"I had been to The Halal Guys in Chamblee, and had a good experience. Today during lunch was the first time coming to the Dunwoody location, which also turned out to be a good experience.Entrance to the retail parking garage is right off of Hammond. Parking is free for the first two hours. The Halal Guys is just a short walk through the parking garage, up a set of steps, through some doors to go outside, a right turn, and through the entrance doors and you're in the store! Actually, once you walk up the steps and go through the first set of doors, you can look to the right and see into The Halal Guys through the clear glass.R and I walked through the front doors and were immediately greeted by both of the employees behind the counter. We were the only customers in the store at the time. I ordered a beef gyro sandwich, which is served with lettuce, tomato and a pita wrap. The employee making my sandwich asked me if I wanted hummus on the sandwich. I was ready to say yes, assuming that I was being offered something that was included with the sandwich. I asked, "Does hummus come with the sandwich?" The employee stated that it didn't, and it would cost extra. Ok, I understand the upselling of items, but if you're going to ask the customer if he wants something on it, state whether or not there's an uncharge for it. After that employee tried that with me, I wold him that I only wanted its that come with the sandwich, and nothing extra. I got some spicy red sauce that added some heat (yes - no charge).Overall, the ingredients in my sandwich were fresh and delicious. I would definitely get the beef gyro in the future. We both ended up eating inside. Not only were there lots of tables, the entire dining area was clean! The soft drink dispensers were self serve, and the area was also clean and not sticky. I liked that there were brightly colored (red and yellow) and eye catching scenes painted on the walls that illustrated that The Halal Guys started business as a food cart in NYC at W 53 St and 6th Ave.The amount of food in the sandwich left me satisfied. I will definitely return."
"I gave 4-stars only because of the $40 parking fee. I felt that was a bit much considering I was there for dessert & a couple of drinks only. Apparently, there is a club, separate from the dining room in the back of the building. I sat at the bar. I ordered a drink + dessert. My Mojoto was a little sweeter than I have had from other bars, but I drank it down & ordered a Crown + cranberry. It's really hard to mess that up. The Lemoncello cake is the best dessert on the menu. Will I go back? Maybe if they come down on that parking price."

"I've only ever got take out from here so cannot speak to the restaurant ambience. The delivery is always quite quick for Indian food though, I love that!!THE AVAKAI CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI OH MY GOD. Such authentic South Indian flavors. I am so particular about Indian food but this avakai tasted exactly like the one we eat at home. The taste is SO worth the price. I just wanna eat this biryani for every meal now and cannot stop thinking about it. It was spicy in the best way and every bite packed so much flavor. If you're craving biryani, pls look no further. This biryani is so ridiculously delicious. My only note would be, the chicken is boned so you don't get too much food for the money you pay but trust me the taste is worth it. (I've heard that the Vijaywada boneless biryani is not as good, so If you're eating here maybe skip that and get the avakai dum biryani!)"
"I ended up checking this place out on a whim when I saw them on the Too Good to Go app. It's such an easy way to pick up a random dish allowing me check out a new biz so I always keep my eyes open for new places. Springreens stood out to me when I realized that it was Halal and that they had a mission to their meals, so I figured they were definitely worth a try. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and easy to find. Parking is a bit interesting but finding a spot was a breeze. When I entered on a weekend afternoon, I was surprised to see a number of guests inside chatting and eating away as it poured down outside. The restaurant interior is well thought out, with tall sitting booths in one area, a few tables and a nice little stage area in the back. I can imagine that they have large crowds and perhaps, events, in this space. There's also a good amount of space for a line to queue up right in front of their hot bar. The hot bar was full of different sides, meats and more. It smelled SO good in there. I was greeted and let the woman at the cash register know that I was picking up a Too Good to Go order and she quickly moved into action. If you're not familiar with the aforementioned app, it offers some great deals of varying prices at different restaurants all over. The trick is, you don't know what you're going to receive until you get to the restaurant. I ended up receiving a baked chicken meal with a side of veggies, some mac & cheese and my choice of bread, I went with cornbread. The young lady who prepared my plate was not new to this at all, and loaded me up with all the goods. So appreciated! I was in and out within 10 minutes or less. The meal portion was great for me, even more than I expected for $8. The veggies were well-cooked but not seasoned, but with how health is in the country, I don't even blame them and perhaps I could use less salt in my life anyways lol. The mac and cheese was good, would have loved more cheese, but the crust was nice and brown, and it was a good portion. The chicken was delicious! Super moist and juicy, the skin was well-seasoned, best part of the plate.I will absolutely be returning to try more options and see what else they have going on!"
