"Ordered take out via food delivery app. Order was prepared and dispatched really quickly. Whole order was packed nicely in one single bag, including two lassis. I liked a lot the samosas and chicken wings. Chicken pakora was decent. The chicken tikka masala was cooked little differently than what I know. Still the sauce was really good, even two days later I had the flavor in it. Loved the lassi, came in a huge cup, sweet and thick, like it should be."
"I liked this place. It is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, near some old Federal/courthouse type building. It is a few blocks from Peachtree Street. I met a friend here for lunch before doing a walking tour. The shop is a straightforward, no frills sort of place. They have a small dining area with multiple booths and a couple of tables up front, and a counter at the back where you order. There is a menu board above the counter. The guy behind the counter was friendly and engaging. The food is then brought out to your table after you order. I got a gyro and fries and enjoyed them. This place is well worth a stop for a quick lunch if you are in the area."

"Yeah, I will not return to this venue. The service was horrible. I came for their lunch buffet on Sunday. The place was not that busy when I first arrived but it started to get packed. The server took my drink order and never returned. I don't know if there was a miscommunication or what. Another server was taking care of all the tables around me but my server never returned and did not even come back to the room. The food was decent but nothing spectacular. I wish they used more seasoning, spice, and a little more heat."
"Pros: * ample parking* awesome decor, love it. * attentive staff, water was refilled on a timely fashion. * the menu was awesome, loved all the different kinds of fusion dishes. * Thali was the the best for your buck. $15 for rice, naan, 2 entrees (changes daily), daal, raita, pappad, pickle & dessert. Cons: * none. Def coming back to try more."
"Despite me patronizing numerous Indian, Pakistani, Nepali, Sri Lankan, Burmese, and other restaurants devoted to various neighboring regional cuisines, this was my first time trying a Bangladeshi restaurant. Apparently Atlanta's suburbs must host a decent community because there are several such businesses in a small stretch. I tried the most established one.I was pleased to discover that ordering online offered a robust 25% off the list price. My GPS took me to a market with a small takeout inside, but apparently online orders are sent to a separate restaurant next door. This would seem to be a common issue, but even they seemed a bit confused by the situation. I walked across the beat up parking lot to the other building and found my food waiting. While the cuisine of Bangladesh appears to be less vegetarian-friendly than most of the subcontinent, I thought it would be worth trying their take on biryani. I was right. A luxuriously spiced creation that reminds you that this is the part of the world where spices come from, this dish excites the tastebuds. I was a little miffed there was no chickpeas or other beans thrown in for more protein content, but it was delicious enough that I didn't care. A samosa was tasty as most of them are, but was notably enhanced by a complex hot sauce. My separate ordered of chickpeas was strongly flavored and spicy as well.I got a ton of food for my money, and despite the limitations of this place, it was an interesting experience. I may be inclined to try out its neighbors before I return to see what else the cuisine has to offer."
"I've been to the Marietta location, but this was my first time here. There are of course numerous other Indian restaurants in the area, but this one offers a distinctive and large South Indian menu that I think is well worth trying. It wasn't the most amazing service experience as they were struggling to open up on time and no one was rushing over to take my order, but the food itself delivered.I'd never had an idli in chaat form, but that delivered an interesting experience heavy on the yogurt. Of their numerous dosas, I ordered the house special, and it was indeed a special filling with delightful black chickpeas, mung bean sprouts, fried noodles, and all manner of flavors. And that's before you start adding in the chutneys and sambar. These things are an embarrassment of riches when done right. So much flavor."
"The first time I visited Curry Up Now, I was immediately impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and friendly service. The second visit confirmed that this is a place worth returning to. On both occasions, my meal exceeded expectations, leaving me eager to explore more of their menu. While I can't recall exactly what my friends ordered, I do remember how engrossed I was in my own dish. The flavors were bold and authentic, showcasing a perfect balance of spices. The portions were generous, ensuring that every bite was satisfying. Curry Up Now has consistently delivered a delightful dining experience. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, you'll find something to make you happy here."
