I have been a loyal patron for 50 years. I am a former (trained) waiter at a 5 star restaurant. I knew the former owner, Nino, and always admired his "attention to detail". Once, he saw me at the old Lipton tennis tournament on Key Biscayne, and we were so impressed he took the time to come over and greet us. I love the place and our dinners were very good, but respectfully and constructively suggest:1. The waiter staff should be more experienced and/ or go through regular training. 2. Simple attention to detail - including the removal of soiled dinner and bread plates and glasses - without having to be asked (by your guests) is just very very basic to fine dining. 3. Waiters should not walk by a table, many times, before being asked to kindly remove soiled plates and cutlery. 4. Waiters should never walk by, or away from, 'any' table (even if such was not their assigned table) without scanning for, and removing, soiled plates or empty wine glasses, etc., etc. Wouldn't it be refreshing for an observant waiter to notice 'his' table was out of butter - before the guest had to ask for more? 5. Waiters should never interrupt guests in order to make 'announcements' or 'take dinner orders' - without first pausing slightly to allow guest conversations to politely conclude. Hence the term '[wait]er'. This also demonstrates respect (or perceived lack thereof) for your patrons. 6. Waiters should accept dinner orders in such a way as to remember which guest ordered which drink, entrée or dessert. It's very novice for waiters to arrive at the table with hot dinners in hand only to announce the dish and wait for patrons to identify what they ordered! Or worse, for waiters to announce "who gets the filet mignon"? (Thankfully the latter didn't occur). This is the type of touch which differentiates fine dining from the competition. Finally, all of the above fine dining codes of conduct - cost nothing. Again, please accept our comments in good faith, as we love the place and want to help make it an even more enjoyable experience. Respectfully, Fine Diner

AmbiancePeopleCaffe Abbracci has changed. We have come here for dinner many times. This place used to be so classy. A place where the best of the Gables showed up dressed up real nice on the weekends. Now I see a lot of low class loud people that have no manners. When we had dinner there, there were people at different tables wearing shorts and flip flops. Not an upscale crowd. I remember when people dressed like that were not allowed into the place by the host.We sat down next to a table full of patrons that talked very loud. They did not care that there were other patrons next to them. DecorWe were disappointed to see the new facelift. The new paint does not quite match the elegance of the glass chandeliers that were there from before. They don't seem to belong there. Also they plastered the wall with cheap lithographs. A nicely painted wall with an Italian landscape would do wonders. FoodCompliments to the chef! The filet mignon, seabass, and dessert were incredible. The house wine was good. ServiceThe older waiter that served us was very disagreeable and unfriendly. He suggested a certain soup and when I politely refused, he did not seem pleased. In spite of that, I gave him a good tip at the end of our dinner. He looked at it he did not even say thank you. No eye contact, no smile. He just walked away. For the price of dinner here, I think the Biltmore is more appropriate.

Well the year came to an end and that means its time for Cafe Abbracci and its awesome New Years party. Came early loved it great special decor for new years unbelievable. Of course great 80 s music and sj at the Tiffany style bar . Lorus grreted us as we waited and had drinks in the bar. We sat and the 4 course meal started! Wow great appetizer. Great lobster w sauce yummm then came he delicious ravioli stuffed w ossobuco or veal yummmmm great sauce too it was the bomb! Delicious filet mignon wow so good . The courses were all spread out and perfectly prepared. The dessert is a square triangle made with hazelnut chocolate and pieces of it inside very delish and looked cool as a pyramid. As we had our courses and drank champagnes the accessories for the bight were passed out! For the New Year eve party and countdown celebration. As the music disco style started it was awesome with confetti and party favors blowing. Delicious after drinks in the Tiffany bar with televisions on where everyone came to have champagne and celebrate theNew Year. Dancing and toast followed with pictures being taking and Macallan in hand. Always a super party amazing.Lorus and the team have always been perfect in New Years ! And also the entire year

First time visiting this Coral Gables institution after many years of thinking about it. Did not disappoint.Came for a late lunch and opted for the lamb chops with vegetables. Came with a starter mixed green salad and warm baked bread. Opted for a good glass of Amarone and finished off my great meal with a traditional tiramisu.Nice ambiance, cute little bar area, and a favorite spot of local celebrities. I shall return.

Great Italian restaurant. Everything was delicious. The decor was a little outdated and gave early 1990s vibes. It didn't bother me but might bother people who care about that sorta thing. The table next to us were Botox boomers who were loud and annoying which is not the restaurants fault. Would come here again! Enjoy.

Total hidden gem in Coral Gables that has been around for a long time. Service was excellent, ambiance was great and food outstanding. It's a very cozy and old-school Italian place with some of the best pasta. Their Pappardelle Boscaiola and Linguini with Clams were so flavorful with their wine sauce.

I've been a loyal customer here for decades and the food, service and ambiance never disappoints. A+ 10/10 consistently every time. So many amazing memories over the years. Came last night for a working dinner and everyone was wowed (as always). The Snapper, Branzino, and Pasta dishes, are always amazingly delicious - and this is coming from a meat lover! Great for celebrations with friends and family or for a professional event. Can't say enough great things about Cafe Abbracci. No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed.

My daughter brought me here for my birthday dinner, and I have to say it was absolutely outstanding. They have been around for a very long time. It is a very small, quaint place in Coral Gables as I remember. My grandparents used to dine there very frequently. The food was absolutely spectacular. The wine list superb and the attention to detail was absolutely wonderful. Although on the pricey side, it is somewhere I will definitely be back to go to and try other dishes on their menu. Make sure you make reservations, so that way you have ability to sit inside the restaurant. If not, there's a couple tables on the outside on the street but are available is first come first serve.

Everything was absolutely spot on from the host to the servers to the food. We had a large party in a private room and were treated like royalty. Thank for you a spectacular dining experience. These two photos should explain it all.
