, and ordered a combination of specials and standard menu items. It's definitely a crowded busy little spot, and not quiet at all, so more of a vibe and an experience than a major conversation spot. Even so, it felt intimate and really special. I would definitely be back for future special occasions. Everything we ate was outstanding."
"My friends and I were last-minute looking for a restaurant on the weekend in Chicago and found this place. Located in a somewhat quiet part of town for me, the atmosphere is adorable and the service friendly. We had a couple of appetizers in the bruschetta and grilled calamari which were good, but not excellent. I ordered the black linguine as my main dish while my friends all ordered different entrees. The pasta was scrumptious and the seafood pieces were fat, delicious, and cooked perfectly. We topped off our meal with a great tiramisu.Overall, Mart Anthony's (great name) serves delicious food with generous portions."
"Good service, strong tasty cocktails, good menu for all. Review is bit delays. We came in for birthday dinner. We ordered a few dishes between the 2 of us: - meatballs - there were huge and made for great leftovers- octopus - the sauce was good to soak up with the bread- ribeye - it was a bit too charred for a medium steak. the tiny burnt parts were breaking off and blending into the jus ...so it was meh - strip steak - same as above- too burned on the ends and more than medium done. This was a special with soft shell crab on top which was tasty. We had ordered another appetizer but the staff forgot it. They were apologetic about the steaks and made it up by providing a dessert on the house. Won't mind coming back to try again."
"Outstanding steak at this trendy spot. It's a unique vibe for an expensive steak place. Plenty of vintage exposed wood and unusual decor, combined with the dark, clubby, red-velvet kind of stuff that you've come to expect at one of these places. Dining is divided into two rooms, with the bar in the center left of the entry room, in front of the open kitchen. We were seated immediately, our reservation honored to the minute. Chris took great care of us. He sensed that we were in a fun mood, and he complemented us well. Made some excellent recommendations, helped with the wine selection and kept the meal moving with a smile. Thank you! The menu is as you would expect - steak of all varieties, with the usual suspects for appetizers and sides. I started with a wedge salad. A quarter head of iceberg lettuce, adorned with bleu cheese, cherry tomatoes and slices of thick, thick bacon. Tasty and fresh. I also sampled a companion's foie gras. Yes, I know it's politically incorrect, but man... this stuff is GOOD! The foie gras is served atop slices of brioche and sliced strawberries and adorned with candied hazelnuts. Yum!Because you can't get this just anywhere, I tried bison tenderloin. The 8 oz cut looks small on the plate, but don't let your eyes fool you - it's plenty. Bison is extremely lean, and prepared medium rare as I ordered is as delicious a steak as you'll get. It's tender, juicy and extremely flavorful. Shared a few sides with the table, roasted brussels sprouts are the standout. Sprouts are halved, roasted to al dente and served under thin slices of prosciutto and pickled garlic. An excellent rendition, the prosciutto adds saltiness and texture. Indecisive is how you could describe our group, so even though we were all very full at the end of the meal, we couldn't resist dessert. And since we couldn't decide, we ordered chocolate cake, creme brulee AND tiramisu. Each one is divine in its' own right, but my favorite is the chocolate cake. 7 layers of cake salted caramel icing, candied hazelnuts plus a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I can diet tomorrow, right? All in all, this is an excellent, expensive steak joint; worthy of a return trip. Food is terrific, service is spot-on, atmosphere is cool. Recommended!"
"My husband and in-laws came here at 4:30 on a Friday and it was a empty but great for us. We got to choose where to sit and got our waters and bread right away. We ordered a bunch of empanadas (shrimp, spinach, beef). Our server gave us ham empanadas by accident but corrected them by bringing us the shrimp a few minutes later. We got 2 pitchers of their sangria because it was sooo refreshing, especially on a hot day. We got our entrees, I got the chicken in chimichurri sauce. It was a bit salty but the fries were good. The steaks were very good. Our waitress always checked up on us. Place was very clean. Chicken was cooked very well but the saltiness sorta ruined that. I would definitely recommend this place. I would probably order the steak next time."
"The restaurant is beautiful, and the service and food were also excellent. Our waiter was even French, which was a nice touch to the ambiance! We chowed down on the warm bread while we waited for our espresso martinis- super tasty and not too heavy. The steak tartare was a delicious appetizer to share. The Niçoise salad was a nice portion with a lot of fresh ingredients and tasty tuna. The duck was deliciously tender and flavorful. The macaroni au grautin was so tasty and rich, we had to get two orders for the table (smaller in portion though). Everything was delicious, and we also had crème brûlée for the birthday boy - not usually my favorite type of dessert though but this wasn't bad."