"This is a local fave!!Service here was welcoming, Warwick and efficient! Food came out quickly, good portions and they will prepare entrees to the spice levels you desire. In all my years of coming year I have never had a bad meal. All the nan is also made to order. Garlic and the cheese are my favorites. They also serve beer and wine. Decor is traditionally Indian and very beautiful!"
"I ordered takeout as my sister and I were wiped out after multiple days of back to back appointments. Everything come well packed and separated but with no utensils or napkins. Luckily for us, our hotel had those on standby in the lobby. Unsure if rice came with the order, we ended up with 4 containers of basmati rice for our two orders. It wouldn't have been as much of an issue if we could have eaten the leftovers but we had a plane to catch first thing in the morning the next day. Even so, two rices cost $6 which wasn't a huge waste of money. Spice wise, we opted for medium since hot and extra hot was for additional costs. We got their Garlic Naan Bread, Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Makhni. The bread was soft and had fresh pieces of garlic on top, I was in love and only wished I had it fresh. Basmati rice had split fennel seeds cooked with it which added to the depth of flavors. Both chicken dishes were tasty and unique. The vindaloo was slightly sour and I thought more spicy that the makhni which was more buttery. Food sat well in our stomachs as we went to bed shortly after and woke up without any upset belly issues. Would order from here again!"
"Himalayas is delicious. Also, the owner is so sweet and funny and makes you feel so at home. Everyone who works there is so kind!We had a party of 5 at 7:30 on a Sunday night. It took a while for the food to come out, but the appetizers helped! They have a great patio for outdoor seating with cafe lighting! In the winter, they have heat lamps. There is street parking and also a lot off of Pierce Drive. Here's what we got:- Veggie Samosas ($6 for 2): Very good! The samosas were a good size too!- Chana Puri ($10): Good!- Panir Masala ($14): Delicious! After the samosas and the chana puri, we had some leftover!- Naan ($3, 2 orders): Sooo good, especially dipped in the masala sauce! They are very willing to customize dishes - one person got half tofu and half panir masala. Good prices, good food, good portions. Highly recommend!"
"Been a family favorite for years, there's some remodeling on the facade so it is covered but the restaurant is still open 11 am-9.30 pm Mon-Sun. It is closed on Wednesday. Come get your Indian street food fix here, the quality of food is exceptional. Very authentic, the staff is helpful, hospitable and quick. The ambiance is casual and it is great for groups."
"I've been to Curry Up Now in Alpharetta, so decided to check out this Madison Yards location. There's free parking in the deck next door. It's fast casual, so we placed our orders at the counter before seating ourselves. The inside was very clean and had tons of space and seating. For 3 people, we went family-style and split the samosa chaat, 1 burnt chili garlic naan, pani puri, chicken 69, and vada pav. The food came out super fast which I appreciated! The samosa chaat was pretty flavorful, although I do prefer having the samosas already broken up and mixed. The naan was a little dry and not as fluffy as I would have liked. The pani puri was delicious and I loved the flavor of the vada pav and the buttery pav! The highlight of the meal though was the chicken 69. Hands down some of the best chicken 65 takes I've had. It was flavorful and had a great crunch on the breading. Overall, love both locations I've been to and can't wait to try more off the menu!"

This was an awesome find! The owner gave veggie samosas to us as an appetizer and we were loving every minute of it. The filling was great and the seasoning on the outside was an awesome touch. The Lamb Shaag Ponir was excellent and the Aloo Daal was awesome with just the right amount of spice. We loved this unassuming restaurant. They do serve everything in disposable containers, but don't be put off. The flavor is there! BTW there were so many to go orders while we were there. The inside is small, so if you would rather picnic, go for it!

