"Great spot in Chelsea to enjoy a good vibe and a delicious cocktail & dinner! The burger was fresh, juicy and rich in flavors and the cordon bleue was sooo well done, and tasted like a good European meal! Service was fast and our waiter was funny and great to interacting with him.A bit pricey, bit worth trying!"
"The perfect spot for a rainy night in Boston. I dined here with some friends and had a great meal filled with lots of laughs!Shabu Zen offers a great hot pot dining experience that caters to the cravings of any hot pot lover or first timer. What's nice about this location is that you have the option to have a solo pot or family style. The restaurant has a diverse selection of fresh and high-quality ingredients, allowing you to create your own personalized hot pot concoctions. The broth options are rich, flavorful, and you can divide to get two soup bases. The crowd favorite amongst our friends was the Miyazaki Waygu A5 Grade. Cooked within seconds and the perfect soft texture. It's a must try. With attentive service and a cozy ambiance, Shabu Zen is a must-try destination for those seeking a satisfying and interactive hot pot experience in the heart of Boston."
"Loved this place! The service was super friendly! The food was very flavorful and the portion size was very generous!"
"We had such a lovely, relaxing meal here tonight -- our waitress was so careful to get our order correct and checked with us diligently to make sure we were happy, everything came out perfectly, and I was pleasantly surprised that the salsa was heavy on the oregano and to see a San Miguel photo on the wall! Margaritas were thirst quenching but not too sweet which we appreciated, and I always love a place that serves cochinita pibil on a banana leaf. The tortilla cups were charming and perfectly crunchy. Thanks for a wonderful date night!"
"Goldilox is pretty good but sadly, I still haven't come across anything that remotely approaches the NYC gold standard. Take a gander at my photo. See that tiny smidge of cream cheese in the eye of the bagel? That should be a giant honking globule, the kind you poke out with your finger and stuff in your mouth the first thing when you unwrap it. Boston, you are absolutely WEAK when it comes to bagels. There, I said it. That said, the bagel at Goldilox was solid, good amount of chew, though pretty doughy and a touch too sweet. The Ready to Lox bagel gives you tomato, onion, capers, lox, CC, bagel for around $10, which isn't bad. Best part of the bagel was the garden veggie cream cheese; I'm not a huge CC person but I'd eat that with a spoon on its own. They recommend pre-ordering which threw me off a little when I went there to order in person. Not to keep harping on the NYC comparisons but I do miss just walking inside a bagel place and picking out a bagel. The hours are Friday and weekend mornings only: I suppose they've figured out their most profitable times (and, hey, good on them for being able to work a reduced work week) but the hours are baffling for my own selfish reasons. Like, what if I want a bagel at 2pm on a Tuesday?? This just speaks to the total lack of competition for good bagels. Or it's a remnant from COVID times. One last note: It's tiny inside so definitely a grab and go space. Street parking available."
"This was my second time here...And it was absolutely delicious! This time I went to YouTube Shorts & ticktock to see what we should order next, the reviews did NOT disappoint! We ordered their infamous Italian sub with the rosemary cheese bread and I kid you not, it was the best sandwich ever (hence the 5 star rating).... If you don't have allergies like me, ask for it "Mike's way"...The chipotle cheese steak was perfect! They don't make it in front of you, however, they make it fresh to go!! It was also perfectly seasoned... This is my first chain restaurant that I've given back to back good reviews for... I seriously hope they keep this up!! I will definitely be a repeat customer... Y'all come check this spot out!"