"This is the real deal. I wish we had karachi food like this in Florida. I loved the food at Karachi broast. We ordered the chicken piece of karachi broast, burger and boti roll. All three things were amazing and I'm craving it today but I'm in Florida and not in Georgia. They have multiple locations in Georgia. The employee or owner was sweet and quirky, I was sad they weren't selling haleem anymore. But he was very frank about it because they were just not selling enough it, storing process is complicated plus he personally doesn't like it lol.Anyways, service was quick and good. I ordered desi style tea at the end which was strong chai, so good after that meal.Side note- love the fact that they had a prayer in the back if you wanted to pray. So many restaurants don't have that, I really liked that idea."
"WOW! I'm middle eastern and grew up eating Mediterranean food daily and this place WOW'd me. The chicken shawarma has so much flavor and is so tender it melts in your mouth. My husband got the lamb shank and said it was a must and it just falls off the bone it's so tender. They come with rice, a small salad, pita and hummus. Everything was so good. Be careful with that spicy red sauce is it SPICY! I couldn't handle it, but my husband enjoyed it. Overall will definitely come back. Parking is paid structure parking"
"I usually try different items every time I visit a venue. This was my first time trying the burrito and gordita. The gordita is a fried tortilla cut in half and stuffed with beans, lettuce, and protein. I ordered the chicken and it tasted great. The burrito I received was supposed to be a bowl but they spotted the mistake themselves and gave me a soft drink to make up for it. The burrito was huge and filled with barbacoa. I can't believe I this was my first time getting a burrito here. The salsas are good as well. Red salsa is very hot and green salsa is pretty mild."
"Serious Indian takeout with serious spice, we loved our recent order from Bawarchi. I am always on the lookout for Indo-Chinese, and was intrigued by this spot's wide selection. We went with an order of gobi Manchurian and chili paneer, both of which were delicious and oh-so-spicy (buyer beware). We rounded out our order with tasty paneer tikka, dal tadka, a nice light raita to cool things down, and a couple of perfect tandoori naan. On top of it being delicious, it was a great value and lasted for days. A new favorite for Indian takeout."
"Mixed shawarma honestly hit the spot. one half was chicken and the other lamb. I couldn't pinpoint which one was better because both were flavorful and the best part is I don't have to because I can just order mixed again next time. Service was timely and friendly. I will say their baba ganoush was a different style than I used to and found it less of an eggplant flavor and more of other refreshing veggies. I personally prefer a stronger eggplant flavor but to each their own."
"This low-key restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Sandy Springs - on Hammond Drive across the street from the strip mall that contains Whole Foods. It occupies the venue that used to contain Loving Hut.It's a casual, warm, and welcoming vibe upon entry. There's a TV one on of the walls displaying the specials for the day as well as additional items (e.g., desserts).I also liked that the menu was reasonably straightforward in its layout, separating the vegan/vegetarian items from the other entrées. For lunch, it comes with a mulligatawny soup and choice of potential upgrade for certain appetizers/breads.The mixed vegetable dish was simple but tasty and filled me up much more than expected. The lamb vindaloo was comparably satisfying. Note that you can also specify the level of spiciness (mild, medium, hot) for your dishes.Service was friendly and straightforward. All in all, it was great for a quick fix to grab Indian food."

The menu is the same as an halal guys, so no surprises. The location was very convenient for me. There is parking available in the gated lot right behind the store. Two hours free parking. The store was well kept and I can tell that this place got a lot more pick ups and delivery orders than walk in when regular businesses nearby are not open. All their food was fresh.