My friends and I were looking for a quick dinner spot after spending a long day in downtown Atlanta. We were super hungry, but it was getting late. We wanted to be served fast and eat quickly before we got back to our hotel to shower and rest for the night. Then, we kinda found this place on our search. It was opened, empty and close to our hotel, so it was perfect for us.There was 2 men inside manning the whole store. There were decent amount of tables inside. They answered any questions that we had. I personally got the COMBINATION PLATTER. The 2 meats choices they had were pretty good. The white and spicy sauce that they had made it even better. I went up to ask for more sauce and they kinda gave me more. The side salad had a good amount of vegetables and a nice light dressing. They also gave pita bread on the side, but was surprised to see how thin they make theirs. It was different, but nonetheless good. The whole combo with carbs/protein/vegetables was enough to satisfy my super starving stomach. I also ordered a BAKLAVA dessert. I was kinda disappointed in their baklava. It was not your typical slice, but more like 2-3 tiny rolled baklava in one order. It personally didn't think it was worth the price despite it tasting good. It was really small and left me wanting more.Overall, I do recommend this shop for their food. Despite how I may have judged this place by the lack of reviews or lack of customers inside, the food was good. It wasn't the best halal food I've had, but it satisfied my hunger and tasted good.

Before the pandemic, whenever I craved Indian food, I used to be a regular at Cafe Bombay, especially for its buffet. Priced around $12, the buffet was a fantastic deal, offering a wide variety of meat and vegetable entrees that satisfied my cravings every time. The flavors never disappointed even when I opted for a la carte. On my most recent visit, I indulged in a selection of dishes: Garlic Naan ($4.25), Lamb Rogan Josh ($16.95), Goat Biryani ($16.95), and Vegetable Samosas ($5.50). The samosas, served two to an order, were filled with spiced mashed potatoes and green peas. Unlike many fried versions I've had elsewhere, these were baked, giving them a lighter, healthier quality. They were accompanied by a tangy tamarind chutney that added a delightful depth to each bite. Both entrees were equally impressive. The Lamb Rogan Josh was mild yet rich, with a blend of spices that complemented the tender meat. The Goat Biryani was a standout, as well! I personally think Cafe Bombay is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to savor authentic Indian cuisine.

Food was hot, spicy, flavorful I DID NOT want to leave. Several of the tasty treats and pastries are displayed right in front of you. Sooo tempting. I wanted one of each!!!Please note, there are three locations next door to each other. There's a market, street food - takeout only, and a sit down. I've been to the takeout, many moons ago. Decided to try the restaurant like spot. Now, it's not five star ambiance at all. But the food is phenomenal. I had a fish wrap and two veggie samosas. Best darn samosas I've ever had. And I've had my share. Homemade and not. The samosas were not just mashed potatoes, peas or chickpeas. It was the flavor and the right exterior. And it's served with a green sauce. Immaculate. Parking and driveway. Hey, it's a little rough. But again the food. Hope you like it as much as I did. Oh and the price, $13 for my food and drink. Hot and ready. Yeah I'll be back. Going back for the wings. There like a dollar each wing.

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm either working in the area or even just going north on 285 at the right time. I had another great vegetarian lunch there today. The gentleman that works the counter is always very kind and is starting to recognize me. They do a great job keeping the buffet well stocked. These pictures that I took today aren't the best photos and weren't intended for yelp, but for me to remember what all they had, when my wife asks me tonight! Since I took them, I might as well share them. Check out this great place that's also a great value at $12.99 Tuesday thru Friday.

Fun street food. Service was great!!! I love the sauce that came with the food. The carton that the to go food was in kept the food warm. Plenty of indoor seating. And a large menu. Flood seems very authentic.

During my recent visit to Atlanta we went here not once but twice. It was THAT good. My niece and I went one night for dinner and had the best experience ever. All of the wait staff were excellent, we especially enjoyed Nabil who was hilarious! We couldn't decide between the chicken 65 and the Tandoori wings. We went with the wings but were pleasantly surprised when Nabil also brought us the chicken 65. While both were delicious the 65 was our favorite! We also ordered butter chicken, veggies and garlic naan. The butter chicken and naan were spectacular but we didn't love the veggies that were a bit mushy for our taste. Surprisingly the star of the show, that brought us back again 2 days later was the hot masala chai! I still dream about that chai, it is truly magical. All in all we love this restaurant and it's now on my list of places to eat while in Atlanta.