"Probably the coolest Mexican restaurant above the boarder I've ever been to. The atmosphere was truly incredible. The drinks were enormous and the food was delicious. My guest & I gormandize on very tasty appetizers & truly unique tacos. We both were very happy with our meals. Kudos to the owners and their cooks. Carnitas Burrito /mole sauce very tasty (would suggest reducing the sugar to make more bitter spicy chocolate stand out). Fish Tacos- best presentation & taste I ever had. Flautas- I believe this was the taco containing beef tongue-truly the best tounge I ever had. Don't change a thing! Now one of my all time favorite restaurants!!EHM"
"Wow, what a great little Indian restaurant! They have lots of the "traditional" Indian dishes like butter chicken, vindaloo, tikka masala, aloo, gobi, etc. They also have some dishes that have a Chinese influence to them, like chili chicken and Himalayan momos and chow mein. We ended up ordering SIX different main dishes because it all sounded so good and everything was delicious! I like vegetarian dishes and really liked the mixed veg (many different veg in a curry sauce) and the sag chana (I think), which was chickpeas cooked in a spinach and garlic sauce (like saag paneer, but with chickpeas instead of cheese). The chicken vindaloo was excellent and had a bit of heat to it--perfect! The sukuti momos were really interesting and had somewhat of a bitter flavor with the topping. The dumpling was full of meat and flavor and really tasty.Overall an excellent flavor experience and I would definitely go back!"
"This place is so cute! I only tried the mushroom coffee that my friends got and it was good, unique flavor. Asthetically pleasant inside and friendly service. Healthy menu, my friends got a wrap and said it was very yummy."
"Viga has been a recent discovery a mine that has quickly turned into an addiction. With affordable options and quick service, Viga offers everything from sandwiches and salads, to pasta, pizza and specials. They frequently rotate their options and most items are under $8. They even have lunch combos available to patrons.I'm particularly fond of any of their sandwiches and wraps which feature their delicious, rich pesto sauce. The one I most frequently get is their Treviso ($6.59) which is a grilled chicken breast, pesto sauce, provolone, rice and tomatoes in a spinach wrap. Filling and pretty darn tasty to boot. I've never really had an issue with their service which is always very quick and never seems to get fazed by the lines. The place is pretty small though and does get pretty cramped. Occasionally there is some line confusion too but nothing too serious. On my agenda: to try their pizzas which I heard are awesome (and giant!). I haven't had their salads yet either and plan on doing so. So far the sandwiches and wraps have kept me happy and coming back though. If you're in the financial area and in need of a quick, cheap lunch, look no further."
"Been around Boston for 6 years and counting but still finding places that I haven't tried before! The restaurant is one of the few serves some Fujianese dishes. I actually don't know another restaurant that serves this region of cuisine so the previous statement might be false. For food we tried the steamed fish head with chiles which was a large portion of buffalo carp. The fish was cooked perfectly with the meat flaking off and staying moist with the chilies providing a nice balance of heat. Some other noteworthy items include the noodles with peanut sauce from the appetizer and the stir fried rice noodles. The appetizer noodle was a good size portion for $4 and the rice noodles are thinner than the average Cantonese Mei fun. The flavor was great for both dishes and I would definitely come back for!"
"Absolutely delicious, unique offering in Cambridge. Fresh pita flows through many offerings, each carefully crafted, fresh and bringing new flavors to old classics: cheeseburger and hummus plate. I added the mushrooms, a bag of berbere seasoned chips and was totally wowed. Missed the chance to take a picture as we were immersed in the delicious flavors.Helpful team, simple interesting decor.Great addition to the neighborhood-will be back to try more of the menu!"

"Libertine is a Portuguese-Italian fusion restaurant and a must try for those who eat gluten-free! The menu is advertised as 98% gluten-free (with the exception of ravioli dishes, such as the lobster ravioli).Libertine has a generous drink selection which includes port wines, hard seltzers, mocktails, and of course gluten-free beers... on top of the standard beer, wine and cocktail selection. Each appetizer at Libertine can be made gluten-free. My table opted to go with the choco frito (fried Portuguese style cuddle fish). The cuddle fish themselves were lightly breaded and perfectly fried, and served with a garlic sriracha aioli. Ideally there could have been a few more pieces of cuddle fish for the $23 price tag, but it was filling enough as an appetizer. For main dishes, I ordered the lobster tail ravioli (non gluten-free) and my companion ordered the lobster tail carbonara, a gluten-free dish. Both dishes came out hot and in decently sized portions (not too small, but not big enough to take home for leftovers). The lobster ravioli came with six large ravioli. Both the ravioli and the lobster tail carbonara came in a creamy sauce filled with surprise chunks of lobster claw, which were cooked to an enjoyable and flaky consistency. The service at Libertine was friendly and the food came out in a reasonable time. Our server offered us dessert at the close of our meal, though we did not have any more room and declined to see the dessert menu. The check total was what I expected for Italian dining in the North End.There were a few other dishes on the menu that caught my eye and I'd like to try next time I am at Libertine, such as the grilled octopus, chouriço bombeiro, meatballs, and gnocchi sorrentina."