This place was a vibe!! I planned a happy hour event for my Facebook group (Atlanta Social Crew). We came here on a Friday right at 6. I loved the decor. Everything looked so nice. They have plenty of space for large parties. It was about 12 of us. Happy has $10 drink of the day. $6 shot of the day and $20 hookah. It's from 6-8p but they did extend it til 11pm while we were there. Let me say Ciara, our server, was amazing! She was so attentive and that's rare when you have a large party. She was super sweet. I'll come back just to sit with her! I ordered the shrimp kabob. It was so good and flavorful. They have a small parking lot in the front. I think they valet as it gets later in the day. They are open until 6am! I will be back. Reel on Instagram : @miss_mekad

Bawarchi Biryanis is a very solid option when it comes to Indian food in the Sandy Springs area. Although it is nowhere near the best Indian food I've had, their wide range of options and location has made this my local Indian stop. The food in general is decent and pretty authentic, with plenty of room for improvement. Just as a disclaimer, all of my experiences with Bawarchi have been with the take-out side of the restaurant. Bawarchi is one of the few Indian places I know that have a dining room, but also a separate side for take-out orders. I love this concept, and lots of other people seem to buy into that. I realize that the quality of food is not quite the same if you bring it home, rather than eat at the restaurant. However, given that all of my orders come from this side, I think they should prepare for this the best they can, and they do a decent job for the most part. I've been able to try a lot of different things in a few visits because of the variety of food that is on offer. They have meat dishes, vegetarian dishes, chicken, and lamb. Their cuisines range from traditional Indian food to dishes with Chinese influence and even Szechuan flavors. In general, I think their curries are right in the middle of the pack with all other curries I've had. The quality seems to lack a little consistency across the board. Their egg curry was jam packed with flavor, but a little oily. Meanwhile, their palak paneer was on the bland and watery side. On the positive end, their butter chicken was fantastic. The curry is rich and flavorful, and the chicken is tender. This only scratches the surface of their curries as I haven't even had a chance to touch the goat curries. But from previous experiences, I can't anticipate what the quality will look like. In terms of dry chicken dishes, I found them to be decent, but missing something. The malai tikka kebab had good flavor, but was a little dry. Their chicken 65 was a little disappointing. Not only was it dry, it also needed some extra seasoning, or even more breading. I think a sauce or a chutney really would have elevated both dishes. They also serve noodles here, I got the Indo-Chinese hakka noodles. They were good, but I was not blown away by them. Their take-out system seems to work for them, but one thing that might help them out is a notifying system. They tend to give a really rough estimate about when your food is ready, but if it is done quicker then your food just sits around, thus ruining the quality. I think if they implemented a phone number tracking system it could keep the organization levels high, while ensuring the food is the highest quality during transaction. My goal with Bawarchi now is to continue to go through the menu until I find the perfect combination of items for a perfect Indian meal. Once I can settle on a few items that are consistently good, then it will become my go-to meal. It may take me few times to figure it out, but I know Bawarchi will come through for me!

This is a very pleasant restaurant run professionally by nice people. They have food on a hot food bar and you choose what you want. It's clean food - no frills. It's a little too tame for my palate, but I appreciate the concept.Located in a strip mall so easy parking.

Chef Amal knows what she's DOING. Sadly she is only at the EAV food hall on Friday during lunch currently, but I am so glad we stopped in randomly for lunch on a Friday. We had no particular plans for what food to get, and after she offered a sample of her eggplant, we knew we needed more! We had an veggie plate and a chicken plate. Each comes with the main stewed item, some rice, green beans, hummus and pita, and some of her homemade hot sauce. Do not forego the hot sauce, it is the perfect amount of spicy and so full of flavor! If you're not a spice lord though no worries, her food is incredible with or without the hot sauce. The chicken was so tender, it was falling apart under my fork, and I felt so nourished. The green beans are amazing and so is the eggplant. If I wasn't typically working on Fridays I'd be here every week and I can tell she has quite a few regulars.