"I've visited Royal Spice's Dunwoody location on many occasions and I think they have some of the best and most authentic Indian food in the area. Their menu has so many different options of appetizers, curries and much more. I've only had an opportunity to try a select handful of items, but each dish I've had has been delicious and I feel confident that everything else would be just as good.I'm a fairly basic person when it comes to curry, so I'm very familiar with their butter chicken and their chicken tikka masala. Although fairly similar, you can definitely distinguish between the two at Royal Spice. The tikka masala is definitely a bit sweeter. However, both curries are fragrant and taste delicious. The chicken cubes are tender and absorb the flavor of the curry quite well. I've also had their chicken biryani and this is one of my favorite biryanis. The saffron they use in the rice is evident throughout, and the flavors compliment each other quite well. There's spice, some earthiness, and pairing it with the yogurt adds a lightness and creaminess to the dish. It is simply fantastic. On the vegetarian front, I've had their bhindi masala (okra) and their palak paneer. The vegetables they use in those dishes taste fresh and they tend to make the vegetarian dishes stand out more with extra spice. I found these two dishes to be spicier than the meat dishes, at the same heat level. The portion sizes at Royal Spice are a plus. They serve you a lot of curry for the price, and isn't stingy about the rice. As someone who will come here alone most times, getting one curry is enough. The ambiance of the restaurant is bright and cozy and service has always been attentive. I will absolutely continue to visit Royal Spice. I haven't even been able to try out their lunch special, which I hear is a big hit!"
"I'm very impressed with this restaurant, the ambiance and the atmosphere are just great and my selection of the food was just wonderful. Everything was prepared to perfection. I never knew that it was right here. I always passed by. I thought it was close, but now that I know it's here, I will probably be here every other day. Good job, guys"
"So, if you follow me you know I am NOT a negative guy. I want to help everyone improve. Came here over the weekend and was a bit disappointed. The place is clean and very well taken care of. The ambiance was Hindi music videos playing. No problem. Sat down and our waitress came to check on us. We poured ourselves water and never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We were asked if we wanted to order. So we placed our order. Wife got buttered chicken and buttered naan. I ordered the weekend special chicken biryani. I was so excited because I love biryani. The food came and the portions are extremely generous. I will give that a five star. I was ready to dive in and was told it was spicy. No problem. I dug in and the first bite was so salty. I thought I maybe had the one spot. Kept eating and it got saltier. I could not eat it at all. I eat everything and left almost all of it. The waitress never checked on us and didn't ask me anything about the food. We paid and left. I wanted to like it so bad because everything else was awesome."
"Had to give 4 stars because they didn't give us our veggie samosa even though I confirmed it twice and we didn't notice till we got home. So that made me sadOtherwise we got the mojo which was tasty, the garlic naan (yum) and the lamb curry. We got it all to go since it was right before closing. They were very nice and accommodating and didn't take long to wait."
"Looks aren't everything! = Ambiance is bland. There's nothing wrong with it but nothing to write home about neither. = My recent enthusiasm for uttapam lead to this MM visit. Unfortunately it was disappointing. It was probably the most bland Indian food I've had in 20 years! This is supposedly South Indian! My vegetarian Indian friend got their dosa and said his dish too was mediocre. Baffling is the Yelp rating. + Price is reasonable ++ Service is prompt and friendly.+ Parking is a shared lotPerhaps it was an off night and I may give them another try.MY RATINGS- - - Inhumane- - Disgusted- Don't bother= Missed the Mark+ Good++ Better+++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!"
"Came here on a Saturday night to find the restaurant about a quarter full despite all the construction outside that makes it seem closed. We got seated right away by their kind host as a result. I had a pretty filling lunch before so my taste buds weren't as primed for a delicious meal like usual. Their Garlic naan was soft and on the thin side. The butter chicken was saucy and tasty. I was surprised with the amount of tomato's in the garlic salmon but still enjoyed it.Overall, the food was good and the service was great. From the time walking in the door to walking out, we finished in less than 45 minutes. Wouldn't mind coming again!"
"Came in as I kept walking by this place and the smells attract you. The decor is nice and simple. The staff was very helpful and seemed to really enjoy working there. We tried a few different dishes and nothing was a disappointment. All the food was fresh and just delicious. This is now my go to Indian restaurant."