"A decade ago I moved to Boston from New York, it was really hard to find great pizza in these parts. With the exception of one or two places, pretty much all pizza I encountered was way below standard. Especially Greek pizzerias. Good lord. So anytime I find a pizza place that is legitimately good, it's a highly coveted find. I ordered delivery from Square Deli and my pizza was absolutely fantastic. In fact, it was one of the best first bites I've had of any pizza ... anywhere. Including New Haven (though it's not the same style). it was perfectly thin and crispy without being overcooked, an incredibly flavorful sauce, and didn't flop over much with the soppressata ingredients weighing it down. I ordered Italian subs too , which were very good. Overall, I'm very very happy with this place and I'm looking forward to ordering again in the future"
"Great service. Food is pricey so you want everything to be absolutely delicious. The food was ok. The scallops were the best"
"Five stars! Great food, great vibe, and great indoor air ventilation! They have outdoor seating as of October 2023. Always a nice feature for the Harvard Square area. Nice menu with clear allergy labeling for vegetarian, soy, etc. Service is friendly. The indoor area is great for individual and small group dining. If you have 5+ people, you may want to consider another ramen place nearby. Most of the seats are for 2 or 4 people.Ramen isn't cheap, it starts at around $15 per bowl. Appetizers are around $8 or so. Music is pretty loud, so hard to hold a conversation."
"The sell berbere, $9.99, for one of those small soup take out containers. Back corner rack across the household items."
"I had a pistachio croissant from Brooklyn 2 weeks ago and I am chasing the flavor. When I knew I would be in Boston I thought probably some great croissants in the big city. I was going to be at MIT so my research began. It lead me to Praline's.Upon first glances I thought: clean, modern, nice employees and delicate desserts. A few things were already sold out but it was also 2:20pm. So I purchased a croissant and kouign amann. The Kouign was interesting in a good way! Shaped like a rose, hard on the outside soft inside like a croissant is supposed to be. The caramelized topping came off in a sheath and coated my back teeth which I didn't like as well as the hard exterior. I would eat this again even with the downfalls because of the flavor. The croissant- nothing to write home about. Needed to be softer and more flavorful."
"Will be back! Drinks are creative and amazing, ambience is spectacular, food is 10/10 and service is amazing. The kitchen is separate from Mooncusser (also amazing) but I'm pretty sure the fish is the same. Either way it's worth a trip. The vibes are chill and laid back, moody and tropical-- matches the food. Lighting is perfect, location is clean and not at all bad for an evening walk after. They spice their food very well! Try he 305 (I think?) for a delicious saffron drink."
"Bar review only.Cinderella's is a nice spot in Cambridge to grab a good beer. In a town full of breweries, it was nice to see a bar with a variety of hyper local, regionally local and just overall awesome brews. Founder's Kentucky Breakfast Stout was the entire reason we went, so that speaks to overall awesome beers they will carry. It's hard to keep that brew very long so we unfortunately missed it, but had the opportunity to try the Stony Joe by Stony Creek. It was a nice coffee stout substitute. They are worth checking out, especially if you are saying in the Le Meridien hotel nearby or just a local not feeling like going to a brew pub."