So it's inside of a gas station and a convenience store and next door to a laundromat. Place that you would never think that would have a restaurant but, maybe you would lol. So it's kind of tucked away but if you know what you're looking for you'll find it. At the time that I went the sign didn't have any wording on it because of the weather, so you have to kind of know where you're going. So it's a convenience store and a gas station so you have plenty of things that you can buy to drink and eat like, if you wanted to get up beverage while you were waiting for your food. The grill isn't super large but that's okay, it's just the right amount of space. As far as a seating goes there are really not that many seats there, so you probably want to do carry out. There are some longer areas that could be tabletops and then are a couple of tables and boots, but only a handful. So if you're trying to come and sit down with several of your friends, this may not be the spot for you.I got the wings, and fries, and a beef birra and a steak birria taco. I order and waited so I know that it was fresh and right off the grill. The fries were heavily seasoned. They were a little bit soft because of the temperature that they were put into the Styrofoam so it probably didn't help but I'm not going to take off of that because that's just science. But they seasoned the hell out of them, they were good and they didn't actually need ketchup. The wings were okay, But at the same time I feel like they were too salty. There's one thing to have seasoned wings but there's a whole other thing to have nothing but sodium from the lemon pepper. So I probably would not get the little pepper flavor again honestly.. I wish there a little more crispy but there was probably because of the same reasoning that the fries were not as crispy (so can't take off for that). The tacos came with all of the trimmings that you would expect a birria taco to have. Came with the dip In a couple of sauces as well. But the dip was so good that you didn't actually need any salsa or hot sauce with it. I would get those again. Overall if you want a quick stop off in your own Buford highway, this seems like a be a good spot to get some tacos!

In love, I will be back.. customer service was amazing and welcoming and the food was hot and good. I also took leftovers home and usually don't. The reason for not giving it its 5th star was because it needs to be updated and some color to spruce up the place and new dishes.

"I really like this place. I love the service, the little added touches and of course the food. Tonight we had chicken shingara, chicken tikka, and the wings. All were excellent! Hubby got a mulligatawny soup which I said no to bc I haven't really liked it in the past. With his bowl the waiter brought 2 small silver bowls and spoons (ex of little touches) and since he brought them hubby gave me a taste. Wow!!! Besides wow I'll just say that we ordered one to go it was so good! I'll drive across town just for that. Go to this place. FYI Not sure if you can bring your own but there is no alcohol served here. Oh! They also served a complimentary dessert which was lovely and a nice treat and the perfect way to round out the meal."
"Tannour is a very casual spot, and it doesn't pretend to be anything. What I like about it is that it delivers on flavor. We got the falafel and shaved chicken - along with all the relevant toppings. Bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the sauces as a free option to provide some extra flair for your dish. Also got the baklava. It was delicious - but much smaller than expected.I was also happy that the environment was clean (perhaps because we were among the first to walk in).I'd be happy to return."
"This place can get extremely busy due to its location. The service was exceptional. Lots of Halal options. It is a little pricey but well worth it."
"If you are in search of flavors that make your tongue tingle with Mediterranean Glee and an added something something then, this is the place for you! Arhiboo Shawarma is a casual go-to, offering a mix of typical Middle Eastern fare, from gyros to falafel, in simple digs. Interior decor pretty minimal, but the food is very tasty. As the saying goes, "good things come in small packages". This small restaurant located in Stone Mountain off Memorial Drive and Rock Bridge Road is the best Mediterranean food. A humble family operated business. The lady that is at the counter is so lovely and friendly. Food is prepared to order, freshly cooked and you can see their kitchen from the counter while ordering and paying your bill.My first time coming here, went with a colleague of mine and we ordered the meat combination Shawarma plate which comes with two kinds of meats of your choice with Basmati, Rice, Greek Salad and Pita Bread. I choose for Lamb and Chicken as the meats. Large portions of meal, tendered meat, very flavorful and tasty food with minimal wait time. Basmati Rice was soft and fluffy just the way rice should be. They give you a ton of rice, get some extra sauce though. This place is just a counter seating. It is really a take out place with few places to sit. They have few chairs outside, you can use that when the inside is full or if you like to enjoy the patio style. Reasonable and affordable prices. Clean place and they also have drive-thru available. Go eat at this place, you won't be disappointed. As this place is in a shopping plaza, their is ample free parking in and around the restaurant. I would really recommend this place to give a try. I will be sure going back."