"When I was out looking for a drink after dinner, I came across Gokul Sweets and really didn't know it existed. I mean, there's ANOTHER Gokul Sweets location not even a mile away in the Patel Plaza. This location is closer to Cherians.I came on a Thursday evening right before they closed, and man, the colors! There's just so many snacks that range from the hot pink to the bright yellow, and they all catch your eye. My drinks plan went out the window and I decided to start selecting sweets from their displays. Tonight I got:Badam Tarbooz x 1 ($9.99/lb)Pista Barfi x 1 ($7.99/lb)Coconut Barfi x 1 ($7.99/lb)Kaju Pista Katri x 1 ($9.99/lb)Dry fruit milk shake x 1 ($5.50)Running down the list of desserts, the Badam Tarbooz was delicious! It looked like a small little slice of watermelon, and guess what? It TASTES like a little slice of watermelon. I laughed when I bit into it, shared some with my mom and sister, and they both laughed too. It's not at all what you expect, but it's dang good! The Pista (Green color) and Coconut (yellow color) Barfi squares are both very rich, and flavor of both are also really good. The pista is pistachio and the Coconut is, well, coconut. Both have sliced almonds covering them. I think I preferred the coconut one more of these two.The Kaju pista katri is also a pistachio flavored snack that is almost a tiny diamond shaped sandwich. You can peel these apart and eat each individual layer. I think the pistachio flavor here wasn't as pronounced but it also wasn't bad. Still, this was my least favorite snack. The Dry Fruit milk shake was surprisingly really good. Very slightly sweet, and filled with finely chopped nuts including cashew, pistachio and almond as well as spices that made me smile. If you like a sugary sweet drink, this may not be for you, but luckily they have several drinks to choose from.In addition to all the sweets i'm talking about, don't sleep on their actual meals. Gokul sweets throws down with all sorts of traditional indian and not so traditional dishes. I tried none of them this visit, but due tho their tues-thurs specials they mentioned to me, i'll be back to try them.Located off of Dekalb industrial way, right across the street from Waffle house, just before you reach Scott Blvd., it's a small little parking lot but you should be able to find a spot. Getting in and out aren't too bad either.I don't have anything bad to say about Gokul Sweets. I'm just sad that I didn't find it earlier"
"This place is in a slightly separate area from the famous Patel Plaza conglomeration of restaurants; it's kind of hard to get into due to construction on the road, so I actually parked at the plaza and walked over.It seems like everyone that posted pictures of this place got the chana bhatura. And when I walked in, the place was crowded despite the off hour, and there were a lot of chana bhatura tables. Indeed, one couple just got two orders of this. So I'm not being overly creative by saying I ordered the chana bhatura. But it is every bit as good as it looked. The freshly puffed bread and the complex and slightly spicy chickpeas would be a meal by themselves, but this place really does it right with accompaniments. I got a fried chili pepper and a fresh one on the side with some pickled vegetables that add a wonderful contrast of flavors and textures. One of the best renditions of this dish I've ever had, and I've had, and I've had lots. Ordering a chai wasn't a bad decision either; it came with some little cookies for dipping and while there was sugar on the side, it was flavorful enough without. This place was bustling despite ample competition. The rest of the menu looks full of delicious vegetarian specials. The name on the door speaks of sweets, but if I'm being honest, I've never really gotten into Indian desserts despite having tried several. But come for the savories for sure."
"My lovely bride and I popped in for Saturday lunch and ordered the sausage pizza and the tandoori chicken pizza, which is their most popular pizza. We liked the sausage pizza even more. My bride loves their thin crust, and I love their unique red sauce. The pizzas have plenty of flavor. Service is pleasant and prompt. Highly recommended!"
"Serious Indian takeout with serious spice, we loved our recent order from Bawarchi. I am always on the lookout for Indo-Chinese, and was intrigued by this spot's wide selection. We went with an order of gobi Manchurian and chili paneer, both of which were delicious and oh-so-spicy (buyer beware). We rounded out our order with tasty paneer tikka, dal tadka, a nice light raita to cool things down, and a couple of perfect tandoori naan. On top of it being delicious, it was a great value and lasted for days. A new favorite for Indian takeout."