"Love the vibes and the food!LOCATION: Plenty of parking in a lot and space inside is pretty big inside that consists of large booths and counter seats.MENU: They offer all the classics from eggs benedict, omelette, sandwiches, pancakes and coffee. FOOD: I ordered the corned hash and eggs and was slightly disappointed when how little meat came with it but the taste was great. Also ordered the Elvis ' favorite which was chocolate chip pancakes, banana and peanut butter which was very delicious! SERVICE: Everyone was so nice and even the owner came out to make rounds and say hello to everyone."

I came to Shabu-Zen on a Saturday night during my last trip to Boston. It was a chilly, rainy night perfect for some hot pot! My friend and I did not make reservations ahead of time, but we were luckily seated immediately. I really liked the table setup, the bowls of hot pot broth were in grooves built into the table which minimizes the chances of spilling or burning yourself. We ordered the Surf & Turf to get a mix of meats as well as seafood. We picked beef for our meat, the other options were chicken or pork. Every main course comes with an assorted of veggies and an option of udon, vermicelli or rice. We picked udon noodles. There are alot of broth flavoring options, I picked Japanese Miso and my friend picked Chinese Sichuan Spicy. I enjoyed the Japanese Miso, the beef really soaked up the flavor. My friend's broth was super spicy, it was delicious... but not sure I would've been able to eat an entire bowl of it. The sides we ordered was an assortment of tofu and mushrooms, the plates were packed full of food! Overall, I can see why this spot was so packed. There is alot of seating inside and would be great for large parties as well. The staff were attentive, food came out quickly, they did not skimp on anything we ordered... as mentioned earlier, plates were packed! I would definitely make the trip back out here if I am in Boston again :)

We were staying the night in Westborough and I found this restaurant on Yelp. It was very close and so we went on a Thursday night. It is small but cozy, and they were pretty busy with tables and take out. Server was very pleasant and made sure to check on us several times. My BF got Chicken PAD THAI: Stir fried medium rice noodles, egg, ground peanuts, and bean sprout in homemade Pad Thai sauce. $16.95. He said it was delicious and one of the best Pad Thai he had ever had. It was a large portion and more than filling. I ordered the Stir fried Shrimp, broccoli, carrot, baby corn and mushroom in a house special sauce with egg noodles $18.95. Wow! Vegetables cooked perfectly , lots of shrimp, egg noodles perfectly cooked. The sauce was amazing . The flavors all blended together beautifully. It also was a huge portion and I wasn't able to finish it.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Thai food!

Saying in Medfort we lucky found Goldilox which was a quick walk from where we were staying. We knew it would be busy so we ordered online. I went with Just the right breakfast sandwich which is their version of the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel which I of course had to upgrade with adding cream cheese too. I got it on the specialty bagel that day which I believe was Tomato Basil, with bacon, eggs, American Cheese, and added Chive Cream Cheese. We placed the order and walked over. once arrived our food was almost ready. They don't really have seating since the place is so small. For sure a grab and go place. Since we were heading to Salem we just ate at the bridge down the street as we waited for our Uber. The bagel was great and very fresh. They also made sure it had plenty of that Chive Cream Cheese which I believe they are making in house. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was due to the bacon. There was very little of it on the sandwich and it was also that thin precooked microwave bacon. You gotta get something thicker especially when you are making breakfast sandwiches that size. You wouldn't even know it's there. If you are staying in Medfort though this is for sure the place to pick up breakfast.

Eating in is a totally different experience! It really is exciting watching them slice the deli meat fresh in front of you and then choosing from the fresh topping options that are visibly fresh. I tried the turkey with Swiss, Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and bacon. My friend ordered the chipotle cheese steak which I was torn thinking I'd regret not ordering a cheese steak but definitely next time! Service was quick and friendly, not overly friendly but not poor service. They seemed to be picking up shortly after we arrived (about 3pm) and received our order, noticing more people coming in but even with only one person behind the counter, they seem to keep up with avoiding any egregious wait times. The location was unexpected but convenient and cute with surrounding shops and a gym in the same complex. Location was well lit and clean as well as open with ample parking. Will certainly be back!