"I was completely blown away with the food at Stefani Prime! And yes the valet team are best in the area, servers are solid, but the food was 5 Stars! My table for 4 ordered the Crudo (don't take off the jalapeños-it really makes the dish) and the Meatball for Apps. Both were A+!!We ordered a chicken parm for the table which was light and juicy!! Just perfect! The filet (med rare) and short rib (special of the day) melted in your mouth! But what blew our minds was (in order) the Tagliatelle (special w/sausage) and the Red Wine Fettuccini (in parm wheel)!! These two are must get, just hope the Tagliatelle makes the regular menu! The cookie skillet Dessert was warm, gooey and delicious!Thank you Stefani Prime! Will see you again very soon and you just became my favorite Italian Steakhouse!!"
"I've been wanting to try this spot that is tucked away in river north. I love the old school vibes and wish some frank sinatra was playing in the background to top it off, but no music was playing this night. It's so cozy inside as well, but it was tough to get a waiter's attention at first. I had a couple of glasses of the Chianti which I liked over their cab. We had the grilled calamari to start, which was so tasty and delicious with a great sauce to dip your bread in. We also had the lasagna which came with a nice side salad and potato chips. It was very filling and satisfying to share. Overall I love the old ambiance of this place and would wanna try some more menu items! Great for a family night or date night."
"My daughter and I were going to the theater and decided to give this place a try beforehand. We found street parking right around the corner and in having a reservation we didn't have to wait at all. In fact it was so early in the evening that there were only two other tables. We had the calamari and the lobster roll for appetizers, both were very good. (The lobster roll comes with fried pickles, which we did not care for.)They cut the lobster roll in half for us and by the time we finished those two things we didn't have a whole lot of room, so we ordered one sushi roll each. We had the Chicago and the Volcano and they were perfect. We had one drink each and splurged on brownie a la mode ($14!) for dessert. Their prices are a bit on the high side, plus they add a 20% service charge to every bill. I didn't mind this because they are upfront about it and tell you on the receipt that the service charge is divided among the staff, and you have the option to tip additional to your server, although it's only "suggested." And they have a few amounts calculated for you. Our server was Beckie and she was very attentive so I did add more. It was $175 for the two of us so we won't do it often, but everything was fresh and delicious so for special occasions it would be great."
"Fantastic Ambiance. Knowledgeable and experienced team members. High quality ingredients and trained chefs Loyalty program with Lettuce Entertain You. Incredible Dishes inspired by Adriatic and Mediterranean Art and History. A joy to explore for all members of the family. Party rooms available as well as catering and supper club is until 430- 5pm daily from 11am. Attention to detail, cocktails that will celebrate your party and you. A must if visiting Chicago for business, family, leisure, or just shopping for a house in the suburbs."
"We had a lovely dinner here. We came very early and it was nearly empty, so the sound was fine. It is very small with a stage VERY close to the tables. I have a feeling that dinner while they have live music would be very loud. My passionfruit mojito was phenomenal. Very fresh and not too sweet. I had the steak, which was a bit more fatty than I prefer. However, the sauce for the steak (and the sauce that I kept from the empanada appetizer) was great on it. The empanadas are delicious. We ordered the beef and veggie. Both were full of flavor and crispy."
"A neat spot to enjoy some delicious hibachi, with tons of fun decorations, lots of space, friendly service, yummy egg sauce, plenty of parking, and reasonable prices. As compared to other Hibachi spots, I find the food is pretty similar in quality and portions. The overall selection of meat choices is bit on the higher end, with lobster tail, new york steak, sea bass, and other options in addition to the usual steak, beef, chicken, etc. Portion size is fairly generous, though for the price, not the largest that I've seen. In terms of flavor, the standout item here is the egg sauce that is provided pretty generously. The food could have a bit more umami, but still pretty good. The service is not bad, we were served pretty quickly and from friendly staff. The show was pretty basic overall, but this did allow the chef to spend a bit more effort on the cooking of the food. I like the setup of the tables here, as it allows the group to talk a bit easier than other spots with a more rectangular setup.Plating and presentation was fairly good here, as the chef neatly arranged all the different meats while cooking. Items such as the soup, salad, ice cream, pineapple, etc. were presented nicely which did give a bit more of a premium dining experience, in addition again to the substantially decorated interior full of art, bridges, plants, and other items to immerse diners in a fun experience.Overall, good value for a dinner and a show. It's not going to be the most amazing food you've ever had, but it's still done well and you get quite a bit to eat with dinner. I'd definitely choose to go here over similarly priced steak house options which many times aren't as flavorful."
"The new restaurant where Bandera used to be is AMAZING. I never thought I would love Salmon with jalepenos and mint and other herbs. It was delicious. The expresso martini is made with vanilla and expresso infused grey goose. The table, the service the food - all 5 stars!!! Can't wait to go back."