"There are four vegetarian Indian restaurants in this plaza at present. This one is notable for being upstairs and upscale. Numerous signs stated to take the elevator up to this restaurant, but it was down so one had to walk up some stairs. It was open on a holiday, but unsurprisingly busy. I got takeout, but there were chairs and tables unused on the balcony outdoors. They promoted their chole bhatura as being a signature item, and they did a great job with it. Even in takeout, an extra contained with pickled onions, a bit of chili pepper, and a lemon to squeeze were included. The chickpeas themselves were warmly spiced and bursting with flavor, and although I didn't get a really giant bread, two breads of reasonable size made for a large portion overall. I added a veg manchow soup, which came with separate crunchy noodles. It was salty and delivered a flavor fix that allowed me to skip the nearby Indo-Chinese place. They did forget my soup, but I wasn't too concerned about it as they rectified this quickly and it was a busy day for them. I wasn't sold on them being the best of many restaurants nearby, but I'd certainly like to come back."
"This low-key restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Sandy Springs - on Hammond Drive across the street from the strip mall that contains Whole Foods. It occupies the venue that used to contain Loving Hut.It's a casual, warm, and welcoming vibe upon entry. There's a TV one on of the walls displaying the specials for the day as well as additional items (e.g., desserts).I also liked that the menu was reasonably straightforward in its layout, separating the vegan/vegetarian items from the other entrées. For lunch, it comes with a mulligatawny soup and choice of potential upgrade for certain appetizers/breads.The mixed vegetable dish was simple but tasty and filled me up much more than expected. The lamb vindaloo was comparably satisfying. Note that you can also specify the level of spiciness (mild, medium, hot) for your dishes.Service was friendly and straightforward. All in all, it was great for a quick fix to grab Indian food."
"Came by here for dinner the other day with my sister.***ATMOSPHERE***Very clean, quiet and nice inside! There is some seating but not tons. It wasn't crowded at all though! ***STAFF***The staff was beyond friendly! She was so helpful and answered all of our questions. We even wanted some pita, which they didn't have but she recommended another bread that they had instead! And as we left she was asking how we enjoyed the meal and was just very above and beyond / genuinely nice! Definitely makes you want to come back after such a pleasant experience!***FOOD***Very good! I really enjoyed my rice and curry! It was very flavorful and the portion size was filling! ***PRICE***Around 10$ for a meal. Definitely a good price for the size and the quality! It doesn't feel like fast food but it is a quick counter service place. ***CONCLUSION*** Will definitely be a regular here as it is within walking distance from me! If you do need to park, you can park for 2 hours in the parking garage to the right of here for free :)"
"New place, or so we assumed by the "now open" signage. (We're from out of town.) The cafeteria style, fast causal setting was easy to follow. The staff was nice and service was fast. I chose the largest rice bowl. You get to choose a base (two types of rice or greens), a protein (curries) and then topping like shredded veggies, fried goodies like samosas or potato cakes, and sauces. You could also choose some flat breads on the side. Portions are fair, spices are there, and overall, a very versatile meal. Veg friendly, vegan friendly, could make it super 'unhealthy' with lots of fried add ons, or go fresh with raw veggies on top! My dining partners were pleased as well. We ate outside on the patio which was pleasant. Not a stellar meal but overall worth a try! Go check it out!"
"Writing this review has left me feeling a bit conflicted. On one hand, I absolutely adored the ambiance and the service at this place. The food was served promptly, which was a plus. However, when it came to the dishes themselves, I wasn't entirely satisfied. The vada pav, to my delight, surpassed my expectations and left me wanting more. However, other items fell short of the mark. The pav bhaji lacked the traditional flavor I was hoping for, and the rajma-paratha was not good. On the bright side, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. This dilemma leaves me unsure about the rating to give, as I would lean towards a 3.5, but alas, that option is unavailable. In the end, I'll settle for a 4-star rating. If you decide to give this place a try, I highly recommend going for the vada pav and sandwiches, as they are truly exceptional."