"Amazing Persian food, really glad to have visited this place. We went on a busy night and my only complaint is there's not enough seating. We were able to snag a table outside but once we got the food everything else seemed small. The kobideh kabab was amazing, it was so juicy, flavorful and the rice was well seasoned as well. Prices of entrees are $15-18 and can be shared between two people. Would recommend!"
"I just came here last night for dinner with Friends. We were a big group so I was thankful that they were able to accommodate all of us. We ordered a variety of dishes: lollipop chicken, chicken wings, shrimp chow mein, house special fried rice, soups, chili beef, etc. Standouts to me were the wings (spicy), lollipop chicken, the chicken corn soup & Thai soup (very spicy) & the fried rice. The chow mein was ok. A few friends got the lamb chops & chicken dishes & said they were decent but nothing amazing. Overall, I would come back to try more dishes since it's still a new establishment but wouldn't order certain things again."
"Friendly service and a great fast-casual restaurant with good prices. Have been here a couple of times and the food has been good every time. I enjoy the masala bowl, the portion is great and it's tasty. The samosas are delicious too. Great location too in Atlantic Station."
"Wow is my first impression of the food. The price is pretty reasonable too. The downside is the lack of seating if you were to come here with a large ish group. But the food does come out quick. There's a 'couple set' deal that's decently priced. The hubs said that we should have gone with that deal for a couple more bucks then we would have gotten more food. Gosh. Such a guy comment. I just wanted a sandwich while he wanted a combo and much more. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich was super delicious. The chicken had really juicy dark meat with a nice crispy skin. It was a pretty sizable patty too. The other ingredients were simple with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. Even though I rarely get anything spicy, the spice level on this was pretty mild. The crispy cod fish sandwich was surprisingly tasty too. The fish's crust had a nice crunch that wasn't too battered or oily. There was also a good portion to the fried cod with accompanying lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The fries were pretty decent. I usually don't like thick fries because of the super potato-y taste, but these were golden and pretty crispy. The staff was super nice. Prices decent. Quick service. I do indeed would visit again and try their other menu items."
"The young man/owner/chef served my meal with a smile and was very pleasant. There is few street parking and also a few spots directly in front of the deli. I called and placed my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, I arrived at the communicated pick up time and still had to wait about 15 minutes. It didn't appear he had started my order. Maybe he wasn't sure I would come, not sure but it took longer than expected. The food was packaged well and still warm when I arrived home. I had the Jack's Fish Market. Pan Seared Wild Caught Salmon Finished in a Garlic Butter Baste on a bed of Kale w/ Sauteed Peppers, Onions, & Mushrooms in a sub. I believe I requested it spicy, however it was on the sweeter side. The sandwich was good, I personally prefer spicy over sweeter seafood dishes. I'm not sure I would order this again unless I get a guarantee that it would have a decent spice level. With that said, I still recommend you support this small black owned business. I plan on stopping by again and trying a different sandwich."
"We have recently enjoyed a couple of meals at Ruchi and we have absolutely loved the food. We have gone on recommendations of the staff and have not been disappointed by anything that we have tried. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive and all our many questions were helpfully answered. The interior is small, seating maybe 40 people, but it's comfortable and not crowded. From the outside it looks nothing special, but it's definitely worth the trip inside."
"This place is totally ! I didn't know what to expect when I heard the name of the restaurant "Naanstop" because it was a play on the Indian bread "naan" but it didn't disappoint.I've been to cultural food spots like this that plays on fast food (think Mexican Chipotle or Korean Bibibop or Chinese Panda Express) but this place hands down keeps it authentic. The naan was suppurb and the choices of meats hit the spot. They were voted top samosa(think Indian egg roll with chick peas) of Atlanta. You start off choosing the type of entree you desire (bowl, naanwich, or salad). You then choose your meats (chicken Tikka masala, turkey kabob, lamb, chola(chickpea), Gobi(cauliflower) or Punjabi dal(lentil). On to the toppings like grilled onions and peppers, corn salad, cabbage slaw or spinach. Laslty you finish it off with chutney sauces which are either cool, sweet, medium or hot. They also had a great choice of beverages like mango lasi, chai tea as well as india's favorite soda, Thums up!Definitely would hit this spot up again when I return to Atlanta!"