We love going to Mexico City Taqueria. For her persuasive essay in first grade, my daughter chose to write about why Mexico City Taqueria is the best restaurant.I'm posting this review on behalf of my first grader. Note that she simply calls the restaurant "Mexico" because she doesn't know the full name."In my opinion Mexico is the best restaurant. One reason I like Mexico is that there is funny skeletons in the entrance. It is funny. Another reason I like Mexico is because it is fun to wait. You can play iSpy or a card game. Also, I like their cheese quesadilla. For example the cheese quesadilla is cheesy. Now you know why Mexico is the best. Do you want to go?"We love going here. The food is great and atmosphere happy and colorful. And they are always kind to my kids. Thank you for many great evenings.

We are repeat customers. The food is very good however they are a little light on the spice... you may have to ask them to step the heat up.I mostly order from the Himalayan menu.. chicken momos are delicious. The chili chicken entree is my favorite. The szechuan chicken is also good. From the regular part of the menu I like the chicken kadai curry and the chicken 65 curry. The chicken pakoras are fine. Garlic naan is good. Husband likes the chicken tikka saag but always says it needs more spice. He also likes their dosas.Overall a very a solid yummy choice.

At only $5 a slice, the generous portions make it a steal, ensuring both your appetite and wallet leave satisfied. A delicious, affordable slice of the Big Apple right in your hands."
"TOP NOTCH!I order breakfast from here via GrubHub semi-regularly. I love their pancakes AND THEIR homefries are also fanastic. They always send plenty of syrup, ketchup, butter, and even napkins! (Unlike The Joint in JP that doesn't send syrup because "people have syrup at home").This place is SO GOOD! If they stayed open in evenings or afternoons for delivery, I'd probably order from them far more often."
"Let me start off by saying this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We came for my 25th birthday. My family was excited to indulge in all you can eat sushi + sashimi for the evening. However, as we started putting orders in, we noticed some suspicious activity.1. The waiter sent out 4-5x more of the cheaper sushi options than we had ordered.2. The waiter sent out 0.01% of the "pricier" options (sashimi) that we had ordered, at a trickling pace slower than my morning commute. It took 1-2 hours for 8 pieces of sashimi to come out when our party of 10 ordered 30.3. Combine 1-2, the strategy was clearly "get the customer stuffed on the cheap stuff, so they don't eat the good stuff."Our waiter was not helping.1. He operated with lightning speed when taking orders and rarely visited us for follow-up. He also did not speak very clearly and would blame us for confusing him. It was all a show to get us out of there as fast as possible.2. We had brought a birthday cake, which our waiter had the audacity to ask if we were ready for after maybe 10 mins of cheap sushi eating.3. All of these shenanigans led to a pretty public argument between our party and management. So why is this 5 stars? After our complaint, our waiter brought out my birthday cake and generously sang happy birthday to us. He had lots of joy. We offered him and the staff some of the cake too. They were all happy and the general mood improved. It was as if World War II had ended and we were eating cake to celebrate. The ambiance became truly warm.Overall, we were scammed. Our time was wasted. The sushi was mediocre. But by the grace of Lebanese-Japanese relations, we ended the night with a peaceful and beautiful birthday celebration. Thank you Maki Maki!"
"Paolo's is a fantastic find in Saugus. It's warm and inviting. The host was so kind and was able to seat my handicapped father in a table near the door and space heater, which was incredibly appreciated. Our server was also wonderful. And someone, guessing it was the owner, stopped by to see how we liked our meal.I had the PSL martini. I'm not sure the bartender liked me, since they didn't put the rim on the martini and added a dried apple ring, which was odd. I thought they might be out of the rim, but since we sat near the bar, I could see it was added to other drinks. They also weren't the friendliest when I walked in--just stared at me and instead of saying anything when I walked up, rudely pointed to the host stand, which I had not noticed. Anyway, if they are working when I return, would not order a cocktail. Even though my drink was delicious. That was the only off-putting part of our whole experience, because all other staff were great.Food was delicious. Bread is great. Fried mozzarella hit the spot and the tomato sauce was incredible. I was disappointed that the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe was not available, as it was on the online menu but not the actual menu. It's one of my all-time favorite pasta dishes. But I ordered another fave--the chicken broccoli pasta. It was fantastic. My stepmother loved her mushroom pasta and my dad enjoyed his scallop risotto. For dessert, he ordered bread pudding and my stepmother and I shared the tiramisu, like, everything else, was fantastic. I'll absolutely be requesting that we visit Paolo's whenever I'm in town."