"I truly didn't have Biryani Point on my radar when I was cruising around Clarkston looking for a snack. I literally drove past it, saw it, and immediately turned into the busy strip lot. What I couldn't believe is that there was actually no review or page for Biryani on yelp! With expectations in check, I walked on in with fingers crossed! So interior wise, this place is very spacious, and if you google it, you'll see several parties have been held here. There's a small handful of arcade cabinets to the left, and a series of flat screen televisions hanging from the ceiling. You really have no problems with a large group! After checking the menu, I ordered the following:Chicken 65 ($10.99)Veggie samosas ($3.99)When I initially saw the price, there was a bit of sticker shock. 16 bucks for basically two appetizers was a whoa moment. When I got my food however and looked at the amount of food, I quickly realized that not only was the price fair, but it was a bit of a bargain!, The Chicken 65 was a large mound of bright red chunks of fried chicken goodness. It smelled of peppers and the individual pieces are marinated in ginger, garlic and spices. They do provide a slow burn in terms of spice, but nothing crazy. These were crispy and ridiculously tender, and the flavor of these were spot on for me. I'd happily order these again! The Veggie samosas came in 3 big pieces, that were crispy and the filling of these were peas and potato. These also had a slow burn to them, but less so than the Chicken 65. The flavor of these were not bad, but here's the thing....they were pretty greasy. I had to wrap it in paper towels to remove some of the grease. Located just steps away from the popular Refuge Coffee, Biryani Point is sort of a hidden in plain site restaurant, especially if you're not looking for it. There's two entry points for this lot, and I didn't have any problems getting out of the lot onto Market.Biryani Point is a fantastic little indian/nepalese location that serves up solid, authentic flavors that I think you may like. Give them a shot, will ya?"
"This was my first time trying Alfah, an Indian and Chinese food fusion restaurant, and I thought my experience went pretty well. I was with my family and we were the only people dining it at the time for a late lunch. There were a few people that came in but I think they were just ordering take out. We ordered main dishes: chicken tikka masala, mutton biriyani, chicken 65, and palak dal. We also ordered beef, chicken, and veggie samosas and gulab jamun. Positives/favorite dishes: mutton biriyani, chicken 65, and palak dal, veggie samosa. Spice level was great, it really sneaks up on you! Portion sizes for each dish are large enough to feed a family of four! Least favorite: beef and chicken samosa- both samosas did not have much flavor and wasn't our favorite.Chicken tikka masala- we didn't like this dish as much as the others was because it wasn't creamy enough and it did not come with plain rice. I also did not like the fact that some dishes did not come with rice... we did order garlic naan and that was very good but I believe that all dishes (that aren't rice/noodle dishes) should come with plain rice. Overall, i had a great experience and i would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!"
"First timer : wanted to give a 3.5 but gave 4 ! To start with , fantastic location. Pretty close to GTech and right next to few other shops .... They have very few seats indoor and few outdoors. Was very cold today and had to sit indoor.. only 4 families can sit in. Hope they can put more tables / chairs indoors ... Food was ok . For this location, getting Indian food was great but it was less Indian and more American food . Everything was sweet catering to locals . Veggie bowl was ok. We got 2 bowls and both tasted OK . The rice was a bit dry .. paneer was good . 10$ for a bowl wasn't bad . Price wise it was cheaper than other big Indian restaurants. Good for students to have a bowl, once in a while . Overall average food and fantastic for students !"
"I really enjoyed my meal here at India Eats! I see on their website that they have having a Grand Opening special, so this place must be pretty new. Well, welcome to the neighborhood! We got the Butter Chicken, Veggie Biriyani, Tandoori Chicken, and Garlic Naan, and none disappointed! The butter chicken was tender, the sauce was top tier (creamy, rich, with a bit of sweetness). The tandoori chicken was smoky was went so well with the yogurt dipping sauce. The veggie biriyani was packed with veggies (potatoes, peas, and beans). And the garlic naan had a crunch I've never experienced before! The staff was all super nice, and gave us advice on the best ways to enjoy the food. I even caught of glimpse into the kitchen, and it really felt like a home kitchen. Those always make the best meals. All in all, it's great to see a new restaurant arrive, and even greater to have it taste so good!"