"I ordered takeout as my sister and I were wiped out after multiple days of back to back appointments. Everything come well packed and separated but with no utensils or napkins. Luckily for us, our hotel had those on standby in the lobby. Unsure if rice came with the order, we ended up with 4 containers of basmati rice for our two orders. It wouldn't have been as much of an issue if we could have eaten the leftovers but we had a plane to catch first thing in the morning the next day. Even so, two rices cost $6 which wasn't a huge waste of money. Spice wise, we opted for medium since hot and extra hot was for additional costs. We got their Garlic Naan Bread, Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Makhni. The bread was soft and had fresh pieces of garlic on top, I was in love and only wished I had it fresh. Basmati rice had split fennel seeds cooked with it which added to the depth of flavors. Both chicken dishes were tasty and unique. The vindaloo was slightly sour and I thought more spicy that the makhni which was more buttery. Food sat well in our stomachs as we went to bed shortly after and woke up without any upset belly issues. Would order from here again!"
"I tried their hot today!!! Got 10 piece hot wings!!! The flavor was really rich & savory!it does come with frys too!! Will definantly try their other flavors next!!!"
"I've visited Royal Spice's Dunwoody location on many occasions and I think they have some of the best and most authentic Indian food in the area. Their menu has so many different options of appetizers, curries and much more. I've only had an opportunity to try a select handful of items, but each dish I've had has been delicious and I feel confident that everything else would be just as good.I'm a fairly basic person when it comes to curry, so I'm very familiar with their butter chicken and their chicken tikka masala. Although fairly similar, you can definitely distinguish between the two at Royal Spice. The tikka masala is definitely a bit sweeter. However, both curries are fragrant and taste delicious. The chicken cubes are tender and absorb the flavor of the curry quite well. I've also had their chicken biryani and this is one of my favorite biryanis. The saffron they use in the rice is evident throughout, and the flavors compliment each other quite well. There's spice, some earthiness, and pairing it with the yogurt adds a lightness and creaminess to the dish. It is simply fantastic. On the vegetarian front, I've had their bhindi masala (okra) and their palak paneer. The vegetables they use in those dishes taste fresh and they tend to make the vegetarian dishes stand out more with extra spice. I found these two dishes to be spicier than the meat dishes, at the same heat level. The portion sizes at Royal Spice are a plus. They serve you a lot of curry for the price, and isn't stingy about the rice. As someone who will come here alone most times, getting one curry is enough. The ambiance of the restaurant is bright and cozy and service has always been attentive. I will absolutely continue to visit Royal Spice. I haven't even been able to try out their lunch special, which I hear is a big hit!"
"A lot of people are calling this the Chipotle of Indian food and they are not wrong. They have a few parking spots in the front and a large lot in the back. There is also a small eating area in the front with cover. I came in an ordered a bowl with brown rice, chicken tiki masala, paneer tiki masala, and kaboob. I added grilled peppers, onions, spinach and the hot seasoning. The flavor was not as impactful as I thought. The hot seasoning was hot but they gave me a small amount. Bowl was pretty small as well. Good enough for a meal.I also got the iced Chia tea. It is not worth it."
"* FoodThis place is so good. I had a rice bowl and the mac and cheese bowl. Both were crazy delicious and so much food it made two servings. I still think about that jerk chicken. Food is awesome. Definitely going into my repeats.* ServiceWell, if you must know, there were enough complaints about "slow service" that I tried to go during an off-peak time. I ended up there when there was only one or two other tables, went to the counter, and put in my order. What I figured out is ... the service is very pleasant. The folks there are patient, helpful, and attentive. What I think people are talking about is how long it takes for food to come out. Here's the thing, Auntie Vee ain't shortcutting. When your mac and cheese comes out, it's been baked and is bubbling at your table. It's worth it.* AmbianceSpacious, comfortable seating... but no actual kind of theme. They had a projector set up with a movie playing when we were there. We passed the time waiting on order, playing one of many types of board/card games -- UNO in our case."