"Affordable, tasty, & Boston metro area aren't usually in any of my sentences together, yet for the quality of their food & service, 3 Little Figs delivers on all three!I had a scratch made biscuit breakfast sandwich and a brewed coffee for $10, which was a great way to start my day.Lunch sandwiches are $10 and looked delicious as well. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Somerville!"
"Quick stop for a quick snack since who knows how long it's going to be until dinner time. They had a half dozen or so pies already made and I chose the Hawaiian, which the young lady put in the over for a few minutes before bringing it to my table. It's not a fancy restaurant but the thin crust pizza is tasty and the service is good."
"I wasn't expecting much from the small neighborhood joint. We went on a Saturday for lunch and it was not too busy. The ambience was very family friendly and the food was really delicious. They also had excellent olive oil with bread as a starter. I got the steak tips and Caesar salad and it was mixed perfection. Definitely come again."
"This café is fabulous. This is what comes to mind when you think of what a neighborhood corner bakery/Café should be. Clean. Friendly. Fantastic homemade treats. The Turf bagel sandwich with salmon on whole wheat toasted bread... Fantastic! A nicely toasted sandwich with smoked salmon, avocado, mayo, cream cheese, arugula and cilantro. You could stop right there but there's more. Also got a couple of muffins, blueberry and banana. Both of them warm both of them super.Wanted something light to drink so I went with the sparkling lemonade... A winner. Nice lemonade taste with a sparkling kick.Vegan options avail."
"No matter how many sushi places we've tried so far, U-Sushi comes out at the top! They are consistently good when it comes to flavor and freshness, their service is timely and friendly, portion sizes are good, and prices are fair. What more could you want?!We have some staples everytime we order - the spicy salmon Maki roll and spicy tuna salad. While both aren't technical spicy, they at least have a hint of spice as compared to what we've eaten at other restaurants. We also end up getting one of their specialty maki rolls, sometimes with shrimp tempura, spicy seafood salad, salmon or tuna, and they're all delicious. We order directly at the store, so we usually get a free edamame or seaweed salad since we exceed the price threshold. This is usually more than enough for two people. Overall, great value for money!"
"Small Italian restaurant with delicious food and great service. Highly recommended! Ravioli is great. Would definitely come back again."
"Zuzu's vibe is stellar. The decor (in my unprofessional guess of a description) can be described as vintage European meets cute mid century modern. They play jazz on the record player. It is an intimate, no tech zone. The servers were both lovely. What tacks off a star for me is the price. It is very expensive for just dessert. The portions are larger than a standard dessert at a restaurant, but it was still more expensive than I expected. Expect to pay $15-$18 for a single dessert. Regardless, I still think it's a nice experience to try if you're into dessert! Fyi - there is no sit-down fee as another review described so that must be outdated."
"I usually just grab a salad over here during lunch and they're huge and relatively inexpensive, I got between here and Viga depending. This place is right outside my building so it's quick and easy like if it's raining or something. They have a decent breakfast selection too and sell pretty much anything besides alcohol. It's re-done it used to be something else but I couldn't find anything on Yelp for it so I added the business myself. Oh and if you are craving candy.. a ridiculous amount of it is sold here."
"Another awesome meal from Star House fabulous pupu platter for 2 ! The best Hot and Sour Soup Also ! Great stag, excellent food My go to thanks!"
